Good food 🍲 freshly cooked nice and tasty and very nice service also reasonably priced.

Friendly staff, service was quick. Wish they had more choice on 0% Alcoholic drinks tho . My partners steak was a little over done as wanted it blue but tasted good 👍

We enjoyed Webbe’s very much - had a lovely peaceful meal after a busy day, so can happily recommend. I had the Katsu fish, which was lovely, but felt the menu oversold the sauce, which was more of a salad dressing - I ate every scrap but wasn’t quite was I felt the menu described. My partner had hake with chorizo potatoes which she said was excellent. Service was great, atmosphere impeccable. Well worth a visit!

I watched the owner rage at two people for eating leftovers - disgraceful! His attitude was disgusting on many levels. Whatever happened to waste not want not?

Excellent place. Couldn't be happier. In a busy town, with a big crowd, they know how to run the business with customers being the centre of attention. I would give them not the 5 stars that are available. They deserve all the stars in the universe.

The best seafood restaurant in Hastings (and you can get a lot of good seafood in Hastings).

Really bad service by one of the waiters. We served and seated outside and as my friend went to the toilet, he was shouted at to stop and to go to the public toilets across the road. After having to explaining he was seated and ordered the, the same waiter only said that "I thought you were off the road" but didn't say a word of apology. Otherwise I'd recommend, but our day was made quite sour after a long trip from London to Hastings.

Great food and service. Seafood is very fresh

Food was ok but the service was terrible. I went to use the toilet but one of the waiters shouted at me to use the public restroom across the street. When he realize I was a paying customer, he barely offered an apology and said he thought I was “off the street”. I would recommend going elsewhere as you can get better food and service other places.

Went today (15th) for a birthday lunch, got there a few minutes early. The starters were very good the Salmon wrapped in Nori and the Prawn tempura but there was then a 40 minute wait between the starters being cleared away and the mains arriving. Despite the table next to us who were still having their starters when ours was cleared away getting their mains, including the Sea Bass the same main I had requested!!! The Sea Bass was enjoyable but the Haddock was very thin. After finishing the mains nobody approached us, so I ended up going to the till to pay the bill mentioning what had happened.

Lovely Food. We started with battered sprats. Hot, fresh and crispy. Then I had the steamed panache of fish, with a saffron sauce. The sauce was wonderful, silky smooth and well flavoured. there were mussels, a prawn, plaice, cod, haddock and one I didn't recognise = maybe monkfish. It wasn't crowded, we could talk to each other (no loud music) Service attentive. But trying to book online is a nightmare, we actually went in to book the table.

Lovely restaurant, we sat outside as the sun was shining. The service was excellent. The food was lovely and even the local cider was very nice.

Alistair (our star) managed to squeeze us in on a superbly busy Saturday night. His generosity set the tone of the evening to come. The food was faultless - with the help of Alistair’s guidance and we have absolutely no complaints from the evening. I would highly recommend this restaurant and wish anyone who attends the absolute pleasure of meeting Alistair.

Had a beautiful lunch in the sunshine today. The grilled hake with chorizo was super tasty and I thought good value for money for such a busy seafront location. My partner had the bass with pesto mash and was thoroughly pleased with his. 2 mains, a side, 2 beers and service came to roughly £50. Service was excellent, very friendly and prompt. We arrived at midday on a sunny weekday and had our pick of the outdoor tables. We will be back!

Absolutely lovely experience in here. The food was amazing, the staff were friendly and the atmosphere was really nice. Really good value for money, I was surprised. Definitely go here again if I go back to Hastings.

Delicious bites and delightful service from the Manager. We had a lovely evening meal to taste the Hastings seafood. We are not disappointed. We had the bites to start with amazing fragrant mussels with lemongrass, crispy squid, potted crab, beef salad and prawns with the best garlic aioli I’ve had in a while. Then we had fantastic scallops and beetroot salad. For mains we enjoyed the local lemon sole which was fresh and delicious. Very refreshing experience and we will be back

Superb Food, Great Service, Reasonable Price.

Mussels starter among the best I've ever eaten. Main course (panashe) was significantly over-cooked with the fish flopping from the skin and the texture gone redeemed, in part, by a reprise appearance of some mussels. I didn't trouble the sweet trolley, there being nothing of interest. Overall? Just about OK, but pricey OK.

