We went to cafe before doing shopping. Limited brunch menu. Good quality toasties and various pastries, muffins etc. Coffee ok. Not the best. Generally clean. Pleasant no-nonsense staff. A few tables outside for those with dogs.

All good except the new young lady filling the coffee cups up to the lip needs to understand we need somewhere for the milk to go….the older lady is superb

As a regular, the Waitrose Cafe here in Chipping Sodbury has the best staff and serves the best teas, coffees and cakes. I would highly recommend doing your shopping first and popping in here after for something to drink and eat.

Comimos aquí la semana pasada fuimos por la papa de la chaqueta, ya que parecía la mejor relación calidad-precio. No eran tan grandes, solo tibios, y la descripción completa era engañosa, ya que leía verduras a la brasa, salsa de oliva y queso feta. Sin embargo, las verduras estaban realmente en la salsa y no muchas. Hablé con el asistente que me mostró la salsa que estaba a la venta en la tienda. Ella ofreció un reembolso. Definitivamente no vale 4: 99 p.

This is ok for a supermarket cafe, although Waitrose are now much less generous with their loyalty card freebies. I still go there for a latte, even when I'm not shopping!

Mi esposo siempre tiene un café con leche o un capuchino y dice que Hamptons es simplemente el mejor café de degustación. Hoy tenía un tocino de tocino de granero que estaba lleno de tocino de excelente sabor, mientras que mi esposo tenía huevos escalfados en hongos portobello encima de panecillos, le encantaron los huevos jugosos y el huevo rancio. El personal siempre muy atento y Gerry es un anfitrión realmente encantador, su esposa Tammy está haciendo la cocina fabulosa.

Now free coffee has ceased , this is just another coffee shop with expensive eats, no table service, not a lot going for it now, there are certainly less customers than before

Busy. Usual menu. Staff ( partners) polite and helpful. Avocado on toast up to usual standard, if somewhat cold by the time it arrived. Clean and tidy. Usually make time for something when I come here

For someone who has never been here before it is oddly difficult to find this cafe nestled, upstairs, alongside the Library as it is. Quite a limited food offering but OK quality. Excellent tea. Pre-packed prawn salad OK but there was a very long wait for a veggie burger and they weren't terribly busy at the time. It served to get a few calories on board but it is soulless. Perhaps I am expecting too much from a humble supermarket cafe, but is Waitrose!

A very limited selection of cakes and pastries. The cafe was clean enough, but there was not a very large choice of food.

Seats are at a premium in this town centre supermarket. Service today was quick, there was a good selection of free newspapers and my coffee was pleasantly prepared and tasted good. Well done.

This place is ok if you can get a seat. Unfortunately, when you need a rest after a shop, you regularly cannot get a seat here.

No queue, few people in the cafe, free papers to read......and a thirty pence coffee. Lovely jubbly. It was pleasantly served and tasted good......recommended.

Bacon roll a must and lovely cakes on offer. Staff excellent and friendly and welcoming couldn't fault my visit at all. Will definitely be going back

We had coffee and cake which were predictably good - though the tables looked a little on the tired side. However there were only two public toilets for the whole store (both unisex) The one I went in was also signed as being suitable for changing babies in. I would not have liked to have changed a baby in there. The loo seat was up (yuk but hey ho its unisex) but worse still the underneath of the seat was dirty with built up grime (feeling queazy now). I had to touch the seat to lower it and in so doing noticed that the loo brush which was next to the bowl was heavily splashed and dusty and that the brush itself was standing in several inches of brown fluid. (now feeling very squiffy). I then noticed that the floors were dusty and grimy by the skirting and in the corners and that the walls near the washbasin and dryer were heavily water stained. To think people go in here and then go out and handle produce. Unfortunately i had to touch the door handle to get out. Definitely not up to Waitrose standards.

This doesn't pretend to be a 'posh' restaurant but as a Supermarket Café it's just fine. There is usually adequate table space although because it's busy the tables could sometimes do with a wipe but free newspapers + free Waitrose Coffee make it excellent value!

All good for food, and coffee and cake. Visited many times great location to look around Chipping Sodbury wit free parking up to 4 hrs

Comido aquí varias veces, una torta o sándwich mientras toma un café (que puede tener uno gratis cada día, sentarse o llevar! Disfrute de las bebidas) siempre, personal muy atento, un poco decepcionados por las tartas, nunca parecen disfrutar de ellos, así que no tengo mas, pero quizá soy yo! Ambiente agradable y relajante en la zona de comedor, papeles gratis para leer, fuera de la zona disponible cuando el clima lo permite.

