Stopping at the hotel down the road I needed to stretch my legs and set off. This Toby carvery came into view so I took the chance to have a drink.....very refreshing.

We went to Toby for a Sunday carvery with family. The restaurant was very busy but the numerous staff were very polite and on hand if you needed any help. The food was delicious as always. Even our 18 month old granddaughter enjoyed her lunch

Arrived 10 mins early but we were welcomed and sat at our table immediately. Our server Jackie was very helpful and very friendly The roast was really lovely between the three of us we had beef pork and turkey and all very nicely cooked. A good choice of vegetables and the gravy was a decent thickness (not the width washy type you get elsewhere) The tables were nicely spaced. My home from home. Whenever I do a trip up the M4, I divert into Almonsbury. The food is always delicious. The staff are always very professional and seem genuinely happy to see their customers. This time it was Tharushi (#559), but all the staff are great. I look forward to my next trip away and my compulsory stop off!

This was the first time I have used this carvery and was very impressed with the large selection of meats and veg available. There was even some very tasty crackling which was sampled even though I didn't have the pork. We were well served by Jackie. The only thing that I felt could be improved on was the rather tight parking slots, With all cars getting wider they could do with giving the parking slots a work over. Absolutely disgusting veg and potatoes were Luke warm and dry think they all had been under the heat lamp since lunchtime, lamb was so chewy couldn't eat, stuffing was so dry couldn't get out of serving dish, crackling was so hard you couldn't eat. We were very disappointed as we have been several times before. All we were offered when we complained was that they would reheat it for us.

Visited on Sunday and must say I was disappointed. Most of the food was undercooked albeit edible, save for the eggs which looked unhealthy to eat. I have had breakfast here many times and it's always been very good, so much so this time I brought my parents to show them what they were missing, sods law says that the one time I bring my parents the food was at best under par! My parents were too polite to complain and so I didn't complain to staff at the time. On a more positive note staff were fabulous as always and I will be back, I just hope things change next time I visit and this was a one off blip. Well up to standard for Toby Carveries (which are generally of good quality). Little detail to add - it simply delivers on its carvery proposition (delighted to find lamb on offer, though).

NONE OF OUR FOOD HAS ARRIVED!! Ordered 3 meals plus sides for my family. Delivery driver passed the bag then sped off on his moped. The whole order is wrong and I have someone else's 1 person meal here, which is no good to us. It will take days to get a refund and I've been calling this restaurant for 35 minutes now and it keeps going to answer machine, despite it saying online that they're not busy. To say I'm disgusted is an understatement. SHOCKING SERVICE

Haven’t visited this (our local Toby) for a while but took advantage of the £6 voucher offer. Was pleasantly greeted on arrival and the front of house manager acknowledged our request for a quieter table (which had been specified on the booking). Even though it was really busy, she was very considerate and did her best to accommodate the request. She also asked about any allergies which is often sadly lacking (my daughter has a peanut allergy) and my daughter was subsequently given the tablet listing all the menu ingredients for checking. Escorted to our table and delighted to find that Jackie was our waitress…whom we’ve had the pleasure of being looked after by before. Always attentive, proactive, cheery and professional…she epitomises good customer service and always ensures that all are looked after (without being pushy) in a timely way. She also advised us a free meal promotion raffle…our ticket number being 990. We all had the carvery and were served by a polite and friendly chef who whilst the plates were ‘normal’ size, provided decent portions of meat. The quality of the food was excellent and piping hot (I burnt my mouth on a roast spud). It was certainly the best quality food we’d had here since previous visits. We were offered desserts by Jackie but on this occasion were too stuffed to give them a go! All in all, a really satisfying visit and we wouldn’t hesitate to visit again or recommend to others looking for a decent value meal of excellent quality. Keep it up Toby Carvery Almondsbury!

First of all the food is very reasonable for what you pay. I've come here a couple of times with my partner. Generally I have found the staff to be helpful. They are young and they could do with a bit of training but that's fine there attitudes are generally good. My only issue is this guy who works behind the bar. His attitude is really bad. When you ask him for a carvery he just tells you to wait there for a server. He makes no attempt to get a server. I don't normally complain but today we went in and he told us to wait there and then a girl came and helped us. It was only a short time after but she was right next to him and he could of told her then. I also asked him for a receipt once and he have me a really bad look like it was to much work. Like I said most of the staff are great. And do well with limited experience bit this guy behind the bar who looks about 18 to 19 really has a bad attitude. I work in catering myself so know customers can have unreasonable demands for food and service but this kid really needs to be told his attitude isn't good enough

I have just received a fine in the post for parking in the Toby Carvery car park. I am absolutely disgusted. No member of staff explained that cars need to be registered. Beware of this restaurant. Needless to say, I won’t be visiting again.
