My family go to the shop for fish and chips. Fantastic quality and price 10 out of 10

Very disappointed. We've eaten here before and expected a wait as it was great last time.unfortunately the wait was longer and the food was nowhere near as good! Cod was way over cooked, dark thick batter made the outside tough whilst the inside was chewy and dry. Would have gone back and complained but after the nearly 40 minute wait didn't think it was worth it. Think we'll avoid next time.

Just been mugged ask for a double cheeseburger and only receive the single quality of the meat very tasteless very cold in the middle of the patty just feels like it was just about cooked on the outside and not cooked inside proper mushy. Will not go again.

Absolutely love our experience here. Everything was made fresh and the owners are very friendly and very professional at the same time. Love their basket option of scampi, calamari and Strips with fries... Will defo return again.

This evening 13th May 2023 I ordered my food after a long day in Essex at a football tournament. As always the fish and chips were well cooked, tasty and delicious. The tall young blonde man who served me was exceptionally warm and friendly. He gave me such a warm welcome with his friendliness, attention to detail and customer care. A true asset to this already excellent fish and chip shop!Thank you young man. 😀

Had some lovely gluten free fish and chips today, they are very aware of celiac disease and careful not to cross contaminate while cooking and serving. Lovely people too.

After the downfall of Ocean Blue in the area I decided to try Toppers. Service was quick and easy. The fish and chips were tasty with hardly any grease which you can get from some establishments. The kids enjoyed their dinner and gave it thumbs up. We will definitely go again and hoping the quality remains the same!

Over priced for the food standards. Chips were bland and slightly soggy. The curry sauce was of a watery consistency, and the fish batter was over cooked. Would I eat from there again? No

We liked Toppers for its hot, freshly fried fish, crispy chips, ample portions and recyclable/compostable packaging, and friendly service in the shop. All in all not bad at all. What we wished was different was thicker, crisper batter, and fresher or better quality oil used for the frying. You know when it could be better when the taste lingers...

A little disappointing - especially the chips, not nearly as god as last time I went, though fish probably a fraction better...

These guys have been serving me gluten free fish and chips for years. The only fish and chip shop for miles that do gluten free 6 days a week at a high standard and a fair price. I still struggle to find GF fish and chips since moving to London. I always visit when I'm back in town. Very underrated!

Me and my family order from Toppers of sunningdale about once a month. The management has fairly recently changed and the new owners are very friendly and always chatty. The cod and chips is always extremely tasty and filling. I always purchase the regular size cod as that’s large enough! Last time I ordered from here I got a halloumi wrap and chips. The chips were to die for - as always. However, the halloumi in the wrap was a bit over cooked and chewy. Never the less I still ate the wrap and I would still order food from here again.

The best Fish & Chips in Sunningdale, Sunninghill and Ascot. Everything is cooked fresh and the staff are very friendly. The perfect local chippy:)

Really good fish and chips, ordered through their app and I turned up as it was all being cooked - fresh, hot and very good quality. The chips and fish were in separate boxes. I do not hesitate to recommend Toppers.

I've never had a bad meal here,the staff are friendly and normally rushed off their feet at busy times but all the same I'm always very full after fish and chips.

Good quality fish and chips but seems portion size is reducing ! previously Large fish and chips were served in two boxes one for fish one for chips now one same sized box with fish and chips crammed around . good job i had mushy peas as well.

I really wanted my experience with Toppers to be good after reading positive reviews. I've been a customer of Churchill's in Bracknell for sometime, although it's not perfect the fish is always fresh. Sadly, my experience with Toppers was the fish was not fresh, it was slushy and tasteless either it was frozen or a good few days old. The batter was undercooked and the curry sauce had no taste. The chips however was very nice and the portion size was good. I will give Topper's another go in the future, but the key is providing great quality fresh fish and this is important. I would urge the owners to compare the fish quality with Churchills or travelling to towns such as Grimsby to see how fish should be cooked and taste.

After a few years Christos and Sylvia are moving to pastures new, as the previous owners want the place back.This is a great shame as Christos invested time, money and energy into this place taking it above and beyond what it used to be. He was always friendly and pleasant and I will be sad to see him go.How good the food was depends on who made it to be honest. If Christos served you, good food was always assured. However if it was anyone else it was a bit like Russian roulette as to whether you got a good meal or not.They added so many fantastic options to the menu over the years, the Greek Gyros (kebabs) being a real hit.I remember the first time I ordered a chicken gyros and Christos asked me if I wanted a few chips on top. I looked at him as if he were barmy and declined. The second time I said "OK, do it" and it enhanced the eating experience with new flavour and texture.He knows his food, will be missed and I wish him all the best in his new venture in the Midlands.

Great value. They have Greek food, fried chicken and fish&chips all at reasonable price for large quantity. Good late-night energy boost if you happen to be working at Imperial Silwood campus.

My son ordered on line after I told him to buy from toppers. What I didn’t realise is that’s it’s changed ownership. I’m sure the Greek food is great but sadly the fish and chips were dreadful. Chips not fried in a nice tasting oil and the fish wasn’t crispy but soggy. Will not be going back

I have been to this chip shop many times over the last two years, the chips and fish are good, not amazing quality but being from a seaside town my standards are pretty high. The range of veggie foods is good, the battered sausages, the pukka pies are all what you want them to be. Recently(ish) they installed gyros and they make traditional greek kebabs, which are better without chips, the pork, chicken and haloumi gyros are all good. I am also greek and can say that these are good standard gyros, I have had some of the other greek foods which arent so good, i'd avoid the gemista. A nice little touch is that now they also have some greek goods for sale, and I like having some ION chocolate every now and again.

