Don't order from this place, ordered food from them at 6:45 p.m. called the restaurant asking where our order was since it had been like 1 and half hour already, they kept saying the driver will be there in like 5-10 minutes and made us wait till 9:34p.m. then when I called the store again, they said the order didn't come through their system. I don't understand why they kept saying the delivery driver would be there in like 5-10 minutes when the order wasn't even made????

Food was 1 hour late, overcooked, cold and small portions. Requested money back but was refused. I will not return.

On a break away at Edgeley Holiday Park, We Ordered on Multiple occasions. Food and Service is very good. Clean food and served Hot. Alcohol option is a bonus. Staff are so friendly and helpful over the phone. Well Recommended! if you are staying at a lodge and don’t know where to eat, give Tiffin a Try!

We were two people in today for dinner. The atmosphere was pleasent and everytthing were arranged properly. Problem started when they placed the plate - not properly washed. I went to the toilet and it wasnt cleaned either. The food was average to below average. We ordered -Chicken Biriyani -Lamb Biriyani, and -Butter Chicken. There was no flavour in the biriyani and the quality was so less. The chicken in butter chicken was raw and not at all impressive. Meanwhile they didnt provide with tissue and when asked gave as kitchen rolls. There werent even handwash in the toilet. Now my stomach is upset. Not at all recommended, will never go

we got a takeaway from this establishment… and let’s just say my belly was full and happy! it was ready within 20 minutes and we picked it up gleefully ready to dig in to our scrumptious meal! we acquired masala sauce, chicken korma, bombay aloo, naan, and special fried rice AND OH MY GOLLY GOSH WAS IT GOOD‼️

Ordered two curries to have them arrive 2 hours later ( one hour past the expected time) and cold. I tried to phone up the store to ask if the food was on its way, to be met with rudeness and this is unacceptable

Tiffins Indian Restaurant is very poor. Ordered a delivery and after accepting the order about 30 mins later they informed me that my order was cancelled.. I have ordered several times from them and the same excuse, saying they were too busy to deliver the order.

So incredibly dissapointed. Ordered a curry last night, after waiting over an hour I decided to call the store and ask when my order will be delivered. The guy said ‘the driver is on his way he will be 10 minutes.’ Half an hour later still hasn’t arrived so I call again to ask about my order. The guy on the other end said ‘driver will be 2 mins’ and literally just hung on on me - even though I had more questions. My food finally arrives after 2 HOURS and it’s completely cold. Speaking to the driver he said ‘that they’re very busy’ but that’s no excuse for being hung up on and receiving quite frankly, bad quality food that was completely cold. Will definitely be no longer ordering from here. Tiffins, do better.

I rang this restaurant 2 minutes ago to speak to someone about a food intolerance and in broken English I was told 'no responsible here' I tried to clarify if this meant the right person wasn't available and before I could finish the person said 'thank you' and hung up ! ... Therefore we do not recommend this place !

The food came on time, but it’s absolute tasteless. Balti was spicy not like usual. Biryani and samosa are cooked without salt at all. Lamb tikka was ok-ish though dry. Garlic naan tastes like normal naan.

The ordering process was easy and we ordered some extra spicy dishes and they definitely delivered! Our new favourite in Guildford!

Tiffins is the best Indian takeaway I have ever got in Guildford. The dish is so yummy specially Tandori Chiken & naan. You can choose tiffins easily.

thought we would give this place a try and wish we never had, so disappointing,the lamb makhani had no flavour what so ever,was like someone had just put orange food colouring into some cream,the tandoori chicken had a very off taste like the chicken had actually gone off. Even the onion salad looked very old , I dont know how you can get a onion salad so wrong , anyway waste of money wouldn’t recommend,should of stuck to what we know best and that is the red rose.

Absolutely awful don’t waste your money or time with these . Order arrived 1hr 20 mins after ordering , stone cold and with no flavour at all , even the spicy food wasn’t spicy !! King prawn butterfly was like a shrimp with 100x more batter / breadchrumps , korma was like coconut I’m water . Total waste of £40 and when you call to complain they hang up on you

We were initially very pleased as the order total wasn't as much as we usually spend at our local Indian and it did arrive fairly quickly. However the food ranged from stale to raw. The onion bhajis were stale and the pilau rice was lukewarm and bland. The dry chicken tikka looked lovely however when it was cut into it was clearly not cooked properly as it was still very pink on the inside. As raw chicken is a health and safety issue we called Tiffins to raise a complaint, notify them of the other issues and asked for the food to be picked up. They took our details but we received no apology and were told as the manager was out he would call us on Monday when he is back.

