Two Trees Cafe in Rother

Now called Chapter Two, not Two Trees. We enjoyed a lovely no thrills breakfast here which is exactly what we needed. The owners had signage up stating that they were away and the lady who appeared in charge in their absence was doing a great job. Made us very welcome and provided great service with a smile.

The best cooked meat I have tasted in a very long time. The staff are welcoming and the service excellent

We enjoy the meals that Ricky and his team serve us on our monthly visits at our Supper Club every first Tuesday of the month. The meals are always hot, tasty and very reasonably priced. Ricky is highly flexible as we have had members arrive where their menu choice has not been on the choices list we send or they have had to cancel at the last moment and those meals are served with everyone else's or cancelled where appropriate. If there has been an issue with the meal then it is rectified there and then. Nothing appears to be phase the team. I would recommend Chapter Two, especially to the older generation who enjoy home-cooked meals delivered to their home.

If you can find a parking spot do drop in for a bite to eat, or just a coffee perhaps. You will be well received by a pleasant waitress and a good menu for a cafe and at reasonable prices. I had an all day breakfast and my wife a pancetta, with a coffee. The cafe was busy at lunchtime, mainly with senior citizens, occupying about 12 tables. Cosy but good

I recently visited with family and really felt the place had gone downhill. Lots of flies in the cafe and almost no stock on menu. Staff weren't rude but bit untidy/sloppy in their dress code. Atmosphere was very flat and food was average to below average. They also got part of our order wrong & served one dish that hadn't been ordered. I wouldn't visit again sadly.

Nice local place, yummy looking products, decent coffee and the lunches looked good. My husband adores their Eccles cakes. It’s a little but dated, but the price reflects this and to be honest it’s quite homely and welcoming.

I used to pop in to this little cafe on a regular basis for a roast but it hasn’t quite been up to the usual standard just lately. Veg overcoked and served luke warm at times and no roast potatoes, I was given boiled potatoes with their skin on instead. Not very appealing to look at and a roast isn’t really a roast without the potatoes! Very disappointing as this used to be one of the few places where I could be sure of a delicious, home cooked, reasonably priced meal. What a shame.

We had a dinner delivered to our home, chilled ready for warming later. You can also have the meals delivered hot,if you want to eat them straightaway. There was plenty on the china plates. eg: Mash, peas, cabbage,carrots, mashed swede and a steak pie. There is a good choice of food on the menu. You can also eat in the cafe for lunches, tea cakes etc.The lady that delivered was friendly and helpful. Will definitely be using again and no charge for delivery. Very good prices & home made.

Food excellent. Staff really polite and friendly. Will definitely visit again. Went twice in two days. Scrambled eggs are amazing.

We had a lovely meal in this little cafe. The roast dinners were just like home made roasts with a lovely selection of vegetables and roast potatoes and parsnips. Also a choice of meats with all the sauces all served very hot and fresh. We had a very warm welcome. Prices were extremely reasonable.Parking is a little bit difficult but there is a public car park reasonably near with plenty of spaces. Would definitely recommend.

There was no computer to use or printer so really should not advertise as an Internet cafe. The staff were unfriendly and unwelcoming. We didn't even stay for a coffee!

Came across this cafe by chance while looking for a parking space in Little Common, what a find! We were so impressed with our lovely panini lunch that we returned the following day for lunch again and had delicious hot meals - roast chicken and sausages for my two friends and chicken pie for me. All served with LOTS of various veg and gravy AND everything was piping hot! How unusual. Huge serves. We also had homemade trifle and lemon meringue pie, both very tasty. Very friendly, helpful and cheerful service, good food and good filter coffee -it was a delight to dine there and we will certainly return 👍

I have never visited this cafe in person but I order hot lunches for my husband and myself to be delivered to our home a few times a month. Sam and her mum do an excellent job and the generous portion of food arrives piping hot! We are not elderly but as I don't make English food, my hubby gets his fix with the cottage pie (his favourite dish) in the convenience of our own home. I love the roast pork. I order with Sam via email and she always responds in a timely manner. The delivery people are always polite as well. The menu changes daily and I have attached a copy for your convenience. The only day they don't deliver is Sunday. Do give them a try!

I sampled the £6.00, 7 item breakfast with tea or coffee and found it really good value. The food was freshly cooked and arrived piping hot in hot plates. It was good to have my coffee in a China cup. Very pleasant lady served the food and had time to chat.

