Can't rate food. I didn't eat there but was happy just sitting and chatting with friends. Friendly staff and facilities were clean and well serviced.

Had a couple of drinks on the way home this afternoon!

One of the best under Green King chain of pubs around. Very nice ambiance and superb food. Excellent choice of ales on offer too. Highly recommended! Service could be better, it was a lot better the last time around. Be more adaptable to customer's requirements, I was a barman myself!

Delicious food, fantastic staff, karaoke, open mic nights. You can’t go wrong coming to this place, plus great Guinness.

Great place to chill and socialise with friends, very friendly, bar staff are lovely and very accommodating, regulars are friendly, very nice family feel, clean and the food is amazing! The best nachos in maidenhead!! Thanks guys we will be back !!

Love this place, great to catch up with friends, drink and nibble highly recommend the pulled pork nachos, BBQ chicken strips and the fries with sea salt and rosemary sprigs, it has a home from home feel, regulars are welcoming, bar staff are lovely, very accommodating and the atmosphere is great!!

Nice pub lovely girls working there, polite and very obliging, reasonable prices, well done girls 👍 RECAP. In the last few visits to this place they have managed to ramp up the price of a drink to the point where I consider them to be unscrupulous, that is taking advantage of the local customers and of course myself and my friends. To finish on that note, I will not be returning to this establishment again. They can say good luck to this but it still won't excuse the fact that they are thieving &#@%+*£s. Shame!!

It was a good experience in my opinion. The place was not too crowded neither was it too loud or quiet. The service from the bar and the chef was great. Consequently, the food was amazing as well so this place is perfect for friends or family. Will definitely consider coming again.

Visited here and went for the Hunters Chicken meal with Gravy ( Chef Special by the fabulous Luis) and was totally blown away, by far the best meal ever cooked with an explosion of pure flavour. Pub is the best as was also playing brilliant 80's tracks too which make the experience so much nicer. Sports on all screens and brilliant selection of beers on Tap. Fully recommended anyone to visit this place honestly as you're love it. Lost of parking available too.

Great karaoke night on 29th Sep. The Green King app does not really work here though, so avoid using it as staff are too busy to look at app tickets and the app does not tell you when they are out of stock, by which time you have paid!!

By far the best green king in maidenhead. They sell thatchers too so that's a huge bonus. Service is great too.

I meet with friends here 3 or 4 times per month. A popular local with friendly and accommodating staff . A typical GK pub menu, served in a timely and efficient manner.

Great service, good food (as always) .Today the pub was busy with a wake so we were expecting a delay in the food, however food was delivered very quickly and was delicious.

15 of us visited for lunch after my father’s funeral. We were earlier than expected, and added an extra person at the last minute. The staff could not have been more helpful, kind and accommodating. The food was very good. Thank you for helping to make a difficult day go smoothly for us.

We both would like to Thank-you for a perfect afternoon. The food and wine were both exceptional. I appreciated the effort to make my coffee. Absolutely lovely place. We have 3 young children and felt thoroughly welcomed by both staff and locals. The back garden area is lovely with some impressive hanging baskets! Such a great relaxed atmosphere, we would absolutely visit again.

Coming back from a mini break and called in for food. Mot busy. A few locals in all friendly and meal was nice

Would definately recommend this pub. We called last minute on Sunday as our garden birthday party for 22 people had been cut short by the rain, the lady on the phone was so helpful & accommodating & managed to arrange an area in the pub for us to continue the party. Popped in for lunch. Had the chicken and ham pie with mash. Enjoyed Meal, and staff were friendly and helpful.

A lovely buffet for 25 of us, the food was fresh and tasty with plenty for everyone. The service was very good and the staff friendly as always. The sun shone, which meant we could sit outside too.

Rapidly growing disillusioned with our lovely local, the food we order each week is consistently incorrect, missing items or out of stock. Sarah W and Emily are first class and know what proper customer service is, they are currently the only reason we return. Very sad, we used to really enjoy our Friday night dinners out.

