Azur in Hastings

The atmosphere outside is nice. The selection of beers is terrible and extremely expensive for what they are. The ambience is horrendous inside. Such a shame!!! this venue could be spectacular

I have never eaten here, I use the facility for yoga, Qigung, and sound baths

Had a brilliant evening for our work Christmas party, staff were lovely. A special shout out to Kiran who made an excellent cocktail. Loved the cocktail specials

Attended an event to celebrate the life of a dear friend. Both from the perspective of the set up process and attending the event I have nothing but the highest regard for the entire team. They are great communicators, very professional, kind and accommodating. The event went smoothly with the whole team attentive and on hand. Hats off to AJ and his extensive and tasty vegan food selection. I am not vegan but everything was extremely tasty and they are very happy to offer options for pretty much all dietary requirements. Would not hesitate to recommend. Many thanks.

We ate in Teddy’s We were the first in there at Lunchtime Food was awful Me and my Wife both had food poisoning after - called and left a message about it - never got a call back - never again !!

Called to book a table and the young lady who answered phone said ‘ello’ that probably should have been the first alarm bell. Arrived and was greeted by a very nice guy called Jayden who greeted us by name as we walked through the door, restaurant was empty apart from one table of 8 and another table with two people sat drinking cocktails. Jayden, very attentively came to the table to ask if we would like to order drinks and we ordered a couple of cocktails. 5 minutes later Jayden again asked if we was ready to order and we suggested that we would like to order the 35oz Tommerhawk to share, Jayden turned and spoke to the two people sat drinking cocktails and it then became apparent that one of those drinking cocktails was the CHEF and the other the BARMAID. The CHEF told Jayden that he couldn’t do the steak so we looked at an alternative option, we suggested that we would like the meat platter, again Jayden turns to his CHEF to ask however the CHEF declines again. At this point I’d had enough so I said don’t worry about it we will finish our drinks and we will go and eat elsewhere. The CHEF gets up and makes his way to the kitchen, Jayden could not apologise enough and you could see that he wanted the ground to open up and swallow him whole. He apologised several times and clearly felt very embarrassed. Jayden then goes to the kitchen and speaks to the CHEF again and comes out to say that the CHEF has decided that he can do a meat platter now and that it would be discounted from £33 to £25 for the inconvenience 🙄 We politely declined and said no thank you we have already booked a table for elsewhere. As we finished our drinks Jayden came over one last time to shake my hand and apologise for the awful experience that we had received. I sincerely hope the owner of AZUR read this as they have a VERY GOOD front of house in Jayden who deserves the support of the staff around him, however they also have a CHEF that needs a serious talking too or needs to find an alternative career. SHOCKING.

Had a lovely coffee sat outside on the balcony facing the sea. The member of staff we dealt with was friendly and helpful. Would recommend.

They should win a prize for the most unfriendly, messy and disorganised bar venue in Hastins St. Leonards. The staff is so uninterested that they will turn you away even if the closing time is 45 minutes away.

Unfortunately they open at 10am which is much too late for many people to have breakfast..... But then they stop serving breakfast at midday... which is utterly ridiculous and stupidly unbelievable. Since the Internet came along & night club licenses moved from 3am to 7am in1992 we have lived in a 24h/7d world where people work all night online at home or all night in nightclubs and the concept of living and working around a 9am-5pm existence vanished and therefore is no longer valid or enforceable especially by a small town chef who is actually so far up his own A** that he actually turns paying customers away, from a business that look as if its not doing particularly well at the best of times.... PEOPLE EAT BREAKFAST WHEN THEY WAKE UP.... Not when a lazy chef decides its time to serve lunch and people must stop eating breakfast because he can't be bothered to cook it, even when the restaurant is completely empty and nobody has ordered food... Which is unbelievable and beyond pathetic by anyones standards anywhere... I can get an English breakfast in London Bangkok Chang Mai Jerusalem or Goa 24/7 but not in Hastings.... let's face it there's nothing else on the menu at AZUR worth having, even if it were free.

Just visiting, popped in for a drink. Sat outside and enjoyed the sea view. Staff really friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

The young lady who served me was very friendly and efficient. The beer battered cod was perfect. I'd definitely recommend this place and will certainly be going back 👍🏻

To say that I am amazed is nothing to say, in the country where I come from they make such terrible scandals when they find hair in the food. First of all, the tables were dirty, the menu was dirty, they even brought us dishes that we hadn't ordered, and what we had ordered, I had to go and sort out my drinks myself. When I wanted to talk to the manager or the head of this restaurant, while he was there, but the waiter came out to us, we found about 10-20 hairs in each portion, officiant told that we are strange and either it was not from our dog, or we ourselves put the hair in the food....... No discounts, nothing, even when they brought the bill, they wanted to charge us more, and initially they said that they would give us a discount but didn’t give us nothing, the result is that it was better to go to bapa for a nice price and service

Today I attended the Albany Taxi Run, at Azur and as in previous years, David and his team were awesome, food was great service was superb and the atmosphere was amazing. Thank you to all of the staff and believe they are a credit to the establishment. Thank you for your support.

Food for the party attended was a (catered) BBQ, it was well cooked and edible. I have no idea if food is available in the pavilion, the restaurant upstairs certainly has food.

This is a beach cafe in a sunny spot but a female friend of ours was told not to sit with a bikini top on. This is happening in the UK in a holiday town like Hastings, not in Middle East. What a shame! And the toilets are disgusting.

Cocoa and coffee are tasteless. Tables are poorly cleaned.

Went new years night as we had been twice before. Lovely welcome, food was good, but perhaps not quite as good as previous years. Entertainment was good, but a bit one-dimensional, hence the 4 star ratings, not any music played that was later than the 1980s. Enjoyable, but not fabulous.

