We get our fish and chips just about every Saturday. Absolutely amazing batter and cooked spot on. Weve tried so many other places but this is by far the best in CAS.

Good fish and chips. Served hot and crispy batter. Good service. Busy lunchtime but apologies were made by staff and wait time was not long.

We ate in today (family of 4). I booked a table in advance as I thought it might be busy with the government offer on at the minute! When we got there for our 1pm booking we were left waiting for 15 minutes whilst the two waitresses cleaned tables. No idea why, with customers waiting they wouldn’t have just cleared two tables quickly and got us (and two other groups) seated. We were given menus, another 10/15 mins passed and no one had taken an order so we thought maybe we order at the counter, but no. Pots of tea were served with no cups (we had to ask for them) and then had to ask again for sugar. There were four of us eating yet they only brought two sets of cutlery, we asked for 2 other sets but then they only brought one set so we had to ask AGAIN. Then when the food came out, no bread and butter so then you are again asking for that. All this can be avoided by waitresses just asking ‘is there anything else?’ One waitress (she was working in take away side) asked us this when we had to ask for the cutlery again and even my 9 year old said ‘wow at least she knows what she’s doing!’ This wasn’t an isolated event either. The table across from us also had to ask for cups to go with their hot drinks and the table behind us had their order taken before they’d even been given a menu. The food is absolutely spot on thought but I won’t be in a hurry to eat in again I don’t think.

this place has had a name change and we visited on a trip up north.... I am very concerned that they are not correctly following Covid Guidelines..... we had booked a table arrived on time... met be a young girl told her we had booked a table, I was asked to leave contact details... BUT it was just a very small flip notebook, this worried me as I had expected something more organised.... we were shown to a table with no reserved sign whilst just across was a reserved table (it never got used) my seat was no further away from the table behind me than 'in normal times' ..... the girl didnt ask us if we wanted and B&B or sauces.... food was fine but then on the way out I saw a sign on the wall asking for full contact details name. address, phone numbers ... I was nt asked this on entry and had only left name and number ... but we live 300 miles away so I mentioned it to the same girl and she replied oh sorry yes find your name and add it there.... well they are not collecting any addresses..... CONCERNED if they can not keep good visitor records what else are they short cutting

Very good value for money, 4 quid for 11 inch margarita and chips. Overall very nice but needed a bit more cheese on pizza. Brilliant customer service

The tea rooms are in a stunning location and make a great destination for a walk. We walked up from the car park in Lynmouth, it's a about 2 miles along the path. The walk was lovely along side the river which is a fast flowing stream. The path is challenging in places and a little rugid. But having a great destination drives you on. Great staff and good food. One highlight was seeing a Dipper (a small rare bird).

Start with the positives, service was nice and didn’t take long, quality of fish was nice and the chips were decent but sadly that’s about it. The portion of fish and chips was small, the chips batter was a bit anaemic too but the potato was nicely cooked, the mushy peas were very poor, not a nice colour and taste was off and the curry sauce was very watery too. Big shame as it used to be a good chippy but I don’t think we’ll be returning.

We haven't been to barracuda for a long time, but thought we'd try it, the food was really top notch, not dripping in grease, the chips were well cooked and the fish was a decent size, lovely White flakey fish, I had curry sauce with mine, that was spot on too. We don't eat a lot of takeout food, but this will be our go-to fish and chip shop in future.