Ordered a meal from the resturant direct. Initially it took 2 different people to speak to and a 5 min wait to have my order processed and paid for. Food arrived about an hour later. The order was missing an item so i called the resturant.. Again on the phone spoke to 2 people and there was lots of confusion in the background at the resturant. Went over with them what was missing and found the guy on the phone rude and not helpful. After about 5 mins I was told they would bring the missing food out to me even though he knew I was lieing as the item left the restaurant with the order. When challenged about his rude tone and abrupt manners I was told to not order from them again. Its really a shame. We've ordered for over 2 years from the resturant for over two years without an issue. It seems a real shame this has happened. Its not how to treat your customers..... Genuinly baffled by your response all round. I was not rude at all. Sorry you feel its ok to conduct and run a business like you do. Abuse isn't acceptable towards others... Especially customers.

Great food Delicious food although deliver rather late - food worth waiting for. Definitely order again but be more flexible on when we expect it.

Ordered food last night Part of the order: There was an item that was clearly made from frozen i.e. the pastry had exploded and was inedible. Tried to call for simple replacement even would of driven to restaurant, unfortunately they closed up. Called again today and was told manager would call back in evening. Call didn't come, was told manager left and no one could do anything -_-

I don't understand the bad reviews at all. Just received my order and ordered 20 minutes before they closed so was very happy they accepted. I asked if they could swap a curry from the deal for 2 which they have happily done. My meal came very hot all there and tastes amazing. I'm glad people don't like it means I can have it all🤣 Made a pregnant woman very happy! Thank you for my delicious meal and I will continue to order with you as I always do! Thank you Tiffin's! Ordered a take away....food was 45 minutes late, stone cold, some dishes were wrong and the lady who delivered in the end had a car full of people. Was too late to complain as it was delivered after they had closed. NEVER again and we wasted £60 with NO compensation 😡

Extremely disappointed. Food never arrived. We rang up multiple times throughout the evening asking when we would receive our food and every time we got the same response 'the driver has left 5 minutes ago and will be with you in 15 minutes' which was clearly a lie as we were waiting for over 2 hours. Also very rude person on the other end of the phone and kept hanging up on us.

Awful experience, ordering for delivery was painful and had to go through our details twice. On delivery food was cold and tasteless. Garlic nanm was pointless and popadoms were crushed, will not use Tiffins again. I have had to press one star, I wouldn’t even give them that.

Order it from Just eat, food never arrived. Tried to call the restaurant but the person I spoke with was just rude and did not help in any way. Did not gave me is name and hanged up the phone twice. Was 70£ order that I did not had. I truly hope they change their staff or close for real. Never been so badly served in this country.

Worst chicken biriyani I ever ate.No flavor,no chicken.

What can i say. There are much better indian restaurants than this. The tikka masala was sickly sweet, the chicken was dry, and most of the food was lacking in the seasoning department- i think we finished the salt in the shakers on our tables. At the end of the day everything was disappointing. Not to mention our waiter was staring at us for the whole time walking up and down back and forth aimlessly. Our hungry bellies weren’t full apart from those who had the chicken biriani- which was only decent when sprinkled with a generous amount of salt. Definitely not going here again.

The food was horrible there was no flavour and the meat was red and roar also the waiters were making my freinds and I feel extremely uncomfortable due to being stared at continuously. And the masala tasted like a sweet pudding it was horrible I wouldn’t recommend wasting your money for food from here.

Had take away this week for 4 people. Arrived on time and hot. The food was fresh,tastey and can't recommend this cuisine enough. Will definitely order again.

During lockdown I must have ordered from Tiffins 10 times. Perhaps the best curries I have had anywhere. Ever. Fresh, full of flavour and always delivered hot (though I've always ordered through deliveroo). Would recommend to anyone.

Ordered for 2nd time. Never turned up. Called, they were rude. They called back & had our order but hadn't made it. Had already waited over 2 hours and was 10pm. They offered a free beer for a gluten free order. No thanks. Save your time. Order from somewhere decent that values their customers.

