Station in Eastleigh

Had a meal with my partner. Ordered a chicken dish. Something simple as menu was limited. When I checked the bill I noticed a £2 surcharge was added for my chicken dish. I asked why and the couldn't give me a satisfactory reply. I did complain and 2 days later I was offered a free meal to woo me back in . I didn't take offer up. Mug me off once my business goes else where

Visited today with my wife and 6 year old for the final day of Rishi eats. This was my 7th meal out this month and this was my favourite.Staff were excellent and food was delivered with a smile and in good time. I had the chip shop platter and it tasted as good as what you'd get from your local chippy. If I'd paid full price today I'd have been just as happy as I was just paying half price.Will definitely be going back, and an added bonus they're carrying on 50% off Monday to Wednesdays in September

Attended this evening. Ordered 2 meals for £9.98 and two non alcoholic drinks.Took over an hour for meals to arrive and then we sent them back as they were barely warm.I requested a free tea to warm up which took tok a lot of persuasion.Nearly 3/4 later t came our meals again and were only slightly better.Staff were excellent on covid precautions.

Visited here 24th aug at 1310Told on entry upto 40 min wait for food.Fair enough. Was shown to table. Just me and my 15month daughter.Knew what i wanted so went and ordered Had vouchers to use and knew i couldnt get change so asked if could set a tab with my card, and pay after they seemed baffled and said someone will come over to speak with me.I waited 26mins for my drink to be delivered to table, place was only half full.A miserable women came over and said we can take voucher but no change, i said im aware but was going to purchase another drink can i open tab she was just said u cant get change then walked off in a huff... weird..55 mins passed and NO food delivered to table i asked a staff member and he said that its next order, and we are busy it was HALF FULL not BUSY. I said not to worry about the food now as had to move my car.. another staff member came overand said we stated would be 45mins wait i said i was told up to 40 and its been 55 minsHe did say they would wave the charges for food , i said not worry as waited an hourAs i was leaving the food came out (1hr6mins later) in an near on empty pub/restaurant. I didnt have the food as only had a few mins left on parking... not good service at all and hate to think what’s it like when ‘busy’Also to add its like minus 10 in that place far too cold.

Tried to support our local pub (there are other pubs available). Went in and got seated, the air conditioning made it feel like it was minus 10 degrees so we moved table. One of the staff took the opportunity to ask if we could let them know if we move table because that table might have been booked. We were like ‘well there’s no sign on the table and the pub is empty’. They were like ‘well it might have been booked’. So we just left - really not interested in giving money to a pub that have staff seemingly searching out a confrontation. Good luck to them. We actually boycotted this pub last year because of the terrible service and hygiene. Thought we should give it another go. Nup never again.

Nice. Warm. Good food and prices worth a visit. Very nice atmosphere. Been here before when it was the littern tree and has been done up and good

Used to go to The Station weekly for breakfast with my family but since most of the old staff have left it seems to have gone down hill. The food always seems to have run out, if it is available it’s always a very long wait even when quiet and the staff don’t seem to be able to cope with what food orders they do get (saying you don’t like something in an order and asking for it to be replaced by something else seems to be a big no no). Popped in New Years Eve for a few drinks and was greeted in the men’s room by 3 women who were chatting to the bathroom attendant next to the urinals and made no effort to leave. When a staff member walked in he just chatted to them too rather than asking them to leave. It seems like the staff need some training or guidance in how to run a pub.To keep out under age drinkers the pub/door people does take photo ID from everyone and scan it into their system which seems like a good idea but when I asked what they did with data and was it held securely was told I could go else where if I didn’t like it.

Beer yes.... Food no......simply awful. Cold burgers, cold chips/fries served. Wasn't expecting much but ........

Previously, we've had good food in this establishment, but yesterday was very disappointing. Some of the meals were unavailable, so we had to keep reordering. When the food eventually arrived one hour later, it was lukewarm and the chips were missing. The nachos had hardly any cheese on them, & the mozzarella sticks were empty of cheese - just hollow batter tubes. We would've complained, but the waitress appeared to avoid us like the plague!Fortunately, the beer was good.

