Disappointing... I have ordered Yasai Yaki mushroom Soba with Udon noodles, however received normal noodles instead. Didn't want to wait any longer as I was starving, so I didn't ask to change it for what I ordered. Noodles had no flavour and barely any mushrooms. Also we had to wait for the simple starters for ages. No one came to ask for deserts, service was poor. 2 stars given for free green tea and lychee lemonade was really good.

Not sure why low stars , based on that I was bit apprehensive to come in , as I was worried service will be slow due to other comments and we were restricted with time , so wanted have enough time to eat and relax. Not being rushed of dish will come later, but my son wanted wagamama as he loves it . (First time at Crawley wagamama) Atmospheres was great, they werent full as we first arrived but got serviced asap. Once they got full restaurant, we were approached by 3 staff to checked on us, order more staff etc, all the waitress worked as a team there , and I’ve observed, all of the team looked after well of other clients. There was one gentleman he asked if we would like anything else, he wasn’t sure if he upset me so he checked with my husband once he was ordering more drinks ! How kind of him, Anyway great service and great food ! No complains def will be coming back. ! Plenty space for wheelchair users and they make sure they will fit everyone accordingly to their needs ! came in for the first time, unsure if i seated myself or got seated, was instantly greeted by the manager who helped me sit, found me a nice quiet seat as i was alone. talked me through the whole menu and made me feel so welcome.Isha took my order and served me and made sure i had everything i needed. food came out so quickly and tasted amazing! i’ll definitely be back on my trips to Crawley.

We were a group of 13, some children, from start to finish we were given 5 star treatment by the manager and a female member of staff, we have an Autistic granddaughter and she wouldn't eat the food, we asked if we could get a Macdonalds for her and the manager said of course. He even asked her if she would like a plate for it and also the female assistant interacted with her. Excellent service

This restaurant is one of my favourites , and it never fails me, the food is great , the atmosphere is warm and inviting, and to be honest the wait times aren’t that long, especially if you’re with your friends.The staff are also super kind, especially our server Lux, she was so sweet and was overall a very approachable person. Definitely recommend coming here if you have a last minute dinner decision.

Much improved from our last visit over a year ago. Katsu Salad, Veg Gyozas, honey glazed chicken, crackers, lemon and ginger tea and ginger ale drink - all delicious. The food does come out a bit randomly though in terms of timing. But it's just something you get used to, because you know they are making these dishes fresh. My wife wasn't happy with the fattyness of her chicken but they changed the dish to something else with no hesitation or arguement. Perfect customer service couldn't ask for anything more.

Had a lovely lunch date with myself today. I came in wanting to try the crispy rice squares with salmon but they were unfortunately not available. My server Abi was lovely and helped me pick out a replacement dish. After a little time, and after 1 of my 2 small plates had been delivered to my table, Abi came to check on me which is when she realised I was missing the bao buns I had ordered. She checked with the kitchen before informing me that they would be comp-ing the buns for the inconvenience. The manager Freya came to check on me once I had received all of my food and told me that the crispy rice squares had just finished being prepared if I still wanted to try them, on the house! I was delighted, accepted and they were delicious! Worth the wait and the little extra time, thank you ladies!

I think the atmosphere suffers because there is little time to chat as your food just keeps coming. However, this place is near the airport and cinemas so maybe speed is essential.

My Mum and I went to Wagamamas in Crawley this weekend, we go often and are never disappointed but the service was down right awful. The waitress was incredibly abrupt, rude and failed to tell us that not only were there no juices available but also no steak, beef and over 6 starters were not available before we ordered. As we had ordered mainly beef options we had to change all our starters, mains and drinks. Once the waitress came back my mum politely double checked if a certain starter was unavailable to which the waitress snapped at her in a rude tone saying "like I said before". When the food arrived my dish was lacking 3 components listed on the menu and looked nothing like the photo but instead like it had been thrown on to the plate last minute, my mum had ordered a hot pot and had to eat it with chopsticks for 20 minutes until the ladles were out of the dishwasher. I spoke to the waitress who took my dish back and returned with two components in small dishes, still missing mange trout and the others not being mixed into the dish like how it's meant to be served. The waitress brought her manager over and had the dish send back for a SECOND TIME. This took around 15 minutes for my dish to come back by which time my mum had completely finished her meal. By the time I was half way through my meal one of our sides ,Bao buns, had arrived almost 50 minutes after we had ordered them, we had forgot we had ordered them because it has been that long. We paid in FULL for our meal with no discount offered by any managers even with all of these issues. I absolutely love Wagamamas and have it regularly but this was shocking service and beyond disappointing. Having the waitress be rude to customers, not inform them that large amounts of the menu was unavailable, have to send my dish back TWICE to get it correct therefore waiting over 20 minutes while my mum finished her meal before I even began, incredibly late side dish and not providing my mum with the correct utensils to eat her meal till she was finished. Then to be offered no discount by the manager is ridiculous and poor customer service. I want a refund.