Even as a vegetarian i find their food to be amazing, everything is cooked up fresh and tasty with a smile and the staff are amazingly nice people with awesome cooking skills.

As our hotel didn't serve food we had fish and chips from toppers it was the best fish we've tasted and massive ....weldone

Asked for small portion of cod and chips. The server must have counted the chips as there were very few, and as for the cod it must have been the end tail of the fish covered in batter, complete waste of money

Love this Chippy, my Haddock is always cooked fresh and is huge so would even make two smaller portions if you fancy. The owners are very polite and the establishment is always clean. The perfect Chippy really!

Not just the usual fish & chips or pies. This chippy has added and added the last couple of years under the new owners and even does kebabs now!An extensive Greek menu accompanied everything you’d expect in a fish & chip shop, plus calamari, prawns, spring rolls, burgers and lots more also available. I think I saw burgers get fried, though - they didn’t look so good - but I might be wrong. The fish & chips are great!! Recommended.

Love this place, Gluten Free fish for the wife.Served up fresh with a smile and at a great price.We go there whilst the kids are at school and sit in at 1 of the tables and have a lunch for 2 for under £20 including drinks

Our usual chippy closed over Christmas so we thought we would give Toppers a go. Unfortunately it did not live up to it's competition. The service was very friendly however the food was not great ! The chips were mushy , stuck together and when you tried to stick a fork into them they fell apart. The fish was also very greasy and soggy. Not great !

Toppers offers the best Fish & Chips I enjoyed so far. The place is run by a Greek couple and recently they also started serving Gyros. For info: there are some tables where you can have your meal, but since this is a take away there is no atmosphere, better take your food home and enjoy!

My wife has been diagnosed Coeliac for 10 years and finally there is genuinely Gluten Free fish and chips available.

I was over the moon when I found them gem. Where else in Berkshire can you find gluten free fish and chips - Just fantastic! Reasonable price and quick service. They also deliver for a small fee.

This is our local fish & chip place. We are fairly regular users & the fish & chips is always perfect.Everyone we have recommended this place to become regulars too! Would highly recommend. Especially as now they do lots of other home cooked food so there is varied menu.

Great food, usually cooked to order, and with a good variety of other items on the menu eg calamari, prawns, etc. Small area where you can eat in as well.

I love the haddock and the chips are the best in the area; I have recently tried the Pastitsio and Dolmades (stuffed vine leaves) and all I can say is "Just like mamma used to make"Fantastic value for money

This was a horrible experience. I had RAW chicken.They also tried to undersell me so I had to ask for my money back.They were rude, ignoring my friend who asked for some ketchup. Would NOT recommend this establishment to anyone.

Mt Wife and I tried this local fish & chip shop for the first time last night. First impressions good; tidy, clean and welcoming. Everything cooked fresh from ordering, albeit you have to wait a little, at least you know it's fresh. Cod & chips very tasty. Will definitely use again in the near future, highly recommend.

having been wined and dined until tea time we weren't ready for an early dinner nor did we fancy sitting in a restaurant.So we hunted around and found this fish and chip shop and were delighted to find you could also eat in as we were staying in an hotel. The fish was excellent. We enjoyed our very relaxed supper without the owners chasing us out until we were ready to leave....after their closing time it so happened.I would highly recommend a visit.

The best fish and chips you wait a bit but you get a very tasty food and the food is freshly made. And the chef knows how to cook fish not like other that they sit there and they wait the fish to to be cook you need to (play) with the fish.

Never have a single item ready, so a long wait is inevitable even for a bag of chips. Not in the least efficient in their order taking or cueing system. Food when you finally get it is ok, but only average.

Really great fish and chips with a friendly warm service. So much better in everyway than the chippy in Sunninghill. Fish is superb! Well worth it.

Serves excellent fish and chips. Always cooked to order so nice and fresh - you never get dried out food left under the hot-lamp for hours like some places. Food is cooked really well and always tastes nice. We wouldn't go anywhere else.

We went to buy chips from Toppers for the first time since it changed hands. The guy serving us, Christos, was friendly and happy to chat. The chips were cooked freshly from scratch and although this means waiting a short time, it's so worth it! The chips were golden, gorgeous and very tasty, as well as being very plentiful. They were packed in an cardboard container, which ensured that they were still hot when we got home 10 minutes later. Excellent!

The new folk here - I ain't saying they're dumb, but they're dumb. Ordering is an ordeal and the food is not as good as it used to be.Still owned by the old couple, but these guys don't cook like they used to...

Firstly, lovely service, they are always glad to see you. We've been eating their fish and chips for years and still travel a considerable distance to get first-class fish and chips. The fish is cooked to order and never greasy and the chips are always fresh and delicious. We tend to come on a Tuesday though and sometimes don't get to see the lovely lady who serves, we wish she worked every Tuesday!

Better value and service than Ocean Blue. Tried Ocean Blue for a while but ended up coming back to Toppers despite being further away.

We have been getting our Fish & Chips from Toppers now for several years. I can honestly say their take-away service is second to none. They are rapid and efficient – and service always comes with a smile. The prices are very good and the food is NEVER pre-prepared – always fresh. The texture of the fish, particularly the excellent cod, is always firm and it is never greasy… and importantly, the chips are the same. We will never look elsewhere… Toppers are at the very top of their game. Customers come from as far away as Bagshot, they tell me. Thoroughly recommended as the very best chippie in Sunningdale, Sunninghill, Virginia Water, Bagshot and environs.
