Truly Scrumptious cafe in Shepway

I go to this cafe every week and always get a warm welcome the staff are always friendly the food is great and it’s always clean I will always recommend people to visit

Our first visit, absolutely excellent evening. From entertainment to food. Food was excellent with attention to detail. We have already rebooked and can't wait

We drove up from Littlestone, tempted by the vegan menu. We were not disappointed! The cafe was busy (always a good sign!) and there was plenty of seating. I'm unsure if dogs were allowed inside but they certainly were outside where there's plenty of under cover seating. The food was really really nice - I had a tuna and cheese toastie and my (vegan) husband had a full breakfast. There were plenty of other vegan options for him on the menu too. There was an excellent selection of cakes (again, 2 or 3 vegan options). I took a large slice of the spiced apple cake home and it was 10/10 - tasty, fresh and homemade. Last but not least, the service was great. Lovely staff who all engaged well with the customers and it was actually really nice to see lots of them smiling and chatting to each other rather than overworked and stressed! We'll be back!

Tucked away in Hythe but worth finding. Open and very friendly with plenty of room outside and In. Good range of offerings and good quality and freshly made/cooked Quality ingredients match the super friendly service - thank you

great for waiting a long time for disappointing food!! no mozzarella to be found in my mozzarella chicken pesto panini.

waited 56 minutes for a chicken pesto mozzerella panini that didnt even have mozzerella in it very disappointing!!! no one was apologetic and it was quite expensive

We were advised about the wait upon arrival (of about 30 minutes) which was fine. After 1hr and 10 minutes and still nothing but the drinks (which had arrived within 5 minutes of ordering) and with 4 children in tow it was not so great. When food arrived there were a number of mistakes in the order which either had to be changed or we lived with. Staff weren’t apologetic and we couldn’t wait to leave. I appreciate a small place in summer is always going to have its ‘stretch’ days, but even so it was a disappointing experience.

Fantastic place to eat in Hythe, very friendly, great food, you can sit outside in the sun or under shelter which is great when visiting with your dog. They also have dog treats too. Great prices and delicious food

Took Mum there for lunch. 12-04-2024. The staff were wonderful. Just so happy and helpful . Nothing was an effort. Food was great and a very reasonable price. Can't praise enough . Thank you will be visiting again. 😊

Lækreste Full English vi har fået på turen. Frisk og veltilberedt, lækkert håndskåret brød. Vi valgte den store Full English, men kunne nemt være blevet mætte med den lille. Hyggeligt sted med god betjening.

Wow! We just stumbled on to this cafe. Loved it. A very warm welcome and a lovely atmosphere. All three of us chose the soup of the day - fish chowder. It was delicious. The bread served with it was very tasty and there was enough butter to spread it generously. There was also cauliflower soup on offer. Although we were no longer hungry we couldn’t turn down the cakes. Much deliberation and we had a pot of tea and a slice of ginger cake - perfectly sticky, moist and spongy, snd also had a helping of winter apple spiced cake - an apple strudel of a sponge. We would have enjoyed some cold custard or some thick cream with them but to be honest that would have been REALLY greedy. We will definitely visit again next time we are in the area and hope to be really hungry so we can enjoy more cake.

I popped in for some coffee and cake on my way to work. First time but I felt very welcome. Lovely staff, polite and welcoming. Latte was lovely, full of flavour. I will be coming back again!

What a lovely breakfast and wonderful hot coffee. A little treat with your coffee as well. Jo and Dom always welcome us warmly and today was no exception. Thank you for looking after us so well. Definitely worth a visit.

Visited today with friends. We had coffees then ordered some food. I ordered a sausage bap but when my food arrived it was a bacon bap. When I questioned it the man who owns it who brought my order said well that's what you ordered. When I said I hadn't he wasn't going to change his reply, so I ate the bacon bap. This happened once before and it turned out he had brought me the wrong order. Does it not occur to him that the person who took the order or the one who cooked it could make a mistake? Other than that, the food there is good. I go there quite often, just don't question your order!

We discovered Truly a year or so ago during our house search. Now we live here we try to go most Fridays. It's owned and run by a husband and wife team who are just brilliant. They have a lovely team of staff too. The service is unbeatable, the food is not only delicious but very reasonable priced. Even if they are busy you never have to wait long. The tea is great... served in pots with cosies. Love it there!!! And always recommend it to friends and family.

The breakfast was delicious, excellent value and set us up for our walk to Folkstone. We will definitely be returning. The coffee was good, the staff friendly and the venue spotless, love the decor in the loo.

Wow oh wow such a wonderful place. From the bourbon with my pot of tea, the savory food cooked to perfection, the warm brownie, amazing prices... So welcoming. So clean! Loved the little basket of toys and books and the tiny cushions for the highchairs. Could this be my favourite cafe ever? Wish I lived here so I could be a regular but will definitely come every time I visit family in the area.

Came in for a meal with my family and had a lovely time. Staff so welcoming and went the extra mile to make sure we had a great experience. Lovely atmosphere. Food is so tasty and at such reasonable prices. We will certainly be visiting again!

Customer service very good, food nothing special and visit ruined by VERY rude man in kitchen when I was attempting to see if the toilet was free. Would not recommend or return.

Visiting Hythe for work. The service was excellent and they have lovely outdoor seating. Only had an omelette which was delicious. The lady serving was really helpful and gave me Options. I will return
