The food was amazing, some of the best Indian food we have had. The service was great, staff were efficient, hard working and super knowledgeable. We were offered recipe ideas for our left overs and came away incredibly satisfied with our overall experience. The interior is immaculate and the location is perfect situated right next to Trenchard parking. We will be sure to return.

Visited this well appointed restaurant on Saturday night during the Easter Weekend. The service was beyond reproach, attentive and was made to feel like valued customers. The starters were tasty and the portion size was just right. I had chicken Karahi for my main course and was happy with selection. All our group were really happy with venue we had chosen and were all complimentary about the food they ordered. Tasty food, lovely service and beautiful restaurant . The hard work these people are doing to make this venture a success really shows. We left very happy customers and will hopefully return.

We went in early evening. Parking was not an issue. The Welcome we got was real good and we felt at home. The decor and ambience was excellent. Amir looked after us so well. The food a little different from other Indian restaurants. We enjoyed the dishes. The other staff just as good serving us. We will come back again. Good place for Bristol.

We found Haveli The Yard on First Table. Everything was brilliant - delicious and lovely presented food. the staff were really attentive and friendly. the venue was also really nicely decorated and had a good atmosphere. Will definitely be going again!

Staying in Bristol for a few weeks due to personal reasons and wanted to have something different to eat. Found this restaurant and thought give it a try. Glad we did, fantastic restaurant, food was amazing which is all home made. The taste and presentation fantastic. Staff were brilliant. Would highly recommend this place as you will be amazed

This is really worth a visit. We’re from London and we’re in Bristol for the weekend and visited this restaurant based on the reviews on Tripadvisor. The staff are all great and went to a huge amount of effort to make this a really great evening. The food is fantastic and the Chicken Achari was brilliant. I do love curry (a lot) and this was great. If you’re in Bristol you should go. I will the next time I visit.

This was a lovely restaurant with great staff and incredible food. My friends and I got a range of dishes which were all incredible, including the vegan options. We booked through the First Table app, which gave us 50% off all food, which was amazing.

Came for mother's day with my three children and had a lovely time. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, the food tasted amazing and was beautifully presented. The service was great. Kundan especially was very friendly and helpful. I will definitely be back again.

We went here for an early Mother’s Day celebration, Amir the owner of Haveili was so lovely & helped to recommend dishes to us when we ordered. The food was delicious & we were able to order starters to come out at the same time as the mains, which was perfect as we shared everything. I would definitely come back here.

This may be the only time I will submit a review without having set foot in the establishment but please read on. It's a salutary tale strongly suggesting caution in trusting this establishment. As you can see from the attached images, I had a booking at Haveli through First Table for Feb 14th at 6pm. This was confirmed at 6.36pm on Feb 8th, six days in advance. On Feb 14th, I called the restaurant to check a minor detail and spoke to Mohammed who advised me that the booking, although correctly made, could not be honoured as he was already fully booked for Valentine's Day. Nothing he could do. Through questioning how this could have come to pass, the blame was laid fairly and squarely on the shoulders of First Table who, he maintained, should not have been promoting the 50% off offer on a day which he could sell out without discount. At that point, although hugely inconvenienced, I knew no better so took up the issue with First Table. First Table clarified that the restaurant itself is in control of the promotions offered online and that, according to their system, the restaurant had removed the offer immediately AFTER speaking to me. The timing of my calls linked to the removal of the promotion corroborates this. In summary, the restaurant is WHOLLY AT FAULT but passed the buck and left me with a disastrous Valentine's Day. A final point to note is that, initially, First Table through William (Customer support) and Jess (Operations Manager) was helpful with information to clarify what had happened but has subsequently 'blanked me' despite several emails; therefore no action has been taken against the restaurant (in fact it's still strongly promoted). So for a company that states on its website that 'In our world, we practice integrity and empathy to build partnerships that last a lifetime', that statement doesn't seem to be backed up with appropriate customer support. Perhaps another note of caution?

The food was amazing, the atmosphere and decor absolutely incredible. Our waiter and the owner were friendly and welcoming . I definitely will be back for more. Highly recommend! We ordered various dishes include butter chicken and the taste was immaculate. 10/10

My wife, daughter and I dined at Haveli recently. Any questions about the menu were answered knowledgeably and politely by our waiter, who also recommended some dishes. The food was amazing, the service was attentive without being intrusive, and the bill (thanks to Last Table) was modest.

Average food, they said it wasn't spicy but it was. I was expecting a tavern type restaurant but it surprised me, a bit luxurious…

Very nice food and mixed grill is amazing! Biryani is a must. Rich spices, deep flavours, elegant presentation. They also serve cocktails which I look forward to trying next time!

Absolutely brilliant, the guys there that own it are attentive and care greatly about the food and the restaurant over all. I personally love Indian food and have eaten out at quite a few around Bristol and I can honestly say this is best one I've been to, if your going please get the paneer it was bloody amazing!

We stumbled across this restaurant after missing our reservation slot at another local restaurant. And what a fabulous find it was, the staff were attentive, and the food was delicious. Thank you for accommodating our large group at such short notice.

Next time I am in Bristol I will be coming back!!! Only had limited time but had amazing cocktail (2 for £13) and onion barges (best think ever had!) And veg samosas that were to die for! Really lovely staff who accommodated our quick turn around. We even ordered some to take away! Beautiful interiors also - chic bur relaxed - would be perfect date night spot. Thank you!

Food was amazing, no complaints. However, a dish did not arrive and was charged, an extra dish arrived that we did not order which we asked to take back, they said we can keep it complimentary but we were still charged for it. On top of that, every table receives a bottle of water that is filled with tap water and is charged for.

