We happened upon this restaurant whilst staying at the Hilton Canary Wharf.

Have been here twice. The Manager Miguel is amazing and very accommodating. Service is great and so is the food.

Vivimos en Pan Península y probamos el restaurante hace un par de años, y luego de nuevo hace un año, pero debe decir honestamente que la comida era bastante mala y el servicio. Entonces nos dimos cuenta de que el restaurante había conseguido un nueva dirección y había cambiado hasta convertirse en un restaurante italiano, así que decidí darle otra oportunidad. Fuimos a comer y nos dieron una mesa para dos y el buen servidor bonito y italiano hizo todo lo que pudo para dar un servicio excelente y atento. Pedimos ensalada de buffalo como entrante compartido mi esposa y yo elegimos una pizza y yo fuimos para el marisco tagliatelle. La comida y el servicio era genial. Pasta muy sabrosa con un montón de grandes camarones. La pizza era muy grande para una pizza de almuerzo y todos los platos estaban servidos rápido y sin tiempo de espera innecesario. Volveremos.

Esta noche fuimos a Tompkins con mi novio y mi amigo y que no le importaba en absoluto. El director parece alta y borrachos. Pedimos por estrellas porno tree martini y el camarero era revisar el libro porque él no sabía cómo hacer era bastante, pero el lugar es muy agradable y arriba la vista es increíble. Simplemente asegúrate de conocer chicos u saben cómo hacer un clásico de estrellas porno martini y tratar al cliente bien

Good choice of Italian food and dishes which are a little but different. OK wine list. A little soul less on a Monday night even though we were a big grou.

Tuvimos el mejor tiempo en la cena que creo que he tenido! Nuestro servidor de Migle era adorable y lleno de humor, aumento de personalidad. Ella era atento, entretenido y bien informado. Ella es una enorme ventaja para su restaurante y merece mucho felicitaciones! Sin duda volveremos pronto para ser servido por Migle.

Tuve la mozzarella, tomate y aguacate ensalada como entrante y el spaghetti Ragu para principal! Mi marido tenía un antipasto para empezó y campo de pollo y berenjena. La comida era muy fresca y mi ensalada era divino! Comida con un precio razonable! El servicio fue muy atento, pero no demasiado. La camarera era muy cálido, acogedor y servicial.

The service was excellent and a good selection of Italian food. We shared pizzas and they were so tasty.

I was amazed at the wine prices here for London; at £6 a glass it was good value. The panino of steak was really well done and the chips were really good.I'd recommend certainly for lunch

We had a quick Saturday lunch here - very quiet, but had a warm welcome and two very large pizza - excellent quality and very nicely presented along with pints. Good chicken salad as well. Good and high quality cooking and a very reasonable bill. Well worth seeking out.

'Capeesh' restaurant is under the new management now and it has a very nice new Italian food menu. The sourced ingredients are clearly of high quality, the service is very efficient and friendly. I like the friend calamari (starter), nicely cooked, sauce is lovely and salmon with prosecco for main was delicious! Very nice location too.

Tompkins has new restaurant called CAPEESH with new İtalian menu which is amazing. I have tried carbonara - delicious fresh pasta.I definitely recommend you to try "grigliata di pesce", seafood plate on dinner menu, you won't regret.New management and service promising positive changes in this great location.Also try cheese and salami plater on bar menu.

I have been had the dinner three times since the new owners took over Tompkins and Attic Sky Bar .It was uninspiring and hopeless place in the past unfortunately.But now you will not regret to go there.They have completely changed the menu .l have noticed that there is no relovance with old menu.It has now more Italian and sophisticated menu with new Italian chef.Moreover ,although their location and picturesque view they serve their luscious food with very reasonable prices.Highly recommended!!!

Finding a place to eat on a busy Saturday night in the Canary Wharf area was proving to be a bit of a challenge until we found Tompkins. A simple, straightforward menu with an Italian undertone pointed us to ordering a range of delicious pizzas which we shared. Service was friendly and efficient and the final bill proved that it was a meal of good value.

