We had a great lunch at Crawley Wagamama. Properley served and very hot. My wife had a chicken and rice Katsu Curry, dish it looked good and was good. I had a meat dish in a hot and spiced sauce Tantamen Beef Briszket. Excellent. We could only praise the young man Christa who served us. I am disabled and can only walk with a walking frame. Nothing was too much trouble for Christa to help and make us comfortable. Thank you. We shall return.

COMPLETELY horrendous 'meal' at this place. Incredibly slow service, food arrives as its cooked so one main arrived 15 minutes before everyone elses....the starters arrived last and thats after reminding the waitress that we had ordered them!! My ginger chicken soba noodle thing smelled like toilet cleaner, was unpleasant to eat and pretty tasteless. The gyozas were dry, almost cardboard texture. £90 bill for four....rip off, unapologetic dump with all the ambience of Victoria coach station. I will NEVER eat at Wagamamas again and wouldnt recommend this place if you held a gun to my head. I want to say SOMETHING helpful....Chloe (waitress) you were very friendly!

Came here for lunch with family and had 3x chicken katsu curry and some squid. The food was fine and arrived very quickly. I think the curry was slightly bland and the rice was very sticky. My portion needed more sauce so the rice became dry very quickly. When we went to pay we tried to pay online but the wifi was bad and by the time we got to the payment page, it crashed. So we had to pay normally instead. Friendly and very helpful staff.

Monday evening 26th February we were staying overnight in Crawley and we visited this restaurant for dinner. Was slightly apprehensive about coming here as the last visit here the food was not great. We have always been fans of this chain so thought let's give it another chance. We were greeted at the door shown to our table, which was a booth with two seats, and given the menus. To start with we ordered two pints of Ashahi Dry, £6.80 each. We then ordered two dishes that we had never had before, Teriyaki Soba chicken £15 and Shu's Shiok chicken £14. When served our food was very tasty and enjoyable. We were able to pay the bill online, which was £42. 60, we were also able to add on a tip. Pleased to say the restaurant appears to have got it's sparkle back, tasty food and friendly service.

Our Korean hotpots (one chicken the other tofu) were fine but seemed to miss something that would make them distinct. The Cauliflower Bang Bang was boring. Service was great. I think I'll stick yo their classics the next time I visit.

This is our second time here and we only came back because someone we were with would t eat anywhere else. It was still as horrendous as I remember it being the first time. The only reason we gave it 2 stars is because the young man serving us was amazing and so apologetic for the rubbish service we got! The first time we visited we all got our food at different times and some of us had finished when the others were just getting their food. The food was cold and disgusting. This time it happened again. One of us ordered food that didn’t arrive and when it did it was wrong. Don’t come here. It is an expensive mistake.

A bit disappointed, but a good place overall. This might be commonsense for everyone else, however my partner and I were expecting authentic asian cusine and a proper restaurant, but what we got was bordering fast-food style dining. This not a con, it is just not what we expected, and so we were a bit disppointed. Picture paper place mats, lots of noise, and shared long tables. The chairs were uncomfortable because they had no backrest, we were there for 2 hours and I had to hold my coat in my lap the whole time. The bathroom was clean and the stalls were quite spacious. Although the service was very quick-paced, it was great, Ahmed (I hope I spelled that right) has taken good care of us. The food was blander than what one would expect from an asian place. Starter: vegan K-dogs - not bad, wish there was a non vegan version avilable too, and wish it weren't only the sauces that gave it flavour. Main 1: teriyaki chicken donburi - the teriyaki sauce felt a bit watered down, although still very tasty with an added dash of soy sauce Main 2: chicken curry rice - not at all like the traditional japanese dish, it had a lot of veg that felt out of place, and not a lot of chicken. It was also rather lemony and barely tasted like a curry. (We know it's supposed to be a mild curry, but it didn't pass for that either.) Dessert: black honey chouxnut - fairly decent, not too sweet which is good. It is essentially a single giant profiterole with exotic filling options, and we did not complain. Drinks: "large" peach iced tee - tasted eaxctly like Lipton, and probably was. We don't reckon the large was a pint, max 400ml. Free green tea - well it wasn't bad, and from what we could tell it was made fron loose leaf tea, but we are just not the type of people who drink tea without adding anything to it. I have to mention that the open kitchen was quite interesting and entertaining. The chefs were working very hard, and so did the axtractor fans, because steam did not escape into the dining area once, and the restaurant did not smell heavily of food. It was obvious that the ingredients were fresh, and compared to the fact that it was busy, the food came out at a reasonable time. It was a bit awkward though when they served the starter at the same time as one of the mains, and then we had to wait for the 2nd main for about another 7-10 minutes at least. I understand why this place is popular, it is well suited for the British palette, but it will not be the place where we go for aisian cusine in the future, there are cheaper places with more authentic and tastier dishes. We have nothing against the restaurant, as you see I've given 5 stars because nothing was bad enough for it to deserve 4, but I couldn't help but notice these small things, because we went in with high expectations. I hope this review helped you get an idea of the place~ I recommend it if you don't mind spending a bit of ££ and are looking for a more special, but casual asian place to eat. (The above cost us £59 +tip, no service charge is added to the bill automatically.)

