Worst place ever for customer service..... never answers the phone

bad delivery service don’t even believe the time it says on uber eats such a scam had to wait an hour for the order to arrive their phone is busy even though the restaurant is open on uber eats i feel scammed for real

Food did not arrive. Driver phoned and said something about Domino's Pizza on an awful line. Now refusing to answer the phone for 2 nights in a row. I work in a local hotel so will be sure to tell guests to avoid.

Ordered Via UberEats based on the delivery time being quick, but when it came to the latest quoted time our food still did not arrived. Phoned them and they said it was on its way but unable to track as they use their own driver, but said it would be within the next few minutes. I explained we order based on quoted time as we needed to be out that evening so could not hang around, they assured me it would be within 15 mins. Nope, 15 passed, 20 came and still not arrived (now 40 mins in total late passed the max time quoted) so phoned again and had to cancel. They said we would need to contact Uber so we did, but when Uber tried to verify by phone the delay they did not answer. So thankfully uber went ahead after showing we did make calls to them and our CCTV could verify what we said, so they did refund us (Uber). 5 mins later the food arrived and we said sorry it was to late and we had pot noddles now as they were so late, after another 5 mins they phoned and said we could have the meal for free, but i heard this before from other places on late food orders and then they show we taken the food (Being all cold) and then Uber will not refund then so said no sorry will not accept. No point putting time frames on orders if they are unable to keep to them, lost a new customer now, will not use again.

I recently dined at Whody and had a fantastic experience. The restaurant is great, and I thoroughly enjoyed the burger, especially the truffle burger. The flavors were outstanding, and the service was excellent.

When I went to dine in, it took alot of time for them to come and take the order and bring the food as well. Love the food. But the service is really bad.

Out of all the burger places I've tried in Portsmouth, this is by far the best! Consistent quality, great service, very good value, and above all everything tastes great! Highly recommend if anyone's looking for a takeaway place. This place has never disappointed.

Decent food. But not worthy of the price. 9.99 for a burger and nothing else, no fries, no ranch, no nothing. Portions are small. It ain't worth it no more.

Ordered the beef and chicken burger and very much enjoyed it. I had no issues with undercooked meat like some of the other reviews suggest. It could be a gamble but I had no issues. The burger was excellent: sweet from the onions, savoury from the meat, nice soft buns and a nice bit of heat from the Chipotle Mayo. Great burger and will definitely be visiting again. Picture does not do it justice. It tastes a lot better than it looks. Not as good as Merchant House but better an Umami Street Food in my opinion.

Ordered deserts off just eat, the New York cheesecake I ordered was disgusting, nothing like the picture and tasted off it was just a plain basic cheesecake with no taste and they charged £6.45. Won’t order again

Ordered via just eat and after waiting for ages i checked to see where my food was and it said it had been delivered. NOBODY came to deliver my food. I want a refund ASAP

I went here for my weekly random food place check. Definitely worth it for price and taste. The guy who took my order was the most polite and helped a guy who was low on funds. Definitely going again.

Chocolate cake was hard and didn’t have much taste to it cheesecake had no taste and it’s not worth the price could do better!

Don't ever listen to simple instructions! gets order wrong then when confronted says they'll send you the right order for no one to deliver and to then not even answer the phone !!!!!!

The hygiene and cleanliness seems awful, i brought a friend to the restaurant once and the employee started changing the prices making them more expensive than the menu. The costumer service is also bad and the place is full of food remains, and the toilet are so dirty.

Tried their OG burger and the Truffle Shuffle and I only have one thing to say, Worth Every Penny. A small tip if you like a bit spice and want to take the burgers up a notch. Get a Red Hot Randh Dip with the burger and pour half of it or however much you want on the patty and enjoy

The cleanliness is bad, the worker does not wear gloves, and the liars are manipulating the prices. I told him the price of the burger is not the same as the menu. He said, “This menu is old, and the cleanliness of the store is very bad, and the style of the employees is very bad.”

Delivery and service is horrendous. Don't believe any delivery times on delivery sites. An hour after I placed the order I called and was told it was out for delivery and to wait 10 mins before calling back. No sign, so I called again and was told the order wasn't even ready yet and I had the choice to wait another half hour or get a get a refund. They said I shouldn't have ordered with Uber as it's always an hour and that it was my fault. No apology. He put the phone down on me. 90 mins after ordering it appeared. Uber eats said 20-30 mins

Used to be really good burgers but they've massively gone downhill recently. I think they must have changed the patties and they put far too much mayo and mustard on now, too. It's a real shame because these used to be great and didn't cost stupid money.

Downright terrible place. I placed an order yesterday on deliveroo with an estimated order time of 20 minutes. The order didn’t arrive. I phone today to explain and ask for a refund, they asked for my postcode and then said “it’ll be 10 minutes” - when I explained (again) that I was phoning about an order from yesterday they hung up. I asked to speak to a manager, the hung up again. Awful awful place, avoid.

I can’t usually be bothered to leave a review but for whodys I have to. DONT BOTHER. Might aswell be a scam. Not only will you not get your money refunded. You’re spoken very rudely (in poor English) so you can barely understand. Very unhelpful. I’d assume the previous reviews about the food people actually receive is true. Probably terrible since the service stinks. My food also never arrived. I was constantly lied to and hung up on each time. Don’t waste your time order from maccies instead..

Always order the beef burgers always been decent tasty! The chicken burger first time ordering we had today however was undercooked and pink had one bite texture felt unusual looked off colour and shiny :/

Whenever I feel like having an ice cream this place is the only place I go. Everything there fresh. Food cooked to order. For me no place is better than whoody’s. I came across this place by accident. Value for money 💰 👌 they also do ice cold milkshakes. Whenever you walk past or walk in the smells hit you. They have about 20+ flavours. Give this place a chance.