Our waiter Abi was amazing, making conversation with us, very chatty and friendly. The manager seemed to be the most supportive and helpful man I’ve ever met, supporting his team and helping them out when needed (it was busy for a Tuesday night). Two of our dishes were forgotten about and we got offered drinks on the house within moments of them realising.All the staff were friendly and helpful, food and service was great. Working in hospitality myself made me realise that every restaurant should have a manager like this guy- he’s amazing and deserves a pay rise!!!

Not the usual brilliant experience I'm accustomed too at other Wagamama restaurants. Visited as a group of 9 - Service team had to be prompted for pretty much every dish and when they were served they were mostly lukewarm (clearly they were left idle for too long). It was busy but you'd expect that for a Friday evening.

Gerone the front of house manager and our server Lux were extremely attentive and kind as my food was slow to come out at first but once I let him know he took care of my order personally and they offered us dessert on the house and comped my meal. After getting my order wrong and no apology I finally got my Firecracker chicken. If you like a bowl of plain rice and raw pepper then this dish I is for you. It certainly had no firecracker heat and was borderline to having zero chicken. A most underwhelming meal.

Ordered a takeaway from your LOVELY staff in Crawley at 6.30pm tonight. Alas, food was really congealed, cold and bore no resemblance whatsoever to Wagas food elsewhere. It also took 20 minutes despite only 4 other diners in-house. More 'chefs' than customers but still too much trouble..? Particularly grim was the 'chilli squid' which was, um, 6 wet, soggy chip things (?!?!) with neither form nor flavour. COMPLETELY INEDIBLE. 😱😱😱😱😱 BIN. Complete waste of money. The great staff are wasted. I wish them luck.

Stopped in for dinner before theatre at the hawth and had a great meal.. this was probably the fastest hottest food I have ever received in a wagamama and our server was excellent but unfortunately I have forgotten her name All our sides and mains were piping hot and absolutely spot on.. the only slight downside Is we were seated near the kitchen and the member of staff tasked with assembling the collection orders seemed to think he was a prankster and was variously getting in the way of other colleagues, holding up empty bags so they turn into them and flinch and at one point seemed to be batting a colleague with an inflated rubber glove.. I believe they were challenged by a manager but the behaviour didn't really stop in the time we were there which made it a slight blemish on an otherwise excellent meal

I really like wagamama restaurants - you know the food is reliably good and as long as you go in expecting a certain level of chaos you won't be disappointed. We were warned on entering there would be a 45 minute wait for food but this was fine, we appreciated the warning and weren't in a rush. This time around we tried the cocktails and I have to say they were really good. The gentlemen serving us was attentive and polite despite rushing around between customers.

Such a pathetic place. Family with kids were asked to sit in middle of other benches. We had asked if we can bring the french fries from McDonald's and they said yes. So we brought it and another staff asked us to not eat it here. On top of that the waiter gave expressions that how come these are people ordering 3 soups... Upon receiving such treatment, we decided to not eat there and asked for parcel but there again, they brought the soups on the table. We ended up with cold parcels for all of us to eat at home. Never coming back to this restaurant with ilinformed and arrogant staff

Queue wasn't too long to get in, really good food but it took a long time for someone to put down our order and no one responded to our request for condiments until asked for again. That being said, it was Father's day and we came at around lunchtime, so probably more busy than usual. Overall, a lovely place, would recommend. Update 6/5/24 Decided to have lunch here before setting off for weekend nature sightseeing. Was greeted with a smile. Served by Elvis. Very accommodating. Ordered our favourite shirodashi noodles and steamed duck bun. Still tastes very good. Toilets clean. Car park managed by UKPC.

