Well........the Wayford bridge cheese burger is to die for! Very tasty and becoming a firm favourite. Thank you Wayford Bridge for the banter 😆 and good food. We've being coming here for 7 years now its a firm local favourite 🍔🍔🙂

Went for lunch, food good, paid the bill , upon leaving a staff member shouted did you pay your bill, my wife and I said we had the staff .member said, wait there while I check A classic case of no communication and left between feeling angry and humiliated

Well Karen and the team out done themselves again for my family Christmas meal 🎅. It was absolutely lovely. We all enjoyed it first class service as always! Thank you so much.🥰

I was stopping here for the night and there’s no where else nearby so I tried out the restaurant. It was a nice meal. Staff were very chatty and I had the creamy garlic mushrooms followed by the steak pie, or steak pudding as they tend to call it around here. Generous portions and had to go for a lie down after.

Absolutely superb! We were greeted in such a professional and welcoming manner by nick”long beard” His manner was warm, friendly and very personable. Our room was ready early and we have stayed before and got the same room which had a lovely bay window. We had wine in the afternoon and cosied into one of the lovely lounge areas whilst nick kept a close eye on our drinks. We had dinner in the evening which was lovely and relaxing. Steak pudding and ham and spinach lasagne, both excellent, again, great service from nick long beard.Rooms are excellent, large and comfy beds. Breakfast was great too. Def recommend and will return👍 Thanks Nick, you made our stay more pleasant.

3rd visit this time chose the new garden room as thet have king size beds. all very nice .the only downside is when it raining getting to the resturant and bar .a covered walkway is needed as a brolly is no good when it blows a gale.also the lights back to the rooms on the paths and car park go out.evening meals good /breakfast so so/staff excellent

A nice , clean, well kept restaurant. (With the exception of the self dimming lights ) The greeting was pleasant. We had a mixture of waiting staff from attentive to doesn’t want to be there. Chose liver and bacon which wasn’t badly cooked but was decidedly average (slightly overdone). My wife had lasagne in its own dish which came with garlic bread , chips (in a little frying basket my pet hate ) and salad. Again decidedly average. I think my problem is the setting and decor promised more than just fair pub grub.

Myself and my partner were staying in Edingthorpe for a few days and searched for somewhere to eat out locally. Discovered the Watford Bridge Inn which was just under 5 miles away As soon as we arrived we were impressed with the size of the place. Once inside we continued to be impressed This restaurant has such a lovely relaxed vibe, laid out with enough space between tables to be able to have a meal without overhearing other conversations, the menu was very varied and covered tastes for everyone (never seen such a variety on the dessert menu either). Our wonderful young waiter was very helpful and attentive and clearly cared about giving the best service (which is rare to see these days). Our meal arrived pretty quickly and tasted absolutely amazing. I had baby rack of ribs and my partner had turkey and ham pie which we both thought was outstanding. I was so delighted to have a throwback to the 70s for dessert with Black Forest Gateaux - one of my all time favourites which I’ve never seen on a menu these days All in all I can categorically say this was the best meal we’ve ever had for all the above reasons - so much so we rebooked whilst we were there for two nights later

Friendly and helpful staff good beer and the best steak pie I have ever Eaton. Fairly priced. Will be going back and will recommend to any one.

Stayed here for one night as we were visiting the area to pick up a puppy. We found the room ( we had a garden room outside the main building) to be lovely, clean and modern. Check in was quick and easy and directed to our room with no issue. Plenty of parking and it is set on a lovely site next to the river. We did eat here and found the food to be amazing with huge portions. I had Brie for starter and the wife had olives and bread. Unfortunately they had sold out of the beef stroganoff that evening so I opted for the fillet steak (rare) which was done to perfection and so large I could not finish it, never mind the chips, veg and onion rings that accompanied it. We were able to bill our dinner back to the room and just pay upon check out. Breakfast was also delicious and with good portions and although you didn’t help yourself to juice, cereal or toast, the staff were happy to oblige if you wanted more. There was plenty of choice on the “cooked” menu. All in all, if we were back in the area, we would stay again and recommend to friends. Found out it is also dog friendly!

Stopped off, on way back from the coast for lunch. Observed crazy waiter (with crown tattoo on his hand) upset the customers and us. He grabbed a lady’s glass of wine that she hadn’t finished. He puts his hands at the top of glasses when serving. Gross! He was verbally abusive to us when we changed tables. If he is new to the role, he will learn how to deal with customers. If he is experienced he needs a new job. He is bizarre! Food was ok. Alleya and older lady (presume manager) was friendly but he annoyed us, so we won’t return. His manner is rude, offensive and arrogant!

We have just had a brilliant four day stay at this great hotel. The hotel itself was very clean, tidy and welcoming. The staff were very helpful and attentive with a smile. The food was excellent with a wide selection on the menu. In fact we enjoyed our stay so much we have all ready booked for a longer stay next year. Rowland Whiskin and Bridget Dack-Daniels

Haven’t been here in the evening but certainly very busy at lunchtime Very pleasant clean interior.

More interested in someone hanging themself on the umberella string rather than the fact a paying guest had sat in chewing gum in their shorts whilst being there. Told a member of staff but was shrugged off.

We stayed for a few days at this Inn. Friendly welcome, lovely guest lounge. We were staying in a twin room near the front of the hotel. Room was spacious and clean - only downside being the very busy road at the front. We also had our evening meals here. The Inn had a large and varied menu which included plenty of options for vegetarians. The food was very good and a reasonable cost. Breakfast on the other hand was a little limited and rather average. It also seemed a little strange that we couldn't help ourselves to juice or cereal - although this probably stemmed from covid restrictions. The staff were all pleasant and helpful although quite a few of the waiting staff appeared to be very new to the job. The Inn is in a convenient location for the attractions of the Broads and if we were staying in the area would certainly consider coming back to the Inn for meals.

