Called in for a bit of lunch as we were in the area, the first time we have eaten here as when it first opened, the menus wasn't to our taste. glad we chose to eat here, they had small menus, but this means that they can perfect what is served. Had the hot beef stottie with fries and the seafood plater it was cooked well and greatly presented. It has a large bar area as well as plenty of outdoor seating. The staff are welcome and professional. I would recommend calling in We have just returned to twin farm for evening meal as we hadn't booked we were told that we would have to have a table in the bar area this didn't make any difference to the food quality or the service. We will definitely return again Another visit to Twin farm this time for Sunday lunch it was very nice and the porsions size was good it's worth a visit but I would recommend calling and making a reservation for Sunday lunch as it was very busy

We went for Sunday lunch us 4 and our dog who was completely relaxed in the environment and satisfied with the treats they offer. My dad ordered for all of us however he forgot to order the starters, so he mixed up the order. The roasts came the second he sat back down, hot and fresh out the kitchen. The staff did incredibly to ensure we also got the starters - again, hot and fresh out the kitchen - even though we were the ones to mess up the order. We left very satisfied with the efficiency, the speed and the hospitality - definitely a place we would recommend and revisit, especially if you have a dog.

Visited today but have to question the prices. Bought the same two pints twice, except ordered a couple packets of crisps for the first round. The price difference was almost £6. When challenged I was told the price of the crisps was £2.40 for both packets, so it seems that I was overcharged. I did question this but conveniently the overpriced purchase couldn’t be located on their tills…£16 for two pints and two packets of crisps was definitely disproportionate.

Excellent lunch time menu, for light meal. This was our first visit and was an impulse move, whilst out with our baby grandson. The staff greeted us with a smile and after sitting at a table we were approached for our drinks order. Drinks arrived quickly and food order take, again food arrived quickly, hot and delicious. We had shawarma chicken on pitta bread with chips and salad. During the meal, staff discreetly enquired if everything was ok and did we need anything. Rounded off with a coffee and a very reasonable bill under £40. Will certainly return.

Very expensive!! Myself and my family visited for my sister's birthday. The staff seemed very fed up and like everything was a chore. I had to regularly ask for utensils and condiments, and plates sat on our table for a very long time once we had finished which put us off getting dessert. The building itself was lovely, well maintained, very clean, and had a great feeling to it. The food wasn't great. Fish and chips- there was 75% batter and 25% fish! Satay skewers were dry, and very small portion size. Should have been warned about spiralled cucumber on the menu as I would have ordered something else if I'd known! Vegetarian options were mediocre and bland. Kids food was great I must say! Great portion size and well presented. It's such a shame that the food and service let us down. We have visited on numerous occasions and found the experience to be the same as above. Very unsure as to whether we would visit again, having been locals since it opened!

Been coming here for many years and really enjoyed watching it evolve into a modern, welcoming pub with brilliant food. Sunday Lunch always hits the spot but my favourite is the evening menu, perfectly sized one side of A5 menu (my heart always drops when I get handed a book!) Always left very satisfied and whilst it's not cheap as such, It's not unfairly priced in my opinion. On a sunny day, the beer garden is large and gets the sun most of the day. Always a good selection of taps and they make the puppy feel welcome! A favourite spot

It's somewhat off my beaten track even though I've worked within the locality many times over. My Friday afternoon turbo drink (maybe my third in a decade) was impeded at the bar by gents approaching their 200 year old birthday. Their infirmity whilst not outrageously invalid, set everyone back at least a week. This made me slightly sad. Once that joyously sweet ale passed through my chops after much anticipation, a state of supreme happiness returned forthwith!

