Fantastic 😁, what a lovely pub!!!! We came here for a family meal and nothing disappointed us. There were 8 of us. Staff were very welcoming and friendly.The food was outstanding. Sunday carvery was plentiful and great selection of vegetables

Originally booked a table for 7 but a change of plans mentioned contacted to increase this to 12 people No problem but would've to be a separate table which was no problem to me. Upon arriving we were quickly offered drinks and menus There was a good choice of food and all of us were totally satisfied with our meals. We were competing on the Hills Ford 3 Shires Rally which was based across the road from this restraunt. I would recommend this place and the staff were very efficient friendly and top of their game

Met a good friend here for a midweek lunch. Great friendly and efficient service. I had a very good starter with focaccia, oil and olives. That was good, but the beef sandwich was amazing. The beef was piled into the bread and very very tender. It came with a pot of horseradish, a jug of gravy, a bowl of roasties and a Yorkshire pudding. It was like a midweek Summer roast dinner. Delicious and, wait for it, great value at £12.50. Super service, food and value. Well done all ❤️

The staff were very friendly and efficient. The food was excellent - I had the Ledbury steak and my husband had the tandoori chicken. The garden looked inviting, but the evening was too cool.

Absolutely fantastic REAL. carvery. The meat was cooked to perfection both the roast beef and pork.Great choice of sides also. Roast beetroot was a lovely alternative to roasted parsnips. Two more cracking meals at The Walwyn Arms during our weekend stay in Much Marcle. Great choice including daily specials board and gluten free options too. Service is impeccable, food delicious and lovely atmosphere. Our go-to place to eat when we are in the area. Love it.

I visited the Walywn Arms a few weeks ago with my family for a evening meal. I asked the woman on bar for a table and she very rudely asked if I had a table booked and told me that she was to busy to sort me out and sent me over to the waiting staff. This was very unacceptable as the restaurant wasn’t busy and we were only a table of 4. The young girls waiting were very polite and made my visit exceptional.

Hi,Not sure what happened last friday lunchtime at least disappointed.Have you changed your chef? Starter ordered liver pate (only starter I was remotely interested in O K Ordered cider battered cod and chips,very disappointing.Not your usual crisp enjoyable batter but served a Greasy Joe fish and chips hope this is just a one off my wife and I have been customers of the Walwyn Arms for more years than I would wish to remember.Will give you another try soon when hopefully food will be up to your usual high standard. Also what have you done to your menu! No longer available Brie as a starter and specials main course steak with salad and chips. You are probably thinking why did you not let us know at the time.I am a very reasonable person and appreciate things can sometimes go wrong.But I feel it may be helpful for you to have my input. The welcome was wonderful, the drinks selection was excellent and the food was superb 👌. The service was excellent. I cannot recommend the Walwyn Arms enough. I will most definitely return. 💯

Booked a table , as we were visiting the area I am local , but everyone else in the family had travelled a couple over 3 hrs , the atmosphere of the pub was lovely, the staff were really welcoming and friendly, but the food was not great we all had the carvery , all of our meat was tough and fatty , and the veg was cold , wouldn't visit again sorry

We went for a quiet meal together. On arrival we were greeted warmly. Great local drinks and friendly service. Food was really tasty and portions were really good. We had 3 courses and loved them all. Staff were really helpful and friendly. Highly recommend.

What a little gem of a pub/restaurant! We booked in for dinner after visiting Weston’s for a tour - also highly recommended - and could not have been more impressed with the place. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and kind; the food was superb - good honest fayre but cooked and served with obvious pride and care; and the ‘ambiance’ was friendly and welcoming. Particular praise for the bar and waiting staff who took the time to help us with specific requests, and made thoughtful recommendations. We cannot recommend The Walwyn Arms highly enough, and hope they prosper. They absolutely deserve to.

Lovely friendly atmosphere , Staff were very attentive, waiter/ waitress service was outstanding , the food was top notch , husband and brother in law had preordered the tomahawk steaks , they were cooked to perfection , chef even bought them out uncooked to show them , cannot recommend eating here enough , Thank you to all the staff

Hooray! The chef knows how to make a proper pie with shin of beef and shortcrust pastry! It was excellent, with good gravy. Most places use a dryer cut of meat with puff pastry which is not what a pie should be. Congratulations Chef - don't stop!

We had a fantastic Sunday lunch at the Walwyn. A carvery which included a choice of 3 meats and a lovely vegetable selection. The service was efficient and friendly.