It was very dark and another group of people moved to a lighter table. It was also very chilly especially as its mainly all windows.I was totally taken back that the disabled toilet had no facilities for you to dry your hands. There was no air dryer, towel dispenser or even a shelf for paper towels to be placed on.When I spoke to a lady she said she was unaware as she's never been in the disabled toilets and only checks the ladies toilet.I think it's disgusting simple but essential facilities are missing!

Had a good night in this very busy bar, staff were very good a service, and the tab system is good. Their is a private bar in the penthouse which gives good views across London. If you haven't been in the penthouse you should visit.

Had a fun night here with friends where we had drinks in "the attic" we didn't book which I would do next time as nowhere to sit for most of night. I would only come here for the top floor as the standard bar downstairs was a bit dull on this particular night/time for London. The views are spectacular both from the smoking area and toilet. Drinks are standard overpriced London but the views definitely make up for this. Staff and security really friendly and helpful.Only gripe is having a unisex toilet don't think this is safe in a bar however staff supervised most of night must be times where it's not though? Great night with mix of good music!

Excelent service staff and managment were all very helpfull service has improved since my last visit, Antonis the restaurant manager made us feel special by making our coctails himself. food is ok ,good value. Will visit again again soon.

This is such a beautiful place in such a beautiful area. The waiting staff where incredible, polite and friendly. I found the food quite bland, my partner had a pasta dish which I feel bad saying as it's such a nice place, but the food tasted like it rather plain. I had a chicken pie which again was so bland. Great value for money, just the food lacked seasoning

Fantastic cocktails. Food was great too. Service was descent we had to wait for a little while for the bill but we enjoyed the place

사실 스테이크나 파스타 전문점은 아니라 그렇게훌륭한 맛은 아니지만 나쁘지 않은 디쉬 였어요. 분위기도 나쁘지 않으나 목금 저녁에는 퇴근 회사원들로 인해 시끄러우니 식사에는 조금 불편할 수도 피자는 아주 훌륭하고 테이크 어웨이도 되니 괜찮습니다. 서비스는 좋지 못했던걸로 기억해요. 뭐 맥주 한 잔 피자 한판으로 저녁 보내기엔 좋은 레스토랑 입니다 . 디저트는 추천하지 않습니다 ㅋㅋ

I purchased a group on voucher for dinner for two with two courses and a glass of wine each.We selected starters and mains. The food was very good and the service efficient.I had a bresaola salad starter and steak main. My friend had the lamb with truffle mash, we were both pleased with our meals.

We had a Groupon voucher for two courses. I payed £4 extra for the steak. The food was really good as we were given extra choices from the menu. The fish cake and calamari starters were good and the steak just as good. The restaurant was virtually empty for a Saturday night although there were quite a few in the bar. The welcome was terrific from an excellent waitress called Vene who made it such a good night. I would recommend the management pay her a good wage as she will attract people to return. Thank you Vene. My only complaint were the gents toilet although it was clean both taps were broken and only one hand drier was working. We will return. There is a big bar. It is easy to get to as it is right next to South Quay.

In and area filled with bars and restaurants there is a minimum standard and Tompkins is far off the mark, the service was terrible, we were sat down with menus and left for ages, when we tried to order a drink it turned out the waiter didn't speak any English and had to send another guy over to take a wine order.We were ignored by people who looked like management when we wanted to order food and trying to order more drinks was painful at best. On the up side the food was good but I wouldn't bother going back as there are plenty of other venues with better offerings. If this restaurant was in any other location it would not still be in business as the sheer number of people in the Wharf and lack of venues means that you will always be busy regardless. Fingers crossed for an improvement in service levels.

What a wonderful experience!That's the title of my experience at Tompkins!I ate the best burger (the blue cheese buger) I ever had in London and my boyfriend ordered the tagliata meat and it was so tasty and perfectly cooked.Everything was well presented and the quality is absolutely excellent.In the end, we took the desserts: simply art on a plate...pannacotta and semifreddo!We sincerely recommend this restaurant to everyone who can appreciate excellent food, impeccable service and relaxing atmosphere!No doubt: 5 stars!