After being a regular here for a couple of years for both food and drink things have gone seriously down hill. If you’re coming here for drinks and a friendly atmosphere (although maybe not after I post this) then you won’t be disappointed. Unfortunately the same can’t be said for the food, it’s been getting worse for some time. The last few weeks running now they either don’t have half of the menu or what they do serve is missing something (tonight’s example being the beef pie that was ordered and when served we’re told there is no gravy, not to mention the raw broccoli). If you’re lucky enough to get what you ordered there’s also a very good chance it’s either very over or under cooked. As previously mentioned the toilets are akin to something in a third world country, certainly the men’s constantly smells badly with leaking urinals leaving puddles all over the floor and don’t get me started on the amount of drugs that are consumed in there! Although I’ve not met the new Landlord yet I’m hoping he can turn things around as this used to be a great place for Friday dinners.

Just had a really nice pint with family and friends at the thatched cottage. Staff were very welcoming and service was quick, food is great too 10/10

This place is run down, and if you have already had a couple of beers, do not go to the loo. Toilets in so called third world countries are better!

I went with a mate, I am 18 and she's 17, I went to order a alcoholic drink, she questioned my ID and then said I couldn't get it because my mate was under 18 (she wasn't planning to get alcohol and only wanted a soft drink) she also kept giving us dirty looks when waiting to order.

Went to see a band. Great atmosphere. But a bit strange having reserved outside tables in the beer garden where the band were. Band was good. Just adjusting expectations for outdoor area.

Traditional pub with great food. I had a classic burger...only had a mineral water so can't advise on how they keep their beer. Very friendly, attentive service and clean, comfortable furniture. Nice atmosphere about the place...didn't have time to get my darts out and have a practice...maybe next time :) .

Called up on the off chance they could squeeze mum and I in for lunch today.Really friendly member of staff answered the phone and could not have been more helpful. The table was ready for us when we arrived and there was a great range of food. The food was really tasty, hot, well priced and good size portions. The bar staff were really friendly and helpful too. Really recommend and we will be going back.

Just eaten at the Thatched Cottage with my daughter. Staff were excellent, friendly & informative. Food, just what we needed. We haven't visited for several years as we don't journey this way anymore,but my daughter remembered this pub when driving near-by today. Will definitely be back this year. Mark

nice staff, yet something weird with the smell of the rice

Good food, nice chilled environment, I had the roast double down meat, gravy was served nice, but I do say it took away food from the plate, it was a standard size meal but it didnt fill, as the plate wasn't filled either. Food was good though but portion size was lacking

Decent local boozer. Pints, pub grub, doesn't need to do much else. It is on my way home so if I stop it takes a little longer to get there.

The food is so nice and the bar staff are so kind and it's dog friendly so it's a good place if you want to bring your dogs and have a pint

Great family and dog friendly country pub. Beer garden out back and a decent selection of beers.

Popped in for a quick lunch and was met by Emma and Sarah who were extremely friendly and helpful. Ordered a soft drink whilst deciding what I wanted for lunch whilst noticing how friendly the atmosphere was. After placing my order for food the chef came over to double check my order and once again, friendly and professional. After finishing my lunch the staff proved how attentive they were by clearing my table within minutes. Fantastic atmosphere and lovely staff.

A really lovely pub with good menu, something for everyone. Good selection on draught. Charming decor and lots of teles for when the footy is on. Visited with my disabled father on scooter and we felt very welcome. Great for those with dogs too. Will definitely return!

This place is so friendly we went for a little drink and ended up staying all evening, and having a little bit to eat which I must say was amazing. Always a warm friendly welcome and even more so today as Santa and the Elves were there. A really well arranged breakfast with Santa. Great breakfast, lovely service and a beautifully made grotto. Recommend for normal days too - good value roasts and lunches.