Called for lunch, on the off chance, was not too busy but got busy afterwards. Wife had steak pie was lovely, I have ham egg and chips, couldn’t fault the food, was very nice. Waiting a long time for our plates to be cleared and when did asked for dessert menu which never arrived, disappointed with this, paid up went on our way. Service good to start then dropped off.

On the recommendation of others we booked a table at the Walwyn Arms for Sunday lunch and were so glad we did. We had the carvery roast which was delicious and huge! Beautifully cooked beef and all the trimmings. The service was excellent - staff very friendly and attentive and everything reasonably priced. When we visit the area again we will definitely be back at the Walwyn.

We arrived as a pre-booked party of 6 in the middle of the most horrendous thunderstorm, having travelled through some pretty interesting flooding to get to the pub. We were warmly welcomed, even with our very soggy dogs. The power had failed and the staff were so apologetic about maybe not being able to cook our much looked forward to supper. However they pulled out all the stops and, though there were certain items we couldn't choose, managed to deliver each one of us a really lovely pub meal. Who needs chips anyway?. 😂 I’d thoroughly recommend this place for the lovely staff, great service and good pub food. If you’re in the area, give it a go! Come rain or shine!

We have been coming to the walwyn arms for years and sadly I feel like it is not value for money anymore. Walwyn arms is a pub - it should not be serving food at such a premium price ( although I must admit the food is decent ) The outside is tired and is in desperate need of a lick of paint and the service is mediocre at best. I feel like it’s definitely too expensive now as 2 pints of cider, a lemonade and 3 packets of crisps cost almost £20!!

Food lovely. Service requires improvement. Were asked if ready to order however never been given menus. As Sunday we knew we were going to have a carvery so ordered that. No instructions given then 10mins later asked to go up. We had a toddler with us so half went up but then we’re asked abruptly if everyone could go up immediately. Tried to get waiters attention for additional drinks on two occasions which took its time. Lots of staff but all stood talking and not looking after customers. Did order pudding then felt rushed out with a lady and her clip board aswell as plates being cleared immediately so paid and left. Would have liked to have stayed for another drink but didn’t feel welcome. Won’t be returning.

This pub will forever have a special place in our hearts as it was the first pub we visited post Lockdown! It was sheer heaven to sit outside in the sunshine, sink a cold cider, and eat delicious food . The service was great, really warm and helpful. Been back a couple of times recently. The Walwyn is well organised from a Covid perspective, tables well spaced, clean and the staff are friendly and welcoming. The carvery was excellent, a huge portion brought to the table on plates with additional vegetables and extra gravy provided. Will be back.

Being on holiday we visited the pub for the first time. We booked a table early at 6.30pm on a Friday evening but it was quiet so we hadn't needed to.Hubbie had the chicken stir fry which he said was tasty and I had the venison casserole with creamy and smooth mash and cabbage. Both meals were good and it was nice to see something a little different on the menu.

Fantastic visit with great Covid precautions in place. We ate at 6:30 and a few menu items had sold out but nowadays I don’t mind as it’s nice to hear items sold out as it means the business has been busy. Very impressed with the steak for main and breaded Brie for starter. Couldn’t manage a dessert. Staff very friendly.

We had had a carvery before at the walwyn in much marcle which was great,but we went today was very disappointed we had the roast beef which was very under cooked carrots were hard & altogether not good the meat was not warm either. Went to the Walwyn Arms following a recommendation and enjoyed it so much we went back a couple of days later. On the first visit we have the beef carvery which was outstanding - the beef was melt in the mouth and it was accompanied by an interesting range of vegetables, include roast carrots and beetroot. It was one of the best roast dinners I have ever had. On the second occasion we have the fish and chips and butterfly chicken - again the food was excellent.The portion sizes were very good and service was excellent.

BEWARE PUBLIC HEALTH WARNINGManagers are open drug takers and are often high when working (when handling food and drink.What people do in there personal lives is up to them, but this was also during working hours. When Mark was working in the kitchen and Jen was front of house. This led to them making often making impulsive and odd decisions at the determent of the rest of the workforce.I am writing this review so people can make up their own minds about the Walwyn with the facts I've provided and make a choice if they wish to dine there.

Stopped here for lunch under Covid restrictions after stocking up on cider at Westons Cider Mill shop which is just up the road.Despite not being a 'local' made to feel very welcome by the hosts.Food was very good with both the 'burger and a pint' and 'carvery' good value at £10 and £12.50 respectively. Burger very tasty (home made?).Plenty of space to 'socially distance'.Definitley worth a visit if you are in the area.