We had a table of 7 for the New Years Eve event which cost £80 per head. The food was fantastic but that was it! The entertainment was all wrong! They had a girl singing for a while which for New Years Eve just wasn't the right choice of music so much so people were leaving. The whole nights choice of music was very dissapointing. Our table left at 11pm we didn't stay for the firrworks , I've since been told they were also a ddissapoitment. Overall the food was fabulous entertainment very dissapointing.

Wow came here for Christmas dinner and it’s the best Christmas dinner I have ever had!!! Food was amazing and the stuff was fantastic will be coming back again for sure!

What an amazing Christmas lunch. With some truly wonderful staff that could not be more attentive from the manager to the chefs and especially Babs who looked after us. Thank you for making it such a special day. David and Louise.

Went to a work party - the food was good & the staff friendly & helpful

We have been visiting here for years for our annual Mx presentation and apart from the fact you wee icicles as the toilets are so cold we normally have an excellent night and the food is very good. Last night sadly the food was awful the meat was poor, roast potatoes were not cooked or crispy, soggy Yorkshire pudding and overcooked pigs in blankets. I also didn't like the way the security team were getting in people's faces and were really obnoxious and rude about under age drinking it was being handled very badly, especially when our 15 year old was offered a Budweiser as we entered the venue by a member of their own staff!

This was a surprise family event with 12 out of 14 guests pre ordered food with the remaining 2 guests having to choose on arrival. Unfortunately the starters were coming out before everyone was even seated and the 2 guests haven't even ordered yet. We were the only people in the restaurant, service felt hurried. Portion size is bigger than expected, won't go hungry. A bit of confusion at the end with food on the bill we haven't ordered but this was removed which was good. Overall OK experience.

very disappointed. was looking fwd to their dish of mussles. Mussles were good sauce was awful, thin lacking in garlic and the taste expected.Will be a long time before I go there again. Having complained to waitress I would have expected a member of the managing or even the chef as it was not busy to talk to me. Also ordered a glass of sauvignon blanc and at £6.00 per glass was the worst wine on a price per glass basis EVER !!!!

The food portion is huge and tasty! The staffs are all nice. Unfortunately we have a toddler, can't really relax and chill too long in this restaurant, otherwise, this is a good place to have drinks with friends and enjoy the sea view.

Great place on the seafront. Excellent food and brilliant service from Jess, Chiko and the team. We will definitely be back. Recommend the seafood cocktail starter. They do fantastic cocktails also.

A great venue for all sorts of party's an celebrations, a sophisticated bar with fantastic sea view perfect for weddings, a great space down bellow for less sophisticated party's (classically smells a bit like sewage) which opens straight onto the beach.. many truly great events already have and will be held there.. good venue.

Great location, very friendly staff. Shout out to Zoe who served us last time we were there. Very nicely cooked eggs Benedict. Definitely recommend for coffee or early evening drink, especially when the weather's good enough to use the terrace.

Sadly, my Mother passed away and she live locally to the AZUR in fact she overlooked it, so we thought it would be a fitting place to hold a Celebration of her life here and we were so pleased that we did. From my initial contact, they were so considerate and helpful in dealing with all my requests. All the staff were excellent and I cannot express how much the team there, made the day be as less daunting as I had expected it to be. Well done to you all and thanks once again, especially to Olivia who coordinated this for us.

What an amazing location ! A simple but good menu. I had the homemade cheeseburger which was lovely. Served by Babs who could not have been more helpful. Dog friendly, huge amounts of space, huge windows facing the sea and a terrace right on the sea. Last time I was there I had a coffee watching a seal swimming in the sea below !

Cute place with the best view along the beach. Perfect for a sunny day pint. It’s a classic British seaside type joint. Babs and jess were super helpful and welcoming.

Only had coffee ,but serving a lovely carvery on a Sunday and band in the afternoon.

Went for new year's eve, great experience, lovely music and great fireworks display. Good price for the package.

We sat on the terrace with a glass of beer and watched the tide go out and the sun go down. Lovely 😍. The lady at the bar was lovely - she brought our beers out to us and she was very friendly. I'd definitely recommend it. Oh, and the clouds were amazing.

Beautiful spot to watch the sunset. Our server, Babs, was AMAZING! Catered to my gluten free needs, and also brought my young children's meals out quickly, so we were able to eat in peace and enjoy the view.

Great position overlooking the seafront. Prices were OK and coffees OK. We had toast and usually at other places a round of toast is 2 slices, we only got one. The marmalade had 1 carton already half used. We then had to ask for knives

A beautiful place near the sea with very friendly waitresses, as soon as you asked for something, they came within seconds to collect the bill as if you were going to leave without paying ... there were almost no people or need to do that ... a little overwhelming and uncomfortable.

Recently had my wedding at the Azur and all I can say it was AMAZING! All the staff were so so professional and soo helpful. Everything my wife and I asked for, they put in place and went far beyond our expectations. The rooms fittings were just next to nothing and it made our day soo emotional. My wife and I can highly recommend the Azur for weddings and other events as they WILL go far and beyond your expectations. Honestly couldn't thank Dean, Olivia, Jamie & the rest of the staff for everything they done to make our wedding day as perfect as they did, we will definitely be back for food & drinks soon! Thank you all again so much we really do appreciate it Mr &Mrs Moore 🥰

Attended my nieces wedding at the Azur, well what can I say that does justice to the hard work and dedication the staff put into the day for her. Nothing was too much trouble and the staff went the extra mile to make it so special for the happy couple and their guests. So if you want that personal touch on your special day, the staff are brilliant. As a family we would like to say Thank You for all their hard work.

Dropped in for a coffee on the balcony with the dogs after a warm sea front stroll. Made very welcome by the staff and thoroughly appreciated the view and the service. Excellent experience.
