If you want your food served with a side ot teen attitude then you're in luck here. First time here and won't be bothering again. The food itself was nice enough but the service left a lot to be desired. Part of the meal didn't arrive and I had to ask 2 different waiters before it eventually arrived 10 minutes later.

there is a lot of choice on the high street, but we stopped here i was surprised how big this place is it was not until i went to the toilet i found the upstairs outside area good menu and prices what you would expect nice food arrived in good time will go again so i can sit upstairs out side weather permitting - lol ..

Four of us all had something different and all loved our meals. Really good Nasi Goreng. Found all the staff really friendly too from the second we walked in 😁

Horrendous pints of moretti for me and my mate, lines clearly not cleaned, glasses not good and have knocked us both sick

The unico wilmslow Tables down the sides never been cleaned for months. Table tops only cleaned Paintings covered in thick dust. Grubby

Terrible manager !!!would never recommend it to anyone and I live five mins away and work on the main street,or really has gone down hill as it used to be amazing with great management...shame!

Genuine 1 star. I dont complain. They lost our order. 40 mins for a coffee which we asked 3 times for. Breakfast had a pale cold sausage, cold mushrooms and luke warm everything else. Awful

I have eaten here many times. It’s great as they allow dogs and the staff are friendly and hard working. Food consistently good. .never had a fault with the food. BUT - seems to be a young trainee - nice and helpful but he is chewing gum. Massive ‘No,No’ for wait staff to chew gum. Should be part of the induction - no gum! It’s just unprofessional.

Just popped in for an evening cappuccino (and ended up with huge slab of chocolate cake!) Coffee came just how I asked for it - extra hot, and a good sized cup! Greeted by Cerri, who was lovely and welcoming, then served by Anna who couldn’t have been more welcoming and friendly. A lovely venue (candles on the table so a really nice atmosphere) and I would definitely recommend to anyone. I’ve been in this café-bar in the daytime and they were great with children too. Two floors so lots of choice for seating. Didn’t eat here today, but have eaten here previously and there’s a great menu, my daughter is vegetarian and there was lots of choice for both of us. Service and food are both fab - thank you Unico Lounge!

My wife and i went out on a jaunt to Wilmslow and decided to go there for a late lunch. We have been here a few times and always love the fact that it is a bit different! Wonderful selection if quality food!

Visited with my friend this evening for dinner. Tapas Tuesday is great value and incredibly tasty. The evening was topped off by excellent service from Mike. Will definitely be back.

I visited for lunch, got welcomed lovely at the door by a young girl. Ordered food came looked lovely. To only find that both eggs on 2 dishes were over cooked. As working in the hospitality industry and for a very long time, no check back was given which is wrong. After we were given vinegar that had dead flys in there… yes we should of checked before hand but why aren’t staff checking this? And giving out old vinegar … Very unhygienic and concerning. We told a waitress and her response was oh it’s happened again… which is also quiet concerning. The food tasted lovely but was let down with rock solid poached eggs and fried eggs. But the service was amazing can’t fault it just a few things need changing.

WHAT A GEM OF A PLACE WILMSLOW'S UNICO LOUNGE IS!!! Andy, and his team in the kitchen, always does a superb job. I host a large group and everyone is consistently delighted with their food! On my last visit, the waitresses...Jaz and Carol-Anne...looked after us extremely well. They were friendly, very professional and well-informed about the menu. Enormous credit is also due to Mike who leads the team fantastically well and to Connor, who also does a fabulous job. If you haven't yet visited this wonderful venue, you are in for a treat! JoeP

We were initially impressed by Unico Lounge - good menu, cool ambiance and, on what was a lovely sunny day, an idyllic roof terrace. Our order was placed at the bar, but when the food arrived one of the the sides was missing. I had popped out to top-up our car-parking (the service was a little on the slow side). On returning I found the member of staff who had taken the order, and told him about the missing side order and gave him our table number. After that....... absolutely nothing. We worked out that he had actually failed to include the side in the order, so at least we hadn't lost out financially. A little advice for the team - if a customer raises an issue, at least have the decency to attempt to resolve it. It really does make all the difference for the customer experience and perception.