Excellent again on our second year Christmas meal. Alistair and his team are outstanding. Looking after a bunch of blokes on a works night out is never and easy task but again they managed it. Great team, great food and a great laugh. Thanks again :)

Attended the restaurant after booking online at the last minute. My father had just passed away and we were at a loose end, hungry and feeling miserable. So pleased to have chosen here. Everyone were marvellous. We were the first in and had their undivided attention until other clients soon started to arrive. I had the fish chowder followed by a steak. Both were excellent. Great to watch the chefs preparing and cooking our meal in the open kitchen. We have to go back to the south coast for Dads funeral and I am going to try and get back in for another meal. Actually, any excuse to visit again will be used. Thank you to all the staff. You made a sad memorable day into one that I can reflect on with some good memories

Great meal and fab service even though we were there at 6pm we still had the full treatment. Food was delicious. 3 steaks on bed of mushrooms and spinach and a plate of fish and chips. All cooked to perfection.

I booked a table for two on Sunday 8th December a week before that date as it was for our wedding anniversary. I even phoned the restaurant a day before to make sure all was good. We arrived just before 7 pm to find the restaurant in the dark and closed ! I could not believe it , they didn’t even had the courtesy to contact me saving us traveling all the way to the restaurant some thirty minutes away. Disgraceful.

Really good restaurant, well worth the travelling to get there. We had prawn tempura and goats cheese starters, both were very tasty and a good portion size. For mains we had Panache and fish stew, both again excellent, especially the fish stew which can be hit and miss in some restaurants, but not here.

The seafood selection is fresh and gorgeous. The staff are friendly, accommodating and lovely. The locally brewed beer is also very nice. A thoroughly enjoyable meal with lovely beer and lovely staff. I totally recommend a visit here if you are in old town Hastings.

Lovely location and nice interior. The food was delicious fresh and tasty well done chefs. However the service was minimal only two other tables when we were dining.our waitress took our order and we didn't see her again until I asked for the bill ? No one asked us if our food was OK or if we wanted more drinks etc. Staff on their mobiles! such a shame.

Really pleasant restaurant. The fish and chips was a very hearty feed and super fresh, kudos on the olives too they were really good! The waiter was super helpful and friendly which made a massive difference too, my only point would be that the batter was slightly plain, a bit more flavour would really have made this meal complete

The outside appearance of the restaurant is a little odd but don’t be put off. We received a warm welcome, at my request they fixed me an outstanding Vodka Martini, the food was sublime, the fish beautifully cooked and the wine excellent. I even opted for a dessert which I normally wouldn’t do. I would thoroughly recommend.

First time and unfortunately the last. The food was average and to be honest we'd had better fish in most the pubs in Hastings . Whilst there 2 other people complained about rudeness of I think one of the staff that really made the whole atmosphere bad. We wanted to try this restaurant as we'd heard a while ago it was very good but maybe that was a while ago. Even little things like it was meant to be a fish restaurant and we didn't even get fish knives. This didn't matter to me we are not that bothered but really bad for what's meant to be a top restaurant.

Visited recently as a couple-asked to move to a more comfortable table as there were a few empty tables set for two. Was told that we couldn't as they were booked. They were still available when we left. Didn't feel welcome the whole time. Service was poor.

Perfect experience! The service is so perfect. French fries are much better than London, and grilled sea bass is more appetising than fish and chips.

Friday Fish and Chips is definitely a no here. Chips were like cardboard and the fish so wet it made the batter soggy. Drinks expensive too.

Amazing dinner at Webbes this weekend. Group of 7 ladies and we each ordered something different, but all commented how tasty and fresh the food was. I had the Panache of seafood which was simply delicious and cooked to perfection. The service was outstanding with the two young lads professional and with great attention. Food was served quickly and drinks were flowing. The manager also took time to talk to us and find out where we were from. Only small comment was being by the door felt a little chilly (despite a screen) - suggest maybe some double glazing if possible? Will 100% recommend this great restaurant.

Fresh seafood, great staff, relaxing atmosphere. Everything you want in a restaurant and nothing you do not. We found the people who work here to be the nicest and most sincere of any place we have been. The food is delicious, fresh and beautifully served. A must I you are in Hastings.

Wonderful food and service. The seafood is so fresh and full of flavor. We ate there one night and asked if the could make a Manhattan - gave them the idea and they not only did it but made it very well. Loved the place so much we came back the next night, and the served us "the usual" - great sense of humor.

Good meal, I’d personally like the Hastings Fish Stew to have more in the way of actual fish in it. One prawn and two small pieces of white fish along with some Mussels isn’t enough for that price point in my opinion. The mixed smoked fish sharing board was very nice.

