The service was appalling and the staff was rude. The steak which i paid £40 was tough and when i complained what was said was “what do you expect when you order the cheapest steak”. I would not go again.

Our second visit to this fabulous steakhouse, won’t be our last. The service was outstanding, always a friendly smile, food was truly amazing, and it all wrapped up in a cosy little restaurant on a cold, winter evening.

If all your judging on is the steak then this is the place for you. However it was not the best experience I've had at a steak house. The staff were a little disorganised, on a few occasions asked the same thing off more than one member of staff including asking for payment twice, but very polite and friendly. Some ingredients not shown on the menu. Others missing off the dish with no explanation. A little overpriced. Overall a pleasant experience.

One of the good pub/club in Newcastle upon Tyne. Located in the centre of the city. Easily accessible and a good atmosphere.

I had been the previous week for a brunch which I had thoroughly enjoyed. So, when the opportunity arose it was time to get my wife to sample the delights. We hadn't booked, but despite being lunchtime there were some tables available. (Not too many tables there, so booking would be advisable if you can) Umming & aahing over the reasonable menu took a few minutes with the waitress helpfully double checking ingredients. The coconut prawn sandwich for the better half & the all gravy baby sandwich (beef & cheese) for me. Simple drinks of tea & a (delightful) cappucino to wash it down. Great, friendly service from the attentive staff. We will be re-visiting to satisfy our sweet tooth with croffles & drinks.

Visited for lunch, advisable to book, can have saltwater menu in the porterhouse, recommend sitting in porterhouse if it’s a party over three people as there is proper tables rather than bar stools. Although you are in a department store it doesn’t feel as such. There is a set menu available on certain days of the week. We opted: for rockerfella oysters, crispy oysters, crab parfait, and chicken liver pate. Followed by tuna steak, wagyu burger, hake fillet, and beef stroganoff, all exceptional.

Burger was great, the "triple cooked chips" were unfortunately quite poor - if you are going to make a thing of "triple cooked" then they have to be excellent. There was also a too long wait for food, > 45 minutes.
