Took over 1 hour over the original time food came cold and the large chips did not arrive so I called them and asked where is my order and they were rude and kept saying will be 5 mins and turned up 20 minutes later freezing cold

anyone rating this buisness lower then 4 stars is lying and not genuine, i ordered the other day despite the low rating as i could tell this buisness (bought by a new owner) is trying to redeem a okd history not even responsible to there future. I ordered a donner kebab, donner wrap and a kinder beuno shake, the kebab was absolutely lovely not greasy not dry just perfect finally a meal i could eat and not feel awful about after and the milkshake was absolutely delicious i couldn’t fault it! everything about this buisness is what every other company should take in comparison on hard working and a genuine care towards their customers, well done guys keep up the good work you’ve got a frequent customer!

I’m not usually one to leave a bad review, and I will say we’ve had decent food from here once before, but after tonight’s ordeal I cannot stay silent. The kebab was passable and the chips tasted like they’d been sat around since lunch but nothing can compare to the breaded chicken strips. I’d of had an easier time eating the sole of my shoe. I started this meal with a double chin and finished with a sharp jawline. This is our emergency takeaway so we only ordered because we had nothing else to eat, however I wish I’d of stuck with my ‘jars at the back of the fridge’ tapas idea. I struggled through two chicken strips before I decided to give up lest I get lockjaw with a mouthful of deep fried rubber. Unless you enjoy chewing every mouthful for 5 minutes to make it somewhat swallowable, I suggest you do not get the chicken strips. However this could have been a one off, left over from lunch situation and the milkshakes are delicious so order at your own risk.

I ordered my food at 8.45, it came at 10.45. It was supposed to come at 9.45, so it was over an hour late. I called the resteraunt several times and they lied about the order time. In addition, the food was cold, the wrap had paper in so I had to take it apart and eat a WRAP with a knife and fork. I had this from just eat a few weeks ago and was refused a refund, however this time round there is no way I’m not having a refund as the service this time was even worse.

The food came in time but it was horrible. We ordered a mixed kebab meal, a chicken Donna meat with chips and a Dr.Pepper. The nicest thing was the Dr. Perrier! Chips were soggy and the kebabs themselves were horrendously bad. They got chucked in the bin.

Arrived 20 mins late, food was cold by time it arrived, decent size but the lamb meat could be more flavoured.

Food arrived late, said it was here when it wasn’t and then when I opened it up it was cold and items missing

It was delivered in the timeframe indicated but took a while from ordering to delivery. Lovely tasty food, fresh kebab meat, will order again. Thank you.

I ordered 2 kebabs, one large lamb donner and one small lamb donner. The large donner had the long strips of meat, the small had small scraps of meat. wasn't nice. chips were cold burnt and very greasy. ended up in the bin. disappointed, have had better from here, and expect much better for my money

The manager AJ is absolute legend, food always bangs, drinks always cold, service always quick super chatty employees and such nice vibes.

This is the best takeaway peri peri chicken I've had for a long time. The chicken was fresh, cooked to perfection and tasted amazing. The chips also tasted nice and were cooked well. The burger and garlic sauce were good. Great customer service, very polite and friendly. Highly recommend.

My experience wasn’t great the lad working there couldn’t speak English , and I ordered chicken strips which costs £6.50 and they were absolutely tiny. Not worth the money at all, rip off.

Received a bag of oil. Both chicken doners were black! Chips are dry and not fresh at all. Asked for a refund and threw in the bin. So greasy. Shocking.

Our food was literally microwaved even though I specifically requested for fresh cut lamb donner. One of the guys was very ashamed when he saw me outside watching what they were doing. Avoid at all costs.

We have been having village grill literally most nights for the last 5 yrs AJ the owner is amazing and the food is just TOO AMAZING WE always order the whole chicken peri peri, the fries are most delicious I must say, and the chicken burgers and curly fries are insane! The salad is my very thing and I get it with every order and none of it…, literllay NONE could I fault x The most amazing amazing amazing food ever and soooo reasonably priced…. We have everything for a family of 4 (with 2 very hungry boys) for under £25! Xxx seriously can’t recommend it enough and ya some staff can be grumpy (sorry AJ ) but just ask for AJ and please please please do t let it affect the voice of food as it’s truly exceptional xx as in …, possibly beyond exceptional..,, for the price they charge x amazing I guess and here to another daily order for ANOTHER 5 yrs. xxxx

My order took over 2 hours to arrive, and to try make up for it they gave me 2 free milkshakes but I don’t even like milkshake

An hour late and Luke warm. Blasted it in the oven, wasn't great but gave me the impression if it was hot it would have been fantastic. The delivery guy laughed when I said it was an hour late, ha ha.

Awful people. Do not order from here! Took 2 hours to deliver and then didn’t provide the whole meal. Charge £7.50 for 1 wrap and no chips and drink as stated on JUST EAT. Then argued over the phone and complained about their energy bill. 0 customer service skills and will never order from here again. So disappointed. Call themselves a halal place but have no values or care for the customers.

Got a cheese burger meal. Burger was tasty. Fries were ok oil in fryer needs to be changed. The burger meal comes in a chicken an chips box rather then a burger box which makes the shop seem cheap. Because u hardly get any fries and the burger gets squashed.

Unfortunately couldn’t finish my food. It had a strange cinnamon favour to it which completely over powering( I understand seasoning but this doesn’t taste right) and the chicken doner was grizzly almost like minced chicken and had big chunks of bones. Inedible. Also the meals were large sizes and only got a hand full of chips.Didn’t eat it and had to cook after all! Something I was trying to avoid after a heavy day. Won’t order again

Lamb donner kebab meal. No pitta bread. And the meat was on top of the chip. There was so much grease the chips were soggy and sat in so much fat they were congealed when it went cold. The chicken strips I ordered for my daughter were so dry and chewy, I tasted them and it was like eating rubber. Won’t be ordering from here again! Waist of money

Delicious food, especially the whole peri peri chicken, juicy and packed with flavour. Great friendly service. I made enquires regarding food allergies (nuts and soya) , the manager could not have been more helpful. I’ve ordered a few times from this restaurant and food has been average. Each time they charge me for Ben & Jerry’s ice cream but send an awful slice of chocolate cake. They do call u to tell u but shout down the phone and don’t give you the option of a refund. Take it off your menu if you don’t have it!
