Eastern Cuisine in Southwark

We recently tried a new curry house as our regular stopped serving Lamb Tikka Masala and can honestly say this is our new favourite Indian takeaway. Hands down the most delicious curries. We live in East Dulwich and have tried many around here but genuinely nothing compares. The naan breads are so soft and onion Baghajis are delightful!

Exceptional food, all of it. Apna was our favourite now this place equals it.

Order from here all the time, and it’s usually amazing. Tonight the food was all reheated, stodgy and pretty average. Samosas and bargys were soggy , rice was sticky and solid and everything was lacking flavour

The food was an hour late and Luke warm. I had to heat it up. Apart from that is was good. A freebie or a discount would have helped

The food was so tasty, and good sized portions. Average timing for delivery for a Saturday :) Absolutely no complaints. Will definitely be ordering again

The food is really good and portion sizes are good as expected for the price, it's worth it even if it does arrive a little late sometimes.

We ordered from here after seeing it had won carious awards. We got rice, nan, paneer (main) and lamb rogan josh. The food was pretty good, it is probably one of the better Indians in the SE. Fairly reasonable pricing. The food is a bit salty.

Not impressed at all with the takeaway food from here. Lamb really hard and chewy, vegetables undercooked to the point of being raw. If it had been served to me in a restaurant I'd have sent it straight back. Zero care put into the cooking of the food.

I have only ordered takeaway from this place but I have to say hands down this is the best curry house I have ever tasted. The richness of the meal sauces, depth of flavour and quality of ingredients. Amazing. I must have ordered from here about 20 times, will continue to come back and one day will book a table to eat straight of the kitchen. Well done guys!

Great food but If you order takeaway from their website you should see the delivery time slot as a best guess! Twice ordered for 1945. Both times it was at least 30 mins late.

Some of the meat was tough or chewy so the dishes hard to enjoy

Food was cold when it arrived because the driver couldn't find the property. Quality of the food was pretty poor too.

The food served was pretty average, not a lot attention to flavour and taste, bordering on bland for Indian dishes. The portions were extremely small, and therefore overpriced. I would not be ordering from this restaurant in a hurry again.

the chicken tikka was fine. 4 pieces of the 7 chicken in the passanda were stale rubber. Maybe just a cheap tuesday drawback. Never had poor chicken from here before.

Iv never been disappointed with anything iv even had from here.nice little eat in restraunt that u can bring your own alcohol too.the area they deliver too is quite large too. I ordered with delivery, to begin with I was delivered at 7:50 p.m. instead of 7:20 p.m. and also without the drinks even though I was charged for them. And when I call the restaurant there is no answer!

Went in to order takeaway but the whole untidy presentation of the place was off putting so left.

Great to see our local takeaway collecting for the local foodbank - which is what I think previous reviewer referred to as untidy! I am proud to support an award winning business which cooks great food AND supports its local community. Give me heart and 'untidy' over sylish and uncaring.

I think there is more flavour in Sainsbury’s own plain flour than there was in my Biryani and Samosa. The meal had a strange colour, the closest thing to “flavour” I could taste was burnt sauce. I can only applaude them on the naan bread which to my surprise it wasn’t an absolute disappointment. As my Latin namesake once said, Marcus Aurelius, “that which is not good for the bee hive is not good for the bees”. The beehive is Greater London and that which is not good for Greater London is this establishment. Yours sincerely, Disappointed .

Wish I could rate this a 0 out of 5, uncooked vegetables in my food, burnt biryani so bad couldn’t even finish it. Sincerely dissatisfied.

Started ordering here recently since my local Nepalese place in Sydenham has gone downhill sadly. This place is a quite anglicised version of Indian curry, but it is a decent effort, and its very reliable. Above average place worthy of 3 out of 5.

We have just moved to the area and decided to try the local curry. While the service was exceptional the takeaway was well presented but had absolutely no flavour at all.

Some of it was cold. Otherwise it was good. Just a shame about the temperature.

I ordered my food at 17.58 it arrived 19.26 the delivery man was rude my partner was at intercom when he rang buzzer telling him to push door and he ignored us I opened window and shouted down to him he needs to push the door with that the force made to door I'm amazed the door didn't break he then proceeded to leave the food on door step I shouted down that I have a baby and his job is to bring it up to door he then smashed the bag onto the door said it isn't opening and left it on doorstep broken poppadoms and foil tray all burst open he makes your company look bad with his rude customer service

Best takeaway curry I've had in a while! You can tell the ingredients were fresh, the paneer seemed to be made in house. I will be ordering again for sure

Good quality and very tasty as always. A little late this time but they let me know, and wasn't an issue. Previously they delivered early if anything.

I have ordered from here many times before. It's usually good but a couple of the dishes this time were terrible. One chicken dish was unnaturally green and another horribly red with food colouring. I give this order 1 star for item quality and 4 for delivery time.

The food was very tasty! They included a tester for some food which I will definitely order again.

Good quality. Sag paneer was delicious, as was the Paneer Shashlik. Shame no extras like salad to accompany both Shashliks, or even complimentary poppadoms. A£40 takeaway for two - on the pricey side.

All the food was really lovely, tasty and good quality. Except for the lemon rice which had hard lumps of bitter lemon rind in. We will definitely order again, but won’t order lemon rice.

Really nice food. Definitely enough meat/chicken contrary to previous reviews. The only criticism I would have is that the Madras is too tomatoey. More like a hot Tikka Masala. If you cut the tomatoes a little bit it would be amazing

Have ordered delivery 5 times, always excellent. My favourite is Shaslik chicken. They do their own deliveries, and are very pleasant. I am going to the restaurant tonight to check out the atmosphere.

Easily one of the best Indian restaurants/takeaways I have tried in London. Prawn puri, chicken tikka masala, keema naan all absolutely outstanding, delicious and good quality, not greasy. Prices not bad. I can’t wait to order again and try some different things.

The food was awful, ordered a Balti curry, it literally tasted like tomato purée or tomato soup, and the madras didn’t have flavour. Most of it was cold, we didn’t eat any of the curry and ended up ordering dominoes. Very disappointed.

I paid £9.95 for Tikka Masala chicken and I got 5 Pieces of chicken and an industrial quantities of tomato sauce

The lamb was tough and the food was generally tasteless. Such a disappointment.

Just moved to the area. Luckily, I have this gem just around the corner. Thoroughly enjoyed our first meal. The first of many many more.

Arrived piping hot 🔥 - A+ for delivery! Must have arrived early as it suprised me. Very tasty Lamb Dansak, Saag bahji, lemon rice and fresh garlic naan. A colourful plate staring back at me. Decent price for these days. I shall be ordering again. Though for now, I have half left to look forward to 😋