Relaxed and happy atmosphere, and some fab choices for vegetarians (that aren't just vegetables)! Also love the mocktails too!

Been three times so far in under two weeks and the food and drinks are 10/10. Lovely staff and nice places to sit. It’s great that they offer vegan and gluten free menus too.

Yesterday - 16/7/21 - I was at the Unico for 5 hours, eating and drinking with about 12 friends. During that time we were superbly looked after by Supervisor Alex. She was highly professional, helpful and respectful, going out of her way to meet our needs. We were extremely impressed by her service and interpersonal skills. Thank you Alex.Joe Power

The service was better than average but in total contrast the food fell a bit short both on taste and presentation, and I’m afraid this would put us off returning.

Really poor to be honest.Having just returned, more than likely wont return again.There were 3 tables of people inside when we arrived for drinks.Drinks arrived having been ordered on the QR code.Beer glass was dirty & so was the wine glass, we asked them to swap the wine glass & then realised the beer glass was as dirty but didnt say anything.They brought back another wine & said " a lovely clean glass for you" Ironic given it had a huge lipstick mark on it & was dirtier than the first so had to swap it againHaving checked my online order i had ordered one tonic but was charged for 2 & the tonic was out of date Best before on the bottle reads end of may 21All small issues which could so easily be sortedThey refunded the wine & tonic but its really basic to get glasses clean & stock thats in date.

I was there visiting my auntie who lives in wilmslow and she recommended this place. It's such a Lovely quirky restaurant. We Thoughroughly enjoyed sitting up on the terrace in the sunshine with a nice glass of wine and it was one of the nicest French onion soups that we both agreed that we'd had in ages! Connor who served us was so helpful. We couldn't of asked for better service. My aunt since then has told me he has now been promoted to an assistant manager! so the quality of service is clearly paying off!Next time I visit we shall definitely be returning!

Not child friendly in the slightest. Manager rude and aggressive. We have no problem ensuring strict covid rules are adhered to. I am wholly for it. However the way the manager spoke to us was frankly disgusting and he really needs some customer service training. It was ignorant in the way he read the situation and I would never speak to anyone in the way he spoke to us. A bit of compassion would have achieved a much better outcome. If you do not want children to leave the table at any point during their 2 hour visit then please set the boundaries from the beginning. If you are concerned about having to do additional cleaning because we used up 2 tables then you clearly need more cleaners. Regardless of whether my 2 year old sits at the table opposite in an entirely EMPTY restaurant, you will still have to deep clean the place according to covid guidance anyway. I ensured my child was putting no one at additional risk and if you cannot cope with the sudden spontaneity of every toddler known to existence, you should not be open. I am a doctor in the frontline. I would never put anyone at additional unnecessary risk so please do not shout at me when I am doing my best to keep my child safe and myself sane. I am sure this will resonate with lots of mothers with young children who are hesitant to go for coffee with friends for this exact reason.

My previous visit after lockdown 1 was a disaster. poor staff hygiene, no masks by staff or clients. Poor quality food and very poor salsa.This time (22/12) was much better. Social distancing was good. Staff wore masks, clients ditto. Food was better prepared and the tapas was generally very good. BUT the salsa for the patatas bravas has not improved one bit. It is like weak tomato juice i.e. no body and no flavour. THIS IS NOT SALSA!!!!

came here as never had been before and it seemed quite a large place with tables distanced, hand sanitizer and taking you contact detailsthe female member of staff with long hair was very friendly and helpful , I decided to try the bang bank chicken, which was a spicy noodle dich with chicken , broccoli which was nice and something different.There was quiet a variety on the menu at reasonable prices and bars nearby to visit in better times.I followed this with a blueberry and lemon drizzle loaf which was nice but a dry cake, they also did larger desserts.My friend tried the mexican superbowl and 3 tapas dishes for £10.95I would visit here again because the food was lovely and there were some different dishes than the usual restaurant or pub I would visit, the waiting times were ok but the place was quiet