1st time at the station, oh dear, guy behind the bar’s get up and go had got up and gone, lady bar staff working hard, I think there might have been a few issues with the food, sitting close to the bar.Leanne was clearly under pressure but managed somehow to shine through. Well done her, an asset I’m sure. Pleasant and friendly.(Leanne that is)

A group of 14 of us had arranged to have our Christmas meal in The Station, Public House, 36-38 High Street, Eastleigh, SO50-5LE, on the 12/12/19 at 6-00pm.We had all previously selected our meal options from the set Christmas menu & paid our deposits as required. We all arrived at the chosen date & time at The Station on time & sat down on our reserved tables. After a general chat & a laugh, we decided we were ready for our meal & so informed the staff that we were ready to eat at about 6-45pm. Little did we know that this was going to be the start of our nightmare.After a long wait our starters finally arrived, luckily for me I had not ordered a starter, my colleague’s pawns in their pawn cocktail were still frozen & I was offered a tomato & basil soup from a person who had not arrived & I must admit the soup was very good.The plates were cleared away & after another long wait a gravy boat was placed on our table, for the people who had ordered turkey. We should have suspected something was going to go wrong when we discovered that the gravy boat was warm & the contents inside, I cannot call it gravy under any circumstances, were cold & had separated into their various components & had gravy granules floating in it. This was bought to the attention of the staff & was returned & replaced.Finally, after another long wait our meals arrived, on reflection I wish that they had not arrived. I had ordered “Boneless eight-hour braised rib of beef in cranberry sauce, roast potatoes & seasonal vegetables” Where do I begin, the vegetables were cold, the brussels sprouts were uneatable & the so-called beef could not be chewed all in a cold purple congealed mess of a glob & the roast potatoes were cold. I returned the meal & I was not even offered a replacement meal.Most people did not finish their insipid looking meals & this was bought to the attention of the staff, most of whom were apologetic & helpful. They said that the problem was due to having a new chef who had only been there for two weeks, maybe the chef should consider a career change. Other people complained & we were offered a free round of drinks, which arrived after another long wait, as the complaints escalated, we were offered our money back, which we accepted.The plates were again cleared away & after another long wait, which seem to be the standard procedure here the deserts finally arrived & some my colleagues profiteroles which they had ordered, were still frozen, I had ordered “warm apple & plum pie & custard”, surprise surprise the “warm apple & plum pie” looked uncooked & had never ever seen the inside of an oven in my opinion & the custard was cold, I again returned my meal & again I was not offered a replacement. The complete evening had been a complete & utter disaster I went home to have a late-night snack & swore never never never to eat in The Station again & my advice to you is to the same. Go Elsewhere & I defy you to find another place as appalling this.

Popped in whilst shopping in Eastleigh for a family lunch, 4 adults, 3 kids. For an unexplained reason we were kept waiting pushing an hour and a half for our lunch to arrive. It was not busy at all, no explanation was given, no apology, no offer of a drink to compensate. I checked a couple of times to find out how long it would be and the last time I got up to ask I was told to "calm down, it's on its way". I realise this was said in a jokey way by the barman but still... there were three hungry kids as well as the adults!When the food finally came it was okay, but was just placed on the table, again no apology about the incredibly lengthy delay. If we hadn't already paid we would have walked out.

I visited The Station in Eastleigh today with my children and upon my arrival I was greeted by a member of staff who I believe was named Leane. She was very welcoming and smiley. We found our table and got settled and it wasn’t long until Leane was at our table to make sure we were ok, still smiling. Leane asked if we needed a high chair and was happy to help and offered her assistance. We were ready to order food and I ordered at the bar. Whilst waiting for our food I noticed that Leane seemed to be working alone, juggling between serving food and drinks and doing this well and efficiently considering she seemed to be working alone and the pub isn’t small. When the food finally arrived at the table it was luke warm, dry and the chips seemed to have been over cooked or cooked more than once, they didn’t look like the menu and seemed to be shop bought. The kids didn’t even eat them. Leane did come back to the table a few mins later to make sure everything was ok with the meal, which we explained it wasn’t, I never complain but the food was bad and as I said my children didn’t even eat it. Leane offered us dessert free of charge because of the food, which we did accept but we still then waited a further 45 mins for it to arrive. Leane couldn’t apologise enough, still smiling and seeming under a lot of pressure. As bad as the food was she couldn’t do enough and was very attentive to our needs as busy as she looked. She always smiles somehow! Lovely waitress and she made my experience better but hopefully this pub improves in the future. Thank you Leane

