Waitrose Cafe in Cheshire East

I really enjoy going to Waitrose cafe I have found all the staff to be very friendly and efficient. The cakes and pastries are delicious.

The bad reviews... It's a supermarket, what exactly do you expect - cut them some slack Sharon.. Always friendly and helpful whenever I use it, best coffee in Sandbach and decent selection of food.

This cafe (along with the rest of this supermarket) got steadily worse Sold out of items Keep reducing options Short on staff so they don't open on time or close early, sometimes not at all . Tables not cleaned. Not to mention very high prices. Will start going elsewhere.

This is, or at least was, a quick pit stop on the way home from work. However…we have since found an alternative. Waitrose cafe put a hell of a mark up on the food that they sell, which you can purchase from the shop for a hell of a lot less. The tables are usually dirty and sticky as our the chairs and the floor is covered in food. Cafe staff stand around bitching about their colleagues and staff from the shop floor go behind the counter without the required hair covers and aprons. Further more, staff handle money y and then food without washing their hands or wearing gloves. The tuna baguettes and chicken baguettes are not refrigerated and left on a non chilled shelf, under lamps and their “freshly made” claim is so far from the truth it’s a lie. Staff in coffee shop are rude, unprofessional, and unhelpful and management don’t seem to care. Waitrose in Sandbach is on a rapid decline.

Staff did not communicate well, I'm disabled and had to keep asking questions, as they weren't saying anything. At how expensive it is, the presentation of food and drinks could be so much better. Staff stood behind me clinking glasses while I had a migraine and was enjoying the peaceful moment. Then I found out they don't do take away cups. As a disabled person, I often struggle to drink the whole drink in one, I also struggle to hold up heavy cups. I'd like to know why this is not an option.

Cafe worker. Rude. No manners. Daughter had put 3 items and receipt on table. Cafe worker said you carnt eat that in here. We didn’t intend to. She had no customer care. Staff should learn not to say what they are thinking but to carry on with there job. If we had ate what was on the table that’s different but this lady should go on a customer care course.

Very friendly staff with a great food menu and amazing selection of cakes and pastries to choose from. We had a freshly prepared chicken baguette and soup and roll which were both very tasty and great value. We will definitely visit again.
