We have been visiting the Twisted Lemon for 6 years or more and have loved it every time - apart from this last visit on Sunday. The place was not really busy at 10pm, unusual but we have always liked the atmosphere anyway. This time, we felt like we were interrupting a private party with 2 of the staff and their mates, laughter and fun for them but meant very little service and a weird, unwelcoming vibe for us . Drinks were ok but not great, a first for this place. What a shame! Hopefully better next time as staff seem to change around a lot.

Loved the vibe of this cocktail bar. It is tucked in a very narrow alleyway. Almost missed it. The staff and the cocktails are equally amazing. We had a pretty good time here, the night before my daughter's graduation.

I can’t wait to come back again to enjoy more delicious cocktails.. but what makes this place is the outstanding customer service, the girls and guys here are amazing and don’t leave you with an empty glass… Can’t wait to come back again.. 👌🍹🧉

This evening, we were in this establishment, took some cocktails, and after, one of our friends felt ill. We tried to assist, staff were not useful. We ordered the taxi for our friend. We were told to leave. So. Be careful.guys. don't be getting drunk in this bar... Or your mates

Cocktails are amazing and at a fair price! The food was surprisingly good for being in a bar and overall had a great time, they had really great songs on and weren’t too loud!

We managed to squeeze in a couple of cocktails each before happy hour ended. I can wholeheartedly recommend the Black forest gateau, they were delicious and hit the spot perfectly. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was chilled. A very lovely place to drink the night away.

One of the best cocktail bars we have been too. A colourful environment with excellent staff who advised us in a helpful and friendly way. Other (good) cocktail bars err a bit on the side of trying to hard to be matter-of-fact whereas here, at the Twisted Lemon, you can get the same quality in a much better package :) (Time of visit: June 2024)

Myself and my sister went to the Twisted Lemon around a week ago now and I forgot to leave a review!! The Twisted Lemon is a quaint establishment with great music and awesome staff who are both attentive and fun!! Although they were almost full when myself and my sister arrived we still managed to squeeze in!! Since going here my sister has told me whilst visiting me in Brighton that this was one of her favourite venues and would love to come back given the chance!! Thank you guys for the amazing night I’ve attached some photos of the drinks we had I can’t remember the names of the drinks anymore but I’m sure if you show a staff member they could help you out!!

Came here for some cocktails during happy hour, each cocktail was just £7.95! We tried different ones and they were so so good. The staff there is great, the girl that served us was really friendly and attentive. Definitely recommend and I will 100% come back!

Quirky little cocktail bar hidden along the Lanes. Great atmosphere and extensive cocktail menu. Tried a few cocktails during happy hour along with some padron peppers. My favourites were the Jimi Hendrix and the Biscoff Espresso Martini (both pictured). Can't wait to visit Brighton again to make a stop in this little gem.

Hidden gem of a cocktail bar in Brighton. Also does food. Manhattans to die for. Place is intimate, relaxed and plays cool music. Used to be Blind Lemon Alley. Great place to graze and refuel while out shopping. Or for an evening out. Staff are ultra friendly and helpful and smiley.

Got seated and no-one came back to serve drinks, disappointed ☹️ went to Browns instead.

Went during happy hour and had some delicious and strong cocktails. The staff were super attentive, never sat with an empty glass waiting. The atmosphere is really nice, had a bar vibe but still cosy, really worth a visit even if just for a few during happy hour!

Great cocktails. Not the fanciest spirits ever but really well made cocktails and a good menu.

The banoffee cocktail is like a dessert and a drink all wrapped into one, so nice, and it was part of the happy hour which runs til 7pm so certain drinks cost £6.95. The staff were friendly too.

Came at happy hour and it was really busy, but the drinks came super quick & Lara was very lovely and charismatic. Thankyou!

Really small, cosy bar hidden from the main street. Unfortunately I didn’t come on a happy hour day, but the service and cocktails were great. Worth the money! Really recommend if you’re passing by 👍🏻

Excellent experience as per usual at this bar, particularly the bartender josh as he made the most amazing espresso martini I’ve ever had and also the Italian bartender with the best moustache I’ve ever seen was so pleasant and welcoming, thank you boys for our wonderful experience today

Love this cozy bar, hidden away in the alley which could have been easily missed. Nice decors as well. Happy hour house drinks are superb; and kudos to the friendly team managing the place. Would have ordered more drinks if not for the rush of time to catch a train back to London.

The service really goes beyond here! You feel like the good kind of royalty when ordering and just being here! Really has an impact on the experience. Great cocktails and it’s slightly hidden down a little pathway.

Visiting a friend he knows we love cocktails and said he would surprise us, and exactly that he did. This place is a right light gem tucked away. Cocktails were amazing

We were visiting Brighton for anniversary night away and some shopping when we walked past this little gap inntge wall.. its definitely worth looking for ! We didn't have food so the 5* is for amazing espresso martinis, which is a favourite of ours.. and these were a couple of the best ever. Very friendly staff too. They have a cocktail Happy hour , but wasn't till we had our we found out espresso martinis were not included in it.. Great place, amazing drinks, funky space both indoor and out.

Hate this place. Staff are insane. But I loved every minute of it and now I'm always sad when I'm not at Twisted Lemon.

All cocktails are prepared fresh, presented well and full bodied in measures! It was a great place to spend a couple of hours!!

