We recently stayed for two nights while attending my daughter’s gymnastics competition and chose to return to the Beefeater because of the outstanding hospitality we received from Martin Swallow especially being such a big group.. From the moment we arrived, Martin went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. His warm, friendly and professional service made us feel truly welcome. It is rare to find someone so dedicated to making guests feel valued and he is an absolute credit to the restaurant. We are already looking forward to our next visit knowing we will be well looked after. Thank you, Martin, for making our experience so enjoyable!

I had to leave a 1 star as there wasn’t anything less. What a totally disorganised shambles breakfast was Table booked in advance for 9.15 for 6 people Arrived and waited 10 minutes to be seated surrounded by chaos eventually we went to the bar where a very harassed man took our money and said sit wherever you can find a table, which trust me wasn’t easy to find a clean one No fruit, no pastries, no pancakes, no granola, no spoons A coffee machine that needed constant attendance and a self service hot buffet which ran dry and then bits come out in dribs and drabs I would avoid at all cost it needs a Manager that can manage Travel 5 miles to Woking West had an amazing breakfast

Always well looked after when we come here Martin remembers our order every time and the staff make the experience.

Awful tired dated, busy on a Sunday as expected but decor was so tierd. Sticky torn carpets, table sticky . Menu good but expensive £16 for a steak pie and handful of chips, rock solid had to chisel it apart . Will never go again . We did complain and as the lid of the pie underneath was black then manager did remove from the bill . Manager addressed us unprofessional .

Service is shocking slow.I had the Gammon, cooked ok but very small. Raspberry and apple crumble served barely warm.

Visited here for breakfast and despite super busy with cheer competition people our server Ted was fantastic! Honestly he makes the place, he remained calm and super helpful when everything was manic around him. Hes an absolute asset to the company and even though we have visited before he made this time better with calm and collected and super helpful attitude.

Nice friendly relaxed atmosphere and lovely food. All the staff worked hard to provide a great service. A special “Thank You” to Ted who went above and beyond helping to make our dining experience and breakfast very enjoyable X:)

Had a late lunch with a client. Excellent food, hot, quickly served. Our server was Ted. His banter and attentive service made my client and I welcome and at ease. Will return!

Service was completely shockingly bad. It was busy but good took over an hour. We ordered bottomless soft drinks. No-one came over and asked to refill our drinks. We did get a half hearted apology that our food took a while and then when the food came it was missing onion rings that we had ordered so we had to ask for those. I don't think we will be going back in a hurry. Would advise anyone to avoid

Filthy everywhere - toilets were disgusting - no hand soap which I reported but by the time we left nothing had been done !! Revolting garlic bread - overcooked fish !! I will not be visiting any Beefeaters again & wish I had read the reviews first 😞

Well, what can I say about the experience that me and my son had this afternoon being a New Year afternoon? We thought would go out for a nice meal when we got there we were asked what drinks we would like then we weren’t really asked what type of drinks that we wanted, we were put in the corner on the corner very smelt and it was dark and gloomy. We were sat nearly an hour without anybody coming up to us and asking us what food we would like to order so we caught one of the staff she said that she would come over bear in mind we didn’t know that she was new so we asked for our order Then something was out of the menu and this information was not relayed back to us. In the meantime we stopped another waiter and we said why have we not been served or asked what food we would like? I said to them that the other two families that came in after us got their meal before us why is it , so he said I will call the manager. The manager came over and plane face really no no expression on his face he said to me how did I know something was out of order? If we had no one coming to ask for our order? We then said because we stopped somebody and they said , something was out of order and I turned round and said why wasn’t we escalated that back to us and then we could’ve ordered something else this was nearly 1 hour so the Manager then said you can either sit here have the drinks or you can leave I then asked him if he had a problem with us he said no . this was very disgusting. No manager should be saying that to anyone at least in a place where we were saving food we were absolutely dismayed. My son turned round and said just give us the bill and then we’ll go so there was no nothing no remorse no sorry no nothing absolutely nothing the manager ought to be sacked. He did not do his job properly and he did not in any way shape or form had customer services professionalism. He ought to be sacked . Well, I have now sent letter to the Omanbusman and the proprietor and the chairman of this chain. I thought that there was a sense of discriminative service against us. We are not happy but in the end found a nice place to eat with good atmosphere and good customer services all round I will endeavour to report this and report that this service has gone under and the manager needs to be replaced. I have never been treated like this in another food chain or in other services, we are very upset and my turned around the manager and said just give us a bill we will leave. We are not eating maybe not wanted..

