Pearce was lovely, fantastic service throughout!

Pearce was absolutely amazing, so kind and was such a good sport. He was so relatable and relaxed and spoke to us about lime bikes and made sure we got our desserts even though the kitchen closed in 10 minutes. Would definitely come again.

The atmosphere is always friendly and relaxed and the staff are always friendly.

Me and my boyfriend were served by the loveliest man, we didn’t get to ask him his name. We visited today at 4:30. He was extremely attentive and had a great attention to detail. We noticed how welcoming and hospitable he was with all his tables in his section. We were very impressed with how considerate he was throughout. We had drinks, mains and dessert. A massive thank you to the lovely man!

Wes was lovely, very attentive and funny. The food was nice, beef was cooked nicely and wasn’t dry like I’ve had in some other carveries.

Came on sunday round 6pm for a roast and was pleasantly surprised carvery station was clean Evan though very busy carver Jack was pleasant and gave a good portion of meat waitress Neileigh was friendly and very good at her job super quick service well hired team and superb meal well done guys

Came today for 1st time the server wes was friendly helpful and was a pleasure the food was hot and spot on will be returning

Having not been here for a while, we came for an evening carvery, meat was moist and there was a good selection of vegetables, you did have to wait for the veg, as they were taking most of it for the take away customers and deliveries

Molly was a great server :) she was friendly and approachable with a can do attitude :) 10/10

Service was very good and Neileigh our server was very friendly bubbly and efficient and made our visit very enjoyable 👍service was very quick too.

Not enough Vegan or Vegetarian breakfast options compared to other competitors. Food was okay. Hashbrown kept under hot heat made them chewy/hard. Plum tomatoes were runny and probably straight out from tinned plum tomatoes. Though tomatoes taste good. Could add a few more items on the menu i.e. yogurt, juices, drinks, various types of breads, various potatoes items etc

Food was lovely our waiter Pearce was very polite and helpful so much better experience than Sutton-in-Ashfield branch.

Presentation of the food was awful. Unfriendly service behind the carvery. Veg dry, mash hard as rock...skin on carrots, cabbage uncooked and poor quality peas. Meat quite good.

Lunch here was fresh, hot and tasty! plenty of choice, clean restaurant. Staff could be a little bit more welcoming on arrival.

Missing some items on our visit as no beef left and turkey cooked on fly 🤷‍♂️ Service was quick and overall very nice. Our waiter really love his job, pity I forgot his name to give him a shoutout! Portions are small as usual 😉😁

Always a good meal and reasonable prices. A pity there were no Yorkshire puddings.

Came for food today had 2 dinners me and my friend enjoying but mash was lumpy hardly any meet mainly fatty bits we left me and my friends was sick and got over my friend white crocks

Came for a family meal, *a knife was missing for one of the family members. we asked for an additional knife but never came. (one member didn't need a knife so it was resolved by ourselves) *The prawn cocktail was awful sent back as prawns was rubbery. We all had the roast meat was amazing, *potatoes was under cooked and hard, so was the *carrots needed a bit more in the pan. *no cheese on the cauliflower cheese. Gravy was amazing and so was the Yorkshire puddings. The drinks machine was not working on the Pepsi, but the apple Fanta was working fine. The meal was OK, but waitress was not with it with the knife matter and even asking for the bill she was not there in mind. ended up going to the till and requesting. Wasn't the best but was not the worst we have ever had.

It’s always a joy to visit a Toby carvery , not only is the food great , but also nicola looked after us well she makes us feel like one on the family.

Went in for all you can eat breakfast with my husband and 2year old. Paid £23. Already shocking as it says kids eat for £1 on their website. Some plates were dirty and had dried gravy on it. Have to ask for vegetarian sausages and scrambled eggs separately, not sure why it can't be left as one of the options at the buffet. Toast machine kept burning the bread, no matter how much butter you put on it still tastes burnt. Vegetarian sausages tasted okay, just took a while to have a bite as it looks unappealing and raw. Hashbrowns were crispy, but also very dry inside. Beans were okay, probably best part. Tomatoes... oh my the tomatoes... you can't just dump tinned chopped tomatoes for English breakfast, like cmon... so overall £23 for few nice eggs, beans and mushroom. My daughter ate half a toast and half an egg.. luckily i brought her own water, wasn't given a glass. Never again, would cost us less for better food at Tinas cafe or Quayside cafe down the road.

