Nice cosy cafe. Good service and excellent cakes. It's off the main street we saw assign and just followed the directions

Nice well-prepared food, very pleasant staff. The premises are on a small out of the way street but having found it we were not disappointed. if we lived in the area we would be regular visitors

I've now been 3 times since the tearoom added puddings and Groovy Moo Gelato to the menu and each time has been wonderful - it's such a treat to be able to go somewhere with family and friends and just eat pudding - and what puddings they are!! - all freshly made and available to view in a big glass cabinet in the main restaurant. The portions are huge and all come with a choice of icecream from the icecream bar (Groovy Moo Gelato actually, which in itself is the best local icecream) You can also have cream or custard if you prefer. I highly recommend the pecan pavlova. The staff are also lovely - very welcoming!

Good food to cater for all sizes of appetites, attractively served in this tea room on the outskirts of Scarborough.I can thoroughly reccomend the fish pie .Various sizes of delicious fish served with chips will satisfy the appetites of the hungriest of people and all very reasonably priced.

We stopped off for a drink & cake while out for a walk. The Homemade cherry bakewell was yummie. The service was very quick and the staff friendly. Will defiantly call again when in the area.

Popped in here on our way to Whitby last Wednesday. Enjoyed the soup of the day (leek and potato) along with an extremely well filled sandwich. Pleasant decor, fab food and service. All in all a great place to stop for a bite to eat.

Booking a table is an absolute must or you won't get in! We booked for a Saturday night in Sept 18 and we weren't disappointed with the venue, the food or the service. The restaurant was very busy, and the service which was initially very quick slowed somewhat, but hey, we were enjoying an evening out with friends. By 7pm though, the whole place emptied and there were few people in there. I believe it closes at 7.30pm which is really strange given the quality of the food offered and the ambience. 3 out of 4 of us opted for the standard fish, chips and peas and that was plenty believe me. Go for the supersize fish if you are mega hungry but you'll struggle I bet! Puddings were to dream for, but none of us were able to partake, but they do offer a take away service on puds too. Great idea. Would we go again? Without a doubt. Loved it. Shame we live 200 miles away.....

We wanted a family lunch while on a trip to the North York moors. Walkers was very handy with good parking. The food was excellent. It was very well cooked and tasty.

This is really just an add-on to Walkers fish restaurant - it lacks style so is not really somewhere you would go to for a special treat but is perfect as a refreshment stop for anyone exploring Forge Valley

I LOVE the chicken Caesar wrap from here. It's £5.50 and then £2.50 for chips so it is about over priced. It is abit crammed and not the easiest to try get a pushchair through the door as there are 2 tables either side right next to the door. The staff are really nice and helpful.

Since this cafe changed hands just over a year ago, it has become a welcoming and friendly place to go for light refreshments. The coffee is great and the food is presented beautifully. Staff are lovely, especially the owner and his partner. Nothing is too much trouble and custom is very much appreciated. My one gripe is that dogs are allowed into the cafe and while loving the place, I really do object to having large dogs shaking themselves next to me while I'm eating. The owners, I understand, are dog lovers but there's a time and a place and an eatery isn't appropriate. The cafe is fabulous. I'm a very regular customer. I hope that others like me don't feel their custom should go elsewhere. It's five star without the animals but four star today...

We stopped here on our way home, when we arrived there was no one in the restaurant, we looked at the menu and were shocked with the expensive prices, since we were there we thought we should order, when it came you do get a substantial portion but the first chip I ate tasted of pure grease, the fish looked big but in actual fact it was just all batter, then it started to go soggy on the plate and ended up been a plate of greasy mush! The bread was stale and tasted of perfume! Cheap slices of bread for an overpriced meal!..I won’t be going back here again!

Walker’s tea rooms are in East Ayton on Main Street, and they are well worth a run out from town. We had a lovely drive along Forge Valley, which brings you out right opposite Walkers.

I used to take my mum here when I was visiting her before she became ill. We used to visit the tea shop at the front rather than go into the restaurant at the back. We always sat by the window in the front as the only downside to the place that it was limited seating.

Dropped in midway round a walk and it provided good food if a little pricier than the average tea room. It specialises in fish and chips, the latter being very tasty and we tea for two allowed a couple of good sized cups each. Desserts are displayed in a central cabinet and I can only vouch for the Eton Mess leaving you wanting more, it was that good. Service was fast, friendly and efficient.

We stopped here after a drive from Manchester for a break en route to a wedding. I had the cream tea (scone, jam, cream and a pot of English tea) and my fiance had the crayfish tails sandwich. Both were amazing! Fresh food, great prices and lovely place. We sat outdoors in the sunshine. Staff were all polite and more than happy to help. Fast service, highly recommended.

8 of us went to walkers for lunch. 3 had cups of coffee and 5 had tea, we were given 2 tea pots which they said were large but we only had 1 1/2 cups each. The drinks were brought when we ordered the food and by the time the food arrived the drinks were cold. Average service from the staff, nothing out of the ordinary. Food ok but throught that it was over priced for what we had.

I don’tknow if this place is any good. After 15 minutes waiting at the bar, only 1 person got served - by the 2 staff. The 1 ‘serving’ then left 6 of us waiting and went outside to wipe down tables. Rude, surly, we up and left.

We had the unfortunate "luck" of spending a night at this place. Got a "suite" under the creaky flooring of the pub with noise-channelling ventilation ducts overhead, a substandard kitchen with no cupboards and wobbly table, a toilet with no ventilation, exposed pipes and disjointed faucet and a door with no handle in sight... All this came with a delayed check-in and service that leaves much to hope for. While the rooms above the pub may make for a better night's sleep, there is little hope that could improve this establishment's culture of hospitality.

I came here during each visit from Canada and we were just getting ready to return again. I am just shocked to find out that they have closed permanently and I can only live with my memories. I wanted to bring my wife there for what I hoped would be another incredible weekend. I can only hope the very best for the family and say thanks for all of the memories and the fantastic bar towels that I still have after 20 years Thank you. Muchas gracias. Hvala, arrigoto, Merci,

What’s really interesting about this cafe is that it’s part of the now closed second funicular tram at the top. Loved the Yorkshire owner of the cafe ☕️. Great bacon rolls before we checked into The Grand next door 🚪 (which we liked ❤️ too)