We went to Wagamama’s tonight and had our usual order of Yaki Soba. Unfortunately it was very disappointing. The bean sprouts were missing so they had added extra noodles. We were not told this when we ordered and the food was very bland. Even after the second attempt. We were offered a refund by the waitress but the Manager said no. Didn’t even come over to tell us why.

I've been to a number of Wagamama restaurants but I have to say that the service here stands out...mainly because of Naomi. She was really intuitive with customers trying to get the attention of the staff. She wasn't my assigned waitress but picked up that I was after something and swiftly came over. When the customers kept leaving the door open upon exiting, she noticed that I had gotten up to close it and assured me that if it happened again, she would close it...and monitor it. Naomi had the ability to be wherever she was needed. She really is an asset to the company and I hope that is recognised before someone else snaps her up. Thanks Naomi, you're a rarity in the world of customer service!

We had a great lunch at Crawley Wagamama. Properley served and very hot. My wife had a chicken and rice Katsu Curry, dish it looked good and was good. I had a meat dish in a hot and spiced sauce Tantamen Beef Briszket. Excellent. We could only praise the young man Christa who served us. I am disabled and can only walk with a walking frame. Nothing was too much trouble for Christa to help and make us comfortable. Thank you. We shall return.

COMPLETELY horrendous 'meal' at this place. Incredibly slow service, food arrives as its cooked so one main arrived 15 minutes before everyone elses....the starters arrived last and thats after reminding the waitress that we had ordered them!! My ginger chicken soba noodle thing smelled like toilet cleaner, was unpleasant to eat and pretty tasteless. The gyozas were dry, almost cardboard texture. £90 bill for four....rip off, unapologetic dump with all the ambience of Victoria coach station. I will NEVER eat at Wagamamas again and wouldnt recommend this place if you held a gun to my head. I want to say SOMETHING helpful....Chloe (waitress) you were very friendly!

Came here for lunch with family and had 3x chicken katsu curry and some squid. The food was fine and arrived very quickly. I think the curry was slightly bland and the rice was very sticky. My portion needed more sauce so the rice became dry very quickly. When we went to pay we tried to pay online but the wifi was bad and by the time we got to the payment page, it crashed. So we had to pay normally instead. Friendly and very helpful staff.

Monday evening 26th February we were staying overnight in Crawley and we visited this restaurant for dinner. Was slightly apprehensive about coming here as the last visit here the food was not great. We have always been fans of this chain so thought let's give it another chance. We were greeted at the door shown to our table, which was a booth with two seats, and given the menus. To start with we ordered two pints of Ashahi Dry, £6.80 each. We then ordered two dishes that we had never had before, Teriyaki Soba chicken £15 and Shu's Shiok chicken £14. When served our food was very tasty and enjoyable. We were able to pay the bill online, which was £42. 60, we were also able to add on a tip. Pleased to say the restaurant appears to have got it's sparkle back, tasty food and friendly service.

This is our second time here and we only came back because someone we were with would t eat anywhere else. It was still as horrendous as I remember it being the first time. The only reason we gave it 2 stars is because the young man serving us was amazing and so apologetic for the rubbish service we got! The first time we visited we all got our food at different times and some of us had finished when the others were just getting their food. The food was cold and disgusting. This time it happened again. One of us ordered food that didn’t arrive and when it did it was wrong. Don’t come here. It is an expensive mistake.