Roast potatoes, carrots and other veg have been consistently hard and undercooked, first time we went it was brilliant but the last few times have been very disappointing.

Mac and cheese was good and and the carvery was delicious

There were flies everywhere, on the food, on the plates, even in the accessible toilets! Staff were disinterested and borderline rude! Told we couldn’t sit in the restaurant for breakfast because they had set it for dinner. No greeting or smile. Toilet was filthy. Not going here again, it’s seriously gone downhill!

The staff where fantastic could not fault them at all there was a new lad that was brilliant but unfortunately the food was horrendous the beef was just extremely fatty bits left the gamon looked like it had been sitting there for days the roast potato where dry hard and tasteless the veg was hard crispy and dry and also tasteless the Mac and cheese had hardly any cheese the gravy was more like water with a stock the mint sauce was watery and watered down overall not a great experience at all to the point the children didn’t eat much as didn’t like it so we all ended up leaving most of it and went to McDonald’s on the way home

Just been for my first carvery here in colwick, was served by a young lad called Seb, he was so lovely and polite and very helpful, made sure we had everything we needed and would definitely return here as it’s nice to have such great customer service, Thankyou seb!!!

Place very run down. Was very dirty inside around the windows and the floors. Flies sitting on the meat and sauces ! Grim.

Easily booked online and great offer for kids. On arrival the restaurant was not bust and we quickly were shown to our table. Drinks order was taken, it might be useful for staff to know what size small medium and large is, I asked what size a medium drink was and was told a medium glass,I almost laughed thinking she was joking but she wasn't! Most places would say pint, half etc. We ordered food and one child wanted meatballs but the waitress wasn't sure if they had any but didn't come back to let us know either way - they eventually arrived and they were very overcooked and burnt so much they were stuck together. Had we not been paying £1 I'd have complained. The carvery was much better, meat was delicious though as usual sliced very very thinly. Disappointed with selection of vegetables which was shredded cabbage, peas and carrots.

Adele and Patricia really looked after us, outstanding service, and the food was excellent. We will be back.

Our server Molly was the nicest person we had ever had the pleasure of introduced to l. She was friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble for her, she went over and above to make our visit and experience memorable and thanks to her we all came away having not only fantastic food but also felt that our custom was very well appreciated. Well done Molly.

Service was shocking, waiting long periods for a drink that was refillable, the cleanliness was poor, there were glasses on empty tables which were still there when we left, we didn’t even have the appropriate cutlery on the table.

Booked in online for 4.40pm for a meal on the way home from a day out with the kids. Waiter was great, despite being really busy. Food was bang on, but the beef was too dry and fatty for my liking. Been coming here a few times a year for ages and will be back again.

Came last min gone 8pm and they couldn't be any more accommodating. Our server Molly was fantastic, very polite, professional. Very good at her job. Thank you

Great service and staff are brilliant

We have been regulars here for years however it has recently gone very down hill and every time we have visited there has been a problem. A couple of months back the waiter accidentally charged my card £75 instead of £17 and I was then told that I would have to wait for it to be refunded back to my card and were even going to still charge us full price for the meal! They couldn’t produce a manager when I asked to speak to one and lo and behold a week later the money wasn’t refunded so I had to drive down to the restaurant and they had to give me the money in cash. I let it go and accepted these things happen. I have visited again today at 3pm and I was told there is a 40 minute wait for a table, ok fair enough because we hadn’t booked. After 40 minutes and spending money on drinks we were given a table and then went to the carvery to be told that there was not any meat left so we left. You let people sit there for 40 minutes waiting for a table knowing you were running out of meat. The Sutton in Ashfield restaurant is so much better and will be going there from now on.