The place is unbelievably dirty, the floor everywhere is covered with layer of food and liquid, everything is sticky. The waiter was rude. The table was sticky so we had to wipe it with wet wipes. We asked her to replace cutlery on our table as it was all sticky and dirty. She did not apologize, replaced the cutlery and then took the dirty cutlery and layed the table NEXT TO us with it... This is rude and disgusting. Note, all of this was happening in an empty pub with olny very few tables of customers. I could understand forgetting to wipe one table when the restaurant is full, but the restaurant was empty and ALL the tables we tried were sticky. At this point the food taste doesn't really matter. Considering how unclean the place and cutlery was I do not trust the food hygiene. Save your time and DO NOT come here PS: The olny nice person among staff was a barmen, who was doing is job well, all the glasses were clean and at the end he came to us as a waiter. The only person doing his job, even cleaned the tables around us after sitting with lots of rubbish around for an hour or more.

I felt awful for the only two front of house employees who were doing their absolute best during a holiday lunch time service, as well as having to deal with a limited menu. The owners of this restaurant should be absolutely ashamed to expect two members of staff to carry a whole lunch service by themselves.

Smaller meals than we get in Harbour Lights or the Rusty Cutter. But still a lovely meal on the way back from London. A special dessert 🎂 made for my wife 😋. Well done to Martin excellent service 😁. He made everyone happy 😊 I had 🍔🍟 and wifey had 🥩 and chips..

Service was shocking, the girl behind the bar I felt sorry for her she needs more training or someone with her waited 15 mins for 2 drinks , my fillet steak well should have been an 8oz more like a 2 never again

Popped in yesterday early evening for a quick coffee and snack. Was served by Martin. Very helpful and very cheerful gave us recommendations ... and sang! Butlins may come calling. Food was good although took quite a while to come out. We ordered 3 starters at £14.99.

We were a couple with a 12 year old, 9 year old and 60 something year old. Food was enjoyed by all. Service was good and drinks always topped up. We visited on a Thursday night so was relatively quiet. Not too noisy, decent crowd.

It took over an hour for all food to arrive, one meal came 30 mins before the rest and one meal was wrong. When asked for an update on how long to wait no-one returned to give the update. No cutlery or condiments offered until asked. Food was average at best.

Team leader Heather was the highlight of our night! She gave us impeccable service with a huge smile always. Food was good and enjoyable (although the portion of chips served with the steak was quite small). Was recommended to come here by Tilly Stonehill, a past employee, and I was really happy with the service and food - I will be back !!

It's not the most welcoming when entering the restaurant. A discarded used nappy just outside the entrance and exit, a huge amount of discarded cigarette butts on the floor near the entrance. Table, despite requesting and having a second clean, the surface was sticky. The food and the service were acceptable. Toilets were dirty. Overall, the ambience of the restaurant lacks any care and attention.

Unfortunately we had a bad experience last night .the food was awful , the waiter got our order wrong .the child's meal was dry and inedible. My chicken burger was like leather in parts and the chips were awful either dirty oil or used for other foods . Must have a new cook as usually a great experience.

I do not recommend, poor service, chocolate served in a glass as if someone had vomited on it, Sue, cola and other drinks, no salt, the table was dirty, the waiting time was very long

DON'T GO. It took over an hour for us to get our mains served, despite us not having any starters... We had seven children with us, two of whom have additional needs, and they were starving after swimming at the nearby Guildford Spectrum. Duty manager was completely unapologetic, verging on rude, when my father complained that many other tables had received their food before us. When the food did finally come, the "well done" roast beef was so tough it was inedible, as was one of the children's burgers. Save yourself a fortune and go elsewhere.

Food was much better than we had at beefeater before. Heather our waitress was good as we're all the staff. Place was clean and nice. There was one family with 2 screaming kid that got eventually taken out by the parents. Nothing that can be dealt with by staff as more of a parent issue. But being sat next to them wasn't great as it was full on screaming. Will definitely return again, restored my confidence in the brand ...after being to the Colchester branch which was shabby...this place is worth a visit. Good food, good venue and friendly staff.

Having been placed in the premier inn for work, I had the pleasure of the parkway beefeater for food. The service was excellent throughout, especially from heather who was friendly, welcoming, always with a smile and very enthusiastic, was generally amazing. Menu options are somewhat limited, but steaks and general pub meals are nice and good quality. The biscoff Sunday is a MUST!

A horrible experience. The corner we were put in smelt of B.O. The waiter was practically climbing over dirty dishes scattered around the tables and all over the till area just to get to the till (the restaurant was quiet). The soap in the toilets was in a repurposed mayo/ketchup bottle. The whole thing had the air of somewhere that people didn’t care about the customer experience and that was dying. We left without even looking at the menu.

