We had dinner here in Feb 24, the food was excellent and well priced. We were made to feel very welcome and I would highly recommend this place, we would definitely return next time we are on the boat.

Friendly staff, great location, good food but very very slow service and prices a bit too high…£21 for two slices of roast beef, admittedly very good. Service is the main problem we have experienced on one or two recent visits.

I can’t rate the food we had highly enough. We had the valentines set menu and each dish was amazing and cooked to perfection. The lamb main was gorgeous. We will be returning soon, can’t wait to try the other things on the menu! We’ve been raving about this lovely hidden gem to everyone!

This is a very formal restaurant inside. Staff are not initially very welcoming and don't really look clean and tidy except for the bar staff. It's not really somewhere to go after a muddy walk for a chilled drink and snack. The food was good but maybe a little expensive at £69 for 2 main courses, one starter and one side of chips, two coffees and a coke.

One of the best Sunday roasts! Lovely waitresses, very polite and helpful. Dessert was delicious and looked great!

Fantastic food, service and atmosphere. We ordered sea bass, roast beef dinner and butler steak. It was the best steak I've ever had, tender and so tasty.

We moored here during our week on The Southern Broads and were treated very well from the beginning. Cookie "local resident and character" helped us moor up and we had a meal in one of the outside wooden pods that night ( which was perfect as we had two small dogs and it was raining ) The food was fantastic one of the best steaks I've ever had. Locally sourced ingredients and a good choice. Loved the Lobster / Crab menu also! We carried on but decided to return at the end of the week as it was my birthday - again moored up during the day and had lunch ( booked an evening meal for the next night - why wouldn't you?! ) Lovely seating area out front but we had drinks brought over to our boat. Wonderful. We stayed moored but there is also plenty of mooring a very short walk away on a nice grassy stretch if you can't get moored at the pub. The owner and restaurant team went above and beyond on my birthday night with reserved outdoor pod, candle/burner lit even water and bikkies for the dogs and everyone welcomed me as I came round the corner. Made me feel very special. The menu choice and food is fabulous and the whole team were very hospitable and helpful. We would highly recommend - can't wait to return. Thank you for a lovely memory! Moored our boat here overnight and booked in for dinner-we certainly weren't disappointed. Lovely restaurant and a beautifully set window table with river views. The staff were very friendly and helpful and added to the relaxed atmosphere. Lots of choice on the menu and an extensive wine list. My husband had the burger, which was excellent, and I chose sirloin steak-the best I've had in a very long time. Altogether a totally enjoyable experience. We're back in the area in a couple of weeks and we'll definitely be revisiting Water's Edge.

We went to this place twice 2 years ago whilst on the Broads and it was good. So good we went again this year, again whilst on the Broads. I really wish we hadn’t bothered. The food isn’t that good but very pricey indeed. The landlord/owner doesn’t know how to smile, awful attitude and demeanour. Ordered a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc at £27 and it tasted very, very average. Looked it up online and the RRP was £9.15. That’s a 300% mark up! Greed and more greed! All the owner is after is your money and it doesn’t matter how he gets it. Save yourself the money and go to the Ferry House at Surlingham. Waterside setting, great home cooked food and plenty of it and at very, very reasonable prices. The staff are excellent

We walked to this pretty riverside Pub for a meal with family, on a busy Weds summer (raining ha ha) evening. There are loads of outside tables and the inside restaurant is nicely decorated, but the wooded floors make it very noisy. Tables are not crammed together which is good. The menu has some nice sounding food, lots of choice. I opted for mushroom gnocchi. When it arrived it was piping hot, well presented on the plate and tasted lovely. Everyone on our table reported their meals tasty too. This could be a smashing high 4 star eatery, BUT, it is totally let down by the fact the kitchen does not have the capacity to service the restaurant. We waited 1 hour 20mins for our food. Other tables were complaining all around us. There’s a note on the menu saying “don’t come here if you want fast food” as if that justifies the long wait for food. The leadership team need to sort this problem so the restaurant can flourish to its full potential and stop upsetting it guests.

Great venue for my wife’s birthday treat! We were very well looked after and everyone enjoyed themselves. A good mix of young and old guests, food was amazing and service was excellent.

We have always loved coming here fabulous setting. It was Sunday lunch on bank holiday weekend but didn’t appear overly busy. Food took over an hour, my 87 dad needed to eat so I asked for some bread, was charged for this! In my view if you are going to take a long time to serve food you should offer the customer something for the table. Table next to us had starter but waited over 2 hours for their meal . waitress was lovely very friendly but the manager did not once acknowledge any customers. Food was very good and desserts wonderful. Just please improve the times or offer customers something if it will be overly long. Thanks

Beautiful river setting, a bit pricey but the food quality was well worth it. Caribbean jerk chicken was excellent, plus a good selection of cocktails and very nice.

What a shame this pub has the management and staff it does. We used to very much enjoy this pub, for it's location and quality of food and wine. We visited Waters Edge at the weekend by boat with friends after having a lovely day. We stopped for a bite to eat before returning home, arrived and the staff were rude, unwelcoming, defensive and the general manager was very unpleasant, rude and completely unreasonable. Grumpy is an understatement in a previous review. We will not visit again and won't recommend.

We arrived on time for our table and there was a slight mix up as presumably some people had asked to change tables so we got a table with no view. We ordered some wine and other drinks which too quite a long time to come. Orders taken and then the wait started !! The restaurant has nice decor with good furnishings, looked clean and utensils to a high standard. Such a pity the same could not be said about the food. It took an hour to get our food to us and the restaurant wasn't even that busy. The seabass was cooked to death, arriving as a dried up unappetising two filets of fish. The skin had turned to leather rather than a crispy delicacy and the white meat was no longer edible being dried out.I can only assume it had been sitting on the pass for ages under hot lamps as the plate was red hot and all the moisture had gone from the plate. Plating was to a poor standard with closed cockles served (where is the quality control). They were also gritty so presumably unwashed. Seabass promptly sent back, no visit from the owner who seemed very disinterested and was micromanaging staff. This was returned to the kitchen but again no interest from the owner, just a gleeful announcement that I wouldn't be charged for the food LOL. The duck was similarly prepared, again cooked to a leathery death, it makes you wonder why the food was cooked too long when there were people waiting. Duck should be pink with rendered fat, at least ask the customer or pre-warn them that you are going to cremate the poor duck breast. We all got to taste the efforts and all agreed with these observations. Chicken was well cooked thankfully although so little to visually please the diner, it was all the same bland colour. The enjoyment of food is helped by appealing visual presentation, not so here. Good points were hard to find after such a lot of disappointing late main dishes. The wine list was encouraging and gave a good cross section In summary its probably going to be put down as an anomaly but for us the Waters Edge is a poor example of the dining experience and appears to have fallen into the trap of not believing you have to try when you have captive tourist trade. Shame really, I remember when it used to be good there.