Thrice in two weeks I popped my Wagamama bubble. The food was very nice. Plenty of options to suit everyone. It arrives haphazardly which is cool, you might get your main when your buddy gets his starter, it's all good. The billing system is very clever and allows online billing from the details scribbled on your table mats. You can split bills, add tips etc. A clever format. 👍

Editing to add its been a week and I've not had a reply to my official complaint. I guess they really really don't care. I am so sad to write this review but I hope it reaches my fellow queue waiters on NYE. I have submitted an official complaint but the short of it was we waited 1 hour and 15 mins for a table at an almost empty restaurant before giving up and leaving. One staff member cried. One was rude and abrasive when questioned (she was also a minor so I appreciate she should not have been put in that situation) and absolutely no reason was given to the many of us stood waiting for a table. Initially I was told 25/30 mins wait that was passed on from another customer. One man was the ring leader of the complaining and he had been waiting far longer than we had and for god knows how long afterwards. The restaurant was empty, the staff doing nothing apart from the slowest cleaning of tables I've ever seen. The chefs bored and eventually giving up and removing their whites. If I was guessing I'd say the staff wanted to make sure there were no customers in too near to 9pm when they shut, but that's just a guess. Do better wagamamas - your staff and your customers deserve better! On the plus side there was a jolly atmosphere in the queue for most of the time and it was definitely one of the most British experiences I've had in a while. I hope some of you eventually got in and got food. We went next door to Nandos which was rammed but they sat us within 10 mins and we had drinks instantly and food 10 mins later. Their staff were running around cleaning tables and doing everything with a smile. I left a hefty tip. If nandos can do it, wags can too I'm sure!

Incredibly rude manager! I made a request since I’m intolerant to an item that was in my dish and asked if they could remove it instead but I just got shut off saying that they can’t do it and the manager was very dismissive with my request and didn’t even try to help! Won’t be coming back! As a company I think you should rethink about what kind of managers you have running the store as you’re clearly just gonna lose customers!

Clearly this business cares not a jot about the customer experience. One imagines they are too big and are making too much to care, so nothing changes. The service is hit and miss. If you are lucky to get a server who actually gives a flip it’s fine. Order taken, meal comes quickly etc. Sadly the vast majority of staff are clearly untrained, uncaring and demotivated so it starts bad and gets worse. Then, if you are lucky enough to actually get good (and on a couple of occasions we haven’t or gave up waiting) it is such a disappointment. Bland, bland and bland. The complete opposite of what Asian food should be about. Whether it’s a noodle or a rice dish it tastes the same - of nothing. The protein - chicken or prawn particularly has the consistency of damp cardboard but with less taste than cardboard. Look, I get it. Huge chain, industrial model, tight margins so volume matters. Run by accountants. But they must be the only restaurant business who genetically modify all the taste OUT of their food! Horrible.

Katie and Freya at the Crawley restaurant were wonderful and attentive and made the evening great after a very very long drive from the Yorkshire. Very friendly and allowed our daughter to play lego at the table which helped calm her nerves. Food was superb, as it was the previous visit. Toilets clean and the whole place was well looked after. We will visit again.

Lovely atmosphere waitress was brilliant Tea cold but waitress sorted straight away, main meal served before starter with meals not being served together Laski sauce was cold with very little seasoning, plates were all stone cold so that's why the food was cold? Maybe? come on guys these are basic catering skills. Lid on condiment (red sauce which looked like chili oil but thankfully was very weak) flew off and smothered my food - I mean covered it! I called another waitress (not ours) and she just laughed! my meal should have been replaced! I had to ask her to take the sauce bottle away in case it happened to another customer- here's betting it ended going back out on the tables. Our Birthday guest eventually got his meal with apologies from the Manager? These are truly all constructive criticisms which i hope will help to provide a better customer experience for everyone in the future - fudge cake was to die for!

popped in for a family lunch, appeared quite busy. We were seated in an alcove at the front and then I think we were forgotten. Drinks order was taken which took a while then ordered the mains. We know that they do not come together but the gap between dishes coming was unacceptable. One of the 5 had finished their meal and the other 3 were almost finished when the final mains dish arrived. Was not asked if we wanted more drinks or desserts. Finally caught someones attention to pay the bill and leave. This is the worst Wagamama we have been too for service