We came in yesterday and we were so pleased with everything. Food was great and reasonable for Wilmslow! We don't go out much but we felt so safe here, it seemed like someone was always cleaning something and they all were wearing masks. I think it was the manager who walked us through ordering from our phone, so helpful as we had no idea. He had a quick chat with us and made us feel really welcome. Thanks, we will be back soon!

we walked pass looking for a place to eat for lunch, saw this fancy food place, Loungers. looked great and very covid safe. got table looked at the menu excellent choices. i asked a member of staff, a gentlemen with black hair and wearing black mask, slim build, to ask a query about how to order either at bar or app on phone. he then went into full conversation, i tried to explain about my disability and that i rely on lip reading. he obvious didn't understand what i meant or take notice and i looked to my wife for some explanation on what he saying and for her to interpret for me off the waiter but he walked off without waiting for any further questions or we understood what he said and my wife tried to explain to him about my disability but he was having none of it and walked off and wouldn't spend an extra minute to help me. obviously my wife was very upset with the waiter ignorant towards me. for that reason we left the shop immediately. all the reviews i read from previous customers has been ruined by this particular waiter. sorry to say he need training on customer service

food tasted like poo and wee. my chips didn’t even come i just got ketchup in a mug ? bread had a whole box of butter in it

We used to love Unico and eat here quite a lot. Lots of space, good for families and allows dogs - whats not to love?Sadly today we visited for the first time since Lockdown and it didnt live up to expectations. They have distanced the tables and have an app you can order online. This felt good except that half the staff had masks either hanging from one ear or pulled down below their chins. Honestly I'd probably have felt more comfortable if they weren't wearing them at all - but this just made it look like they had a rule but didnt care. One waiter and one chef wore them continuously but all the staff on the bar didnt bother, even when delivering food and drinks to the tables. The tapas menu seems to have shrunk and the service was slow, but in fairness when the food finally arrived it was tasty. I think we'll wait until after covid before we return.

Alex Armstrong was incredible! She delivered an amazing customer experience from the moment I walked in to the moment I left! She made the best Biscoff Cheesecake cocktail! Proper peng!

We visit here regularly and they are following all Covid regulations, well done and should be supported. The coffee and good is great and they have a Vegan menu.

Used to love this place before lockdown. But had a terrible meal here recently. Service was terrible. And like another reviewer said, the chicken was disgusting. Like it was cooked a while ago; soggy, watery but somehow rock solid on the bottom. Salad was missing about half the ingredients it should’ve had, and the tapas was also bad. Such a shame the quality has suffered.

What a lovely surprise. Never been here before and it wasn’t a disappointment!Deceiving from the front. When you walk in your thrown into a bohemian yet retro feeling cafe / bar atmosphere with chilled music and functional furniture. The food is as eclectic as the decor, and the inviting tapas give you a taste of what’s in store from a more substantial dish.Well done and we will be back !

Ordering was OK. Slightly worried that staff were not checking customers for masks and had poor hygiene themselves. Drinks arrived. Staff member in mask but no gloves. Utensils delivered. Again no gloves (was I supposed to disinfect utensils?). Food delivered. No gloves but staff touched plates. Food quality poor. Butter chicken looked as though it was last week's. Complained. New dish delivered. Sauce for Patatas Bravas was so weak; more like thin tomato soup. Definitely will not return even though it was a favourite pre-lockdown.

Visited on a very busy Saturday lunchtime. Service fairly slow - but they did warn us and it was hectic. Average food, but nice runny poached eggs. Acoustics terrible - difficult to hear each other across a small table. Don't go if you don't like dogs - in fairness they advertise themselves as dog-friendly but there are A LOT of dogs, so inevitably much barking at each other. Combined with the high number of children, not a place for a romantic tryst!

