McDonald's in Portsmouth

MacDonald's is no longer a fast food service. I ordered breakfast on the app and joined the queue for the drive-through. By the time I reached the kiosk (45 minutes later), I was told I could not have my order as it was 11.10am. Yet I was stuck in the queue and was told, sorry you've just wasted 45 minutes of your life for nothing. Absolute joke of a place, and the manager didn't care less either. If I went to a restaurant, I wouldn't be told I can't have the food I ordered, yet MacDonald's can treat their paying customers like dirt and just say, oh well, not my problem.

Fast food is fast food! No care taken when putting burgers together!

Chips were limp, warm and anemic.. not for the first time. Whoever works the chips on a Fri night needs retraining!! Otherwise, burgers were fine.. staff friendly. Just please make the chips crispy, cooked and hot!!

The food was all yet again very cold it’s every single time from certain Mac Donald’s not warm , actually cold, no form of heat at all to it the fries are like cardboard when they are cold so all of it is ruined and only order from there because it’s the only place open at that time of night

As it seems with many macdonalds these days cleaning up and refilling is not a priority.

Was a faster delivery due to my hour wait last time. I just hope it continues. It’s unfair being the last stop at such a long distance . And that’s AFTER a long cooking time. Orders should be recooked if driver cannot commit to the time frames, and whether the restaurant cooks it, leaves it for 20+ mins to get cold and send it out rather than recook it

1 of 4 I tried to get a Chocolate milkshake For my pregnant misses and failed. So I tried Shake and grill on Elm Grove and found these shakes taste better. Separate day going through drive through no milkshakes! Separate day delivery missing multiple items!

Again the food was cold before I got up the stairs as the driver was finding my house

not only was the milkshake bag was on its side almost spilling over, the other bag was another drink. usually I have a good service and never complain but the delivery driver needs to take more care as someone else has 2 lots of food and no drinks as there was only 2 bags in his big bag.

I specifically asked for it to be cooked fresh. Everything but the cheeseburger was stone cold almost.

Good customer service and friendly environment

The food seemed to be tastier than other McDonald's. It was very busy but it is the summer holidays, located near Fratton Park and across the Rd from Tescos express and near a big Aldi and Big Home Bargains and B&Q. Popped in here as was on our way home, not a great deal of seating but good for a quick bite.

TLDR: Skip this and go to KFC across the road, lovely staff, fast service with piping hot food at a better deal for the amount you get. Food warm but definitely not fresh or at least not cooked to temp, KFC opposite provides piping hot food every time, this McDonald’s never even does hot. Hot chocolate is always disgusting even after complaining directly to the manager and to customer service. You’re better off getting a chocolate milkshake and heating it up yourself not only will it be hotter but it actually tastes like a hot chocolate albeit much sweeter and richer. If you want to order breakfast make sure you order in plenty of time, staff will waste your time at the terminal/window when trying to pickup your food saying they can’t find your code, or your food etc (it’s an easy enough task) until breakfast is over. I can honestly say it’s one of the worst McDonald’s around but at the moment they have the 50th anniversary donut which is nice, something not made in house though so not surprised.

No ice and drinks was flat nine chicken selects meal were freezing. Cold had to reheat as well as the chicken selects and chicken nuggets. Share box

Fairly consistent McDonalds here in Pompey. Has been a regular of mine in the past for a late night meal. Used to be served by a wonderful employee with witty reportoire. Having had McDonalds in the continents of North America, Europe, Asia and Australia, I believe I have a good overview of what a good McDonalds should taste like. My McDonalds ratings are based on the classic Regular Quarter Pounder Meal to standardise my review. So let's break it down: Quarter Pounder: 8/10 Fairly consistent patty, usually warm. Good sprinkling of onion. Bun well warmed, not burnt. Fries:8/10 Usually we'll salted, tasting fresh and hot. Drink: 10/10 Coke Zero is fizzy, right amount of ice. Total: 26/30 Good Job team, could still learn some from Sutton Scotney Southbound, but keep up the great work 🥳

Went to get a McFlurry at 11am ( weather in the mid 20s ) to be told NO ICE CREAM , apparently machine on weekly clean which takes 6 hours , maybe this should be done earlier in the day as they are open till 2am , won’t recommend McDonald’s service to anyone .. usually it’s the hot chocolate unavailable too

very good experience overall. Food banging. Had a very nice young man run the food over. Name was luke, He was very polite and friendly. After we had said the chips were slightly bland he was over in seconds to help us. Luke definitely made the experience for us!!!

The past 4 times we have come here we have been asked to “park up” if I wanted to park up I would have walked in. It’s supposed to be fast food. Service is bad and not efficient.

We just popped into the drive-through for chips and a milkshake because we had 30 minutes to wait before collecting my wife from St Mary's hospital. First McDonald's milkshake I've had for a couple of years, and I have to say that my teeth are taking ages to recover from the massive sugar content.

Consistently poor service and poor food. I have been served an upside down big mac that had been dropped, cold fries .....3 times, room temperature milkshake with a dirty lid and chicken selects that needed a little longer cooking time .....they looked nothing they should. Seems delivery orders are by far a priority. Yuk.

These guys accepted the order before 11pm, the food did not reach us until gone 1am. Items were missing including both drinks. We also received someone else’s order. The food was stone cold when we got it, I cannot rate low enough. Don’t order from this restaurant.

I think the manager needs to re-train the staff. When we order we always request to have it double checked as have had missing items quite a lot and today was no different. This really needs sorting out

Food were cool, drink was Leaked my drink only got half. I did order many time McDonald’s in the midnight. It is the first time I received the food are cool and delivered come toooooooo late which is ridiculous.

Made a breakfast order through just eat at 10am. Estimated delivery was 10.30. At 10.30 this was delayed, it was then delayed again. After waiting an hour the order was then cancelled at 11am (after breakfast had finished). Shouldn’t be left waiting an hour for the order to just be cancelled.

Was not happy with my order of three burgers deals and I said no pickles and in all my order it had gherkin in it so I was not happy and the chips was not cooked properly so I was not happpy at all with the food quality