So I am sharing an experience on a Monday at 6pm, with just 8 other orders / tables present. It was a slow service, and the Bao starters came about 10 mins after the main meals. I with say they were tasty and the Duck Donburi was wonderful. How I wish I ordered the same as my wife! Drinks took almost 10 mins to arrive, a draught beer and a cloudy lemonade. When my Pad Thai meal came, I noticed it’s portion size was small. Upon investigating the meat content, it must have been for a child. I took this up with a server who asked how our meals were, and he brought his manager along. He stated he wasn’t enough and it would return ‘with twice the meat’ this one had. Seeing the second image, you can see almost no difference between them. The manager clearly changed his mind and said the meal would come off the bill, but it certainly ensures I would never order Pad Thai again, something I always did when visiting over the years. I just add our Bao buns and the Duck Donburi were superb, so the low rating is for the wait, the experience and the significant let down the meal was. We paid via the app and left swiftly, and will likely avoid this experience again in the near future.

Second time going to Wagamama’s and it was pretty good. The food was better than expected as the first time wasn’t that great. The restaurant is really nice inside with a good atmosphere. The only thing what was a bit annoying was the service as they weren’t too busy but it did take a very long time to get served. The other small strange thing was the serving methods was the main course came before the sides and neither side or main was together, but overall not too bad and I would probably go back sometime.

Friday evening 29th September and we visited this restaurant for dinner, which is located in Crawley Leisure Park. The restaurant chain has always been a firm favourite, although we had not been been for a while we were therefore looking forward to the experience. On arrival were shown table, a long bench table with padded stools. Some tables had wooden bench seats. There were a few small booths here as well. We ordered two large bottles Asahi dry beer, £7.80 each,  as well as two Chilli Chicken Ramens £13.80 each. While we waited for our food it was an opportunity to look around at the decor and lighting, which was rather creative. When our food was served it was rather disappointing, the chicken breast was tough and overcooked. The dish was bulked out with soggy noodles along with sprinklings of spring onions, chilli and bean sprouts. The broth was was lightly seasoned. It  certainly was not the meal that we were expecting. We paid the the via the QR Code, it all came to £43.20 which we considered expensive for what we got and the quality.

The place was quite busy when we came but it didn’t hinder for quick service. The pork bun and prawn skewer was served deliciously plus the mains beef brisket ramen and salmon with salad indeed never fails the beautiful taste. It also took over 1 hour to receive 4 dishes. 1 main took 15mins the second was after 45 minutes and then 2 sides after an hour. If you don't mind waiting ridiculously long for food, then this place is for you. I , on the other hand, will not be recommending this branch of wagamamas to anyone.

Thought we’d try Wagamamas again with friends after our dreadful experiences previously. However instantly regretted it as nothing has changed. We visited on the first day of the school holidays and when two big blockbuster films had just been realised at the cinema next door, so you would have expected the restaurant to be prepared for an influx of customers - they were not. They were so many empty tables available on arrival, yet we were left waiting about 20 minutes at the door despite being told it was around a 10 minute wait for the 4 of us. I presume it was due to them being so understaffed that they weren’t filling the restaurant. Once seated we had to wait even longer to be served and as some of our party had food allergies, we had to then wait further for a manager to take our order. It took 20 minutes for our drinks to make their way to our table, despite watching them sit on the bar getting warm for ages. Our table wasn’t laid with any utensils so once our food started coming out we had to try and get a servers attention, which was difficult as there was such a lack of staff. I do appreciate Wagamamas bring out the food as and when it is cooked, however one of our party was left without her meal for a good 10 minutes after the rest of us had finished ours, and all our starters came out after our mains. We tried to pay online as they push you to do so and our order wasn’t there which prompted us again to try and track down a server to pay our bill. Overall, we were there an hour and a half, which seems an exceptionally long time for a few noodles. It is such a shame we consistently have poor, low service experiences at Wagamama Crawley, as the food is always tasty. After another disappointing trip however I doubt any of us will be returning to the Crawley branch

Sat down waited over 12mins trying to make eye contact with the many staff standing around not overly busy to order..caught eye of one and asked to order...then she proceeded with something else so we..gave up and walked out - shame used to like coming here ..won't bother In future. Makes me wonder why it's not that busy in there...