Lunchtime visit. The roasts were succulent, veg not overcooked. Yorkshires not fully cooked - other Tobys do them perfectly! Waiting staff, Adele, was very attentive. I DISAGREE TOTALLY with the concept of being entered into a prize draw in return for a 5-star review! It contravenes TripAdvisor rules - Colwick Park have removed that logo from the slips now, because I pointed that out to them. Google:- "Businesses should not force or incentivise customers to leave positive reviews. This includes offering discounts or free products in exchange for positive reviews. Incentivised reviews can mislead customers and undermine the authenticity of a business's reputation." I wonder why there are so many recent 5-star reviews!? EDITED TO ADD RESPONSE TO MANAGEMENT REPLY: My contact directly with you resulted with you saying you'd be removing the TripAdvisor logo as incentivised reviews are not allowed. The same applies with Google Reviews - hence me including the paragraph detailing their rules. NO INCENTIVISED REVIEWS are permitted. No wonder recent reviews are all 5-star!

Just ordered off uber eats, absolutely appalling. All dry and burt, only 3 spoons of gravey, and a raw Yorkshire pudding. Phoned them to complain and had the phone put down on me. Ordered carvery. Over £17 Do not order this rubbish from them uneatable. Reply to manager. ABSOLUTELY NOT TRUE. She was rude and dismissive. Obviously this is how you get away with doing nothing. It's OK if that's how you deal with customers. I've put my review on Trustpilot along with the pictures and when I showed Uber the photos of the disgusting food, they refunded my money immediately. I suggest you take a look at the garbage your staff are sending out.

Visited Toby Carvery recently and found the experience a bit hit and miss. The vegetarian food, as always, was good—reliable and tasty, which I appreciate. However, my friend, who was trying the place for the first time, had a rather poor experience with the meat. The cut he received was really fatty and looked unappealing, which was disappointing, especially for a carvery. The service was another letdown. When we asked the waiter about the vegetarian options, he was quite rude and dismissive, making us feel more like a nuisance than valued guests. It didn’t help that the dining area was uncomfortably warm, which made the meal less enjoyable. To top it off, we asked for pint glasses for water, and the waiter promised he’d bring them over. Instead, we were given small glasses with no explanation or apology. It was a minor thing, but it added to the overall feeling that the service just wasn’t up to scratch. Overall, while the vegetarian options remain consistently good, the combination of poor service, an unpleasant meat dish, and an overly warm dining area left us feeling rather disappointed.

Had it delivered absolutely disgusting everything burt or completely dried out apart from half raw yorkshires pudding, all stone cold, and three teaspoons of gravey in a tub. Phoned them to complain and they slammed the phone down on me. Do not waste your money, over £17.00

Very quiet and breakfast was okay. Sadly, our visit was spoiled by a delivery lorry that blocked our car in it's parking spot preventing is from leaving. We asked but he was rude and refused to move. He was on a tight schedule.

Good grub for any day of the week, nicely poured pints to go along with it too. The staff are great (Especially Tia) and the place is kept clean.

Whilst the service was great we felt very let down and disappointed with the calvery. Food was bland to say the least.

Such a lovely visit and such a lovely place, i was greeted by Keallie and Neileigh on the door and they were lovely, helped sort a table out straight away, i was sat in westerns(?) section i believe, very cheerful and lovely lad, had no problems figuring it all out due to him. the food at the deck was warm and nicely cooked, as well as the carver , jack being welcoming and giving me a great portion of meat, i had turkey and beef, both were excellent, would definitely come again!!

Went to get my meal and didn't give me the right portion of meat on my adult plate gave us 120g instead of 160g and our waiter messed up one of our pudding 2 times and complained to us he was the only one serving when we saw 3 other waiters

Absolutely love visiting this place. We’ve been regular customers for years and always noticed the change in staff but more recently been greeted by regular staff members which is always a bonus. 2 carvey servers in particular Ethan and Jack are always welcoming and helpful. Today we had a lovely waitress Molly, she's a newbie but doing an amazing job - hope to see you still there next time we visit. We arrived today with no booking as tried using the automated booking system but it wouldn’t let us. So we rocked up and the front of house staff Keallie and her trainee accommodated us with no trouble at all and we were seated in no time. Keep up the good work guys see you all again soon xx