We visited today as a last minute idear. It was very busy on arrival As soon as we arrived I was greeted by a lovely member of staff called leanne who promptly cleaned the booth witch we wanted to sit in. She then spent a few minuets chatting to us and ensuring we had a child’s menu for our young daughter. The bar was very busy I cued for sometime to order with only one bar staff and one waitress for a Sunday !!! when ordering I was a little disappointed there was no meat option for the build your own board I had to go away aske what my husband wanted then again cue at the bar to order . Leanne didn’t serve me but was near the bar when I ordered again she went out of her way to apologise for this. After ordering sauces and cutlery were promptly brought to our table and meals followed a long long time after the food was awful we have Ryan hear many times but the beef was mega tug there was something in my husbands burger and the meals are cold. Served by Leanne again she made sure we had everything and apologies for the long wait she then apologised for the terrible meals She returned after a short while and meals were refunded If all was ok with the meals. I would like to say thank you for such a lovely waitress she was a credit to the company and clearly enjoys her job she was working very very hard to keep all the customers happy nothing was to much trouble. I do feel tho you could do with some extra staff to support Leanne tho as she was on her own. Serving We have visiting for a long might not visit for a while I hope it improves in rhe future.

Went in for food during the day and it was spot on, no faults. Staff and service were excellent. Ended up staying for a few beers. First time I've been in but I'll definitely be back.

All staff are very welcoming, the food was delicious, great atmosphere and brilliant prices. Would highly recommend.

Great Food, Great Atmosphere and Fantastic Staff I would definitely recommend. Only popped in while visiting Eastleigh in business and I was not disappointed.

Do not even attempt to try and get into this pub for a drink in the evening because if you do not carry any form of photo ID they will not let you in even if you are over that dreaded big 50 it is totally completely over the top the place is empty and if it was a high end quality establishment I would understand but no it is not it's Eastleigh come on really.

Went for a meal there yesterday. 3 of us. After 45 minutes 2 meals arrived . They said mine would follow shortly. 20 minutes later mine arrived after asking many times. It was disgusting I couldn’t even get my teeth through the chicken. We wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

I had a voucher for a free pint of Guinness which I had at the Station pub, after that I purchased another pint of Guinness plus a lovely meal. Top class five stars all round.

We have started to use this establishment in preference to Weatherspoons,for one you get served very quickly and the staff are friendly.Children are welcome inside,however it can get noisy.There are tables outside so you can have a pint and a cigarette in comfort.We have eaten there and the food was hot and well presented

We started coming here with an impromptu breakfast visit. Good value, good food, wide choice and friendly staff. Must been good as we keep going back.

Had a swift pint and fish,chips n mushy peas. Bang on. Lovely food, great prices and a good selection of ales. Will be back.

Impromptu breakfast for 5 adults and 2 kids and pleasantly surprised by the value, quality and the service. Clean, well lit with a great breakfast selection of food and good coffee/tea provided by chirpy staff. Looks a little dark from the outside and perhaps not family friendly but happy to be wrong, nothing was too much trouble.

Came for dinner and the Women's World Cup match. There's loads of TVs around for sports fans. We had a booth seat and were close to the projector screen and several other TVs. Staff were excellent. We unfortunately had a problem with our food order but the barman sorted it for us very honestly and efficiently.

Its been a couple of years since I visited, but the Full English Breakfast is not only one of the cheapest (less than £5) but also the BEST for miles around. Staff are friendly, and the atmosphere not bad for a pub (during the morning, I believe it becomes more lively at night).

Went here with old friend for lunch good selection of real ales friendly staff food was good for pub we were not expecting restaurant quality BUT you can't always gaurentee that either clean tables food was hot clean cutlery prices extremely good great afternoon highly recommend

Every Friday me and my friend go for brunch with our youngest daughters, we usually go to Wetherspoons but not anymore. The staff here are much nicer, the food is loads better and the atmosphere was great. Looks like we’ll be here every Friday now!

Paid a visit one midweek evening between Christmas 2018 and New year.