Good choice of lagers and wine, three tuns IPA is really good if you are a beer drinker as most pubs you can be stuck with lager! Food is OK, selection of pizzas and burgers. For a couple of beers and some snacks after work it's well worth trying.

We went to Tompkins on Sunday and it was very quite with no atmosphere. This maybe due to it not being a work day but all the same it is a big restaurant / bar.We ate at around 15.15 and the food on the whole was disappointing with the pork to dry and the waiter not understanding what one of our friends required for a starter and a plate of lettuce turned up. The kitchen closed at 16.00.My brunch breakfast was good though and the bar service was also very good. Don't think we will be going back though.

Food was nice and warm. Just see food mix as main dish should be moved to snack part. Mussels was nice. Waiter was quite new, so I helped him with my Groupon voucher and final bill :). We had quite quick diner but still places never been cleaned. Waiter was very busy with other things as only 4 tables was occupied from over 12.

Good value "All day Menu". Enjoyed "Sausage and Mash" and "Lemon Tart". Great service but not much atmosphere as it was Saturday afternoon.

Enjoyed a family meal here on a Saturday night.Helpful and friendly staff, and the food was excellent.However the restaurant refused to cook two of the steaks "blue!" We even asked the waiter to go and check with the chef, and he returned confirming their no "blue policy."We have traveled all over the world and this is the first time we have had our request for a blue steak refused.....incredible.

Tucked away this place is very chill. Very good food and service. Price is reasonable considering its in Canary Wharf! Nice location. Would recommend.

My wife booked the restaurant and we used some vouchers in general the service was good the waitresses pleasant the food in the main was average the starter was not very warm but passable on other occasions would have sent it back. Both of us had the same main, halloumi burgers which were very tasty with more than generous portions of halloumi. My wife said the prosecco was excellent. The restaurant is part of a large pub but set apart and is rather bland in decoration compared to the venue as a whole. As my wife said "it was ok but wouldn't take friends as our guest" which really sums it up.

Given it is in the heart of Canary Wharf and can be exceptionally busy at times the food here was actually surprisingly good. Fresh ingredients, well cooked and pleasantly served. The bar itself is quite large and there is seating outside. I was there with a friend on a week day around 6pm, perfect time to visit, not crowded, sat and had a pleasant meal. I like the mix of modern and traditional in this place. Would recommend x

We got a deal of groupon, I believe it was a meal for 2 with 2 courses. The location was good and place was very trendy however the food was poor. We have the anti pasti type starter and it was very dry and not very tasty. I had the steak for main which was Chewy and cold :(. However my boyfriend had the burger which he enjoyed. Attic bar I believe is the highest cocktail bar in London (at the moment). The view is amazing. It's just a shame the balcony was closed with the view of the city. All in all we had a good night the wine helped ;) good place to chill after work.

Had a wonderful meal at Tompkins after a long day in Canary Wharf. Would recommend the venue for after work drinks too as it is in a good location and nice cocktails.

Lovely restaurant and bar with lots of space and lots of TVs for the sport. Starters of gamborini and mussels were very nice and full of tomato flavour. For mains we had seafood pasta again full of tomato flavour. I liked it and steak, which was tasty. Staff were very friendly and we sat outside because it was hot and sunny and part of the Thames flows by. On the whole a nice place for food and drink with lots of space and comfortable seating. Definitely recommend.

I am not really the type of person who writes reviews that often, however, I decided to write a review about Tompkins even before finishing my meal. We sat down at one of the tables just outside, Asked for the menu and chose what we wanted to eat quickly as we only had 50 minutes left for the lunch break. When the waitress came we ordered the food and drinks and kindly asked if they can prepare the food as quickly as possible (as the previous experience suggested that the service can be pretty slow during lunch time) to the waitress who only responded with a weird look (not a single word) that basically said what the hell are you saying. I'll admit that the food came fairly quickly after that. However, the drinks they served were 90% ice and had no gas or taste. Plus, while we were half way through eating the food the waitress came to us with the bill and post machine in her hands and asked us to pay right away, (it didn't really sound like she was asking, but more like ordering). When I asked why couldn't we do this at the end of our meal like every other place, the response was "because you are sitting outside and you may leave without paying".. I found this extremely offensive, I don't know what kind of profiling they have in place but not all the tables were treated the same way.. In general, the attitude was very rude and unpleasent. The food was definitely not above average, despite being pricey. I didn't even bother answering when the waitress asked " but seriously why don't you like the pizza (or the same question to my girlfriend for the burger she was not eating) because regardless of the quality of the food, surely won't be returning to a place where we were treated in such a way.

