Great little club, not usually a fan of them but this one and Astoria were the exceptions. Bar staff were lovely. The drinks tasted good and weren't overly expensive either.

I am 25 years old serving armed forces for 7 years and the staff was so rude and nasty telling me they are not letting me in at all (stone cold sober btw ) for no reason other than “they can “ utter disgrace

Paid £8 to get in. Went outside 15 minutes later for fresh air after not having a drink and got told I wouldn’t be allowed in again. Never mind the character assassination I was subdued too. Theft pure and simple !!

Very disappointed! queued for an hour plus, and when we get the the guy that lets you go to the barrier let’s 30 plus girls go through. When questioned upon this, he said that one of them worked there. When we said that’s not fair he was very threatening and said “do you want to get in”. This caused us to queue for a further 30 minutes. Very disappointed about the way we were spoken to.

If I could give 0 stars, I would... absolutely awful security on the door, no respect for people. We'd just come from the Guildhall Village to meet with friends before going on a night out and the people on the door were rude, the security wouldn't let me step outside to meet with a friend who wasn't with us, asked me once to move, after I'd said I was looking for my female friend, then they grabbed me and pushed me out off the way. Left crying, never returning, young women please don't go here.

On holiday going to Victorious Festival and couldn’t get in because my 46 old wife hadn’t got I.D., really??? Edit: oh, and the bar was fairly empty too! You just turned away paying customers!

Was very drunk so cant say i remember much but i got a pound coin with their sticker on and that just screams quality tbh.

The vibe inside the club was the standard. What gave the 2 stars was the fact that they only care about the spikey clientele. If you don't meet the low standard or you're not a spice boy, then i'd strongly recommend that you steer clear of this establishment. The place only runs off its hype that it's the only place open on a Sunday.

Its a good place to go but the staff need to be more attentive to there customers and spend less time on there phones.

So I don't live in Portsmouth but I came here on the recommendation of a friend. The experience however was spoiled by irritable and rude staff members. After paying for my drinks (the card machine reading accepted - and the money coming out of my account), I was asked to repeat the purchase because it didn't go through. After explaining it had, the unstable staff member repeated "I'm not stupid" among other things, while raising her voice. Have you ever heard of customer service skills? Imagine this occurring in another hospitality role like a cashier at Tesco's, it's unreal. Luckily it was Friday, which meant I could finish my bitter drink and move to Astoria quickly. I wouldn't recommend this place, except as a stopgap ONLY on Fridays. Unless you like paying double for drinks :/

It’s definitely better since it was taken over / rebranded from Lyberry, but it’s really more of a bar. Best thing is it’s attached to Astoria next door, so you can pass between throughout the night.

Very rude and aggressive security guys...infact the lady with blond hair. She's a bully, very aggressive towards pple. Not professional. On the other hand the service at the bar is better.

It's more of a bar than a nightclub. There is nothing special about this place however it is attached to Astoria which is also decent. If you was going here then I'd recommend coming for pre-drinks instead of an actual night out. Genrally I would recommend PRIZM over Astoria/Mr. Miyagi's.

Cheap drinks, good music and beer pong available if your early. Dance floor is small but good enough.

You can play Beer pong for a reasonable price good for pres sometimes before going out elsewhere and large cocktails get you a free miyagis headband

Great night out! Lovely cocktails. All the staff were polite and helpful. Felt very safe walking around with all the bouncers. Can’t wait to go back! Would definitely recommend it, well worth a visit.

Mr miyagis for me is my favourite venue by far, the music is so versatile, old sing alongs, R&B, House, and loads more, they have these cocktails served in noodle boxes only costing 8 quid and they’re big so it’s such good value for money, they have 2 for 1 offers too their bar has pretty much everything, it’s been rare they haven’t been able to serve the drink I want, the staff are quick and clean seeing them constantly sanitising the bar and tables the vip section actually feels like being in vip, doorman there only certain people, bottle service by some really decent hosts and the energy the staff bring to the venue what makes it so good seeing them have fun whilst we have fun too! Would highly recommend

Open 7 nights a week we always come here pre drinking as open from 8pm. Got to love a cheeky cocktails and we love the cocktails in the noodle pots something different to other venues. Staff are friendly and djs are brilliant. If your looking for a venue to spend your nights in come here. Also Friday nights there linked with the astoria one biggest night clubs on South Coast. Love playing beer pong. 🍺

Nice aesthetic, good music and reasonably priced. Shame that it ended with a security guard (short middle aged guy?) kicking me out for ‘being asleep’ when I was on my phone and had time stamps to show I was texting every few seconds. Really odd, never had issues at any other club or bar. Would be a good night if that specific guy wasn’t on shift.