Always friendly, great value,staff welcoming no matter how busy. Great for family and friends get together.Good choice of food,a selection of various veggie dishes.Its just great.

Hands down you get the best breakfast Eastleigh has to offer here. Ideal if your your doing some early shopping or your out and about and missed breakfast. Decent selection, the staff are friendly and will accommodate your needs and it’s al at a really good price. I’ve only been here in the mornings so can’t really comment on anything else.

Friendly service, always quick to serve, food is what you expect from a high street pub but it definitely ticks all the boxes for value.

We hired the hall upstairs at the Station for our Son who was turning 30 and also emigrating to USA. Right from the start we were very impressed with the staff, especially the young girl that worked behind the bar for us. So polite and helpful.

2nd visit, love this place, huge variety on menu, great prices, food hot and delicious, lovely staff. What more could you want?

Been here just a few times and the staff get to know you quickly and are really friendly especially the little blonde girl with glasses. Way better than a overcrowded Wetherspoons with moody staff and slow service.

Pub is ok and loo.is ok.but my food come out fast but my friends food tock 45min to.come out because the till. Broke and thanks

Popped in for breakfast whilst in Eastleigh. Very well decorated and pleasant staff. Food and drinks on the breakfast menu well priced. Food came quick and was very nice.

Been a couple of times in the past few weeks for a quick lunch. I must say that both times have been very different. On both occasions I opted for the club sandwich deal. The first time I can honestly say it was the best club sandwich I have ever had. However the drink that came as part of the deal was very small and there was about 10 chips thrown on the side of the plate. Also the sauces were having to be shared around the restaurant as not enough bottles to go around.

Most friendly staff and team. Always a welcoming environment, Utd on the judebox is always the highlight of my visit each day :)

The pub is amzing and lovey stuff and lovey food and toliets need a bit.of.clean abd all off the reast is.ok

Avoid at all costs the place is dirty tables sticky floor dirty and bar area is sticky and dirty.

We didnt eat here but the service was really good and fast. Next time we are down we will try the food cos the menu looked really good and a good price

Popped here as daughter has been a few times and says for the price it's a good breakfast We had the all day breakfast at £5.99 Apart from slightly firm eggs it was a good breakfast Would go back

Had to queue up to buy beers, very reasonably priced and excellent value for money. Loyalty card works very well.

I was recommended here, and my goodness what a delight and fantastic Value for money. I managed to feed myself and my son, 2 breakfast and 2 hot drinks for under £10? We received complimentary toast whilst waiting for our food to arrive, what better way to entertain a child! The waiting staff were ever so polite and it was so lovely to see staff enjoying their job. The food was delicious and I can’t wait to return.

This is not the first time we have been to the Station and this is why...

Myself and my friends stumbled across this place Saturday evening, we popped in for a couple and ended up staying the evening! We ordered a couple of cocktails and couldn't believe they were all buy one get one free! If that's not a perfect tea time tipple then what is! The staff were very friendly and had great drink knowledge so each cocktail got better and better. We ended up staying and for food, and order tapas style dishes, 10 small dishes between 6 of us worked out as less that £4 each? Not your usual pub grub either. Excellent value for money, fantastic service, and can't wait to return. Thank you The station for a fabulous Saturday night.

By far the best of the Eastleigh town pubs. Welcoming and friendly, great ales at fantastic prices and spacious so what is not to like.

Despite returning our meals because they were cold we were then given fresh meals lukewarm not good. We asked for coffee at 8.00pm to be told coffee machine had been turned off. Do not go here will not return

I was interested in the egg rarebit, which I added toast and coffee with. It was a very tasty breakfast. Loved the taste sensation of the egg and the cheese used. Lovely crispy slices of toast and perfect hot coffee.

Where do i start. Heineken extra cold, not. In a warm glass as they were not bothered to put it in a cooler fridge. Sloppy service, 7food not as described in menu, uncleared sticky tables. This was undoubtedly a locals pub. The advertised football was turned over for the cricket at the request of a local, without checking with the rest of the pub, who promptly left 5 minutes later. The pub was not empty. Eastleigh already has problems getting people in to its centre with its exhorbitant car park charges so the establishments in it need to up their game.....

Looking for a reasonable meal we decided to try The Station. There was plenty of room and we chose a small table by the window to watch the world go by.

