Tower Tandoori in Southwark

I walked in this place with my family which was mostly empty BTW. And was told that they couldn't seat us because it might get full. So we should go online and make a reservation. Okay buddy not my first rodeo. I'll spend my money where I'm welcomed.

Delicious, we were passing by London and wanted to try proper British chicken tikka masala and we weren't disappointed!

The food was so sweet, it felt like i am going to get diabetes from it. They tried to hide their bad quality food behind british curries however I have been to multiple Indian restraunts like Dishoom and Brigadiers who serve dishes suited for english palette however this was nothing like it. The rating seems to be coerced.

I use this restaurant for both takeaways and to eat in. Food is always good. My only comment is that the takeaway menu does not include all of the items which one can have in the restaurant itself - but that is understandable. Service is also good.

Return visit to Tower Tandoori after a few years and i must say very impressed with the refurb. Invited by a few local friends, we went to dine in the restaurant on a busy Wednesday night. A lot has changed since the last time I came, toilets have been moved to the bar area and by far the best looking I’ve seen. Food has been updated and tastes delicious as usual. My new favourite Jardaloo Ghost nice and spicy dish Staff and management always friendly and the ambience. Definitely recommend and see you guys soon..

After reading some reviews I decided to book here. We were on family holiday, staying at the Marlin apartments) and needed a table for 10, including 2 small children. After a very friendly welcome the staff took their time explaining the menu and catering to our needs. They made a special children’s dish for our two boys. They really went out of their ways to make sure we got everything we needed. Two starters as a main, as I said two special plates for the children, one dish was spicier than expected and they just made a new one! And one of us decided to have a second portion of his main dish! No problems at all! All the dishes really fresh, smelled delicious, and they were! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone!

The welcome is warm from the servers. The dishes are tasty and pleasantly spicy. A must-visit restaurant in London.

I was making a indian at home so I popped in this establishment to purchase some bread and popadums ,but I was disappointed that the popadums were all crushed in an bag and there was about two of them for the price of 4:50 .

Chicken tikka was too spicy and not sweet enough. Just tasted like Chicken Jalfrezi and also the meat was chewy and not soft

I don't know where to start, the service? The food? The ambiance? Let's start with the food...chicken butter masala was mind-blowing!!! We almost ordered a second dish. Also, lamb chops are a must. Aloo gobi was delicious as well as the mixed grill. Definitely recommend and can see why the rating is so high based on the delicious food and top-notch service. We will be back!

Food was average and overpriced. One onion bhaji, two mains, one rice, one naan, one coke, one beer cost over £80!!!! Will nit be returning

Silton was very nice. And the barkeeper was too and seemed like a genuinely good person. The desert however was overpriced for the small portion I got and pretty average. I came in bc their takeout menu looked good and cheap, got a gin & tonic and a lemon & raspberry sherbet but it was two tiny scoops of each and the raspberry one was like ice flaky. For 8.50 pounds and 10.99 dollars it was kinda disappointing . The gin and tonic was normal. Pretty sure silton could tell I was not too happy (and saw that I was writing a review lol) so he brought me 2 little milk dumplings and they were interesting and good. And then he also marked down my bill so I was pleased with that. The restaurant was completely empty other than me and the employees so I should have taken that as a sign but it was very pretty. The chair was comfy but I couldn’t sit at the bar properly bc there was no overhang lol. Anyway what I got was overpriced and mid at best but they were very friendly and tried to make up for it. Maybe their dinner is better. Still ended up being 17 pounds after he marked something off.

Eten was goed. Niet teveel en niet te weinig. Goed geprijsd en de service was goed. Ik zou mijn vrienden dit restaurant wel aanraden. Eet smakelijk alvast.

Lovely restaurant. I love the atmosphere and calm music where you can actually listen to the other person. Great service by Sultan. We ordered mutton rogan josh and aloo gobi. Although I have probably had better rogan josh..for the service and their Gulab Jamun I’d give them a 5 star. They also gave us complimentary mango lassi and a rose which I thought was beautiful.

Siam our server was fantastic. Food was delicious.

First to start with when I asked for table, the server asked me to first chk prices before offering a table. I had samosa chat which was completely ruined by full of tangy sauce. I ordered curries for take away, it felt like veggies have been boiled added in with some premade curry sauce before calling it a curry. Completely tasteless and a complete waste of my 50 GBP. If you are looking for Indian food, then I do not recommend this place unless you are prepared to waste your money.

Felt Like Home Away from Home We’re a group of 30 from Bangladesh visiting London, and staying at the Marriott Residence nearby. One evening, we walked over to Tower Tandoori, and honestly, it felt like home. The food was so good—everything had the right balance of spices. The biryani reminded us of the flavors we grew up with, and the naan was soft and fresh. Even though we were a big group, the staff were so welcoming and made sure we were all comfortable. It’s not easy to find a place that can make you feel this close to home when you’re so far away. We left with happy hearts and full stomachs!

Great Spot for a Big Group Near the Marriott! We came to Tower Tandoori as a group of 30 people from Bangladesh while staying at the Marriott Residence nearby. Great location! Very easy to go to.. Coming to London for the first time on visit from bangladesh with a group of 30 people.We stayed locally at the Marriot Hotel. A Special Night for All of Us Our group of 30 was visiting London from Bangladesh and staying near Tower Bridge. Tower Tandoori was just a short walk from the Marriott, and we decided to have dinner there together. From the moment we arrived, the staff treated us so kindly, like they understood how special it was for us to be together in a new place. The food was excellent—we loved the biryani, chicken tikka, and the hot naan straight from the oven. The flavors were authentic, and it really brought back memories of gatherings at home. We laughed, shared stories, and enjoyed every bite. It was a beautiful evening we won’t forget.

The food is overpriced, and the quantity of food is very less compare to the price you pay, the food taste also not good and we ordered Prawns as starter for £11.50 and we got only 2 small pieces prawns which is not worth it at all ! Not recommended.