We waited 1.5 hours for our drinks, the DJ was awful and I got told to shut up by the waitress. Wouldn’t go here if you paid me. After leaving this review they have banned me from their venues for a ‘fraudulent review’. Unbelievable customer service.

Not surprised it has so many poor reviews, ran to absolute shambles. Expensive entry for a below average club turned bar, that only serves overpriced package deals and completely takes advantage of covid guidelines. The manager is defensive to any criticism as he’s aware that the clock is ticking on the amount of time this low standard venue has.

My daughter booked a table with friends, had to pay 5.00 cash to get in though states free before 8pm then gets told they can only pay for a 50.00 package. The manager was extremely rude by all accounts. When they asked for their money back as they could not get what was advertised they were told no. To me this is a shambles. They also state hand sanitizer before entering but none available.. To your reply.. I'm not sure how you know who is my daughter? If you are stating that the girl you asked to leave then this is NOT my daughter Many thanks

Paid £5 to get sat in the corner with absolutely no speakers or music, then sat and waited over half an hour for service to be told they weren't doing cocktails which hadn't been made clear at all. Our first waitress didn't utter a word other than "we're not doing cocktails" (super friendly welcoming vibe) and gave us water instead of lemonade. Water and vodka, banging mix, the second waitress was nice though🤷‍♂️

I have had 2 good nights here. But the 3rd night they gave me the wrong drink in a leaking cocktail box and refused to replace it for free and demanded I pay!

Pretty poor place. Assumes their punters are Portsmouth Uni students and judges them accordingly. Drinks are overpriced for the value of the night out you get. Would only go there again if I was boozed and had impaired judgement.

Floors very sticky when it gets later, but otherwise not bad, even better when they open up the back entrance to Astoria. Can't tell if security/door staff are rude or have a terrible sense of humour, but the bar staff are friendly.

Prices on drinks are average and the bar staff are fairly friendly. There is not enough space for people to move about though and ping pong tables crowd the room.

I'm a 43 year old man, and went for a drink with my son which I haven't done in over a year, payed five pound to get in, which was fine, but after one drink I went a walk about to see what the club was about and went into a door , which I guess we wasn't allowed , was quickly apprehended by the power hungry twatty bouncers that suggested we went round to the front to get back in cause yes we made a mistake who doesn't , just to get turned away cause we entered a door , we didnt know would get us thrown out, bouncers are power hungry nothing changes from the last time I went out 20 years ago, would I recommend, not a chance in hell and I will be recomending all my friends to avoid to, ..... And before you say I was drinking before I got in there I had one, and that was my first drink in a year , so in essence my drink cost me best part of a tenner, thanks ,,,, not !!!!!! Never again

If casual racism and drinking cocktails out of noodle boxes are your thing, this is just the place!

Always go here on Purple Wednesday, you get a wristband and drink for £5 and it lets you init fleet and popworld, on Friday night it's joined with Astoria, it's such a chill place for pre clubbing or to just drink, they have beer pong tables too, which you can do, highly recommend for society events

Ein komischer Laden, an sich nicht unbedingt lobenswert, aber wenn nichts anderes auf hat, kann man mal vorbei schauen.

The staff are amazing here! They always seem so happy and are so friendly! The fire acts are amazing that stand outside the venues. Always have a great time and the drinks are cheap as well!

It's OK, rnb music which I like. It's mainly just the people that it attracts which are questionable. Overall worth a visit on a night out.

Very poor security staff, lack of communication which caused myself to attend the local A and E due to their injuries. I will not be recommending anyone to drink at this place £6 to get in. and the place is very bland , it is an alleyway