Wow this used to be our go to place every 3 weeks but never again. Went 3 weeks ago and it was awful. Price hike and what a hassle asking for a veggie dinner as I hate Wellington. We left and said cross this off the list. Today we thought maybe it was just a bad day. Bad decision. Ordering veggie dinner without Wellington was frowned upon. Anyway it came. Just veg and yorkshire. We had a side of Yorkshire and potatoes too. Gravy no taste. Potatoes dry as sticks. First time ever we have had to swill plate with salt for taste. Smaller portions. Bigger price and reduced taste. No swede. So basically I had a burnt yorkshire. Dry toasties and chewy cabbage with gravy that had No taste. WILL NEVER GO BACK. OVER PRICED BAD FOOD. AVOID. 40 pounds down the drain for 2 people's Sunday lunch!

Staff are great but so under trained. How can anyone justify not serving a basic pizza which is on the kids menu as a the snack with the rationale that you can only eat off the over-priced and poorly cooked main menu is amazing. And to then get the response that we only want yoy when it's quiet but otherwise this is not a pub and an eating place for others. Sometimes venues need to realise where there income comes from and understand how to embrace and bring it all together into what should be a great, cohesive environment. This is not the place.

I was there today with my husband for Sunday lunch. I chose the chicken breast. Bearing in mind I don't like chicken on the bone we always ask if it is or not on the bone. My husband duly asked the bar staff and they said it wasn't. It doesn't mention either way on the menu. Unfortunately when my food arrived I was disappointed to the chicken breast was still attached to the bone. A waitress was passing by asking if everything was okay and I explained the situation. She passed on my concerns to one of her colleagues, Kally, who listened and was very helpful in rectifying the situation with a replacement meal of what I wanted. As my meal had already been paid for we had a pudding and a partial refund. Kally was very attentive to us, she listened to us, was very friendly and happy to help.

An unplanned pitstop at Twin Farms for a quick bite to eat. First impressions were friendly, and a warm welcome was given. The menu was a little pricey for a luch time snack, but they did offer small plate options. We settled on x2 chicken swarma wraps and lamb tikka loaded fries. Food arrived quite quickly, and there wasn't too much of a wait. The three plates were presented nicely. The loaded fries were described to be topped with a garlic yoghurt and pickled red cabbage. however, when it came, it was more like a teaspoon of sour cream, and there wasn't much red cabbage, making the dish overall quite dry! The lamb was not lamb but was a similiar texture to and tasted like a chopped up lamb burger. It was edible but not worth the £9.50 price tag. The chicken swarmas were deconstructed, served on what was more like a naan bread, and again, it was quite dry with no sauce (other than the tomato sauce we requested) Drinks were fine, the latte could have been hotter. Overall, the food was ok but a little overpriced for the quality. I also didn't like the awkward "to you want to leave a tip" when paying by card. It was quite awkward. 🫣😬

Not only were the portions much smaller, the variety of vegetables poor; amongst them 3 peas and 4 slices of a carrot, and the value for money definitely non-existent at £17! What has happened? Disappointed in what was previously an excellent pub. We decided to have something to eat and were guided to a table with just one menu and no drinks menu/list and told it was table service only. We were asked by a polite server what we wanted to drink and we asked for a wine menu - sorry we don't do one all the wines are written on a blackboard above the bar. So I had to walk back to the bar and read at a distance the 5 white wines/5 rose/5red BUT NO indication anywhere of prices per 125ml/250ml/bottle for any of the wines on offer. The same thing with the beers - the server had to go to find an ale menu to bring to the table then asked if we wanted beer, lager etc again with no prices. We ordered a pork chop and a burger and waited a reasonable amount of time for the meals to be served which was fair enough. What arrived was presented as though they had just been dropped on a plate without even a thought for how it looked. Both meals tasted OK but nothing like the standard that the Twin Farms used to serve. The only dessert menu was on a blackboard that you had to get up to read (apologising to the couple sitting underneath it) so we decided not to bother, got the bill , paid and left. I really find the lack of wine lists or prices unacceptable and just a method to extract more money out of the visitors and diners to the pub.