Abusive member of door staff called me a 'faggot'. No other member of staff were willing to discuss the incident. Best avoided.

Went to this pub for a late breakfast today at 11.30am. Service was good. Food was poor. It tasted like it had been cooked hours previously and kept warm. Bacon and sausages were solid, eggs were hard and broken. Got the impression it was just thrown on the plate. Have had dodgy tummies ever since. Toilets were disgusting.

I visited with my friend. She has just had a little baby and we thought we would go some where chilled as i have a 2 year old and we both have buggies. Unfortunatly my 2 year old was having an off day (as they all do) the staff were more then accomidating. Anything we needed wasnt too much to ask and they really helps us feel welcome. I cant thank them enough. Also the food was great!! Thanks again :)

After visiting some time ago we decided to have lunch here again, what a change, wish we hadn't!

I took my mum, dad and nan here yesterday for mothers day. My nan has always liked the food here. I rang a week before to book a table, spoke to a very friendly and helpful guy how took the booking, when we arrived we were taken to a table that had been set up with decorations and a few mothers day gifts, we also got table service, when I booked was only expecting to secure a table. was a lovely surprise to be greeted by all that, lovely meal and visit.

My wife and i often go into the Station for food or drink or both. It's a nice clean place. Nice decor tastefully done . The seats are comfortable and the tables a good size. The staff are polite , friendly and always helpful. They always greet you with a smile and nothing is too much trouble. I can't remember all their names but i will mention 3 that i can remember o , Karen ,and Emma. Apologies to the ones i've forgotten. The Station is spacious and not claustrophobic like some bars .The food is excellent and they have different food themed days every week. You can also get 2 meals for £7.99 which is great value. The menu is extensive and you sure to find something you like.The drinks are reasonable and there's plenty to choose from. The toilets are clean and smell fresh which is a big plus. All in all a great place to eat drink and watch telly. Ther also have quiz nights and regular D..nights. We will keep using the Station as it's our kind of place

The Station hosted our Christmas Party Lunch. They gave us our own area & decorated the tables beautifully. They put on a plentiful buffet for our group to enjoy, and even a little buffet exclusively for the children!

Staff are a bit variable. Emma is superb, Kim and the others can be a bit ascerbic which I find off putting (I am a customer, remember that). Food is not bad, indeed the full English breakfast is the best in Eastleigh, and the pot of tea while only tea bag based, is really quite nice.

I mean what's happened here? They had a great opportunity to shake the Litten Tree tag & start again with the Real Ale and good food theme.

Monday night football in the station. Very good priced food and drink. See if you can eat all the pie dish or the burger.

Nice pub in the middle of Eastleigh High Street. Extensive menu, with plenty of offers, ie. two meals for £7.99. Staff are welcoming and friendly, and there is some booths where you can sit around with four or so friends. Worth a visit.

No intentions of eating here. Toying with having a curry later. Had a couple of beers earlier and just ended up here. Noticed the advertisement pie and a pint £5.99.

Went for a meal today with the family. Ordered a soft drink and the glass they gave was filthy. So asked for another and it was dirty too! She went to get another and came back cleaning the glass with a towel. Got to the table and noticed it was dirty too. Ended up drinking from the bottle.

When it first opened everything was great but on our last visit the food wasn't so good. Sausages were burnt, chips looked like microwave chips and seemed like they'd been reheated. Really disappointed.

Can not believe that every person needs some kind of ID to get in to the station even though I'm 47 years old as after 9 pm you need this other wise your be moved on by a smarmy door boy thinking he's the bees knees with a smirk on his face, the only I'd I have is my passport and damd of I'm carrying that around with me in my own country to prove my age at 47, what a ridiculous system and hope they sort it as I'm not having some smarmy door boy demanding my ID,

If you are passing through Eastleigh then do stop at The Station pub it is well worth a visit. The food is well cooked, the seating areas clean, the prices are brilliant and best of all the staff are great. They are attentive, polite and are all happy and nothing is too much trouble. The Station Eastleigh you deserve a pat on the back.

Having avoided The Litten Tree due to poor reviews and the look of the place I ventured in here with my daughter during a shopping trip just to see if it had changed. What a difference!
