The cafe was ok it was a very busy which was nice so we could have a coffee in relatively peace and however we did sit there for quite a while before somebody acknowledge us and came over to us there was no signage saying whether they would come to the table or we should go to the counter which was very however I can say the lady that served us was very sweet and very polite and we were served quickly and the coffees were hot

Had a great breakfast which inluded coffee and toast. Mypartner had poached eggs on toast and a side of black pudding and I had the works!

Absolutely beautiful… lovely and fresh piping hot,nothing to much trouble.. disabled ramp if you ask .give it a try you won’t be disappointed

Okay breakfast, service was good.

Was a bit of a struggle to locate easily but once we found it, we were extremely chuffed once we took bites into our baguettes! The food quality was fantastic, the sausages are proper herby and meaty and the bacon was of decent thickness! The baguette was freshly baked making it nice and crispy! And the chips were pretty good as well! Would 100% return and recommend!! The waitress wasn't the most cheerful but it was the day before New Year's Eve and was pleasant enough, so take that as you will! Would still return!

Restauracja położona w super miejscu z fajnym widokiem zwłaszcza w pogodne dni. Moje śniadanie było smaczne ale nie zachwyciło. Śniadanie jak wiele innych bez historii.

Lovely cappuccino and bacon sandwich (really nice white sliced bread!). Great friendly staff, was just a bit quiet but then again it was a grey Tuesday morning. Would recommend (think they are still cash only though so bring change, but good value!).

Went with 33 students: definitely tested the kitchen and waiting staff! We'd booked ahead and we were all grouped together on separate but neighbouring tables. Food was awesome. Proper full English breakfasts and as much extra toast as we wanted. I had some great cups of tea, and everyone else was happy with the drinks they chose. Staff were very patient despite some students changing their orders at the last moment, and we weren't even charged for a breakfast cancelled when it arrived (sorry). Nice location near the harbour as well, was great to pop out and watch the tide coming in. I highly recommend.

This is a good-sized restaurant, right on the quay, with exceptionally, pleasant, helpful staff. It caters for disabled people and is dog friendly, unlike the Harbour Inn. Service is rapid, even on busy days and there is a good selection of food available. My only complaint is that there is a very poor menu for vegetarians and vegans. I chose the meat-free breakfast (served all day) and this is ok if you like potato and beans. I could be mistaken, but it seemed that in addition to the two hash browns, the bubble and squeak pattie and the deep-fried vegan sausage seemed to be made out of the same mash. The tomatoes were cooked and the beans were hot. There were plenty of mushrooms. Vegetarian options included the obligatory macaroni cheese and a grated cheese (cheddar) salad. In all, there was not a lot on offer. My wife's mushroom omelette was passable but overcooked. But, if you are looking for good, old-fashioned fish and chips, a traditional breakfast and a range of other favourites, from what I could see, this is the place to come.

absolutely excellent food, have been back twice in 2 weeks now and both times first class food and service, even though i just have ham 2 eggs and chips and friend has the most perfect burger ever, it could not be cooked better than it is, all food is locally sourced where possible, i cannot praise it enough so well done all at the captains table

Food great. Staff helpful and friendly. Atmosphere lovely, right near harbour. Can get busy at weekends as very popular. Dogs are welcome.

I know the breakfast here is 10000% amazing but the lunch is on top of the world. The jacket potato is very moorish and so delectable my husband says the captains burger is the best burger he has ever had.

If I could give this place a 1000 out of 10 I certainly would. The captains breakfast is my ultimate favourite here and my pregnant army veteran wifey absolutely craves there awesome poached eggs. There is no place in Folkestone that does a banging breakfast like here.

Situated on the harbour arm, this cafe has an extremely varied menu, from breakfasts to fish, burgers, jacket potatoes and sandwiches, pannini's etc. These are all reasonably priced, cooked to order and the portions are huge. Excellent value for money.

We happened on this little restaurant by chance! Originally we were only going to have a coffee, sit outside and enjoy the sunshine! We looked at the menu out of curiosity and were pleasantly surprised by the choice and the very reasonable prices. We both had Paninis which came with a very tasty and well presented salad. It was gorgeous! The staff are all very nice and the inside is spotless. We will definitely be back. Thank you.

Poor hospitality and customer Service. Once entered the bistro, We Where about to grab some coffee. As there was a queue We decided to use the facilities instead of waiting. We Where asked to leave 2 minutes after entering and told to ask to use wc next time. THE LADY ENTERED TOILET IN THE MIDDLE OF USE. Well, after this unprofesional behaivior of one of the staff members 100% not coming back.

Very rude staff. Just wanted to buy a coffee and use the toilet. Staff member came to the toilets and was talking very rude, like we did something really horrible. So ending up buying can of coke and giving to staff as a gift. VERY POOR!

Ate here a few weeks ago for the first time. Had to wait a little but food hot and tasty on arrival. One portion of chips between two would suffice. Was very busy and a bit noisy with all the chatter but would return again.

Very busy, but there is plenty of seating inside and some outside. It is a dog friendly place. Quick service, friendly staff, good food which is good value for money.

Nice food and very clean. You can also take your dog-dogs in with you as they are dog friendly.

Lovely, friendly service! Perfect location with a good menu selection. Menu items were a little pricier but you are paying for the convenience of location and great service. The hot chocolates and lattes looked amazing! I opted for a mocha, but wish I had chosen one of those as they were cheaper and looked delicious!

All was good food and service an excellent local cafe

Fantastic English breakfast & latte, parking was free for up to 2 hours directly outside (if you manage to get a space), plus prices seem reasonable too. It was the perfect stop off for 4 cold bikers on a December bike ride. We will be back (when it gets a bit warmer 🥶)

Nous sommes venus hier midi avec nos 3 ados. Il y a du choix dans les menus et les portions sont vraiment généreuses. Vraiment top pour nos ados en pleine croissance 😃 C'était très bon, tres bien présenté (bravo) et le personnel est agréable et souriant. Merci La déco est très jolie. Bravo C'est un établissement fréquenté par les locaux et c'est 'dog friendly' : les chiens sont bienvenus. Une bonne adresse ! Prévoir d'aller à la cash machine, la CB n'est pas acceptée.

Very awkward experience. Maybe it was where we were seated but staff couldn't stop staring at us which we found to be extremely unprofessional. When we first walked in we didn't mind the staring but once we started to eat four of the staff kept doing it. We think they may have heard us mentioning that we noticed but persisted to do so. Asian girl with glasses didn't stare so much but we did notice but girl with the tattoos couldn't stop as well as the man and another lady who actually went to the back thinking that she wouldn't be seen, however they were polite. Nevertheless, the food was just about ok. Two of my family members didn't enjoy it so much but wasn't bad they said, my meal was decent and nothing to really complain about. Tip for future customers....DONT SIT OPPOSITE THE COUNTER. Other than that food was alright

Very beautiful spot, indoor or outdoor eating or drinking. Friendly helpful staff. Great variety of foods and drinks, from light bites to big breakfasts. The only issue we had is its cash only and the local cash machines were all charging from £1.90 to £2.00 to withdraw cash. We had a cold drink which was nicely chilled. We had pannini which came with a small side salad, this gadca very refreshing dressing on it. Very nice. All very reasonably priced.

Came in with the family looking for a mid-morning snack, they ignored us for 10 minutes then told us that food would take half an hour - total waste of our time. It wasn't even busy. We wanted to give them money, they had better things to do, i guess business is going well if they can afford to turn away customers.