Really disappointed as to how the service and food standards have fallen here as after covid they were quick to serve and the staff we’re really polite and friendly. I’ve been twice in the last 2 months and feel they don’t have enough staff at peak times to service the number of customers. We waiting over 20 mins before having our drink and food orders taken. 1 side was completely forgotten about until we reminded them when we were almost finished our mains. The chicken katsu, my chicken was still pink in areas, the chicken yakitori was extremely salty and difficult to eat off the skewers and the plate for the buns was dirty and sticky. I love Wagamama but I sadly will not be returning the Crawley branch

A nice quiet place for lunch. Gets busier and noisier for dinner as with most places, but music isn't super obnoxious. Accessability: The entrance is level access with wide airlock style doors. They are not automatic, but aren't too heavy and I've been offered help quickly by staff. There are some disabled parking spaces right near the entrance, but disabled parking is limited for the complex and accessability through the rest of the carpark isn't great. If you rely on disabled parking you may find there isn't space at times. The disabled toilet is through the restaurant and at busy times could be a bit awkward to get to. It's through a standard door into the toilet area and then has a large sliding door. There is free space next to the toilet and a large area for turning. There are some benches that aren't fixed and can be moved out of he way for wheelchair users. I'm not sure if there are any tables with multiple moving benches so wheelchair users can sit facing eachother. There are no table legs on the floor under the table so I am able to pull myself under fully in my wheelchair without issue. There is a sort of shelf running under the middle of the table which might require a bit of caution form some chair users, but was not in the way for me. The tables are a bit higher than average but I still find they are comfortable to eat from. General: Everybody I've been with thinks the seats are incredibly uncomfortable. Most of the benches are fixed in place so can be awkward for larger people, people who can't easily step over or around a bench etc. Almost none of the seats have backrests. Service and food has been good every time. Do be aware that food is served whenever it's ready so some people may get their food at different times. Occasionally we've had quite a long wait between people's meals. There's a good selection of vegan options, including drinks and deserts. Vegan options are clearly marked on the menu. Staff have a tablet with allergen information to check if a person with allergies is ordering. Portion sizes are good and it's easy to get take out containers for leftovers. Payment is possible via card machine or through your phone using a QR code.

Greeted with a warm friendly face, but unfortunately we waited 15 minutes before walking out. We had no one come over to introduce themselves or even take a drinks order. Two other tables were seated after mine and had their orders taken. The staff to customer ratio didn’t seem too busy. I’m assuming they were cleaning up after the afternoon rush. When we left the hostess said goodbye she was lovely, but the customer service wasn’t the best by the team. The gentleman who was cleaning and turning tables asked the second table if they had been served and they had not and were then served, I tried to get the waiters attention after but he did not see me. My first time visiting and I will likely not be going again.

We love the food at Wagamama. It looks great and tastes amazing. However, having visited several locations, Crawley is one of the worst for staffing. Our order arrived incorrect. Our drinks were brought another three times after having received them. The staff seem lost and hanging around as numerous dishes sit under hot lamps waiting to be taken to tables. Tables were waiting to be cleared. The entrance doors were held open making the restaurant cold. We asked to move but were told no. Please sort this restaurant out. There is direct competition at this location and Wagamama Crawley is trading on the backs of others.

Not that great. 2 stars is for the main meal. Ok I've been going to wagamamas for at least 15 years in various locations. And it used to be quite good. Unfortunately ive found the Crawley branch to be the absolute worst. Been there a few times now and although the wait staff are brilliant the quality of the food just declines. We paid for 3 soft drinks 2 appetisers and 3 main meals came up to £76. So for that price you would think that the food would be good. Just a shame that they are compromising on their menu. Won't be frequenting this establishment anymore.

Today was my auntie and I’s 3rd time here, we usually enjoy it so much but there were a few down sides. 1) The service was terrible. Started off with my aunties HOT green tea being poured all over her, her shoes and all over the table. We were offered the chance to move AFTER he climbed under our table on all fours and tried cleaning with napkins, NOT proper cleaning equipment. The staff don’t ask you questions, you just say what you want, and they leave. They don’t go over the order, incase it’s wrong. 2) The chicken was pink, bear in mind we were the first people in and it wasn't busy at all! When the food comes it’s smacked in front of you and they walk off, no “enjoy your meal” or “would you like anything else” comments like this. 3) Finally, we have to scan and pay, which is obviously something some people don’t like to do, and nobody came to check that we wanted to pay by the card machine instead.. Won’t be visiting again, so upsetting to see such a popular restaurant franchise have appalling staff!

I was really excited about coming here for lunch with my niece. We were first through the door and the welcome was not great. Waiter took our order and when he arrived with drinks he spilt full cup of hot green tea completely over the table and all over my leg and boots. Not overly concerned I am now sat there with hot tea burning my leg. Napkins were given to ME to clean up. This is utterly despicable customer service. Not sure if he is the manager as not a name badge on any staff member!!! Then the food turned up. The waitress just dumped my nieces food on the table. My dish was Donburi teriyaki chicken. Chicken was pink shrivelled pea shoots and cold. Did not return it as staff were giving dirty looks. I sadly will not return to this restaurant again. Bitterly disappointed .