I love the lounge group places but Wilmslow always seems to be so slow serving food! We waited 50 mins today for a burger and some cheesy chips! (And you don’t get many chips for the price). I wouldn’t mind but it wasn’t that busy! I noticed a couple of other people complaining too!

We was lucky enough to come across Unico Lounge when in Wilmslow. They were very accommodating to our family and catered for our two year old son. Overall our dining experience was delicious and all staff were warm and welcoming. We were treated well especially by the manager who took time out of his busy shift to talk to us, which you do not often get. The food was amazing and didn’t take long to arrive. Will 100% be dining here again when we visit Wilmslow again.

I accept that Unico is a casual dining experience and was prepared for that. I was part of a large group so had had to pre order my meal-also understandable if we so were all to eat at the same time. What wasn't acceptable is how meat was served in place of my vegetarian choice,smothered in a tomato sauce and only identified once bitten into.If my selection had been due to allergies or for religious reasons they could have been sued. Luckily for them it was neither but I totally lost my appetite and it did spoil my evening.I wont return.

This place is always busy so a good sign. I find the service a bit slow. Very few taking orders and standard coffee. Coukd be very good but needs a bit of a push. Decent for large numbers.

Visited here for the second time on the 10th feb. Everything about this place is great, the coffee, food, service and ambiance. A must try is the vegan carrot cake, it is just amazing. Can’t wait to go back.

Food here is consistently good. The lounge breakfast is a firm favourite. The staff are friendly and helpful and there’s a great atmosphere. Been here many times and it never disappoints.

Stopped for lunch and were glad we did. Great atmosphere, great staff and really great food. Good variety of food on menu. No complaints at all. Although diners should be aware that dogs are welcomed in this establishment (which appears to be the norm in Wilmslow).

Great place to take the dog and have a brunch. Lots of families come and the children have q great choice of books, games. We have brunch and always good. Staff don't really chat however thats because its always busy on a Saturday.

Stopped here last week with a friend for a late brunch/early lunch and I have to say that the eggs benedict were superb. Nice, relaxed atmosphere and friendly service.

Went for Sunday brunch with family. Couldnt fault the food but service was poor. Having to wait best part of an hour for some of our drinks and that was after chasing up several times is not somewhere I'll be returning to.

Huge menu, great options for gluten free and vegan. Lovely relaxed atmosphere, inviting for children. Had a fabulous salad myself. All enjoyed their food though.

Used by a group of us for monthly meetings. The staff are always pleasant and helpful. Not my style in the evening but for day time meets...bags of room, nice surrounds, comfortable seating etc. All good!

We visited The Unico Lounge for Brunch. The food was really tasty and satisfying. Also, our server, Nigel, was brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble for him. My daughter didn’t like the berries on her pancakes so, without question, Nigel took it away and brought her something different.

We had high expectations of our lunchtime visit particularly as the lounge is obviously very welcoming to children. However....we waited 50 minutes for our food to arrive (no fun with two small children), despite asking twice for the children's hummus and carrot sticks to be brought they arrived eventually after the main course, the child's fried egg was coated with black pepper so had to be returned,there were no roasted tomatoes on the lounge breakfast but we couldn't be bothered to complain by the time it arrived! Unlikely to recommend or return.

Tepid, indifferent welcome by the lad working the till. I can never work out who the staff are in this place due to lack of any apparent dress code or clues such as serving aprons...

A sort of a family pub in the centre of Wilmslow. All generations welcome including dogs - staff very friendly & helpful. Food offered very nice.

Good food, reasonable price, dog friendly. Can have just a coffee or go for the full menu. Macaroni cheese was very nice.

