Burritos are big enough to be an entire meal by themselves. Tacos are small in my opinion, definitely not as valuable as they are priced, there's a place in Sunderland that makes it better (in some aspects, not all). The 5-8PM deal is great value and their loyalty scheme is rather insane value if you get it. Churros are good enough to have a cheat day for, shame about those allergic to nuts though.

Great experience from start to finish We were given tasters to help us choose our perfect burrito. All the staff were polite and helpful but Jack was particularly helpful and friendly despite being a mackem. He is a credit to the business and will definitely encourage you to return. Food was delicious and you get a lot.

Had a lovely experience in tortilla today to make use of the offer, food was lovely and the server on the till, Zara, was very friendly and convinced us to get some churros which did not disappoint. Will be back 🙌

Used to be 5/5 but now they've removed the best item on their menu so I don't go anymore - grilled chicken - please bring it back!

Good tasting fast food. Can't complain about the taste of Tortillas burritos which cost about £7.20 for a medium. There are plenty of fillings to choose from. The one real issue I have with this place is not being able to hear the people that serve you. The music is always so loud you cannot hear what they are saying, especially when you have 3ft of counter space and glass between you.

Not allergy educated. I asked if either rice option had citrus in them as I’m highly allergic and the guy serving me didn’t understand. I had to ask several times, and didn’t get a straight answer. Instead he just described the taste of the rices, despite me asking the question in multiple different ways. Another employee was able to tell me in the end. While I appreciate that English may not have been his first language, if he heard the word allergy repeatedly and wasn’t understanding the question, it was his responsibility to ask a different member of staff to step in to ensure the safety of customers with food allergies.

Biggest pile of dog food, not hot, not very appealing, service not good, didn't tell me it was card only, definitely not be back.

Quick update to say a massive thank you to the staff here and especially Jack who helped when a family member became unwell and made sure we were all looked after. Top work and thank you so much. Has a subway type feel in terms of how the food order is processed and moved down the line. Had a chicken burrito which was delicious and the nachos with cheese on the side was excellent. Decent price. Certainly somewhere I would go back to.

Customer service from Jack was above and beyond. Enjoyed our first visit. It was very quiet when we went but atmosphere was still good considering it was empty. We'll be back.

Took 20-25 minutes to get 1 portion of churos despite 6 members of staff doing not a lot. (One guy was busy texting and taking calls on his mobile phones).

Had the tres tacos and my friend had a the baked burrito. Excellent food, loads of choices in meat, and the atmosphere is decent. Easily accessible and fast service are an added bonus. I will definitely be returning for more tasty Mexican munchables.

Called in for a takeaway lunch on a crazy busy Saturday in Newcastle. I have to eat gluten free so used the app to ascertain my options and went for nachos con queso. I told the server I was gluten free but sadly they were so busy as my order was passed along the line they didn’t go through options of toppings etc as previously had on visits however it was delicious & I had no dietary reactions.

Total joke. Ordered on Just Eat at 19:55 with the advertised delivery time being 30-45mins. It is currently 22:02 and I am yet to hear where my order is or if I am going to receive it. It says online that the restaurant is closed now. Could have done with a call to let me know it would be late? Will never order again no matter the quality of the food, i implore everyone so stay clear of this place

Jack was absolutely fantastic with us. First time we had been to Tortilla and Jack went out of his way to kindly explain everything perfectly so we could make our burritos exactly how we wanted. They were incredibly delicious and we will 100% be coming back!

The person who took our order was extremely rude. She was barely audible and we could hardly understand her. She had zero customer service skills. The person who gave us our food was really lovely I think his name was Jack. The food wasn't great and definitely not worth the price. The tray they gave us was absolutely filthy.

If u guys go here, try finding the guy called Jack, tall brown hair. Telling u he’s the best person at a food store I’ve met, even insisting me free drinks cus I came on a budget. Friendly guy, I told him how it’s my first time ordering a burrito. Think of it like them chipotle shops in America but with the friendliness and atmosphere of a local British owned cafe.
