Great community owned pub. Fantastic events for children.

Such a great family friendly pub. We've been to their Halloween party two years in a row and this year we stayed for their fireworks display which, added to all the other activities, made the day absolutely fantastic! So nice to have a down to earth, family friendly pub close by with lovely staff and customers.

Not been in for years but quality pub still,will be back soon.

Booked a Sunday roast here. Wasn't expecting much to be honest. Only had the nicest meal I've had all year in Nottingham. Cosy Club, Brown's, send your chefs here to learn how to cook lamb!!!!

Unfortunately the food tainted the evening, took over an hour for "street food" from the South American place on site - so wouldn't recommend Very large beer garden on the plus side if you are not looking to eat

We only came for the Easter egg hunt! My younger grandchildren liked it but my older ones felt bored! The pub felt grubby in a way, toilet facilities were unclean, pictures on the toilet doors not very appropriate and off putting! I was glad to leave after an hour! I really didn't like that place at all! And definitely wouldn't eat there! Also the interior of this Pub looked outdated! I would never go there again!

We recently went to the Robin Hood for the first time in quite a while and the new owners were exceptionally friendly. The subtle changes to the decor are great but what blew me away was the food. Someone mentioned they went there recently for the Sunday Roast and it was the best they had ever. Since it wasn’t a Sunday we had the fish & chips and I’ve had a few in my time but nothing came close to this. The fish was cooked perfectly with a wonderful crispy chipotle batter. The minted peas and home made tartar sauce were fantastic and the coating on the chips made them very, very tasty. Exceptional. The transformation at the Robin is great with many shows & events scheduled. If you want to support a local pub choose this one!

This place is a little gem. On a road with quite a few places to choose from, I would definitely recommend a visit. In the summer I can imagine this place to be rammed as thier outdoor space is very large, very funky (count how many pianos you can find!) and has plenty of parking along with a dedicated kids area. Inside is spacious and the decor is tasteful, but maybe in need of a slight face-lift - my personal choice. Its still clean and tidy which is a sign of dedicated staff. The bar has a great selection of drinks and the prices are in line with the area. Sadly I didn't get to taste any food on this visit, though I will definitely be back to sample the menu. There appears to be a varied evening entertainment schedule with acts to suit all. The staff were amazing and very tentative - Matt in particular was very professional, warm and friendly. A definite asset to the place. I didn't get too see the whole place so can't comment on the rest of the pub, but the main bar area is nice and I will definitely be back.

Cracking little pub. Nice friendly locals and AMAZING staff. Good selection of weekly entertainment. Great drink options at good prices. Will have to try the food next time! Good central location, tidy and clean inside and a really cool & large outdoor space. Will definitely be back!

I can only rate the service and atmosphere. It's an extremely busy pub. It's family friendly which is excellent if that is what you are seeking. I prefer a more quiet pub.

Easily one of the best pubs in sherwood. The new food menu is good, plenty of veggie and vegan options on the menu. Great range of beers on draft and regularly changed cask. Great out door area for summer. Entertainment put on regularly.

Called in for a quick half when passing on the way back from a day out with the mrs, had a right laugh with the landlord :-)

Absolutely delicious food! So fresh. Gorgeous clean pub with a fantastic outdoor area. Exceeded all expectations.

Had such a great evening at the quiz! Matt was also such a babe, my friend was a little too drunk and he looked after her and was nothing but a gentlemen and looked after her, got her water, sent her home in a taxi and made sure she was safe. Next time we come in I will tip Matt because he was amazing

Friendly staff ,food was lovely ,so tasty ,I had chilli sausage and mash ,hubby had burger and my son had fish and chips ,not a bit left on our plates .

Sunday Lunch cooked with love and passion. It really doesn't get better than this. A really warm welcome and excellent service. You will need to book. We will be back.

Just had an amazing Sunday Lunch by Tacolypto at the Robin Hood Sherwood. It was so tasty and delicious with impressive portion sizes! We will be back! The pub itself had a great atmosphere, a good range of drinks and all the staff were friendly. A lovely place to eat lovely food.

What a lovely Sunday lunch! The staff were incredibly nice, such a good atmosphere in there. Would recommend for food & drinks for mates, family & everyone in between!

There is something for everyone here, ideal if you have children. It's also a great place to eat and drink if you don't. The staff are both friendly and helpful, perfectly complimented by the relaxed atmosphere and delicious food. It has a huge outside space that the team has been continually improving since it opened.

Absolutely love this pub. They have so many events going on there. Nice welcoming atmosphere. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Dawn (I think is the owner] has always got a smile for everyone. They put on good DJS from house music to your classic disco music and other events. We hate town as we are getting on a bit and there is a good mix of ages in there.Drinks are reasonable for the climate and so is the food. It's full of decent people just looking to relax and have a dance or a bite to eat. I haven't come across a pub like it to be honest. It doesn't stand still. We don't even live in Sherwood but we make an effort to get there. If you want a pub with a difference. Start going there.

Visiting friends for the weekend and came here for a Sunday Roast. I have to say, it was the best roast I’ve had in a very long time. The portions were generous and it was so so tasty. I had the beef shin and I could not fault it. Such a cosy pub, nice and warm and the staff here are a delight. Friendly, accommodating and genuine people making the whole experience enjoyable. There is a lot of establishments that can learn a lot from the staff here. Thank you and see you again sometime.