A bit disappointed, but a good place overall. This might be commonsense for everyone else, however my partner and I were expecting authentic asian cusine and a proper restaurant, but what we got was bordering fast-food style dining. This not a con, it is just not what we expected, and so we were a bit disppointed. Picture paper place mats, lots of noise, and shared long tables. The chairs were uncomfortable because they had no backrest, we were there for 2 hours and I had to hold my coat in my lap the whole time. The bathroom was clean and the stalls were quite spacious. Although the service was very quick-paced, it was great, Ahmed (I hope I spelled that right) has taken good care of us. The food was blander than what one would expect from an asian place. Starter: vegan K-dogs - not bad, wish there was a non vegan version avilable too, and wish it weren't only the sauces that gave it flavour. Main 1: teriyaki chicken donburi - the teriyaki sauce felt a bit watered down, although still very tasty with an added dash of soy sauce Main 2: chicken curry rice - not at all like the traditional japanese dish, it had a lot of veg that felt out of place, and not a lot of chicken. It was also rather lemony and barely tasted like a curry. (We know it's supposed to be a mild curry, but it didn't pass for that either.) Dessert: black honey chouxnut - fairly decent, not too sweet which is good. It is essentially a single giant profiterole with exotic filling options, and we did not complain. Drinks: "large" peach iced tee - tasted eaxctly like Lipton, and probably was. We don't reckon the large was a pint, max 400ml. Free green tea - well it wasn't bad, and from what we could tell it was made fron loose leaf tea, but we are just not the type of people who drink tea without adding anything to it. I have to mention that the open kitchen was quite interesting and entertaining. The chefs were working very hard, and so did the axtractor fans, because steam did not escape into the dining area once, and the restaurant did not smell heavily of food. It was obvious that the ingredients were fresh, and compared to the fact that it was busy, the food came out at a reasonable time. It was a bit awkward though when they served the starter at the same time as one of the mains, and then we had to wait for the 2nd main for about another 7-10 minutes at least. I understand why this place is popular, it is well suited for the British palette, but it will not be the place where we go for aisian cusine in the future, there are cheaper places with more authentic and tastier dishes. We have nothing against the restaurant, as you see I've given 5 stars because nothing was bad enough for it to deserve 4, but I couldn't help but notice these small things, because we went in with high expectations. I hope this review helped you get an idea of the place~ I recommend it if you don't mind spending a bit of ££ and are looking for a more special, but casual asian place to eat. (The above cost us £59 +tip, no service charge is added to the bill automatically.)

Thrice in two weeks I popped my Wagamama bubble. The food was very nice. Plenty of options to suit everyone. It arrives haphazardly which is cool, you might get your main when your buddy gets his starter, it's all good. The billing system is very clever and allows online billing from the details scribbled on your table mats. You can split bills, add tips etc. A clever format. 👍

Came in after a swimming meet so was very hungry could see it was busy we was asked to wait 10 minutes which is fine as could see the restaurant was busy. Restaurant was clean and tidy Staff were very helpful and friendly We ordered drinks and food at the same time which was quick nd easy Really enjoyed my visit today

Editing to add its been a week and I've not had a reply to my official complaint. I guess they really really don't care. I am so sad to write this review but I hope it reaches my fellow queue waiters on NYE. I have submitted an official complaint but the short of it was we waited 1 hour and 15 mins for a table at an almost empty restaurant before giving up and leaving. One staff member cried. One was rude and abrasive when questioned (she was also a minor so I appreciate she should not have been put in that situation) and absolutely no reason was given to the many of us stood waiting for a table. Initially I was told 25/30 mins wait that was passed on from another customer. One man was the ring leader of the complaining and he had been waiting far longer than we had and for god knows how long afterwards. The restaurant was empty, the staff doing nothing apart from the slowest cleaning of tables I've ever seen. The chefs bored and eventually giving up and removing their whites. If I was guessing I'd say the staff wanted to make sure there were no customers in too near to 9pm when they shut, but that's just a guess. Do better wagamamas - your staff and your customers deserve better! On the plus side there was a jolly atmosphere in the queue for most of the time and it was definitely one of the most British experiences I've had in a while. I hope some of you eventually got in and got food. We went next door to Nandos which was rammed but they sat us within 10 mins and we had drinks instantly and food 10 mins later. Their staff were running around cleaning tables and doing everything with a smile. I left a hefty tip. If nandos can do it, wags can too I'm sure!

Had not been for a while as last few visits were not great. Seems to have new management as staff were brilliant, food was back up to top standard and was a lovwly evening. It was really busy but the staff looked after us and ensured we had everything we needed. Look forward to the next visit.
