Exceptional food, polite, friendly and professional staff. I cannot recommend this place enough! The Jalfreezi is divine

Came in with family, excellent food and service and food came quickly and was very tasty. I recommend the Kadai Paneer! We did think the restaurant was a bit dark tho.

A very lucky find - fabulous menus, food was amazing and service first class. Place was packed mid week but they found us a table as we were walk ins. Could not fault at all.

I am always impressed by the quality of the food and the precision of the cooking. Tonight was no exception, the food was divine. Great service, great atmosphere, thank you.

First time here for dinner while visiting Bristol. Food was fabulous, all the dishes were lovely and the masala was one of the best I’ve had (and I’ve had a few!). Atmosphere was lively in a good way and they have screens between the tables which allows for a degree of privacy. Service was spot on too. In short couldn’t fault it and will be returning when we’re next in Bristol.

First time in bristol as a student and wanted to try out a restaurant nearby and wow it was actually so good. not sure about the price since im not too familiar with prices in the uk but i ordered to garlic naans and a curry which came in large portions. Total was £17. honestly it was rlly good 😋🤤

Great place from second in door. Friendly staff found me a table although I hadn't booked; didn't realise it was so busy though. Perfectly cooked chicken. Relaxed atmosphere and very well priced. Would definitely recommend.

The place is very popular, and they cram you in some tables especially the one we were on was very cramped, very dark there is atmospheric lighting and there is dark this was dark. Food was okay if not remarkable. Standard fair.

Super friendly staff. We got a table for 2 on a Friday night around 7pm without a booking (lucky). Great food came promptly despite lots of large groups ordering around us. Lovely veggie food. Just how we like it! Thank you!

Food was terrible. Too bad the ambience and service could not make up for the terrible food. If you're looking for Indian food: stay away. The combination of spices just didn't work. Seasoning was so so. It was fine in one dish. Was not in the other. Lack of seasoning is fine. But lack of just taste is unfortunately not forgivable considering it costs £60.

Loved it. Had to be quick because we hadn't booked on a Saturday night but they got us in and fed in an hour and a half. Lovely fresh tasting food not drowning in grease. A top curry

We went for a friend's birthday, lovely food and service. I think the food's on the spicy side, Which was fine for us.

Server was excellent, attentive, funny, engaging and knowledgeable. Sorry I can't remember their name but he was Portuguese. Food was plentiful and extremely tasty. Yhe vegan menu was more than adequate and even included Indian bread which is highly unusual for an Indian restaurant. Thank you! The atmosphere was fun with singing of popular songs whole making funny congratulations to patrons. Unusual and different.

Nothing great, not bad just average. Bit over priced fancy bowls, but even they did not match.

Fabulous vibes, amazing and friendly staff. I had so much fun plus the food is super delicious. The butter chicken is a must and the appetiser also incredible. I will definitely come back again. I recommend everyone to come here, they will not regret it.

Excellent food - I still have to fault any of their dishes. The Goan fish curry is so yummy. The only drawback is that it gets really noisy, especially with the music for celebrations (birthday, stag do,...)

Not what it used to be. Staff not so attentive and having to wait or remind them for drinks and food. Very cramped. They have expanded the restaurant but also tried to get to many chairs and tables in. Sadly the menu is a lot smaller also. Nice but has slipped down the ratings for Bristol curry house. Better out there now.

This place has a lively buzz to it on a Friday night with a friendly atmosphere .. its warm decor and low lighting with just a scatter of rosy lights gives it a romantic feel ... the waiter was attentive and relatable and went the extra mile he enjoys workin there and it added to the whole dining experience ..now for the food ..ive tried a lot of Indians and my fave is the dansak which is a hard one to get right with the hot sweet and sour depths to it and they nailed it .. and the beef sukka was exceptional also the naans are light n slightly crispy which I prefer then dough heavy...very clean fresh ingredients unique recipes great portions and happy to cater with any food allergies 👌👌👌

Excellent food and service last night! Probably the best Indian dining experience I've had in Bristol so far. As it was for my birthday they also gave me a couple of freebies on the house which was a nice touch! Staff were extremely friendly and would recommend this to anyone. Will definitely be back.

Exciting ambience with elegant decoration and warm welcome from manager and the staff. Really nice restaurant, far beyond the typical Indian. The food was outstanding with a refined choice of dishes. The service was excellent too. Very helpful in advising on the choice of the dishes.

They had a separate vegan menu, which was a good start. The side dishes were good. However, I ordered Vege vindaloo (my standard order) and it was not good. Potatoes under cooked. There was way too much cinnamon. This makes it feel hotter, a lot hotter, without doing anything for the flavour. I did get it changed on the head waiter's offer and the chef came out to apologise, but the second attempt was no better... Still undercooked potatoes and still the wrong combination with cinnamon 'false' heat. A shame. If you decide to try this place, avoid the vindaloo.

We booked this restaurant for our wedding anniversary and it didn't disappoint. The food was really delicious and well presented for example garnished with real edible flowers. The waiter Carlos was very lovely, friendly, helpful and attentive. He provided outstanding service and made us feel special on our date night. Thank you!

Excellent Indian food with really tasty main. The staff were friendly and the whole experience was enjoyable. Particularly enjoyed their breads that were light and flavorsome. Highly recommend for great tasting food and will be trying their sister restaurant Urban kohinoor at some point too.

The best thing about this restaurant... It's an incredibly difficult toss up between the amazing food, and the unbelievably attentive wait staff. We did not feel rushed at all, in fact we slowly sipped our way through two bottles of wine while sampling some of the best Indian food we've tasted in the UK. Make the journey to come here it's a delightful experience.

Service not gd and items not there

If I could give 0 stars I would. Absolutely shocking service with the rudest staff I have ever encountered. For an hour I was told "it's on it's way". Then when it was delivered after I stood on the main road with no street lamps, the gentleman said I was "too far" that's why it was over an hour late. I will NEVER be returning to this take away again. Genuinely shocked at how this place is still open. Food was then cold when it did turn up.

The food was fine, although they were 45 mins late. I pre-ordered at 4:30 giving 4 hours from ordering to the time the food was meant to be delivered. I am very disappointed with this shocking service.

Had the meal for one, really good value for money. Although the chicken balti isn't really to my taste I'd order the meal again and possibly change it for a different curry. Food was really hot & delivered on time.

Took nearly 2 hours to arrive, and was only delivered when I phoned up and chased it, person on phone said would be free as an apology then delivery man demanded paying. Food was average at best, will never eat here again.

Apart from the meal being a good temperature the meal was awful!! The onion bahjis were rock hard, garlic naan had no garlic, the Baltic dish was not spicy at all and had gristly bits of chicken in it!! The massala had a very odd taste, more than half the food has been thrown away! If I was served this in a restaurant I would expect a full refund!!!!

Overall great meal apart from the onion bhajis which were a bit small anf hard,

I ordered a lamb madras but all I got was sauce and rice. When I phoned them up to try and receive a replacement, I was passed on to three different people who all said it did have lamb it. I also ordered some onion bajis but they were cold and chewy. They also delivered 20 minutes late.

Waited ages to arrive. Said they rung twice but I had no call. No curry sauce delivered with biriyani so very dry. Not the best.
