We visited for our 20 year anniversary and Urban Tandoor made our experience so special. Beautiful setting, relaxing lighting and tables nicely spaced and divided. The service, attention to detail and food was the best we have ever had. Complimentary bubbles and a lovely card to wish us a happy anniversary was amazing! Tasty chutneys with poppadoms, lamb tikka and chilli monkfish for starters were excellent and top level spicey. Chicken vindaloo, saag lamb, peshwari naan, keema naan and rice were all so so good, especially the peshwari naan. I highly recommend all of these dishes. Service and atmosphere were excellent all through the meal. Our evening was finished with a congratulations song played for us and a sweet little complimentary cheesecake to share! Such a special evening that we will always remember with a smile! Thank you so much to the whole team, we appreciate your efforts so much! See you again soon! Went to celebrate my birthday had a wonderful experience. The service was personal and exemplary despite the venue being very busy. The attention to detail in taking care of us to make this memorable was exceptional. The food was authentic. Our starters were delicious and presented well, plenty of food. Our mains were fabulous, both of us were really impressed with the mix of spices and depth of flavour in our dishes. Time between courses was just right. We didn't feel rushed and could take our time and savour the experience I would highly recommend Urban Tandoor in Clifton

Slightly different as we ordered a takeaway from here which had items missing and smaller portions than you would expect. It was dissapointing given that having eaten a number of times in the restaurant itself, it is extremely good quality food and service.

Heard lots of good things and have to say the food was decent. The service, however, from the waiting staff was poor. When you employ young students to wait tables you really should train them in customer service. No interaction apart from taking order and bringing it. The food took a while to come and as soon as we had finished we were told the table was needed for another party, who had “arrived and were waiting”!!! We still had half a pint left.

Ordered a takeaway last night at 5.00 pm. It turned up quickly and delivery man friendly. They are the only good comments I can make. The order I paid for had lamb jalfrezi and a chicken dish. The food had no indication which was which - in fact both containers contained chicken - no lamb although I had paid extra for it. The chicken dishes were lukewarm, hot in chilli heat, but without any favour of any description. The worst Indian I have had in Bristol. Disappointing after someone had visited and recommended. Maybe less attention is given to takeaways! Won’t repeat this experience- have many family coming next week and will stick to our usual Indian restaurant!

First time visiting - there was a party of 6. Food was amazing. - starter, main & dessert! Service was excellent from everyone. As it was my birthday and they provided me with a complimentary glass of Prosecco and a delicious chefs special cheesecake with a candle. No complaints from any of us. Will DEFINITELY VISIT AGAIN!!!

Another exceptional dinner in a restaurant which cares. All our requests were met (more or less spicy!), suggestions were offered with a smile and followed up with asking if we were happy. Chicken tikka masala 'spiced up' to my preference was brilliant.

Went here a couple of times when it was the Kohinoor after it first opened and it wasn't up to standard, sadly. We saw it had rebranded as Urban Tandoor and gave it a try - it is every bit as good as it's sister restaurant in town. Absolutely outstanding service and incredible food. Would give it 6/5 if I could. Glad to see they have finally cracked it after a dodgy start.

Not my first visit but certainly my best. The food was incredible (a special suggestion for my taste - a malabar chicken curry), the service 'with a smile' and a lot of care, the table a good size for our party and comfortable chairs. Absolutely perfect evening.

The staff were perfect and incredibly attentive. Me and my friend really really enjoyed the food. It was so special to have Indian food from specific districts and really interesting ways of cooking ingredients. We are familiar with like the paneer and spinach rolls. Can’t wait to go back there and try everything on the menu! Well worth a trip. Definitely check it out!!

Lovely curry house. Friendly staff. Really enjoyed the food here. The flavours were very good and my partner felt the same, he loves his curries. the food all tasted fresh and it was very enjoyable. It was our first time here and I think we will Definitely be back: the only issue was the table, and where the chair was placed, it was almost in the way of where people needed to walk, but Definitely not a massive issue. I knew this was a good restaurant - but often when you get takeaway from a good place it is disappointing. Not the Urban Tandoori - my takeaway was lovely, full of flavour, not just a box full of glop. Really good. Not cheap but well worth the price. Makes me want to go back.

We were so excited that we managed to get a table. I was in Bristol house sitting so we called earlier in the day and they had a space - yay! We were excited to visit as we have been fans of the hilarious Urban Tandoor videos that we’d been seeing online. We didn’t really know much about the food before we went along. This place is amazing! The food is delicious. Both my friend and I are vegetarian and there was lots of food to order. It was all really good. The restaurant is really cool and has a good vibe. Everyone serving was really friendly, attentive and happy. I think this is possibly one of the best (if not the best) Indian meals I’ve had as a veggie. Thank you for a great night team! Next time I’m looking after my sisters house, I’ll be back.

So good to see this restaurant re-open. Food is exceptional and lovely,friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommend it. Cobra is the popular wonderful larger and there is a good selection of wines and spirits. Highly recommend and would advise to book in advance at week-ends.
