Tonys Fish Bar in Portsmouth

I nearly fell off my perch when I found out the cost of a fish dinner for two at what was Mother Kelly's in Portchester. I left this takeaway, went a quarter of a mile up from there and visited Tony's bar in Saunders house, Leith Avenue. Got two nice bits of fish cooked to order/ perfection and more than enough chips for the both of us. Sorted.

Brought 1 large cod and two medium this evening the 3.12.22. Fish was awful very dry batter was very chewy and soze wise was terrible, was definately not happy as large cod £8.00 and medium was £7.00 due to a price increase. Will not go again.

A good value tasty meal of smaller size fish and more than I can eat chips for OAPs only at lunch time. I believe the best fish & chip shop in the area. I have eaten their food for many years and have never had cause to complaints! The food is cooked to order so always hot and NO soggy chips nor batter.

Pescado y patatas fritas local encantador y agradable. Solo tenía bacalao grande y patatas fritas. Cocido a la perfección, envolvió el pescado separado de las patatas fritas, lo que lo mantuvo extra crujiente. Chips en el clavo.

Vengo del norte y mi familia tenía un imperio de fish and chips, pero Tony's en Portchester es el mejor. He estado viniendo aquí durante años, las papas fritas son perfectas y tienen un sabor delicioso, siempre una sonrisa del personal cuando entro. Gracias.

Arrived at Tony’s just after 8pm tonight after a very busy day with little food, he was just closing and had locked the door. Upon see me looking in he opened up and said come in what can I get you. 3 cod and chips freshly cooked while I waited with a smile. Great customer service and great fish and chips Thank you very much 😋😋😋👍

We get a takeaway from here almost every week. The cod is always delicious, we've never been disappointed. Generous portions and quick efficient service.

If you need a chip shop in paulsgrove or portchester this is one of the best ive visited and always return. Lovely batterd cod and others sides they do well priced and good portions

Have our chips every week here and never had a bad order yet. Fish is good, fantastic chip portions, very tasty curry sauce and fair prices too. All in all Tony runs a tip top chip shop :)
