Highly recommend this restaurant. Amazing place that is beautifully decorated, delicious food and great service that is attentive. Portion of rice is small tho. Otherwise, me and my partner enjoyed very much.

If you want reasonable Indian food for a big loud party, when you're in a rush, then this is the place to come. If you want great food, a chilled vibe and feel like your custom is important, I probably wouldn't bother. It's just a bit of a conveyor belt, party place these days.

Butter chicken masala was the best I’ve ever tasted, and the garlic naan was to die for!!!

Pretty fun place to go. A bit cramped as everyone is sat very close together like a tin of sardines (assumed they learnt nothing from Covid) but I guess it adds to the atmosphere. It was very hot inside when we went in early April so they didn't think to turn on air con being at max capacity. Food was nicely done. Nothing spectacular or innovative but well cooked and decent size proportions. Having said that their lamb saag was done very well. Very soft lamb and well spiced spinach. Definitely give it a go!

First visit for me, food was excellent but our drink orders kept getting forgotten and we had to ask several times. 10 of us squashed onto a table for 8 which made it a very squashed experience. Felt a bit rushed to get us in and out as quickly as possible. Booked well in advance but had to wait over 20 minutes for our table. Restaurant is decorated really nicely and there was a good atmosphere but not sure I will return.

The best indian restaurant you could ever eat at. The staff are excellent, friendly and welcoming and always great you with a snillie with them creating the prefect atmosphere. I've been coming here now at least every two weeks for past few months Special shout to the Prince of Nepal as they call him there The food is always cooked to perfection and gets to you very fast it's quite literally the best and healthy fast food you can get. The taste is beyond this world their combination of spice is truly a mircale to behold and will cause your taste buds to dance in heavenly delight. You can never go wrong with urban tandoor

Me and my friends wanted to try Urban Tandoor after a recommendation from my parents so popped in for a meal before a gig. Best decision ever. Food was incredible, staff incredibly friendly and the overall atmosphere and presentation of the restaurant is very beautiful.

Made to wait 10-15 minutes, then told no table unless booked, third pair in queue taken in and seated even though they also hadn't booked......would not recommend due to poor customer service.

The staff are just as advertised, so lovely and friendly. We got a free chocolate cake for being fans and it was delicious. I ordered the Jalfrezi and it was amazing, the meat was excellent and it was just the perfect level of spice. Definitely would go again.

The food was so good, the service was incredible, we got a shout out and a dessert and mimosas on the house for celebrating our anniversary! Prices are extremely reasonable and the atmosphere is very lively. Best dining experience I had in a while! No wonder it was so busy on a Monday night at 8.30pm. The tiktok memes are also excellent. A+, I'll come back for sure when I'm in Bristol next time.

After along hectic month had a chance to go Bristol for quick holiday and ended up in a very good atmosphere and amazing restaurant. Loved the food specially Naga Chicken and Kashmiri Roghan Josh. We had travelled to Bristol for a show, and having seen a lot about this restaurant online and on TikTok, we booked to eat here beforehand. We had booked a table for 4:30pm, but due to traffic on the motorway, I contacted the restaurant to say we were running late and would it be possible to move the booking to 5pm, to which they responded saying- yes, see you at 5pm. When we arrived, at 4:55pm, we waited in the queue at the door/ reception, the person who then greeted us couldn't seem to find our booking, they eventually found it, but it seemed to have been crossed through. They said that they could accommodate us but that they'd need the table back by 6pm. I said would an hour be enough for us to order, be served and eat etc., they said that we'd be served within 10 minutes, which I found odd and said we would probably leave it, as we didn't want to rush and wouldn't expect the preparing of the food to be rushed etc, they then said that it wouldn't be an issue that they could offer some flexibility with time, so we agreed and waited to be seated. We were then led back outside to another side entrance, and seated at the back of a very narrow, darnly lit restaurant, that seemed half empty. The waitress, who was friendly, took our drinks order and an initial order for poppadoms. In the interim, I used the ladies' toilet, which unfortunately was filthy, there was stuff all over the floor and dirty hand marks over the door, it did not appear to have been checked/ cleaned for a while. When the waitress returned with the drinks and poppadoms, we noted that plates and cutlery were stacked at the side of each table, and all tables had dips etc already laid out, not covered in any way. As we picked the plates up, they were sticky. Taking a closer look, all plates on the table were filthy, as were many of the knives and forks. We mentioned this to the waitress and she apologised and took the plates away, but we were then not offered any clean plates or cutlery. We looked to see if there were any available on the empty tables around us, but they too were not clean. Taking a closer look at what we'd been served, the poppadoms (which are not served warm and are halved) were served in a wicker style basket that was chipped and cracked. Generally, we accept that a busy restaurant may not always be immaculate, that mistakes happen but do expect basic hygiene. I understand that this restaurant has a 5 in regards to hygiene, however our visit really did not reflect this, it felt like cleanliness, hygiene and attention to detail were really lacking. We asked the waitress for the bill for our drinks, which we hadn't really touched, and explained that we would not be ordering food for the reasons above, the waitress did apologise and was friendly. We went to the bar, and one of the men who greeted us said that we wouldn't be charged for the drinks, again they were friendly. We had really looked forward to this visit, given the great reviews and reception online, but, unfortunately, it was extremely disappointing and we would not return.