Not particularly happy with this curry place... I once placed an order online, which was meant to include a discount. But when paying via checkout there was an error which excluded my discount, despite the basket showing it prior. So ultimately, I ended up paying the full price for this order, due to a wierd glitch. Anyway, I called and explained this to their manager. He apologised as this wasn't normal and furthermore discussed how they don't do refunds. So instead he 'made a note' on my record so that my next order would include his complimentary discount, due to the inconvenience caused. So...Time has come when I really fancied a takeout and called to place my order, spoke to a gentlemen and explained what happened beforehand so I could take advantage of my discount. Turns out there was no notes on my record left from the manager. So of course, I couldn't get the discount owed to me. To make matters better, the manager wasn't present and the person on the phone seemed very keen to end the call as oppose to helping me. Is that normal Tiffins? The food here is nice, but I have to admit...based on my experiences at other curry places, Tiffins are a bit 'stingy' with the quantity of food, especially for the price you pay. Just a shame when you recieve a small container tub 1/2 to 2/3 full, which you paid £13 for...you kinda want to see it full, just feel a bit robbed. Don't forget Tiffins, a lot of people like myself can rustle up great food at home for a lot cheaper. So the experience needs to be fantastic for your customers, especially when I just fancy a night off cooking, I would love to enjoy my local curry place. Just a big shame! Service could be better, sorry to leave such a negative review. But I feel disappointed and wanted to you understand why.

first of all, myself and my friend ordered a korma which I have to say was completely flavourless, not enough sauce... couldn’t finish our rice due to the lack of Korma sauce. Don’t even get me started on the chicken, dry as a bone! It should not be an effort to chew through Korma chicken, my jaw was aching! The naans were dry, the garlic we could merely smell let alone taste, and the peshwari was dryer than the soot in my fireplace. The poppadoms were ok but sauces not so much, mint sauce should not be spicy! Enjoy our money, I am not at all surprised you left the food at our door and ran! I hope you use our money to immerse yourself in lessons of grace and decorum, for you have the grace of a reversing dump trunk with no wheels.

New managemet improved the restaurant, great staff all very freindly and food is delicious! 😊

Not the best but better than shahin

We have been ordering Tiffins as a take away for months and yesterday we went to the sit in restaurant for the first time. Service was superb and the food was amazing as always! This might be our new fav Indian restaurant in Guildford!

I heard from a friend that Tiffins has become a sit in restaurant as well as a take away so we tried it last night and were impressed by the selection on the menu. Fresh popadoms and lovely naan bread with our meal & slightly cheaper than other curry houses in town so we will be back..recommended.

Ordered through Uber Eats 25 minutes before they close. The order was accepted but the status after 45 minutes after they closed was 'preparing order'. After a phone call to the Uber Eats customer service I was told that Tiffins did not finish my order or cancel it before they closed for the day. The initial estimated delivery time was 40 minutes before the phone call to the customer service, so I was left starving for 40 minutes and I ended up having pot noodles for dinner as all the other restaurants closed by that time. This was my first time ordering it, so will probably ordering again to taste their food but they deserve this 1 start review.

Tiffin was the best takeaway in Guildford and I used to order almost every week but after today’s experience I have to say that the quality has dropped. They have increased the price , reduce the portion significantly and give main dish portion on side dish box.

I struggle to understand the string of bad reviews. The only Indian takeaway in Guildford which can deliver the level of flavour and spice that would suit the Indian palate. Other takeaways I've ordered from spice it up with a blast of cayenne pepper powder which would absolutely nullify all flavour or add a punishing amount of green chillies even in which case the flavour is lost. These guys know to strike the balance well and the dishes I've ordered have always been very well prepared. I always prefer collection as they offer a discount. I have never had an issue.

Tiffin?.... More like the Hunger Games. I had problems first time I ordered. Second time I called after 75 mins no show. They said it was just about to arrive called 20 mins later to cancel. 2 hours later it arrived. Three calls...lies every time. Total waste of time especially as the food is pretty average. They are totally unprofessional and unreliable. I won't be using them again.

This takeway has great service always poliet and on time. The food there is always great and hot on delivery considering i live 20 minutes aways!! Would highly recommend this takeway!!

We've ordered take out from this takeaway a number of times and it's consistently good. The curries are fresh and authentic. Particular favourites are the lamp biriany and special rice. Would highly recommend.