You absolutely know where you are with thelounges brand. Everyone is catered for. Even the dog gets waited on! Great vegan menu which leaves you in a dilemma as to what you will have. Always tend to go for VLT as it’s divine! Please tell the powers that be that Northwich needs this chain! Your restaurant would always be busy! Am relying on you - get on to it!!

We’ve been to 5 different Lounges now from this group and they’re usually consistently very good.

We LOVE The Lounges and are on a mission to visit as many as possible because we love the vibe, decor, and nearly all staff are consistently friendly and welcoming and the food is tasty and affordable.

Visited on Saturday evening. Wet and blustery outside which was a shame as would have loved to make use of the roof terrace. Maybe next time. Ordered 6 tapas dishes and have to say they were all delicious. Good flavours. Nicely seasoned. Presented very well. Service was excellent also. Courteous from the moment we walked in. If you’ve never been then absolutely drop in here. They’re dog friendly too which is lovely to see. Will definitely come back again.

I have been coming to your lounge for over a year now, once a month or so, but for the past month I come here regularly now. I eat here a lot and I’m partial to a pot of green tea!. I believe the chefs bring your custom in to your business from the repeat custom and recommendations myself and others say as the food looks as it tastes, just excellent presentation and the flavours are just right.. the staff are very well manned, friendly and have a good knowledge of what to recommend if you are not sure on what to eat. Never had a bad meal here it’s always 10/10, I think all the chefs in your kitchen should get a huge pat on the back as they are all awesome!. Thanks for being an super awesome place to chill so I can read my book, serve green tea in a pot and have a huge menu, that is slimming world friendly!.

We returned here on bank holiday monday for a second time, and once again had the best brunch ever. We had the ‘diner brunch’ - can’t explain how maple syrup goes so well with bacon, but it just does! It feels like a happy welcoming place, with lots of colour, quirky decor and mismatched furniture. There is a 2nd large dining room upstairs which leads out to a lovely roof terrace. All the staff are very friendly and personable, and made us feel really special. We drove all the way out here from 30 miles away so it must be good!

We visited today at lunchtime with our two Granddaughters. We all enjoyed our food although we had to wait a while for the food to arrive...it was busy as it was half term....drinks were brought promptly.

Third time here in last 2 months.... friendliest staff every time. So helpful, positive and full of smiles. The food is just perfect ... best in Wilmslow and very reasonably priced. We had 2 burgers ( best I ever tasted even vs US), steak ( cooked perfectly and tender) and bangbang chicken ( full of fresh ingredients ). Great selection of beers , wine and cocktails which were quality.

Excellent vegan burger from 'Beyond Meat', with lettuce, tomato, pickled red onion, vegan smoked gouda cheese and burger sauce in a brioche bun. Superb. A large vegan menu too. Will be back.

The coffee has to qualify for the worse ever served. New staff and a new brew. A combination of peculated coffee sold as the more expensive coffee. Unico please take note this is appalling and shouldn't be tolerated. Please train your staff in the skills of a 'Barister' or more harshly don't miss sell your coffee.

We stumbled upon this place whilst wandering round Wilmslow last weekend, and I’m so glad we did, but I’M REALLY ANNOYED! However hard I tried (and believe me I did), I just couldn’t find fault with anything.

Went for a brunch with my daughter few days ago after reading some reviews online. Beautiful place with lovely art deco, the foods were generous and very tasty- one of the best we had so far! Quick service is a big plus too. We had a lovely time and will certainly come again with the whole family. Thank you!

My son works in Wilmslow so met there for a belated birthday meal. He suggested Unico. The decor is really quirky with wooden tables and mismatched chairs and low lighting. There is a regular menu and daily specials as well as a good selection of drinks.

I just love the atmosphere in this place, i prefer a week day evening when its quieter. There is so much variety! GF, vegan, meat dishes, kids, coffees etc.

Came for dinner and just wanted something fairly simple. Ended up having a really nice burger and chips . Liked the ambience - the staff were friendly and checked in we were ok. Certainly was suitable for a lighter meal or lunch and the pricing was about right for the content.