I have been thinking for the longest time to write a review on this venue. However, I always thought I would give them another chance. I have been here many times due to convenience, as I live nearby. Unfortunately now, I have to do this.The service here is appalling. Almost every staff, including at the door, is rude. With the exception of Mario, the rest of the staff seems to have an attitude. The guys at the "entrance", just before you enter the lift to the Attic, are extremely rude too. They make you feel as if you are spending their money by being there. My family and friends are not loud, obnoxious or difficult people. We try to order our wine by the bottle, if there's enough of us, so as not to bother the service staff too much. But I feel that regardless whether you order a glass or a bottle, at the very least, there should be basic courtesy from the staff. Now, when my friends or visitors suggested Tompkins as it is walking distance, I would suggest another venue instead after nearly two years of giving them a chance.The venue itself is nice and the rooftop Attic has a lovely view. They have the hardware but no software, if you get what I mean. Staff not professional and perhaps in real need of customer service training. My suggestion is avoid this place if you can, unless there's a change.

My team and I are always greeted by the friendly 'Mario'! (Who ironically, actually looks like Super Mario). The staff is great in general, they usually always accomdate my team and I even with very short notice. We regularly celebrate team birthdays here, primarily in the private section upstairs. Great food and cocktails, every time.

We got there for after work drinks and this place is absolutely amazing. Staff is very friendly and atmosphere is very nice. Good options for everyone on the menu and outdoor seating is quite cool. Definitely recommended to all living or working in canary wharf area..

We ate here on a Friday in March for a business lunch. Fritto Misto and Steak sandwiches were perfectly pleasant. Initially we had no hope of getting a table (it was 1pm) but after a short wait in the easy chairs one opened up, and Mario (think Super Mario) whisked us over to it and dealt VERY efficiently with a lunch Rapido. Recommend the export Heineken, very refreshing. Place was crowded but not too noisy, so we were able to conduct some business with ease. Would come again, thanks to the return of Super Mario...

I came here with a friend after work and enjoyed a 3 course meal which was pretty basic yet tasty.The service started off great but we had to call for assistance on several occasions after our starter was delivered.They also have music playing in the back ground and a bar to the front left of the restaurant so good for a drink also!Will re attend after work or for a quick weekend bite to eat.

We were last Sunday early dinner ,Valentines menu was amazing, everybody enjoy the meal. Fantastic location, cool place inside. Staff were friendly and the service well organized and attentive. Good experience.

I have been in Tompkins a couple of times, and I would highly recommend it to anyone. The food is amazing, nice burgers and pizzas, nice cocktails and variety of drinks. My favorite is the Attic bar which has a stunning view to London, i can't get enough of it. The waiters/waitresses are all friendly, especially the Hungarian manager, she is very professional and extremely lovely with the guests. I will certainly go back again in the future.

Had our Christmas meal here. A bowl of soup with no bread and a piece of turkey roll, no vegetables cannot really justify the steep £55 a head price tag.It may have been Christmas but this was taking the mick.Attic bar provides good views over London but drink prices are a premium too and more expensive than central London prices.

Great food, great service and lovely atmosphere. Blonde waitress extremely good, lovely ,very professional. To say we had the best burgers Really good. Thank you for a great meal and great service. Would highly recommend to anyone who loves nice food and service. Will certainly return again in the future.

Lovely restaurant. Slightly lacking in atmosphere but this may be because it wasn't very busy for a Saturday night, food however did not disappoint and we had a lovely waitress who was very attentive!

I went here for breakfast and ordered an omelette but the whole bottom of it had been horribly burnt. Also the orange juice was a really cheap substitute. The worst for me was after showing the staff the burnt omelette, they didn't do anything to rectify it and still charged us the full amount for the meal.