Really enjoyed my meal and I noticed my friend’s plate was empty too, so we’re both happy campers. We went to Twin Farms for lunch on a cold rainy Monday. We were able to choose the "table service" side where several big groups were already eating so it was pleasantly busy. The main menu items looked expensive and I couldn't see the boards with the vegetarian specials from our seat, so we went for one of the lunch specials. This was an open club sandwich which I was really looking forward to: chicken, bacon and avocado with a fried egg on top - what a great sounding combo. The problem was that it was all a bit dry, lacking perhaps a light sauce to add moisture and glue it all together (the egg was a bit overcooked so the yolk didn't help much), as well as the avocado! In theory the avocado was present, but only as a smear of chilli-ish guacamole on the piece of sourdough. :( As a huge avocado fan, I was very disappointed. 😞 The chicken and bacon was nice enough, but as my husband pointed out, it felt like it'd all been pre-made (bar the egg) and quickly warmed up in a pan and assembled.

Following a business meeting, we all needed a snack and The Twins was en route. Ordered small fish and chips £15, along with a number of friends and hugely disappointed when it arrived. In comparison to the others, mine looked like a kids portion and I am still looking for the fish amongst the batter now! To infuriate more, the waitress on completing her table check, asked if everything was ok, and was told “no, my fish is terrible, and actually, there is no fish inside the batter” ! Her initial response was to offer replacement, but given at this point everyone was almost finished their meals, I declined expecting recourse to be compensated from the bill. Said waitress clearly could not care less, did not further address and I’m now informed by another diner that the meal remained on the bill and got paid for. Result - till benefited from full payment, staff got a nice tip but the business has lost a customer and we will not return. You had your opportunity to address and didn’t - I don’t need the £15, but you certainly need to address customer satisfaction, attention to detail and longevity of customer relations.

The staff all have an energy that exudes that they are happy to be there. You could also tell that the chef here (unlike the Badger) loved his profession/art as the food was incredibly tasty and wonderfully presented. So much so that we have already been back and jogged the memories of friends as a place to go. Even if it's just a coffee or hot chocolate (deeeeeelish), these also are exceptional. It's so refreshing to see some pubs are still using high quality products from the drinks to food. Thank you to all staff and management for your professional turn out and service.

Absolutely amazing sunday dinner. Probably the best iv had. Few young servers. One didnt understand what i was saying when ordering table service and rudely turned and asked another server to help as if we weren't there. I would definitely recommend the food though. Top quality😋

Think it's time Twin Farms had a total refurbishment. Very dark, very old fashioned, really bad lighting. Food was good, service was good. This could be a fabulous pub, just needs a total new, modern look

Terrible food, chose 2 tapas, pil pil and breaded mushrooms. Mushrooms were bland and nothing like pil pil Prawns. Didnt even eat the triple cooked chips, crispy grease, shocking. No Atmosphere there were loud drunk men in and the staff did nothing. Really expensive, £70 for 2 tapas, a burger and a pizza, 2 beers and a coke. Limited menu, not many vegan or veggie options, very poor. Will not be back

Parmo has so much white sauce I had to scrape half off. The Bombay Kabab meat was absolute fire and could not eat from the spice. Chips were stale. Seems this place no longer cares. Ohh added to all that I found a short black hair in my food and deffo ain't mine as I have long brown hair. Its the 2nd bad meal I have had here now. Best walking further and going to Clayton St chippy.

Lovely cafe with great potential . However a couple of the staff seemed as if they had got out of bed the wrong side . I asked a question and was snapped at .

Ordered food and waited an eternity for it. Cutlery was filthy, so asked for more. They brought new from out of dishwasher. It was disgusting, food still caked onto it. Eventually got clean cutlery. Food finally arrived. I had ordered the mushroom and chestnut pie, as I'm vegetarian. Bit into it, and it was meat!! They have young staff working who haven't a clue what they are doing. Got my meal refunded and left. Won't be going back
