I have been coming to this lovely neighbourhood restaurant for several years, and I have never been disappointed. They have a very good range of vegetarian and vegan choices. But even better is the friendly, warm service from Maz and his team. Thank you so much for a memorable night!

Visited this lovely curry house for my mums birthday based off a recommendation from friends. Food was delicious, we had the lamb shank jalfrezi which was ‘fall off the bone’ tender. The service was great, Maz and the gentlemen were really friendly and helpful, giving us great recommendations. All round 10/10 🤌

Dulwich Tandoori is the best Indian restaurant in Dulwich, maybe even the whole of south London! The service is always impeccable from the moment you walk in. On my most recent visit I was greeted and served by the lovely Maz. The staff are very attentive and welcoming, nothing is ever too much trouble. The food is delicious, the portions are generous and there is something for everyone. they have all the traditional dishes you would expect and a lot of specialities. They even have a great vegan selection, which is appreciated. Overall, it is clear to see why this restaurant has been in business for over thirty years. I cannot recommend it enough, you must go!

I recently went to this restaurant for the first time and I was not disappointed. The welcome that we received was very warm and friendly, we were greeted by Maz who went over and above to make us feel welcomed. The service was very quick even though the restaurant was very busy for a week day. I ordered the pawn biryani which tasted amazing, Maz ensured that it wasn't too spicy as I'm not a lover of favours that set your mouth on fire. The portion sizes are very generous so there was even enough to take home. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to my family and friends.

Super disappointed with my takeaway experience from here. We ordered 6 popadoms and this is all that arrived. Zero flavour in the curries as well and cost over £40 (including a discount) for just curries, rice and popadoms.

Firstly I would like to apologise on behalf of all of us (My cousin and her family who were visiting from the USA) for not writing a review earlier. We all had a wonderful dinner at the Dulwich Tandoori, some time in June. Maz and the DT Family/Staff has been super lovely to all of us. They even let my partner take their chutneys which were served with the papadam (papar). We all had such a laugh with the staff and Maz at the end of our dinner. It was very kind and generous of them to offer us free drinks after our dinner. We all ended up having tea/coffee and some delicious chocolates. Thank you very much and we hope to see you soon :)

Food and service fantastic - one of the best Indian restaurants I’ve had outside of Singapore, one of the top in the area definitely (and I’ve eaten at a lot as an amateur chef/25+ years in southeast Londoner) Placed an online order over the weekend but didn’t get to eat it due to a family emergency . Went to enjoy for lunch today and realised I didn’t ask about allergies; called up at 1pm (restaurant was closed) the employee who answered initially asked me to call back at 5pm - although his English was limited, we managed to communicate enough to reassure me it was cream used in the paneer so I could eat it. And (along with the rest of the dishes) it was delicious !!!! Was so grateful for his patience, kindness and perseverance. I am as very happy customer and will definitely be ordering again. I even got a delivery app meal deal so had a variety of dishes. Naan bread and papadums, condiments and onion salad very fresh. Will come and eat in next time to try other dishes as I’m local to the area. Thanks so much Dulwich Tandoori.

We ate with the family late on Saturday night 27th July after a delayed flight back to the UK. We phoned up and were pleased they could fit our group of 6 in before closing. Have been here before a few years ago and remembered the food was good but even better this time. Absolutely fantastic food and great service from Maz. Happy to whole-heartedly recommend and will be back.

Maz and his colleagues do a fantastic job here! The food is delicious and the quality is consistently high. The prices are such good value too. There’s a reason so many people are regulars here, myself included. They’re really local heroes and deserve to be here for another 50 years so they can celebrate their 100th anniversary!

Not sure where the curry was or the heat for that matter being a vindaloo. Overly priced not great food. DO NOT recommend this restaurant. Oily food and more sauce than anything. On a plus positive note, epic naan and poppadoms

I was extremely disappointed with my experience at your restaurant. The cleanliness was unacceptable: sticky tables and benches, dirty glasses, and used toothpicks littering the ground on the way to the bathroom, which had a strong smell of sewage and was visibly unclean. The food quality was equally poor. The papadums tasted off, and the mango sauce was watery with no discernible mango flavor. The rice was greasy and overcooked, and the meat was of very low quality, lacking any authentic taste. Additionally, it's inappropriate for staff to comment on customers' drink choices. I can't drink alcohol and prefer not to have soft drinks, so water was my only option. What customers choose to order should not be subject to judgment.