Mouldy burger and cold food. Rang the owner and sent him photos of the mould. He apologised and said he would give me a refund. I had to message him days after and he ignored me. Still no refund. Will not order from here again. I wish I had listened to the other reviews before ordering

Genuinely one of the worst takeaways I've ever had, The OG chicken burger was drenched in oil and for some reason tasted of peanut butter? The garlic sauce tasted absolutely rank and the buns were wet... not soggy... wet. The chicken in the burger was microwave burnt, black parts on the edges from when they left it in too long. Chicken and bacon ranch fries... straight out of the microwave, cheese was like a blob of glue on my wet warm fries. Don't waste your money for grim microwaved food

The food was much better when they were at the old place, the burgers are so thin now, even the packaging they’ve changed and food doesn’t stay hot, they always miss delivery notes, and send me the wrong food. They are very rude, when one of their own delivery drivers couldn’t find my house the driver blamed me to the manager that I didn’t answer my door when infact HE COULDN'T FIND MY HOUSE! Then the manager excused me of lying and said his driver is right and I’m wrong, absolutely disrespectful and unprofessional. They refused to re-deliver and refused to refund me. The managers tone of voice was so horrible, I was one of their regular customers from day one but after that incident happened I no longer order food from there. They are not honest people.

Just came across this place and popped in for lunch. We didn't expect too much but were very pleasantly surprised. We had chicken wings which were super fresh and tasty, and a chicken wrap which was stuffed full of chicken and tasty too. Very happy and will return thank you.

Awful service, dishonest staff. I called multiple times asking where the driver was. 5-10 mins away they repeated each time. Only after the order was now 2 hrs overdue, and the rider had now returned, did they actually look into it. He finally says that the driver had left it at the wrong address by mistake! My plans had now been ruined so I just cancelled the order. THEY RECEIVED THE REFUND. NOT ME?!? AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS.

Amazing experience while having dinner at Whody. Taste was so good as I have not experienced that yummy food in whole portsmouth. Staff was so cooperative. Must try their shakes as well. 👍👍

Terrible service. Ordered 2 waffles for delivery, an hour later when they were still not delivered, called to have a response saying they had left and they were on the way. 20 minutes later, called again were we found they had not even been made yet and would take another 20 to arrive. No apology was given, the fact that they lied and said they had left after checking our postcode was appalling. If the first phone call had resulted in an apology and confirmation that they would be arriving soon it would have left a much better taste in the mouth! Unfortunately we are left with no waffles and a rather grumpy Sunday lunch outcome, from a rude and lying company, with 2 hours in total of waiting for nothing to arrive. They have shown no interest in retaining our custom. Will no longer be using and encourage you not to either if you intend on having an easy treat! Terrible customer service.

Ordered via Deliveroo at about 1:30AM, wasn’t fussed as had ordered at this time before, however approximately 11 seconds after we ordered I was greeted with a ‘on the way’ message. ‘Fantastic’ I thought to myself, quicker than ever before, however after approximately 120 minutes, no food was upon no table. The restaurant was no longer accepting calls, and Deliveroo (possibly the most useless delivery service of all time) was telling us that despite the fact we had spent forty great British pounds sterling, and received no goods because they had received no communication from ‘whody’ they could not give a refund. So here we are, starving, having spent as good amount of money on this restaurant, having received absolutely nothing. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Ordered on Deliveroo and it was all going swimmingly until it got closer and closer to the estimated delivery time and still nothing. The restaurant would not answer their phone and deliveroos horrible customer service meant that we were left empty handed. I tried contacting Deliveroo the next day who reached out to the restaurant who said they attempted delivery and tried to call me (which is a lie as my phone did not ring once and there was delivery instructions on the order to ring my flat buzzer) Waited 2 hours for nothing to turn up and now I’ve thrown £40 down the drain that they’re refusing to give back to me

So after reading mixed reviews i thought I’d order from here and see how it goes. Not to be rude or anything understandably every business has its ups and downs however I spent £65 and not one item I ordered was not edible apart from the cheesy chips. Not to mention that they also got the order wrong. So to be completely honest I’d not recommend this place to absolutely anyone. Save your money and go elsewhere.

When we 1st started using Whodys around 5 months ago it was great, delivered in good time & reasonable portions (loaded fries in a nice round takeaway dish & full burgers) however, the last 4 times of using, takes well over an hour & had to call up asking where order is each time, over this time the burgers have shrunk by 50% & no longer fill the bun & tonight after over 1 & half hours, loaded fries came in a burger box decreasing the size of the portion by over 60% & couldn't even get the chicken tenders right by sending me wings. I have never known quality to go down hill so quick in such a short time, will be the last time I use them which is a pity TBH!

Every 5 star review seems to be fake or someone who works at the place. Food is hit and miss. But quality is awful. Was better when they were in a small upstairs kitchen.

Been there many times and it'll be safe to say that the food quality is exceptional! They've started doing desserts and they do waffles like no other.

Amazing experience as always! I went to the restaurant with my family. Whody's burgers are always up to the mark - full of flavour, the loaded fries were so yummy and the cajun tenders were so juicy. For dessert, we had waffles, a crepe, an ice cream sundae and a smarties cookie dough. We truly enjoyed all of the desserts, the ice cream was so yummy, the brownie of the sundae was so gooey and had a full chocolate flavour and cookie dough was super delicious. My family loved it too, we will definitely be coming here again and I highly recommend this restaurant to others. Keep it up Whody :)

Tried this new Burger Joint in town. Amazing flavour they serve generous portion sizes and have great dessert options. I tried the crêpe, it was fantastic!