Excellent service, attentive staff, whole family welcomed and catered for in exemplary fashion. Steak to die for, cooked exactly as specified, blue, almost still mooing（╹◡╹） Children ate everything! Unusual, as normally they leave something, but they enjoyed their meals so much, almost licked the plates clean? Would recommend this restaurant again（╹◡╹）

Visited here last night with my partner, lovely looking place and surroundings but, sadly the food was not so good. The staff were very friendly and efficient but the beef stew with dumplings was terrible. The dumplings were extremely hard and there was only two very small pieces of beef on the plate.We had intended going back today but found somewhere nearby which was 100% better. What a shame!

My wife and I booked a table for 2 as we were moored on the river very good covid measures in place all staff were wearing visors hand sanitizers at the entrance and a separate exit you have to wear a face mask until you are seated. We managed to reserve a table on the recent bank holiday to make sure we could have a meal at this great location. Excellent meal and service. The steak pie and beef lasagne were particularly enjoyed.

Efficiently seated felt safe, a lady was sat at the wrong place at her table and she was politely asked to move and she was told why. The food was excellent, couldn't fault a thing. The staff were very thorough about my partners allergy.

My parents were staying at the hotel and we came over for dinner. Poor quality food and the service was pretty poor as well. The lounge area was quite pleasant, my parents said the bed was comfy and that was about it.

My partner and I had the quiche from the lunchtime and afternoon menu. It was great!We are moored on a boat nearby so returned for the full English breakfast this morning. Was very good although a tad pricey at £10 for this type of establishment.My mine gripe is with the toilets and hence cleanliness which in these COVID times is of paramount importance. I reported twice yesterday evening that the soap had run out - around 18:30 and 21:00. It had still not been replaced this morning...... in their defence there is sanitiser next to the soap but both should be present.... I was told it would be replaced shortly but then I was told that last night as well. If you’re a guest not a problem. Visitors like us, more so .....

Stayed here for a night this weekend and was pleasantly impressed. Don’t Normally stay in Stalham but had our dog with us and needed a pet room. Was really unsure about booking a pet friendly room but need not have worried as the room we had ( no 16) was large with a seating area, dressing table , and kingsize bed, with laminated floor and was immaculate with Snow White bed linen and towels. Shower was huge and powerful, with nice toiletries supplied and a kettle and complimentary tea/coffee supplies. Iron and ironing board was also supplied. Access to the grounds was directly from the room so ideal for my pooch! DID NOT SMELL OF DOGS which was my real worry. I’ve stayed in less impressive 4 star non pet!! All the staff were so lovely, friendly and welcoming and the manager Karen was a real star! Breakfast was good , I had eggs benedict and my husband the full English and it came with tea/ coffee and orange juice. The hotels lovely and large, spotlessly clean and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. We had some wine by the fire in the snug in the evening after walking by the river and it was very idyllic.

We have visited the Wayford Bridge Inn quite a few times over the years, but on this occasion the service was so slow we nearly got up and walked out, but regretfully we stayed and placed our order for drinks and our main course, the drinks arrived fairly quickly but our mains took ages to arrive, my wife had the V Lasagne which she described as baby food in pasta. she said it was the worst Lasagne she had tasted. I had the Turkey and Bacon Pie, I didn't eat any of the pastry only the filling, My wife ordered the Eaton Mess for dessert but again she waited nearly half an hour for it to arrive.

Lovely setting, wonderful food, very polite and attentive staff. Nothing too much trouble. Pet friendly too! Can’t fault the place tbh.

Stayed here a few times now and have always had a pleasant experience with this place and the friendly staff. This time we stayed in the newly built garden rooms, and these rooms have certainly enhanced our stay. Will definitely be returning.

Love the place. Traditional pub..lots of boaters use it so get in early. Not the best place to moor if you don't like a lot of other people around but a great place to grab a beer and food

Such a warm welcome for the end of my birthday weekend. We decided to book to eat out instead of cooking. We all opted for the carvery and on offer was turkey beef or lamb The service and food was really good and hearing in mind I only live a short distance away this was my first visit. We decided around lunchtime to stay in Norfolk overnight and looked at pubs we knew with B&B. The Wayford Bridge had a classic double room for £55 or £87 for half board. As we planned to eat there the half board was great value.The room was in one of the two new blocks built next to the main building. It was quite simple but more than adequate. Lovely duvet on the bed, spare pillows in the cupboard, a coffee table with 2 small chairs plus a dressing table with stool. Plenty of electrical sockets and a total of 4 mirrors.The bathroom was huge with a great walk in shower cubicle with Mira shower. Pump toiletries provided.Downside - only 1 hand towel, 2 bath towels but the quality didn't match the room. They were old and quite hard. The kettle was very small, we only got 1 pack of biscuits and 3 small milk pots. One of those was off and came out in a lump. Yuck.Dinner offer was 2 courses, so main and dessert naturally. I had liver and bacon which was lovely. Husband had beef stew and dumpling - as fantastic as it was last year. Shame it's only a special not standard item. I had Eton mess, which comes in a wine glass and is a bit hard to get to. Husband had lemon tart with ice cream. Both tasty. Beer was good too.We often visit for food and drink but have never stayed. Will definitely stay again, but maybe take my own towels!