I tried the starters in the restaurant which were acceptable (calamari and charcuterie board). But the burger was really bad. The wine was also below average. Tasted like very cheap wine, although we paid £24.50 excl. service charge. Not to mention that the waitresses were not attentive. I then went to the bar upstairs (48th floor). It was quiet until 11.30. The DJ was very good, drinks were extremely expensive for the quality. All in all, I give it a 2 out 5 since 3 will be too generous.

This is one of my local after work drinking holes, it's not a bad place at all, but it only gets an average review on the basis it gets very busy at times and the staff seem to struggle.I have had some good nights here, and i would advise anyone to visit for a drinkThe selection is vast, whilst expensive it is reasonable for the area.

Fizemos uma lanche e tomamos uma cerveja. Fomos muito bem atendidos e os petiscos estavam ótimos. Muita movimentação no happy hour, mas no começo da tarde estava vazio.

Mains were lovely and nicely done (tuna perfectly cooked and veggies were real good) but desserts were amateurish and the service .... unprofessional. The young lady smiles but it seems the overall management is just not there to support and coach the team. We were amongst 3 tables on a Saturday night, so not really a pick night. We also had a short encounter with the 2 bouncers for upstairs who didn't seem too interested to talk to us, more likely more into carrying on with their conversation, just to confirm the theory above about bad management. If you still see a 'coffee sorbet' on the menu, forget it. Not meant to be there! The waitress didn't know about it and had to ask the kitchen who seemingly said it wasn't to be on the menu. Probably a good summary of our experience there that evening.Lights were wrong in the main dining room making the whole place cold and impersonal. A real let down as a birthday treat.We might go back for a drink on the top terrace but the web could do with making it clearer also about the bar ON TOP and the restaurant on the GROUND.Overall less than average with a shocking service. Ok I am from the industry still I pay the same price and thus expect a simple but professional service.

There isn't much more I can say really. The staff are terrible, the drinks are absurdly priced and there is no atmosphere at all. Food is mediocre at best. And if you end up with table service they sneak on a 15% service charge. Simply avoid this place unless you have no choice.

Great place for business lunch or drinks but avoid going after 5.30pm if you don't want to get disturbed by after work drinkers. Great menu and special lunch time offers.

This bar was a 2 min walk from our apartment so we went in o a couple of occasions. The Friday night was very busy but the Saturday night was a lot quieter. There is a night club called the Attic which we now wished we had visited as I have it on good authority that it is worth a look. The bar offer a good selection of cocktails 2 for £9 and also has a restaurant with a nice menu.

I've been to Tompkins with friends few times , every visit was a surprise as we always try new things! Very good value as well! Would definitely recommend this place for food and drinks!

Can't believe what I witnessed yesterday afternoon. I saw one of the employees who was arriving for work actually accelerate his car towards a young child who was playing outside the bar next to the seating area. When an independent witness approached him to ask for an explanation, he was verbally abusive. Reading the other reviews it looks like customer service isn't a strong point and I can vouch for that. Management were totally ineffective at dealing with the situation. I will never go back to this bar.

I am a regular costumer at Tompkins. Been going there alone, with my family, my work colleagues and for the last two years I've been celebrating my birthday's up in the Mezzanine floor which you can hire out if you want to enjoy your night with your friends and family in more private atmosphere. I should of done this long time ago- write the truth about this venue because after reading all these ridicules and unfair comments I would like the world to know that half of them are simply not TRUTH. Yes every busy bar and restaurant can experience an error which can cause a disappointment but common- I'm 100% sure those who leave Tompkins happy and satisfied are more then few complain boxes who has nothing else to do in their life's then throw their anger out here.Food- the menu is changing often and now with the new ALL DAY MENU £10 the restaurant is pretty busy which I enjoy because you get this live/bubbly atmosphere. Let me note here, with that £10 menu you get free drink... can not get better then that!!! Service is quick however if you pop in with out a reservation with all your friends from office then be patient- you may have to wait a bit which is understandable... always better to give that quick call and let them know you are coming. Drinks- I just love the cocktails, specially cocktail hours at Tompkins. Even thou this is not really a cocktail bar but the quality of the drinks WOW. I always get the feeling that the bartenders are really passionate about their job and they are not afraid to experiment. Even more...I have asked them create something specially for me and always that SPECIAL drink is delicious and have never let me down. Overall this is a great place for any type of event. Comfy sofas, TV screens, great music, nice food and refreshing cocktails... P.S. I had quiet few dates there as well and let me just say- I never felt embarrassed by bringing my date there as we finished the night up in the Attic bar (48th floor ) and it was the perfect way to end the night by surprising my partner with this hidden place where the view is breath taking... Thanks for the great service to all of the staff and I wish you loads of nice costumers in the future

