TJ's Cafe in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

Been going in a few times recently and everyone is lovely ! Order takeaway as I’m always on the go and it’s quite quick service and 10/10 will keep coming, highly recommend this little caf!

Lovely breakfast this morning had a No#2 which cost £10 but tasted alright.

The place has new owners, I know a lot of people would be put off by this as it's always been a reliable feed. I have to say though, the new owners do a top job 👏 Very good breakfast and even better service. Well done!

Nice cafe just off the main road, tucked away on a business estate though. Breakfast baps were okay. Good value. Ticked the box for us for a quick breakfast. Tables were clean and staff were happy and tentative.

Proper breakfast plenty on lasted me the day. Service from the lasses was brilliant 5 * from me

Foods not bad however thought I’d go for the deluxe instead of the no2 as I wanted mushrooms but there was only about 5 1/4 of a mushroom and asked for extra beans which seemed none exsistant so the no2 has more food on the plate, all in all portion sizes have gone downhill over the years and £2.50 for a bottle of fizzy drink is a bit steep, would also be nice to have a cup of tea half way through breakfast or after as have to finish a cold cup of tea because it’s given to you on paying

Use cheap ingredients, charge top dollar, 2 quid for a cup of tea and the toilets are filthy. Won't be returning anytime soon

It is the most awful place I have ever frequented..... The food was cold the plates were cold and chipped disgusting prices too........avoid at all costs go to the pub for breakfast ....

Workers cafe so food is good and plentiful.

We are in here whenever we can, the breakfast is lovely, good portion size and tasty. I have read some of the reviews...they do not microwave eggs, and maybe you do have to wait sometimes for the food to be cooked but it means it's going to be hot and fresh. It is a transport cafe so a lot of workers are usually in there, but doesn't that mean it must be good if good hearty men are in for a good hearty breakfast? 5 star from me.

Always a good breakfast here. Friendly and efficient staff. We pop in at least once everytime we visit family here in Cornwall.

Nice full English breakfasts, however £3 for roughly 10 chips? 😳 The lady took my plate without asking if I had even finished my breakfast whilst I was talking to my friend on the table beside me. Service was quick also.

So slow service we waited 40 minutes for 2 breakfasts, shame we won't be back

Was directed to this place by the guys working on my car! I'm not disappointed food was excellent, service was excellent and the people were very nice and friendly! WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK! THANK YOU TO THE OWNERS AND STAFF FOR A GREAT EXPERIENCE! 👍

Delicious cafe breakfast, surprised and a little worried that it was so quiet, but that all changed when my fry-up arrived. Well worth a visit.

Had breakfast here after staying at the travelodge across the road. Breakfast was lovely. Only down side is it’s cash only

Food really good staff are friendly i eat there whenever i can

This small cafe on the edge of an industrial estate may not look much but serves a mean breakfast. Freshly cooked to order, clean and non greasy and very good value. It was quite busy, lots of cyclists had stopped for full English fuel and popular with locals and nearby workers. If you're passing and want a decent fry up, I would definitely recommend.

Stopping at the travelodge across the road as the hotel dont do breakfast we went here to us very basic breakfast asked for extra two slices of toast charged me £1 so 50p a slice .breakfast was greasy and no taste, and u had to get your own milk from plastic jug on counter we was only people in we wonder why

Bit of a greasy spoon, but clean and decent cafe style grub, cooked fresh and quickly. Certainly fits the bill on a working day. Plenty of space and always busy.

Used before,used to be great.Dreadful food,like eating in a morgue but not as cheerful. Feel robbed.

If your not looking for a POSH NOSH breakfast but one just like you get at home, then this is the place to get one. And it,s not a long walk from the Holiday inn. Good grub,Good Price. We re commend TJs to all.

Probably my worst experience of a cafe , ever ! You can not swap anything on the set menus , it’s all over priced , and randomly toast is an extra 80p, what a joke ! Staff are not particularly friendly and the food is cheap basic cash and carry ingredients. Avoid!

Yeah good food fair portion clean

Popped in here for a fry up as my usual haunt was closed for Christmas break. Place is a bit grim inside, very dated mismatched furniture, strip lighting and cold bleak walls, but was clean. Breakfast was hot and pleasant enough, but served on old cheap plates. More like a greasy spoon transport cafe than a dining experience, but it did what it said on the tin. Not great value for money, £3.80 for the most basic of breakfasts(1 sausage, bacon, egg and beans) and had to pay 50p extra for a slice of toast to go with my English breakfast??? Every other cafe I have ever been to, toast is included in a breakfast? Would I go back? Yes if my usual nice cafe was closed, but I wouldn't go out of my way to visit again.

Called in on a recent visit to Hunstanton. Although only a coffee break we really enjoyed our drinks and teacakes and by the look of the food being served up I wish we had been staying for lunch. This café has a nice homely feel to it and seemed that other customers included locals/regulars which is generally a good sign. Our only criticism, which was also mentioned by a previous reviewer, was the smell of cooking oil.

Pleasant enough, only really came here as inform it was dog friendly but this not the case.

Hi this cafe is situated above the surf shop next to the road. We had a table inside which is extremely noisy. The place was a little dirty but it is on the beach, everyone's food was excellent apart from mine which was the fish . The good dishes were the burger, falafel, pizza. The service was excellent. Value for money is debatable as all these summer seaside places do not compare to the quality you normally have for the price.

This is what you would of called a "Transport Café". No frills. The service is fine, the food is fine, you get what you pay for which is good value.

The food and price is great. It is clean and friendly. The only problem is communication. They seem to have trouble understanding what has been ordered.

the cooked breakfast was edible not greasy . Milk for a cup of tea was available from a large plastic jug on the counter . Okay if you wan,t basic . We were the only customers at the time . The couple that ran it were neither friendly or hostile just did not say much .

Staying a the nearby Travelodge, this was the nearest cafe for breakfast. They have set menus - eg Menu 1 Bacon, egg, sausage with beans. Great, but when asked for Bacon, egg, sausage with fried slice instead of beans we were told it would have to be extra 'because the beans are free!' Still OK with the extra 50p we ordered. I must say the food was fairly speedy and hot, but was literally dropped onto the table - not just 1 day, but other days too. Still, a smile would have been appreciated - we smiled at them! Buck up please!

Not a great experience, staff were not very friendly and food was just ok, and as soon as they saw your plate was finished with they came and took it away even tho some of us were still eating
