Quality, authentic indo-british curries. The service is fantastic, bring your own booze with a small corkage fee is another plus, making the restaurant even greater value. I ate 2 curries a naan and a pilau rice and can confirm without a doubt that is enough food for 2 people, although I should've stopped when I felt full, the flavour was too incredible to stop!

We were dissapointed by a local rival of this place won’t name any names (Asian spicy). We turn up to this fine restaurant starving, desiring the perfect curry and wow. WE WERE NOT DISAPPOINTED We arrived with 17 of us and they welcomed us with open arms and provided us with the best curry I have ever tasted in my life. I couldn’t wipe the smile off my face while indulging in my lamb korma with a pilau rice. Every mouthful gave me a different sensation which made me question the food that I have been eating all my life The question is. Would I come back here? The answer is as clear as day. I would come here over any Indian restaurant in the world and I am delighted to say that I have experienced this once in a lifetime opportunity.

I've been enjoying their cooking since 1995. Only good neighbourhood restaurants last that long. Great food, great value. The thali is excellent and will fill you up. I'd never had a Salt Lassi before, I really enjoyed it. The pickles that come with the poppadoms are the best I can remember having anywhere.

Lemon rice was delicious. I think their pickle is made from scratch cause it was incredible. The lamb celyon was nice and tender.

The new improved Indian Fast Food had a lot to live up to but it really does the job. Perfect curry in an unpretentious environment. Will continue to be an all-time favourite

It's worth noting that they currently don't accept credit cards, although you can pay by bank transfer. Also note that there is a BYO corkage charge of £1.95 per person.

Not quite the same since it changed from being Indian Fast Food. Reviews on here from before summer 2024 are referring to the former establishment run by different people.

Once Indian Fast Food, this new and refurbished curry house manages, incredibly, to produce better food than most of its competitors while representing better value for money. The dishes are aromatic and unique, while still being rooted in reliable tradition. The service is very personable, charming and warm. They will remember you and treat you well. I highly recommend.

Updating my review. Restaurant is now under new management and the food is nowhere near what it used to be. Bland, oily and overcooked meat and the delivery was far later than estimated. Sadly will have to try somewhere new.

food was over hr late. just opened 2 dishes and they're empty. tried phoning restaurant and got cut off twice. what a shambles. over half food missing.

I feel as if it has changed hands or the chef has changed because our last few have been nowhere near as good as before. So sad. Still an OK curry but we won’t return 💔

Khan was a really friendly man to talk to. Personally he deserves a pay rise due to his hospitality and his commitment in to welcoming us into this restaurant, when we were lost in the area. Hopefully we bump into him in the future.

Always on time, one of the dishes was warm, all rest were toasty hot. Great prices, good portion size. Third or fourth meal from them in recent weeks.

Best Indian on Gloucester Road by a mile!! Also amazing prices. Always our go to for a curry. They also do a £6 curry and rice deal which is the most amazing value!!

After such a glowing review I left for the last order, this one was one was terrible 😭 soggy chips, bland saag aloo, and thd garlic/chilli masala was so tasteless compared to normal chicken tikka masala and barely any of it! for an extra £2+ I'd expect more. disappointed

Cheap and cheerful, good quality home cooked style Indian food on the very mild but well spiced side. Plenty of what taste like good quality ingredients. Not stinting on meat, veg or paneer.

bhuna and chickpea curry was so bland that I had to add spice to the curry when I got home.

Really tasty food that we thoroughly enjoyed and you couldn’t fault. Downside is the environment is really dirty, it needs a good deep clean as it is off putting to see such grime in a restaurant.

I ordered a takeaway from this restaurant twice and the food was tasty and delivered hot which was nice. The price is good - the food containers a bit smaller than I usually get with an Indian food takeaway but a tasty meal. The naan bread was delicious as was the curry. The person I spoke to had a friendly kind manner which made me feel the restaurant was good even before I tasted the food. I would buy food there again. The price reasonable. I did not visit so could not say what is in the restaurant. I will try it probably in the future.

Food is ok the tandoori chicken was good mushroom rice good, but not the best service loud music ruining the dining. If your in here on a busy night be prepared to wait. The real problem was when you come to pay demanding cash and not taking card payments when they clearly have a card machine excuse was we need to pay the delivery drivers 🙄🙄 anyway.... not the most hygienic of places either but if your a student and on a budget it's good. The thing is "oh Calcutta" is next door and it really is next level.