Went here in a crowd for pre dinner drinks - good views and very classy seating and atmosphere. Didn't eat anything here so can't comment on that. Not sure on prices as I didn't pay!

Meeting friends at this place for the first time and now for the last time because I have never come across such rude waitressing. From a simple request of having no bun on my burger (due to being allergic), was then given a burger with a bun and told we don't do this service. Even though the guy who took my order said 'no problem'. Then to follow with a comment to say 'are you happy now'. I have never been spoken to like this in a restaurant where people working there clearly think they are more important than their customers. The pricing on drinks was ridiculous. I would not recommend this place to anyone and I will certainly not be going back myself.

I think I have just had the worst lunch I have ever had. The pizza bread starter tasted of nothing. The Haddock and Chips was served on a cold plate, the peas were dried up, the fish was dry and the lemon was curled at the edges. Not surprising it was empty. They really could do better but although I live next door I will not be risking another visit.

A friend and I visited this restaurant by chance as our first alternative was closed for a private function. This actually turned out to be a real plus for us. Tomkins has a really nice feeling. The venue is split in two with a separate bar area - ideal for meeting up with friends and a sit down resturant section. The menu is not large but there is a good selection. Staff very welcoming and knowledgeable. Food excellent. Will certainly be going back.

Steak sandwich was terrible, steak solid as a rock and 4 days old bread. The pizza is worse than the ones you buy at Iceland for £1, service too slow and grumpy and waiters sort their issues in front of you and then vent everything on you, while you're in a hurry to pay and go back to work. Never ever will go back there again!

I visit Tompkins most Friday evenings after work. It's certainly a nice bar but there are never enough staff on the bar. Two on a busy Friday evening is dimply not enough. I should not have to queue so long for a drink.

Just had lunch and the service and food was very good. Granted the place was empty but the service was prompt and polite.

NEVER EVER AGAIN...!As my title say's, RIP OFF!I am so confused about this venue, it is so nice looking inside and out and has huge potential, however, if you go here looking for even half descent service you are in for a bad surprise. it seems to be run by the most rude, unhappy and miserable service staff I think I have ever seen.I came here last Friday with three important business clients, as I said, the place looks lovely and I was fooled by this. I don't wish to waste too much of my time by listing everything that was wrong or went wrong so I'll just highlight the big one's.Ordered 4 coffee's, all the same, Cappuccino. Quite an easy order you'd think, but, NO! All were luke warm, half full, watery and too much foam. We should have left then really thinking back.Then we ordered our food, we waited 52 minutes for food of the same quality as the coffees, nearly cold and definitely no-where near worth the money they are charging, top food prices for amateur effort quality.Then to top it all an argument with someone who was either a waitress or stand in manager with no experience when we were clearly being overcharged with "fake" TAX and gratuity charges for a service I don't recall receiving.So take it from me... I will never ever go near this joint again, and I advise you do the same!

Pretty nice venue and the outdoor seating is pretty nice and looks over the wharf. It gets very busy on Friday evenings as there is a conference centre just across the road, and they never seem to have enough staff on even though this is a regular occurrence.