First visit with my elderly cousin, staff extremely friendly helpful and nothing was too much trouble, food was delicious and excellent value will definitely go again, without the cousin.

Great find. Visited on recommendation. As a fish/seafood lover, the choice was excellent. Went with the seafood linguine, which was gorgeous. You can just tell the fish is just so fresh, and there was plenty of it. All your favourites for the dessert selection. It was very busy for a Thursday evening, which says something. Friendly and quick service.

Had a big family celebration here at the weekend. Éverything was great. We pre chose as there were alot of us and each course came out at the same time so we were all enjoying our meal together despite the many different choices. The food was excellent and the service was super friendly. Very reasonably priced too. Would definitely recommended

It's definitely worth a visit. Update: Came back a few years later for a birthday lunch. Seafood Panache again for me, seafood linguine for her! Reasonably priced, high quality! Visited on Sunday (I’ve been many times before). The food was excellent but unfortunately the waiter was very impolite. Which overall made it a bad experience.

We saved visiting this one for a special occasion. So my husband's birthday was today and we booked easily. The linguine was good apart from overcooked, tough, squid that tasted like white rubber bands! My husband asked the waitress what cajun spice tasted like and she didn't know but said she'd ask the chef but he didn't know. So we googled it and showed her a beautiful, illustrative explanation. These Cajon chips were almost inedible as they were so salty. Sad. We had such high expectations. Won't be back

The food was delicious, except for the leg of lamb, the service was very good. The food was very quickly served, as I thought the main dish would take some time especially the leg of lamb, next time will ask the main to be served after we finish our starter.

This is a must visit for any seafood lover. Myself and my wife had oysters and five of the taster dishes as a starter and they were all superb. For main we had the steamed fish panache and the Hake. Having visited Rick Stein’s a few months before I can honestly say Webbe’s is better hands down for service atmosphere and pricing. Will be back again if ever in the area

Sorry I didn’t get an outside picture. Rock-a-nore street in Hastings is where the fishing fleet is drawn up onto the beach. It is the UK’s largest beach based fishing fleet, and on the road, the expected collection of purveyors of fish. This restaurant appears at the higher end of the market, though prices remain competitive across the board. They were doing Lobster on the special menu and it looked to be exceptionally good value. I had Lemon Sole but most of my companions had the obligatory Cod and chips. The Lemon Sole was delightfully delicate. The maitre d was also a kindly person and very good humoured Nice atmosphere and recommended for a fishy experience

Visited Weɓbes for my wife's birthday, the meal was delicious, the drinks were lovely, and the service was 10/10, we will definitely be coming back, and I would thoroughly recommend Webbes as a superb restaurant 👍🏻

A brilliant afternoon. Webbes Rockanore catered for 8 of us. We all chose starters and mains. A mix of seafood, tempura and smoked fish starters followed by lamb shanks, steak and seafood mains. Absolutely gorgeous. All plates fresh, plentiful, tasty and delicious. I’d easily recommend this as a destination for families, solos and couples. The service is friendly, efficient and food quality high. A brilliant afternoon sipping wine in the sunshine. Highly recommend.

Just managed to reserve a table in this wonderful restaurant. This is the place to be for fish dishes. We sat near the kitchen and enjoyed the smells and activities. Very tasty starters and bites to share. Top level cuisine, fairly limited menu with sufficient choice. Everything super fresh - fish market opposite. No stress and pressure once you sit at the table. Everyone can enjoy it in peace! Top staff with a lot of attention. Price-quality very above standard, including the wines. Do not hesitate.

Everything we ate there was delicious! Service top! It is advisable to make a reservation by phone as the restaurant is often fully booked.

Quite racist place, we were 4 Asian girls waiting to be served for like 25 mins ( but there are white people coming after us and get served way earlier than us) we have to call them several times and they insinuated like we can’t understand English. We requested an indoor table (where there is more than 3) initially rejected and said we have to come back around 5 hours later to be seated inside (but there are lots of people sitting inside) after we sit outside for like 15 mins they finally moved us inside.

Certainly the first address in the area. Very well maintained, good service and the food was all very good

Another great lunch at Webbe’s in Hastings. Really friendly and welcoming staff with a smile and easy going but efficient approach. The menu is varied -something for everyone-the fish is always so fresh and is served up piping hot !! Wine list is small but reasonably priced. We went yesterday for lunch one of the busiest days of the year in Hastings as it was Pirate Day The quality of the food and the brilliant service was not compromised one bit !! One of my favourite restaurants on the South coast .