I only went for a cup of tea and came but it was quick and the cake was delicious with a good sized pot of tea! ( got almost 3 cups!)

I use Mywaitrose card and if you buy a cake you can have a free coffee/tea. Nice cafe, and lovely to sit outside in the summer. However, it's difficult to get a table as it's so popular.

This is a pleasant care with a limited range of food. At the moment, the main problem for me is that there is an external door right next to the tables. In the winter when it's cold outside, there's an icy blast of air every time someone opens the door. It's an automatic door operated by a button, and stays open for about five seconds after the person has gone, allowing a lot more cold air to blow in. Why don't the management close it to casual users during cold weather? I'm sure it could be arranged to remain as an emergency exit while out of general use.

If you have Waitrose card they give you a free tea or coffee, prefect with a bacon roll. Great service and always a place to sit and start the day.

Going around 6.30pm on a Saturday is not good at all, there is no food to have, when I asked the girl at the counter if she had any sandwiches she just said no.

Clean, tidy & efficient service from staff. The large value for money slices of carrot cake are a must. Never had such delicious moist carrot cake anywhere but here. Nice & relaxing place to be

I am so happy that we now have this shop as it's mostly so easy to pop in and out of as it doesn't have the same constant busy shopping as other supermarkets. Unless you go at peak times such as the early evening or Saturday morning. Huge car park and a cash machine which is free and is inside the store.Usual Chipping Sodbury wanna be Sloane Rangers hang around here with very nice cars mostly paid for on HP pretentiously walking around with the free Waitrose Coffee cups with silly Ralph Lauren jumpers over their shoulders always makes me laugh. The staff are much more friendly than the ones found in the big Tesco store in Yate and much smarter than the ones found in Morrisons in Yate.The store has lots of room with wide isles for wheelchairs and mother and baby, also has accessible toilets.

Waitrose cafes lack character and atmosphere but you know what you'll get from one to another. Staff are usually friendly and the food is always the same time after time. We use the cafe sometimes when we are shopping there but wouldn't go to Waitrose just to use the cafe.

This is a lovely little cafe in chipping sodbury. The staff are always very friendly and welcoming. With the waitrose card, you can get one free hot drink per day. We usually get out free hot drink, and to sit in the cafe you need to make a purchase, so buy a delicious bacon roll or porridge. Really like it here, better that some places in the high street,

Great pit shop before shopping, seating available indoors and out. Usual cafe options, seating is limited due to available space. Bathroom facilities located at other side of store near the fruit section.

I go to Waitrose cafe everytime I go shopping there which is nearly every week. It is ok the drinks and food are average, nothing special! However it is a cafe in a supermarket so can't really expect the best. However they need to get some people to clean the tables as everytime I go there there is always always always tables with cups etc. on them and no staff are cleaning them so u end up cleaning to the tables yourself which is a big downfall as it always happens!! I would recommend the cafe as like I said the food and drinks are ok and there is a good selection of food and drink but don't go there and expect very good service or quality because you won't get it!

Similar to the cafe at Wells, the inside cafe is to be found a sharp-right turn when inside the entrance. My normal fare of coffee and scone was quickly served, by chatty smart staff and tasted very good at this, my first visit to this store. The cafe thus comes recommended.

Twenty minute wait for barely warm jacket potato with chilled egg mayo and salty pink cardboard purporting to be bacon.The 'Service' consisted of the plates being banged onto to the café counter with a shout of 'Two egg and bacon jackets' instead of them being brought to the table as in the past. No check that they had been collected by the right customer and no receipt to allow feedback on Waitrose website.

It's always good to sit and take a break from the shopping and the Waitrose Cafe is a great place to stop, even for just a few minutes. Very friendly staff. Coffee has a great taste. Gets busy around 11.00 on a Saturday morning.

A pleasant place to sit adds to the great coffee and croissants. Fairly small space. Outdoor seating but not in winter.

I have eaten here a couple of times, it's nice enough but the downside is that there is often a lack of choice. The staff are very good and the cafe is always clean.

Pleasant young staff in this very busy café. I wonder if it will be quite as busy now that Waitrose's free drink policy has been, very sensibly, modified.It is often difficult to find a clear table here, we have even seen one of the (Store?) Managers clearing tables which I think sets a very good example but why not start a self clear policy with a rack for trays of used crockery. It seems to work in other places.