Very quirky restaurant and a good experience. They are well known for their online cover songs. The menu is somewhat small, and traditional options are limited. The food was good, but slightly lacking. It was served incredibly quickly, which made us question how freshly cooked it was. Unfortunately the service felt slightly rushed, like they were keen to have a quick turnover. Nevertheless, it was a good experience, but could easily be improved.

This was just a random pick for our first night in Bristol. The food was very good. We were able to walk in without a reservation, but it was Monday night so I'd secure a reservation on busier nights.

This has nothing to do with the food as we didn’t actually get to try anything. My partner and I booked a table 3 weeks in advance. As we are moving out of the area we wanted a final date night in Bristol. Despite making a booking far in advance, we arrived to a huge line going out the door. That’s fine, it’s a Saturday night and I assume people had showed up without a reservation and needing a table. However, the 2 of us, plus the 3 large groups of around 7+ people, were stood in the waiting area for around 30 minutes. Turns out, they had no tables! Despite us all making reservations. Look, this is nothing against the food or the staff, but please get your act together when it comes to reservations. You were clearly overbooked and overcapacity, the staff also seemed very overwhelmed. Looking for somewhere else to eat on a busy Saturday night was is very difficult without a reservation, and we were left to go home with empty stomachs. Please do better.

Accidentally turned up 20 minutes late but they still sat us without an issue. The staff were lovely and always helped us. My mate had a naan bread accidentally thrown at him but they quickly went and cooked us a new one. Food is incredible and so is the service. Would recommend to anyone.

Odd little place that seemed to have many different entrances that were blocked off...its like playing guess the door. Anyways; when you walk in, you feel like you've grown a few feet due to how low the ceilings are. It does then open up, but into a really dark, dimly lit restaurant. It took my eyes a second...or 5...to adjust. So we had poppadoms and their chutney trays to start. I've never seen poppadoms an oval shape before, but they tasted the same. Chutney tray selection was of four and consisted of; mango and beetroot chutney (this was really nice and the beetroot gave it an amazing colour), mint sauce (not as sweet as normal Indian mint sauce but edible), spicy pickle (ok) and some veg chutney (again, just ok). I ordered a chicken dansak and a peshwari nan. Let's start with the curry...definitely not what I ordered. The chicken was just boiled flavourless chicken that seemed to have been added as something extra to the sauce. The sauce was lacking flavour. Lentils had just been thrown in, really. This isn't what a dansak is and definitely not as described on their menu. Peshwari nan was pleasant, but again, seemed to lack coconut flavour. The spread wasn't too bad inside. Overall, the food was OK, but nothing to really rave about. What I ordered is quite a common dish in Indian restaurants so disappointed they couldn't get that right. My colleagues, however, they did enjoy their meals a little more. Personally, I wouldn't go back. But, the service and atmosphere isn't bad, and for social events could be a nice place to catch up. Honestly could not recommend more. Partner and I went there because of their TikTok and kept expectations low, but were blown away by the service. Our waitress was so friendly and attentive, the food was one of the best curries we’ve had and we will definitely be returning.

OMG by far the best Indian cuisine I’ve ever had, I’ve been going to the curry mile for years in Manchester but this place is in a different league A*****

We enjoyed our meal. All very typically indian with poor lighting and OTT interior decorations. The tables are very close together which made it tricky for the staff but they were excellent. In my mind our three different curries had basically the same sauce but it was still tasty and more than ticked the box.

I couldn't say anything more!! It was absolutely amazing. The staff were lovely, the atmosphere was great, the food was incredible, and i even got a little rose, and a valentines card because its valentines day. There were so many little finishing touches that brought it all together like the heart balloons, the fairy lights, the candles, it was very intimate and romantic. I had prawn tikka masala and Peshwari naan with Pilau rice, and the poppadom tray, everything was just spot on. Well done urban tandoor, thoroughly impressed!!!

Visited on a Wednesday night with work colleagues. We booked a table which was probably a wise move - the restaurant was very busy. We ordered a range of dishes including Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Madras and Butter Chicken - along with sides. All of the food was delicious. Service was excellent, even though it was very busy. The atmosphere was great. A great experience - highly recommended!

Went with some work colleagues. Ordered onion bhajis, samosa chaat, biryani and chicken karahi. Only complaint was that the big chunks of onions in the karahi were literally separated from the rest of the dish - they should have been dissolved into it and barely noticeable. Reasonably priced, good service (although the staff need to wear uniforms, there was one waiter who looked like he was going to the beach afterwards), and nice decor. Recommended.

I should not even give one star here. Very arrogant staff. They never take your booking at the first place. And when after ages you get the table, the service is terrible. Portion size is small as well. Very limited veg options.

Stylish and delicious food, well presented and with impeccable service, especially considering that we walked in without a reservation. We found it a bit loud but we’re older, so I’m guessing that the vibe suits a slightly younger customer…..best vegetable samosas I’ve had! Awesome Malabar Lamb with lemon rice.

One of our regular haunts. Food is beautiful. Tonight was bitterly cold, and the constant coming and going from delivery people was a distraction and let in the cold, which made the experience less wonderful than it usually is.

My wife and I came with some friends to celebrate our wedding. The food was simply excellent (all of the dishes were top notch), but the service made the event unforgivable. Special mention for Raghu who took such good care of the entire group and made this a day to remember. We will definitely be back not only for the excellent food, but for such excellent service as well! Thank you all so much!
