Great food, great value, great staff. My local go to curry in Bristol!

Updating my review. Restaurant is now under new management and the food is nowhere near what it used to be. Bland, oily and overcooked meat and the delivery was far later than estimated. Sadly will have to try somewhere new.

food was over hr late. just opened 2 dishes and they're empty. tried phoning restaurant and got cut off twice. what a shambles. over half food missing.

I feel as if it has changed hands or the chef has changed because our last few have been nowhere near as good as before. So sad. Still an OK curry but we won’t return 💔

Superb Indian food. Lots of choice which is excellent value. Take your own drinks. Basic decor, tableware etc but you go for the food not the decor. A really good meal.

Khan was a really friendly man to talk to. Personally he deserves a pay rise due to his hospitality and his commitment in to welcoming us into this restaurant, when we were lost in the area. Hopefully we bump into him in the future.

Always on time, one of the dishes was warm, all rest were toasty hot. Great prices, good portion size. Third or fourth meal from them in recent weeks.

Best Indian on Gloucester Road by a mile!! Also amazing prices. Always our go to for a curry. They also do a £6 curry and rice deal which is the most amazing value!!

After such a glowing review I left for the last order, this one was one was terrible 😭 soggy chips, bland saag aloo, and thd garlic/chilli masala was so tasteless compared to normal chicken tikka masala and barely any of it! for an extra £2+ I'd expect more. disappointed

Ordered chicken tandoori and chicken biryani both very bland and tasteless also order was 40 minutes late not recommended.

Curry was spilt which then covered my rice and other food which is disgusting. forgot my large coke bottle which is also vile. horrible service want a refund

After having to call them twice, food eventually turned up at 9.30, 1.5 hours LATE. Above average food, but nothing special, and certainly not worth being screwed around. The free poppadoms as compensation certainly were not worth it!

1.5 hours late is totally unacceptable. We would never order from them again. We'll also forget the estimated times Just-eat give, which are a joke.

Best curry in Bristol. Chicken Tikka Dhansak is my favourite.

Entering my 8th year of eating at IFF, hands down the best curry in Bristol. The chicken tikka dhansak is mana from heaven.

Cheap and cheerful, good quality home cooked style Indian food on the very mild but well spiced side. Plenty of what taste like good quality ingredients. Not stinting on meat, veg or paneer.

bhuna and chickpea curry was so bland that I had to add spice to the curry when I got home.

Really tasty food that we thoroughly enjoyed and you couldn’t fault. Downside is the environment is really dirty, it needs a good deep clean as it is off putting to see such grime in a restaurant.

I ordered a takeaway from this restaurant twice and the food was tasty and delivered hot which was nice. The price is good - the food containers a bit smaller than I usually get with an Indian food takeaway but a tasty meal. The naan bread was delicious as was the curry. The person I spoke to had a friendly kind manner which made me feel the restaurant was good even before I tasted the food. I would buy food there again. The price reasonable. I did not visit so could not say what is in the restaurant. I will try it probably in the future.

Food is ok the tandoori chicken was good mushroom rice good, but not the best service loud music ruining the dining. If your in here on a busy night be prepared to wait. The real problem was when you come to pay demanding cash and not taking card payments when they clearly have a card machine excuse was we need to pay the delivery drivers 🙄🙄 anyway.... not the most hygienic of places either but if your a student and on a budget it's good. The thing is "oh Calcutta" is next door and it really is next level.

Ordered online. Delivery was meant to be 45 minutes. Four phone calls and 90 minutes later, no food. Cancelled order.

Everything was great except the naan bread didn’t stay nice in the packaging even on a short drive home. Possible had sat in the restaurant a while despite collecting on time. Everything else great

Food ok, but it took nearly two hours to get here in the end. They only notified me of the delay after the food was supposed to be delivered and it had been marked as delivered in the app, really confusing. I'm fine with a restaurant cancelling orders if they are busy, but stringing you along like that is a bit rubbish.

I don't normally review places but this was honestly one of the best Indian restaurants I've ever been to (and I go to quite a lot). Very good quality food, particularly the soft, fresh lamb. Great service and great atmosphere. Fantastic value for money! What more could you want?

first and last time customer nearly hour & half late called restaurant 6 times told busy running late driver turns up rude leaves food on floor outside,chips binned food reheated & most of that binned too!! cheers!!...

Incredible food for the most amazing prices!

God knows how this place has 4.6 stars. We walked in on a Friday night to find it empty stinking of bleach. That should tell you everything about the hygiene of the food.

Amazing quality food, brilliant service. Will be back again to dine with my partner, this is now our new local favourite Indian restaurant.

Vindaloo was perfectly spiced and the texture was noice and thick also plenty of potato’s smashed it once again 10/10!!!

For the price a great quick easy Indian dinner, flavorful, hot, well proportioned. Worth the £4.95, we got a veggie side dish too and a naan. Substantial meal made well for £15 for 2 hungry people. Thanks. I'll order from you again.

BYO alcohol India restaurant. (Good range of alcohol (inc Cobra beer) from the supermarket 4 doors up). The restaurant decor is pretty basic. But the food is very good, at very reasonable prices, and the staff are friendly.

Do not order a Patia….it only tastes of chilli powder, far too hot ! ( which it should not do ) Otherwise all other dishes very nice. Take a chance and make an order hoping the chef takes notice of this review and eases off the chilli powder.

Firstly, the food is amazing and if you're a spice fan like me, the Phall here is incredible, brings tears to my eyes in the best way. The food is usually a little late, but the food is still hot.

My partner & I ordered a tandoori set and meat thali which was delicious and reasonably priced. We received warm hospitality from the friendly staff and we would definitely be back again soon.