Absolutely fabulous Twice I’ve eaten here in the past 3 weeks. Always four family members at each sitting and we all agree that’s the food and service(alongside the craft beer) is the best in Nottingham Be back next weekend

Went here for a Sunday Roast and boy was I impressed. I went for the vegetarian option and recieved a lovely concoction of sweet potatoe, feta cheese, red pepper and almond. The real stars on the plate were the turnips however. I will admit, I've never been a huge fan of the turnip, but whatever the chefs here did to theirs has converted me. In fact, all the vegetables were done to perfection. They were generous with the portions too, which really added to the appreciation of the meal. We were seated by staff who couldn't do enough, despite us being walk-ins. I couldn't recommend this place enough, book now!

Have been in for a pint a few times. When we saw that they were doing a family Halloween party, we decided to take our daughter down and check it out. Not sure what I was expecting but all I can say is that it was absolutely fantastic. It was free but they put in so much effort and it had an absolutely fantastic community vibe with plenty to do for kids. If your like me and have a young family and like a bit of pub action. Go to the Robin Hood! It’s perfect!

Dark dismal service well asked for a coffee was told no milk and stopped another member of staff going to the shop to buy milk if that's how you treat customers no wonder Robin Hood pub was empty lacks atmosphere

Had to wait along time for a drink hardly anybody in there

I went in about 3.30, apparently open at 3. I said a cheery hello to the landlord. He ignored me ha! I bought a drink and asked about the food menu that is supposed to be available from 3. Apparently there was a ‘problem in the kitchen’ again. For a pub that promotes itself as a community hub, it really needs to sort itself out!

Very friendly staff, always providing service with a smile! Great selection of drinks and have some great variety including still cider which is always a favourite of mine. They put on nice entertainment and have a poker night too so there’s always plenty to do as well! Would highly recommend a visit if to anyone in the area!

Loved sharing my birthday here with good food, a cool Guinness served up with a smile, then along came a fantastic drag cabaret! - didn't expect that 😍 Dancing commenced then with good sweet music 🎶 A must go to for a most enjoyable night 💖 worthy of my 5*+ ♥️

Nice pub with good beers. Very child-friendly up to 8pm and now has regular tasty Mexican food available 5 days a week. There are indoor and outdoor play areas which are a life-saver for parents who also like their adult time! They're out of the way enough though that you can still enjoy a quiet drink without kids.

Good choice of lager and ales, all served in the correct glasses, a minor detail, but it matters. Great service, lovely outside space that welcomes children and dogs. I highly recommend a visit here

Exactly what a community led pub should be. Friendly atmosphere, lots of events on, great staff and a few local beers. Even a hidden soft play to loose the kids in for a few hours!

Lively venue, well priced drinks available for community events, birthday parties and such. Live bands and disco evenings.

Decent place for drink in pleasant surroundings. On our visit this couple..well the lady, decided the tiny dance floor was the correct place to carry out dog training sessions with her 2 dogs. It was the most bizarre and inappropriate thing I've seen in a while. It was like she was performing for the pubgoers but we all found it very odd. I would return again....for a drink not the 🐕 show

Fantastic what they’ve done with it

Went to see a drag show in the back room, only problem room is very dark, there are no stage lights, no spots, so was difficult to actually see the act, staff friendly and drinks prices not too bad. Just needs some spot lights fitting.

Fabulous pub, quirky garden with graffiti art. Upcycled pianos and umbrellas! Pop up food was Dapper Duck and it was amazing. Fabulous quality, totally tasty and great value. Vegan options available too.

Popped in last Sunday for a roast dinner and a couple of pints with friends. All the bar staff were super friendly and welcoming. It was a scorcher so we sat outside under a big canopy admiring the new artwork in the beer garden. Food was bang on. Proper decent portions, fresh al dente veg, crispy tattys, meat done just right and topped with parsnip crisps and a lovely bit of crackling. They also have my favourite Mahou lager :) needless to say all 5 of us left happy and full. Thanks guys we’ll be back again soon!

First visit to the Robin Hood, they have a door man, once inside the pub was atmospheric with different lighting and seating areas. They had traditional pub games and video games, it's dog friendly, they also have regular events and live music. And most importantly, Yes and the beer is good.

Nicely done up and very friendly

Had a Sunday beef lunch cost 13pounds somehow wasn't told there was no broccoli. The beef was so rare not chefs fault I didn't say. The worst thing is they do meat but don't offer sharp knives. The crispy not potatoes were just awful. I hope everyone else has a better time then I did. Get sharp knives is a must.

Fab venue for live music. @The Days of Tomorrow were fabulous! Thanks to the manager for one more song. Alcohol free IPA actually tasted pretty good for a designated driver. :) Can't wait to come back. Easy parking at Spondon Street. Do wish it was lit at night.

Great night out for the Masquerave event, haven't been in for years, and has ever so slightly changed, great vibe, plenty of bar staff, great visit.

Love the atmosphere in this pub - I don't live in Nottingham but visit regularly. The staff are friendly and efficient and the outside seating is good, especially when listening to live music from the pub.

Brilliant community pub. They really know how to look after their beer and customers. We visit regularly with our 1 year old who loves the soft play area. Honestly you can find it all here. Well done.