Service was slow. Food was ok, However the taps in the men's toilets only allow a half second of water, The hand drier blows cold hands and after a minute walked out with wet hands as I gave up, The waiter was an interesting guy to watch slowly clear a table one item at a time, He brought our food out and left the cauliflower cheese behind he went back to get it and brought out another tables meals, We did get it after asking again for it,

Food was good. We came for Sunday roast. It was decent and a lot of food. However we opted for refill drinks. After asking three time for a refill we had all 4 of us finished our meal before the waiter came over to us, not sure why, as my coke was nowhere to be seen. We asked for the bill and were told they are getting my drink. Told them not to bother and just get the bill. Crap service. When the bill came they tried to charge for the refill drinks. Won't be coming back here.

We eat here two or three times a year as it’s a halfway meeting point to see family. Never had a bad meal, food is always good and well priced. Louise and the team create a warm, welcoming environment. Special shout out to Martin whose service today was exceptional!

Carpet sticky n table but food good and value for money

The place was so quite, however service was bad. We were waiting for around 10 minutes to be seated. Server didn't provide a children's menu. When the food arrived, she forgot our starters. Dessert was horrible with burnt plastic in it.

Absolutely filthy. The chairs in the bar area are extremely heavily stained you literally don’t want to sit on them. We struggled to find clean chairs anywhere. The tables were sticky and everywhere just had a grubby feel about it. My husband and I decided not the have breakfast here because of it. Dread to think what the areas are like you can’t see. If you don’t catch something from the food you certainly will from the lack of cleanliness.

The waitress is nice and patience also the steak are perfectly cooked to medium rare. The ribs are soft and tender

We’re clearly short staffed but the guy serving us did an amazing job considering. Food was pretty normal beefeater and so was the atmosphere and decor.

Food wasn’t the best, service was slow, unable to purchase certain cocktails which were on the menu. Food - kids portion size was very small, must have received 7/8 single chips on one plate. Stake was overcooked and too chewy. The only positive from the restaurant in would say, the breakfast was good and the lasagne wasn’t half bad.

Avoid! Dirty floors, sticky disgusting tables! Food on the chairs!! We would have left at this point but not being from the area and were hungry after a long journey. We felt like no other option at this point. We were ignored by staff and left waiting 30 minutes before service. There was no excuse for this as it was not busy and had plenty of staff! "Clean your floors and tables, it's disgusting!! Average but not cheap food. Spent almost £60 for three of us! Not worth it! Spend your money elsewhere

Louise was particularly helpful when we experienced a problem and she is a credit to your company.

Went on a Friday night which was busy but Martin our waiter was brilliant made sure everything come out within a quick time frame and my son left his sun glasses on the table Martin ran out after us to give them back to my son 10 out 10 customer service

Good and cheap food, however the atmosphere is not the best and the restaurant is not very clean. There is only one on duty waitress and the wait time is quite long.

Service messed up both me and my child’s order. Even completely forgot about the dessert we ordered. Food did not meet our expectations. Dessert was great however. The only reason why I gave them 2 stars was because the waitress fixed the problem efficiently. Overall not pleased. Will not come again.

Lovely experience with warm hosting, really nice salad but fries were slightly cold

Stopped for some lunch here for the 1st time. I must say staff very friendly. The food I was very disappointed with. Very bland and basic for the price. Wouldn't eat here again. Walls are cobwebs and dusty Also the toilets were not very clean and had flies hovering over the toilet made my stomach turn knowing I ate there.

Oh the poor wee things, it was too hot to serve us at 8.10 in the evening. We were staying at the adjoining Premier Inn, my wife is in a wheelchair, so it's not like we can just pick ourselves up and go somewhere else. Ridiculously amateur.

Been to the Beefeater in Guildford for a wedding reception. Food was brilliant but the service we received from Martin was superb. Would thoroughly recommend the Beefeater to everyone. A very good finish for a very important day

Turned up expecting a nice lunch, but seemed to be shut with no signage to say why. Really disappointed. Doors were locked and lights turned off, not what I expected because I had checked beforehand to see if it was open online.

I’ve changed my review from 1 star to 4 stars. Even though they appear understaffed, the staff are super friendly now and welcoming! Lovely place to go for a no fuss buffet breakfast with the family. Will return again. Old 1 Star review was from 2 years ago. Big improvement since!

Waited 30 mins at the wait to be seated next until eventually someone turned up. By now there was a long queue behind us tgat decided to then leave. When I said all the rest of the queue have now left, she said, I don't blame them 😲 With that we decided to leave, the place was manic, children running around, one little boy had two knifes in his hands.....bad parenting 😡 We will not be returning.

This is a great place to eat lunch in the area. There are almost no restaurants around, so if you want to use the nearby leisure facilities, this is the place to go because you can eat delicious steak at a reasonable price.

Good place for a family meal with the grandkids. Food nice, didn't take too long to have food on table for hungry kiddies.