Visited the Sunday ghost town that is Wilmslow for lunch, having phoned in the morning to see if I could book a table (you can't, but the member of staff didn't know that and told me she would "ask the chefs"; since when did the chefs decide booking policy in managed chains...?). She then went on to say that they were expecting "huge volumes" that day then just hung up. Odd...

Our Brunch spot! Perfect spot to people watch and let the world go by with an avocado brunch and cup of tea! Bliss!

I prefer quirky places and not chains...Pleasantly surprised. Bags of room and decent decor. Friendly staff and good coffee. Delay I getting some pastries for breakfast but very tasty on arrival. Well done!

We had already found The Faro Lounge in Lichfield and loved it, and whilst wandering around Wilmslow one cold December Sunday, we came across the Unico Lounge. We love the Lounge concept with it's quirky decor and comfortable feel. The coffee is always good and the menu is quite innovative. We would recommend The Lounges.

Great menu, food hot and very tasty although we did have to chase missing drinks. Staff are very friendly but you do need more on the bar area as it gets very congested. My complaint was the overall smell of dogs sat on the comfy sofa by the coat rack and we had to move Mentioned it to staff as possibly a little accident around there. Me and my family recently visited for an afternoon brunch, while for the most part the staff are lovely and they do allow dogs in all parts of the lounge, I was slightly disappointed. After browsing the menu I noticed that they offer a tomato and mozzarella panini, as someone who is not a fan of tomato I didn’t think it would be a problem to swap this for bacon (as it is offered in other panini options), when we asked for this however we were told it wasn’t possible. While I understand that some food needs to be prepared in advance to accommodate for a busy service, I was a bit put out by the lack of trying by the member of staff on the till who simply scrolled through the options on the menu and said tomato and mozzarella is all that could be made, nothing could be changed. I do enjoy the food here but I was just disappointed by the lack of effort made by the member of staff who took our order.

I work in Wilmslow and regularly meet up with friends for lunch, but today was my first visit to Unico. Absolutely loved it. Loved the decor, the staff were friendly and courteous and the food was amazing.

Such a great place - the menu is varied and everything we’ve had has been so tasty! Also love that our dogs are welcome! Staff always very friendly and ‘on it’, just a shame it always feels slightly grubby (otherwise it would have been 5 stars easily); the tables and menus are always sticky!

One of us is vegan and one meat eater. We had a lovely welcome here on a damp and drizzly Sunday morning. Lovely decor and we were brought two orange juices 'on the house' as it was our first visit. Surprised to find a good vegan choice. Food piping hot and very tasty. Highly recommended.

We came to Wilmslow for the Festive 10K run. As the weather was cold, I waited here for the race to finish.

What a wonderful venue. Beautifully decorated and a lovely, warm atmosphere, made all the friendlier because dogs are welcome.

From the moment you enter there is a warm welcoming vibe. This is a perfect place to sit back and enjoy the atmosphere. The staff are very warm and friendly and it was nice to see a happy team

Today we had a chance to visit Unico. When we walked in all staff was behind the bar no hello, nothing . We took a seat at long table in front of bar but quickly moved up as it was dark and dumpy . We ordered English breakfast and avocado brunch flat white and orange juice. Upstairs 3 tables taken the rest so sticky and dirty that at this point I wish we have not placed the order . Coffee came ... juice came (10 min. Waiting ) no cutlery no tea spoon for coffee. Eventually food came. Restaurant was not busy but we waited for a toast 25 min . Food less than average .

We came in on a quiet night it seemed and the service we received from Rowan and Courtney was great! (I think that's the names) immediately felt welcomed by them both! I had picked an injury from playing football earlier in the day and they both went the extra mile for me! Pointing out the comfiest places to sit and even taking the order at the table (I couldn't really stand on my leg) they had some great banter with us all and set the bar for all other lounges! Definatly coming back hopefully with them both working!