Delivery took just under 2 hours! Called three times for an update - we were told it was outside right now or will be here within 10 minutes (we were told this twice). We asked for a discount on the phone and were told "you can get a free poppadom NEXT TIME" Needless to say there will not be a next time. Food was nice but unacceptable wait time.

The employees at Tiffin are thieves and crooks. They have terrible customer service and a deplorable website. Their food is just generic curry, one dish does not taste any different from another. BE WARNED, if you place an order on their website minutes after they are closed (and surprisingly, their website will not warn you that they are closed or stop you from placing the order) they will gladly take your money and refuse to deliver on the goods purchased, without even contacting you to discuss the issue. This happened to be on my last order, and even after I contacted them the next day, the "Manager" in charge named Sugan insisted there is nothing that he could do and that I needed to contact Paypal myself to organise the refund. However it is written very clearly on the Paypal website that any buyer should contact the seller, and it is only the Seller who has the power to send a refund. After a lengthy discussion with this so-called manager, he would not listen to what i was saying and just kept insisting it was my fault for placing an order after they were closed.... But tell me, what other takeaway website allows it's customers to place orders after it has closed?? How can they seriously accept money and refuse to refund it after never sending a delivery?? They are crooks and don't deserve your business, you will be better off supporting an honest business rather than ordering from here.

After almost breaking my teeth on what appeared to be a small black stone in the curry, we rang the restaurant. We were called liars and told that they could not do anything about it anyway. Appalling treatment!!!

Appalling!!, these people should not be allowed a restaurant. i found a hard stone in the curry, phoned up and was called a lair.. a lot of times. i was passed around on the phone about 3 times and could hear them talking on the other end still calling me a lair. i ordered this from hungry house. they had no interest in solving it and kept telling me to go to hungry house, if it wasn't for hungry house £20 would have been wasted on rubbish. they have no customer service it was appalling and will not be returning.

They don't deserve any stars . Such a disgusting customer service , I have never seen before. On the 7th of feb 2015 at around 7.30 from Gu3 guildford i made a call for home delivery for a food order , I ordered nan, pilao rice , tandoori chicken n tandoor lamb ,£20.95. the guy on the other end told me it will be one hour for the delivery of food anyways in the website they have mentioned 45 min. which i agreed. anyways it was more than 2 hrs there was no food delivery . At 9.30 the same guy called and said the delivery man is lost some where. he can't deliver food to us, I had a hungry child at home and few vistors all waiting for food. the same guy said we will do your food order again but lamb is out of stock. customer service was appauling , he was not sure what he was saying . by that time i just cancelled my order,In that 2 hrs the lost delivery man could have called us for directions,or tiffins should have called us to collect the food, there was no apology made to us. i hardly write any reviews , but this people shouldnot have a resturant if they can't deliver there promise to customers.My child and our visitors were completely disappointed, Complete farce .. So i will warn you guys to think before you order.

Ordered from them tonight, the food arrived at the prescribed time, hot and from a very courteous driver. After I had gotten the food upstairs, I opened it all up, hungry, to find that my main (the nagaria lamb) was little above room temperature, contained about 6 pieces of lamb (no more than 1.5cm big), and didn't even half fill the container! I immediately called, and was offered something off of my next order, or a replacement. "Wonderful" I thought...but that was to be the end of it. I took up the offer of the replacement, and was informed that it would be 15mins to 20mins, I can deal with that, I have no issues reheating the rice in the microwave. After 50mins had passed and no phone-call or doorbell...I rang them again. Upon explanation of my problem, I was told that unfortunately, the member of staff that I had previously spoken to, lacked the authority to offer such a solution, and that it can only be decided by the manager, who coincidentally was off today. So I would have to wait until tomorrow for a resolution. Can you imagine trying to send back a steak in a restaurant and being told to wait 24hrs?! Absolute farce! To pour petrol on the flames, I was also told that they had "talked to the 3 chefs" that were working or involved in the creation of the dish, and they "definitely put 12 pieces in the dish", they then proceeded to insult my intelligence by asking "are you sure you counted right?", then stating that they called me a liar by repeating the line about the question posed to their chefs!! Suffice to say, after being a loyal customer for 2 years, I will not be eating from them again.

Very nice food. Do try the chicken tikka nasals and chicken roshni Chilli. Cool stuff.
