I visit the Tunny Catch regularly and enjoyed the food. The hotdog, burger and loaded fries were all spot on and the food was hot. The customer service was first class, very friendly and nothing was to much trouble. A good selection of drinks were available at the bar One of my go-to pubs in Scarborough it never seems to disappoint! Thanks to all the tunny catch team

A lovely warm and cosy atmosphere and very family friendly. Food was tasty, decent portion sizes and great value for money. All staff were friendly and welcoming, a special shout out to Liam who made our visit that extra bit more enjoyable, he deserves at least one free desert per shift🍰.

Lovely pub/ round the corner from my house, came in the other day and was welcomed by Tristan he was fantastic made us feel very welcome when entering and when sat down he always kept checking if we was okay for drinks/food etc 10/10

The team were great, very welcoming and friendly. The loos were very clean. Shame you have to pay for parking even though you are using the pub. Family enjoyed the small play area and the kids menu had a good choice. Made a booking via the website which was very easy.

Good food, reasonably priced and nice friendly pub.

We booked prior to attending and on arrival our table was ready and had been reserved. Menu choices were great, and I opted for the rump steak with the peppercorn sauce. This rush was cooked how I like it, and the sauce was exquisite, I could have bathed in it with a straw! So many pub restaurants do awful chips but these were crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. Fantastic Value for money, the new Bar man was attentive, and we tipped him for his top efforts. My husband had the steak and ale pie, and demolished it. Great location, great choices of wines, beers and food. I will definitely be coming back (for a bucket of peppercorn sauce)

Stick tables and cold day-old chicken served at price that would make your eyes water. Lasagne and fries were microwaved to temperatures both above and below zero. Wait times for food ranging into the hours, and if you find this appealing this is the place for you.

Staff were extremely friendly and attentive even though it was busy and service speed was perfect to meet our needs. Very impressed. We were going to attend a local chain restaurant but decided on this instead and were glad we did as the service was superb and the food and wine was very tasty and good value with an excellent selection which suited our group. Thank you to all the staff - a great dining experience!

Superb service and affordable good quality food and drink

We arrived after visiting Alpamere with no booking. We were given a table, but told it was booked out again for 20:00. The service was prompt and the food was lovely. My only point for improvement was they cleared some of the plates, but left other when they brought desert out.

We were accommodated as a large family group which was great.

Staff very good and friendly, food was served quick and tasted great even though it was busy. The restaurant area was clean, the menu had enough choice and the bar was stocked well with plenty of alcoholic and non-alcoholic options. Only downside is we arrived before 6pm and had to pay for parking until it became free from 6pm.

Great night when it is quiz night. Paul the host is always fun and very engaging. Tristan, front of house is also fantastic, he always ensures we get our favorite table ☺️

...but we weren't expecting much, to be honest. The place was busy with quite a few tables reserved. Well kept beer. The spicy burger was fantastic but the fries weren't piping hot unfortunately. The rather 'portly' barman kept touching his nose, face and hair then picking up the glasses etc - not very hygienic at all!! Someone needs to have a word with him on that one. Given that so many of the reviews on here mention people by name, it was surprising to see that the staff weren't wearing name badges. How did they know? A bit odd that I think.

Went to the tunny for a yummy bottle of wine after work today and was served with a pleasant smile by someone called Tristan I believe. He went above and beyond to assist me in choosing the most spendid wine for me and even got me a bucket with ice. Fantastic place and even better service. Thanks Tristan (if that’s your name)

Went here for food on a Sunday and was greeted by friendly member of staff we had booked a table but we were early, but they said don't worry and our table was ready for and waiting for us. The food was amazing I had the turkey roast dinner which had a lovely braised red cabbage with it. The lady behind the bar was friendly and chatty and was always smiling, and I would like to mention Liam who was friendly and had a laugh with us from the moment we came in If we come back to this area we would definitely go there again

We booked a table last minute, the pub was very quiet so didn’t see the need to book! The service was incredible, friendly staff, great banter, Tristan the manager seemed very friendly and really interactive with us! Brought my daughter some crayons over and stood and spoke to us about our time visiting Scarborough, he made us feel very welcomed in his pub! Next time we are back in Scarborough I will be returning. His cocktail skills are on point! 4x on the beach cocktails, all identical, even the garnish matching in the same places on all four glasses. Thank you for an amazing visit!

Had a great visit to tunny catch for lunch on a wet Saturday. Staff were very friendly, especially Liam who looked after our table. Food was great and really generous portions. Will visit again

We visit Tunny Catch often as it is walking distance from our house. We are always welcomed by incredibly friendly staff who provide a service second to none and are always up for a chat and a laugh. The food is really nice too and great value for money. An excellent selection of alcohol free drinks too. We will defintely continue visiting. Special mention to Liam who made us both feel very welcome and was happy to have a chat and a laugh while serving.

Visit spoilt on this occasion by a group laughing and talking loudly using abusive language as if nobody else was around, staff should have addressed this but nothing done, women and you no children around should not be hearing this type of behaviour . I have visited many times over the years on business and always found the staff friendly and helpful but not all visitors have even basic standards unfortunately

Excellent service and ordering from table made experience whole lot easier. Lady who brought drinks very hospitable and welcoming, no delay or issues with order. Was seated in garden area which did not phase lady who brought drinks.

Unaccomodating. As a coeliac nothing available on a Sunday. Sat with family dining and requested a sandwich. Bread rolls are available so a bit of cheese? Kitchen were asked and said no. Bread roll it is then. Couldn"t be bothered, would rather let you sit and eat nothing for the sake of cutting a bit of cheese to make a sandwich. Shameful. Would give less than 1 but no option to do so. Customer service and hospitality at its finest... NOT. Generous George holds some irony... as for the other diners, food was basic. Yup. Waste of money.

The staff are friendly and polite. The food is really good and so are the prices, there is a good choice and the portions are generous, you never have a long waiting time for your food either unlike some other places we have been. We have been here many times and never had a bad meal. This is our favourite place to eat out when we are in Scarborough.

Food was shocking and service was even worse. All meals terrible. I had a pizza that I had to send back twice as it was literally raw and the cheese hadn’t melted. Came back the first time exactly the same as before. Sent back again and no change. Gave up as no one cared. Rude service at the bar too. Only went as it was close to the open air theatre. Not worth it at all

I had a pleasant experience in the restaurant, the service that Melaniee gave me was very good, she was very kind. The food was delicious. I definitely recommend it.

The barman Dane was very polite and gave good recommendations always smiling and happy to help.

Tristan/Tristen made it really special for my sisters 18th, we did have some issues with the sparklers but he still made it work and the girls who were working with him also made it special, we are definitely coming again, we really enjoyed the company and the laughs that were shared within our family and your team. We had a nice evening at the Tunny Catch. Service was friendly and efficient. Our drinks came to our table within a couple of minutes and the food followed soon after. We were pleasantly pleased with both.

Gone down hil since premier inn arrived I don't know weather that have taken the pub over as well? Not sure but last time we was there the atmosphere and food was incredible we went breakfast a few times where as this time we was told they wasn't serving the food is more of a quick slap and go what you expect from like a hungry horse or something like that has gone down hill. Staff still incredibly nice though good to see that hasn't changed.

Very busy pub but the food, drinks and atmosphere are great. I would book a slot for eating if I was you. Varied menu and the staff are very helpful. Price of food is similar to many eats places, really reasonable