We live just down the road, and had been meaning to pop in for dinner for a while. Tompkins is in the bottom of the exclusive Pan Peninsula development, and has a really great aesthetic. The food was really basic, and nothing special. I had a burger, and to be honest could knock up a burger equal or better at home myself. The menu had seemed reasonably priced. My partner paid for the meal, when she mentioned the price later it was certainly a lot more than I'd seen on the menu. I suspect I'd seen a bar menu, and given we had table service that explained the higher charge. I'd have been miffed with the food at the price I saw, at the higher price we were very disappointed. It may be less than 5 mins from our front door, but I reckon it'll be a long time before we ever go back.

As a resident of Pan Peninsula (the tall building which Tompkins is located) I know what to eat there. They have different offers everyday which writes at the entrance.For example, there's happy hour btw 5-7 which is great, and the offer is also valid at the Attic where you can access from Tompkins via the lift. (48th Floor)In Tompkins, there's a Restaurant area (kind of expensive, but set menus are OK) and a Pub area. We always eat at the pub are, there's a very nice decoration, you feel like you're home.Nice screens to watch games, great service, friendly staff and delicious food! Go ahead and ask the bar staff about the offer of the day, you can even get a pint of beer with a pizza slice for 5 pounds!

I am a regular guest of Tompkins,and I would like to share with you my dissapointing experience today around 2pm. I asked for a capuccino, and It was not as expected by far, It was watering, with too much foam and when the foam dissapeared, I noticed that the cup was half empty. I simply asked for adittional hot milk to refill it and It was provided by the gentle waiter without any problem. Surprisingly, one of your waitress (a lady from East Europe, black and long hair,blue eyes and tall) approached me asking if I had any problem with my coffee. She reacted arguing with me, being really rude, telling me several times that the capuccino was not wrong, that I was wrong and my opinion was wrong. She didn't understand that the capuccino wasn't good "to me", as the guest that I was paying 2,70 pounds and the only that I wanted was to customize my coffee, looking for a solution by myself. I didn't ask to refund the money or even for a new one. It's ridiculous how she dared to talk to me so rude, and furthermore, she didn't apologized or gave me a solution.I must add that I am working in a five star hotel for a long time and this behaviour was unacceptable and the capuccino did not meet my expectations at all.

Tompkins is an OK place to eat and drink in South Quay but is very pricey. The drinks are the same as other establishments but much more expensive. The atmosphere is not great, sometimes it can be a bit poncy.

I visited this place with work colleagues for a beer after work and the place is nice, a bit overpriced, but beer was good, a short but ok selection, not many food options, but ok for a happy hour.

I live at the Pan Peninsula towers so it can be a very different experience to other guests. Service is not always efficient but as a regular visitor, I can tell you its a very decent place. The bar is good (although not great) but the ambience is nice, especially on a sunny day where you can lounge outside. My favourite visit to Tompkins is for the full English breakfast on Saturdays and Sundays.

Molto pretenzioso ma alla fine paghi più la bellezza della location che il posto...qualità discreta ma piatti banali, c è decisamente di meglio!

We (4 of us) were shown to our table and harassed to make our choices so we chose a cocktail to start - the two Mojito's had seven slices of lime in each and 7/8's of crushed ice - Bacardi - we think they forgot to include it, at £9 a throw just a tad of a rip off? A sour faced waitress who refused to smile took our food order. Although the food was passable, but the height of rudeness we all agreed on was when the sour faced waitress cleared two of the plates when the other two clearly hadn't finished eating their meal! When it came to bill time we found we were being charged TAX - it clearly stated on the menu VAT was included, and 12 1/2% gratuity had been added. When questioned we were told that the tax was shown for their benefit - believe that and you will believe anything! After much of a discussion (!!!) we were brought a new bill minus the tax and the gratuity - result. Establishments like this should not be allowed to get away with this. Just as a by the by, there were five very pleasant young men on the next table whom also had problems! Apart from having to wait an hour for their meal there bill was incorrect also - surprise, surprise. I think at this point we will rest our case.

Booked a table 2 months in advance for my boyfriends 21st birthday, a month later I received a phone call cancelling my reservation with no reason given, like an idiot I rebooked for the following day. When we arrived, spending over £30 to get there, we find out that the kitchen has closed and no one has bothered to let us know - even though they had my number! Absolutely horrified with the customer service and ruined his 21st birthday!!
