A desperate coffee stop brought me here yesterday. I should have kept going. Overpriced, terrible coffee with coffee grinds and greasy finger prints all over the lid. Shiver just thinking about it. It went in the bin.

My husband and myself popped in mid morning on a Tuesday, luckily we were able to sit at the last available table. We were welcomed and found the staff very friendly. There was lots of hot and cold food to choose from. We ordered a pot of tea, I had a cheese scone and my husband a sausage bap. We thought the food was nice and we would return if in the area.

Bit expensive you could say better quality produce used or bigger over heads drive cost up .post brexit every penny will count. Swiss bun to dough ratio far to much bun for me so marks n sparks win .

Post lunch time visit & I didn’t feel overly welcome. It should have ticked all the boxes, freshly made & local, plus the fact that nearly all the pre time sandwiches had nearly gone bode well. Brown, Egg Mayo roll, £3.25, even though the more flamboyantly filled & pre made one was only £2.99? How does that work? Dry bread & minimal filling. I wouldn’t bother again. FYI, avoid the plethora of designer oil & vinegar. A brief wobble of the bottles made the contents look like brown water, something not good for balsamic vinegar. The samples to try tasted like they were full of artificially added sugar.

We popped in on Saturday whilst our car was being serviced, not realising they did a full cooked breakfast - and what a feast for just £5. Piping hot coffee too. The ladies behind the counter couldn't do enough for us, they were great. This place is lovely, quaint, and such a good find. A good chance to catch up with the papers too! We never felt rushed, took our time and felt very welcomed.

Stopped by for a light lunch on a Saturday. Busy, there is limited seating, as much of business appears to be take-up. Cheese and onion pasty tasted homemade, and Mediterranean vegetable pizza slice very tasty. Cakes good and big cup of good quality coffee. Polite staff. Will be returning.

Called in here to get a cake for tea. Lovely old premises with a good range of artisan breads as well as the usual suspects. Cakes imaginatively displayed and a good choice. I opted for Banoffee Pie - the slice is HUGE!

Arriving at 3:30 , with clearly 30 minutes left before closing, i was looking forward to a quick coffee and a snack. However, the staff seemed hesitant and reluctant to serve me, saying twice they were closing at 4pm. Coffee was ok, but sausage roll and meat pie were lukewarm and chewy, probably as a result of being in the hot counter all day. Ok it wasn' t so bad. However, at 3:45one of the staff begins to mop the floor around my table with disinfectant. The smell was over powering and wgen the mop was passed under my chair i decided it was time to leave. Overall I felt unwelcome on arrival and the floor mopping was clearly a strong hint for me to leave. Folks, if you do not want customers aftet 3:30 then you should shut the door and change your advertised closing time. Mediocre food and awful service. I recommend avoiding, especially late in the day. I notice there is a nice cafe across the road, which i will use in future.

Thought I would treat myself to a bacon roll for breakfast at the Tudor Bakehouse in Eye. When offered large or small, feeling a little hungry I opted for the large. The lady disappeared out the back armed with her bacon only to return with ‘yesterdays’ unsold roll in a bag, yes it was hard as bullets. On inspection two small rashers of bacon laid side by side on the inside looking somewhat pathetic and lonely wallowing in a few drops of brown sauce. All for the princely sum of £2.80....being somewhat inventive I cut the roll in half, introduced the two rashes (they looked pleased) smothered it with hp, and gave it my best. Save yourself the disappointment not the place for a breakfast roll !

I purchased a Tuna and cheese panini today from Tudor Bakehouse. Got back to my office and when eating it, realised that it was a cheese and onion. The Onion taste was very strong. I did ring up and complained. The young lady was apologetic and promised to make one free of charge when I next went in .

I have been staying locally and visited many of the local tea rooms. Tudor Bakehouse have the very best coffee in town. The cheese scones are particularly good too. And it is far better value than anywhere else in town - competitors please note! And the staff are really, really lovely. We hope to be staying nearby again soon and will return

The freshly made cakes, breads etc are excellent. The small seating area can get crowded. You can get take away from here or from the other branch of the Tudor Bakehouse near the market square which just operates as a bakery if you just want cake or sandwiches.

Came in for a coffee with my partner and met by a middle aged blonde lady working behind the counter. I seem to have arrived at a bad time, 30 minutes before closing. The service was perfunctory at best, cups being slammed down, eyes raised when I asked for hot milk in my coffee and a general unwillingness to engage. A couple of people arriving after us had the same 'can't be bothered' treatment so cancelled their order and left.Until now I have only ever written positive reviews but, frankly, if it's all too much trouble I won't be coming back.

I was visiting Harleston in Norfolk, a small market town, and I called in to The Tudor Bakehouse for a coffee. It is family owned bakery selling a whole range of bread and cakes, with an area set aside for customers to enjoy a coffee. Not only was the coffee superb and most welcome, but I tried a piece of Christmas Stollen made in the bakery. I have eaten Stollen from Germany and Holland, and also those sold by Aldi and Lidl in the UK, and I can honestly say that this was the best ever, with a generous filling of marzipan running throughout. I also took away some bread, and again a wonderful old fashioned flavour, that would put supermarket bread to shame. If you are ever in the area, call in and see for yourself. You won't regret it.

I’ve read some reviews of barnham broom. I can’t believe anyone would give it a 5 star rating. Stayed there two nites with friends, We ate at the brasserie on the first day, three starters were sent back and because they were so bad(dried and rubbery) we ordered crab cakes instead, Two had pieces of shell to them. As of mains. Duck cooked ok but orange sauce brown tasteless sludge. Vegetables over cooked. Hashed potatoes square stodgy block. The main that was of reasonable taste was the canalone. Did’nt bother with pudding as you might of guessed. Wine overpriced(39.95 for an ordinary Prosecco). As for the sports bar. It was so bad I haven’t time to write everything. Service was terrible.orders wrong. Food out at different times.Worst was none tasted halfway decent. I found it difficult to give the place one star. I will go back to play golf as both courses good, especially the valley course but will eat and drink somewhere else.shame as setting and views lovely. .