It has been a while since I last had lobster but I do not recall it being tough and chewy. So I checked on Google today and it said if the lobster is overcooked it will be tough and chewy. Not good for a place that offers cooking lessons. I won't be eating there again any time soon. If you go there avoid the lobster.

Really enjoyed our food, lovely and fresh. We had an all seafood meal but they do serve other dishes. We had 3 corses and oysters and thought the bill very reasonable.The young gentleman who served us was attentive and chatty when spoken to. Would not hesitate to recommend.

Webbe’s Rock-a-Nore is one of the best restaurants I've dined at in England. The freshness of the fish and the quality of service are exceptional. Despite being a two-hour drive from London, it's worth the trip just to eat there. Be sure to make a reservation before you go..

Sat outside under the shelter near front windows of restaurant due to a) having our small dog with us and b) the perishing seagulls dive bombing on the terrace of restaurant next door. The waitress that greeted us and took our order was very pleasant. The chap that delivered our fish and chips was very jovial and friendly too. I have to say that the food was utterly scrumptious and service excellent. We are on holiday in East Sussex and highly recommend this restaurant.

Ate here last week. The size of the fish portion was so small we were really surprised and the chips were not crisp. A very disappointing meal .

We loved our dinner at Webb's so much that we returned the next night. First night we both had sole and the next night we had delicious hake with potatoes and chorizo. The cod croquettes were wonderful. The staff welcomed us like old friends. Wonderful restaurant!

Absolutely amazing. We order different dishes so we can share and try different recipes... Every one of them surprisingly good, rich on flavours, but aways gentle, avoiding the mistake to overkill the fish whit herbs and souces. Everiting was very well balanced either in the taste and the texture: sweet and sower, spicy and fruity, soft and cruncy.... The service was impeccable, and the bill reasonable

Great lunch for my wife`s birthday wonderful bread and olives to start and then five taster dishes and then we had four starters. Mine was tempura prawns with a chili dip my wife had mussels and the others had a Chowder, as a main I had a steak to die for and my wife had a lamb shank, excellent bottle of wine lovely ice cream dessert, great day out. We highly recommend a visit. Adrian and Annabelle the Hurst Arms in Eastbourne.

Ambience and service were good, seafood linguine was excellent and the fresh oysters were excellent. We personally felt that the other dishes lacked a bit of pizzazz. That's a matter of taste, of course, but overall it was good.

Was introduced to this restaurant in 2019 and Saturday was our annual visit as it's 74 miles from where we live! Was disappointed with our starter (cod croquette) not as good as I remembered but the grilled hake with chorizo potatoes was divine, and so was was the seafood linguine absolutely delicious! Has a great atmosphere and service is excellent. See you next year

Came here on Friday with my partner and young baby. The waitress was extremely rude, she rolled her eyes when I asked for a high chair, as well as the kids menu as our baby had started weaning so wanted to check if there was anything suitable. I also asked for a bowl of hot water to heat up our baby food, to which she answered WHAT? As if i was speaking a foreign language. The service was slow, if you're going to work in the service industry maybe teach your young waitresses how to crack a smile or make customers feel welcome. Not only that but I have severe food poisoning from the Oyster starter I had. Would not return again. The staff really let the restaurant down as well as the food poisoning. I've never been so ill in my life.

Apparently the kitchen is closed before 5:30 pm which completely makes sense as the staff need a break BUT the interesting bit is they pick and choose who is allowed to sit and have a meal despite the staff needing their break. Found it hilarious that the elder gentleman at the till doing the paperwork could barely explain the situation while telling me that i could not be served but sitting another couple down and taking their order (we both were walk-in at the same time) if there are rules then they should be applied to everyone but it gets funny and stupid when you pick and choose who gets to break the rules. Rant over. Just get rid of the stupid rule you can't keep and teach your staff some manners :) defo will not be going back here.

Horrible and racist experience - the staff completely ignored us and kept walking pass pretending we weren’t waiting to be seated. When we finally asked, they told us they weren’t serving by one and it was booking only by another whilst other ‘local’ couples were being seated as “walk-in” (we were chatting with them whilst waiting) and were being served. The old male guy inside was very aggressive and the younger one was dismissive. I would not recommend it to anyone - the racist people don’t deserve any form of star or reviews.

Third time at Webbes, food is very good so reason for visit. Front of house staff need a complete change or change of attitude and need to be a bit more on the ball with clearing plates and taking orders, a bit more politeness would go a long way. Guy who seems to be in charge should be a bit more professional and not appear to try to be funny or over familiar. Experience let down by a 'what ever' attitude
