The staff were friendly and helpful. Dairy free options are available for coffees. However, it is a struggle to get a dairy free/ gluten free item to eat. I ended up getting a cereal bar, when everyone else gets cake.

We used the cafe for breakfast whilst shopping. I had the Welsh rarebit, and my family the bacon and avocado on toast. The rarebit was out of a tub cold, it had to be sent back. The avocado was out of a tub. Pointless considering the quality of the product sold in store.

Can recommend the café for lunch, before we did our shopping. As with all Waitrose stores the food is very good so we were surprised to have something different off the special menu. It was the chicken ... with chickpeas and salad greenery, with a chillie dressing - a bit strong for me but my partner thoroughly enjoyed it. The recommended Welsh rarebit hit the mark for ma-in-law. The tirimisu for me and the cherry and almond tart for the other finished the meal off. Coffee went down a treat.

Service was slow, prices extortionate. Had a chicken salad which was literally 4 pieces of dry smoked chicken, lettuce leaves and some dressing. Also had an 8 oz steak which I asked for medium rare but was well done.

When this first started I went with friends and it was great. Went again on Friday it was a real disappointment. Too much batter, very little fish and both over cooked. Such a shame - sadly won’t be risking it again.

visited for the first time for lunch. Great company but service so slow in at 12.30 out at 3.30 . I know it was busy but got the impression our mains had been waiting on the side before serving-barely warm. starters dressed crab-sharp taste, small portion nothing to eat it with- should have had toast or sourdough something to enhance some loose picked crab with radichio or sliced cabbage !!!!! Mains halibut- so overcooked it was chewy and nearly cold and i didn't eat all of it despite it being my favourite fish. Prawn dumpling- was it prawn? grainy and tasteless. Champagne sauce taste more like overcooked condensed milk. Couldn't face pudding. Ordered English breakfast tea to follow - . tiny teapot with 2 teabags -soooo strong!!! Noise levels overwhelming will not be returning