Terrible waste of time. I wanted to take my girlfriend out after she’d suffered a terrible bereavement - Indian food is her favourite. This place has fantastic reviews everywhere plus it is on the first table app so thought it’s worth a try for 50% off. It was not. There were signs from the start. Watered down mango chutney, subpar paneer and tiny onion bahjis. We let it slide, looking forward to a curry. My biryani arrived with tiny dips - not the customary vegetable curry. Would have been dry I hadn’t ordered the saag paneer (best dish of the day). Meanwhile My girlfriend’s £16.95 prawn jalfrezi arrived. First thought was - where are the prawns? There were tiny little cold water prawns in there - I had never seen anything like it - especially not for that extortionate price! Not only that but it tasted awful. No flavour and not fresh, not an ounce of spice. I let the waiter know, only to be met with resistance. Eventually she was offered a different curry. 10 minutes later, when the rest of the food was cold, out came a madras featuring the driest chicken I’ve tasted. Microwave piping hot. My girlfriend didn’t eat a thing all night - it was ruined. No apology from the waiter, no compensation. It’s one thing wasting money on terrible food. But it’s another to waste my time. We traveled from the other side of town, on a rainy night, paid for parking. Was not worth it at all. Thoroughly disappointed. Would advise anyone against going here. Absolute rip off - even with first table. Does not meet your platforms quality standards.

Had a wonderful dinning experience at Haveli, The Yard. It was a welcoming atmosphere with friendly and attentive staff. The restaurant itself was rather elegant and spotless with comfortable seating. The food was delightful to the taste buds and superseded expectations. The portion sizes were very generous. The service itself was of first class, very genuine and personable. Perhaps one of the best indian restaurants in Bristol. Highly recommended.

Can't rate this restaurant highly enough. My group has been using this restaurant since it's open. The decor is very warm and inviting, staff are very welcoming and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. The food has always been great not one complaint. Love the butter chicken! It's a great place for groups, couples and famous family's. Thanks we will be back.

I would discourage others from visiting this place, and personally, I won't return. The moment we arrived, we felt judged and uncomfortable. The manager claimed 50 people were coming soon, prompting us to order quickly (though they never arrived). Despite pre-booking for a special occasion, my birthday celebration was spoiled. The manager insisted my friend bring out the cake herself because “ I’m too busy to bring it out” , and didn't bother clearing the table for us to do this, – a breach of health and safety norms and food hygiene . We can acknowledge a busy time, and appreciate the hard work put in but they lack basic etiquettes, with an arrogant manager that isn’t bothered by his feedback. There are other halal options, that will give a better experience.

Service was ridiculously slow. Food was excellent. The restaurant was too bright with another party using a spotlight to take photos of each other. Three star overall as we had a 50% off offer, and they got us a free round of beers after we complained about how slow it was. I wouldn't go back.

Quality place - great food and great service - meeting current day expectations, I would say, but not posh in any way that could be offputting. I don’t think any lover of Indian fare would regret coming here, rather they would return, as I will next time I stay nearby.

First time visiting here, late afternoon as we were in the area. Menu is a little bit limited but still offers good dishes. Service was really good and not rushed at all. Food was very good and well flavoured. Atmosphere was was slightly marred by a large group arriving after us and behaving like they owned the place. Would certainly visit again and recommend to anyone passing by.

Table booked for 7pm and although we got poppadoms fairly quickly the starters did not arrive until 8.30pm by which time we were getting agitated and hungry. When collecting up the plates that had been used for poppadoms the waiting on staff wanted to know...

Lovely find last night - Decor was really nice, great lighting and spacious. Service was immaculate from the moment we arrived. Importantly for me, the menu was clear as I am DF and don't eat meat. The menu was ideal for all allergies, which is super helpful. Lots of good wines to choose from and the food was superb. When we return to Bristol, we will definitely be back!

A must visit for anyone who loves Indian food. The food was beautifully presented, tasted delicious and the atmosphere was perfect for an evening out. Will be visiting again soon.

Very disappointed. I had been looking forward to this cocktail bar/restaurant for a long time. Made it finally, only to be let down and I won't be going back. £113 for 2 of us included a cocktail each (but there is no separate cocktail bar), 3.5 pints of lager, Pani Puri (was good and authentic and well presented), main course each and shared rice, one roti and a side or two. The Goan fish (swordfish) curry was so awful we couldn't finish it. No idea what they made the sauce out of but not Goan and not nice, just very rich and sweet and unspiced. Practically inedible. I had the chicken dum biryani which was boring, plain, and dry chicken. Small amount of gravy. Nothing else in it to make it a pleasure to eat. Well presented with a bread cover. However, we got raita and were offered extra raita which is good. Rice and breads well presented but nothing special. The service I have to say was very good indeed. I was asked four times if I enjoyed the food and I kept saying yes. Don't know why I didn't tell the truth. My advice would be to keep up the excellent service and keep the friendly service staff but either get rid of the chef or tell him to focus less on presentation and more on the quality of the food. I had hoped it would be an interesting menu as they advertise dosai and Thalia but these weren't on the evening menu. Same old boring Friday night Indian dishes. Boring and disappointing

I ran an event at HOURS space next door to Haveli and the team catered for me.- they were super helpful, communicative and amazing! They made the food plant based for me and catered to my every need! Would highly reccommend if you're catering an event or just looking for a lovely local restaurant

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit and the tasty food. Our waiter Kunden was very helpful and made us feel at ease. The food was in great portions at a price that reflects the quality. Definitely will be returning!