Clean and welcoming with very pleasant staff. Lovely cappuccino and toasted teacake. Cooked breakfasts and lunches available. The menus for both looked very enticing

Better coffee to be had in so many other cafes. Suits an older clientele. Better than it was though.

Nos encontramos con un amigo que vive muy cerca de los dos árboles Cafe y decidimos almorzar. Hay un menú muy bueno y nos instalamos en el filete y tarta de hongos llego con frescos vegetales, repollo, judias verdes, zanahorias y guisantes con ollas y salsa. Fue una comida abundante propiamente un montón, así que no tuvimos espacio para Pudds. Muy agradable de china tazas y tetera. Un servicio amable y una verdadera sensación de estar en el lugar. Volveremos otra vez para que el té en la como tortas y pasteles se ven geniales

Este café ofrece un servicio invaluable a los ancianos en la zona de bexhill. Que entregan comida, sí, y muy bien, pero son demasiado están siempre dispuestos a ir solo que un paso más allá. Sus clientes son lo más importante de estas dos maravillosas personas sin las cuales no creo que mi demencia ancianos afectados padre.

Gary and Melanie catered for my Mother's funeral this week and did a sterling job. The food was lovely and they were so very friendly and courteous to all the guests. They provided gluten free cake too which was wonderful.Highly recommended.

My wife and I have eaten lunch here a few times. The food is wonderful and has that real home cooked flavour thanks to the excellent chef Gary. Mel and her team make everyone so welcome. All the offerings on the menu are fantastic value and the desserts are to die for. The value for money is 10 out of 10. We will be back again soon.

Have only started going in the last couple of months for breakfast but it is one of the best English breakfasts we have had. Such warm friendly staff, nothing too much trouble. Also sampled the Eccles Cakes and Coffee Cake which, again, were excellent. Looking forward to sampling lunch. Helen & Nige

This lil cafe in little common is amazing, friendly welcoming, fresh home cooked foods. Also perfect to just pop in and have a coffee and cake, my favourite the Eccles cakes :) the owners here really do make the effort and it shows from when you walk in. See you soon

We arrived unannounced during the busy lunch time period, but we were given a table immediately. Food and Drink was served quickly, and we were very impressed with the quality. The owners and staff were friendly and the service excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely go back! Advise people to book in future just incase it is full (as it was when we arrived!). Thats a sign of a good establishment i guess!

My wife and I took our young daughter here for a spot of light lunch recently and it was an utterly wonderful experience. A warm, friednly atmosphere. The staff were so kind and accomodating and the food was superb. I cannot recommend this place highly enough and we look forward to visiting again very soon.

A visit to Two Trees offers the chance to enjoy their splendid 'full house' breakfasts, hot snacks and home bakery. They also provide a delivery service of hot meals, from an appealing menu with plenty of choice. We stopped for a morning coffee, before lunchtime trade had built up, and were able to enjoy and partake in the lively banter between the charming front-of-house Mel, chef Gary from the kitchen precincts and their regulars... a friendly atmosphere and every reason to rush back soon!

We love our regular Saturday mornings at Two Trees. The cafe is owned by a delightful couple, Mel and Gary who create a lovely and friendly atmosphere. They know everyone by name and enjoy welcoming new visitors. The cafe is very clean, the drink and food are excellent. They offer lovely cakes as well as a varied lunch menu. They also do home deliveries of main meals. Mary helps to serve and is always smiling and makes you feel good. Gary does the cooking and everything is very fresh. Marvellous!

My wife and I stumbled across this little gem whilst visiting Bexhill, last week. The lady who took our order was very accommodating of our requirements, and the other patrons looked upon her warmly. We will definitely be back when we return to Bexhill in the summer. The cakes were gorgeous too!

Two Trees Cafe in Little Common is an unpretentious clean establishment with at least seven or eight home cooked dishes to choose from every day. The roasts are excellent and also the steak and / or chicken pies are delicious. There is also other good English cooking with really nice fresh vegetables as well. The coffee is excellent.Desserts are reasonable too.Basically it is wholesome genteel cafe that is clean and airy and well laid out.Always welcoming and with a family type atmosphere.A much needed eatery in this part of greater Bexhill-on-SeaThey also do a delivery service which helps many elderly in the area that cannot travel out to eat.