Lovely location for drinks with friends or a partner. Cocktails were 10/10 and service is quick and friendly.

This is what a bar is meant to be, plenty of variaty with all the classics and then some, the place is well hidden and tiny so is a must go if you manage to find it!!

Amazing happy hour. The cocktails are always so so good. It's a small but quirky place that adds to its charm. Excellent service and I'm always a fan of the music they play here.

For the price of the drinks, I feel like they could sort out a few things. The tables are very wobbly. Not great when you've got a £11 in a tall glass. If you're sat near the till, the staff seems to have very loud conversations. I found with mix of that and the music it can be hard to have a conversation.

I had fun here on a date. Service was great and the drinks were really good. It's a bit bright and noisy inside, so could be a little more ambient and comfortable but I guess they're going for more of a laid back and cheerful vibe. Pretty fun overall.

Great little cocktail bar tucked away in the Laines. The staff are very friendly, cocktails are expertly made and the atmosphere is cosy. Highly recommend a visit but it can get busy on a weekend.

The food was so so good 100% coming back! My eggs Benedict was cooked to perfection and my partners full English was to die for might get that next time.

Walked in and tried to have a bit of friendly banter - server said we have to sit down because it’s seated service only. Tried to find a couple spots which felt more lively. We asked for advise where to go and they replied “anywhere but here”. To which the other bar maid said we’re refusing you service and will have to go somewhere else and we had to leave. I was not being obnoxious and was simply just in Brighton for a day or two trying to find new spots. The whole situation unfolded within less than 5 minutes off arrival because I couldn’t make my mind up where to sit. Bartenders if you’re reading this, I’m 29 and I’ve never experienced service like that in my life. Genuinely so bad that I’ve wrote a review. And I very much rarely write them. I’m a little bit flabbergasted. Very weird situation and I the manager should review the CCTV to review. Your staff have put me off this business and hopefully now many others through reading this.

Twisted lemon! The hidden gem 🥹✨🍋 We recently visited for a few cocktails on out date night and each of them did not disappoint! We started with the Autumn Smash - this was super fruity and delicious! It was my partners first cocktail at this establishment. He loved every single sip of it. We then also tried Tequilling me softly - the lychee was so strong in this one and it was incredible. Definitely having this again next time. We finished off on the Summer sling - and this was full of raspberry flavour! It was a rum based cocktail but also tasted similar to a raspberry mojito. The set up is beautiful and the character of the place really fits the name. The staff were lovely and attentive. Relaxing music. Can't wait to come back!!

Great little venue set back from the beaten track. The staff are super friendly and very knowledgable about cocktails. The drinks them selves are amazing and made with soul. Good choice of happy hour cocktails but Limited seating outside.

Sadly didn’t get any food but did have a couple of cocktails 🍹 It was a lovely atmosphere with music and laughter from other tables, the place is only small so is constantly busy but there are other chains that are not too far from each other 👌 You may need to check in with the staff if it’s been a while after ordering your drinks but overall was a nice time there, staff are lovely

Best bar in Brighton, so many lemons, amazing!

This bar is situated down a narrow alley but once you’ve found it, it’s a lovely experience. The friendly staff really make this place special but the cocktails are what we came for and they didn’t disappoint. They happily accommodated my partner’s request for extra olives in his martini and my margarita was so delicious.

Came here last night and had a lovely time. Lovely vibe and the man serving us in the yellow t shirt was really friendly and helpful:)

Food was cheap and sort of ok but the cocktails were grim. My cosmopolitan tasted of cheap orange squash with added chemical sweetener. My wife's kir royale tasted of black currant and lemonade, they were really awful, I cannot understand the good reviews this place gets.

Absolutely top tier cocktail perfection! Heard a lot of great things about Twisted Lemon - a hidden gem in the heart of Brighton that’s definitely worth a visit (okay, maybe not, keep it hidden!) Great first impression - super friendly and attentive team, bubbly welcome and great service! Happy hour deals are great value with so many options depending on your base of choice. Delicious! Note it is 6.95 now as some of the photos are out of date - but still exceptional value, especially for the area! And great times too - most days till 7 Cosy vibe with awesome selection of tunes - outdoor seating and nice decor. Really great place to beat the tourist traps and grab a refreshing mix! Didn’t get to try the food this time round, but will be back for more Happy Hour deliciousness! Go go go!

Cannot recommend this place enough – I’ve visited Twisted Lemon on several occasions and the drinks have always been amazing, with a lovely location for watching the sunset and cosy chilled-out seating. My last visit, my friend dropped her phone behind one of the benches and the member of staff who came to help us spent ages trying to retrieve it with a good sense of humour the whole time. Thank you so much for getting her phone back, we’ll definitely be returning soon :-))

Excellent little cocktail bar, drinks were top quality. The bar had been recommended to us from a nearby stall holder and we are so pleased we went. We were greeted by friendly welcoming staff who were happy to talk through the drinks menu. As other reviews say, venue could easily be missed but be sure to factor it into any trip. Highly recommended 😊

Felt like we'd discovered a hidden spot in the centre of Brighton! Down a bright yellow alley way you'll find a small courtyard and the entrance to the bar. We sat outside. The selection of cocktails were vast. Service was great. They were really attentive even though we were outside. Tasty cocktails too!

We stopped by for a quick drink, which left my girlfriend underwhelmed. But the location was cool and it's a quirky little venue!
