Ordered Pad Thai , the sauce was so overpowering sweet , portion was smaller for £10. Better option around in food court!

Disgusting!! Sot sauce drenched soggy rice barely any veg, rude rude staff. Hated it and was out of pocket for £25! This is NOT thai food. Go to Rosa’s or giggling squid for an actual honest experience. They give you cheap wooden fork and flimsy plates. £1 for sweet chilli sauce which is from mcdonalds which is 30p! Appaling.

After waiting two hours for my delivery, it got cancelled as rested closed and they haven’t updated it on Deliveroo. Very un professional!

Food was drowned in vinegar Staff was rude about it. Other customers felt the same and were dismissed by very abrupt lady.

I found the food to be delicious, and definitely more than just typical fast food.

Do try avoid the place if you’re in the food court. The chicken they serve is very rubbery and smells very bad. I ordered the dish general chicken which is a battered chicken and tasted horrible.

Amazing outlet for quick bite, I love their food specially the Pad Thai noodles. The staff is really friendly and nice. Can't wait to go back and enjoy their food with friends .

Honestly the basil/oyster stir fry is so good, I get it on Friday lunches on routine. But the price is just extortionate, way too over priced. If you think of getting a side you will be paying around £16 for a main and side.

Food delicious, clean and quick serve just in 3/4 minutes. I’ve been eating since 2014 till today. No complaints . Price wise always reasonable. There’s many items which are my favourite.

This is far by my favourite Asian place to eat on the weekends, the friendly workers, delicious food choices and cleanliness is outstanding. I have and will be returning every chance I get. Well done to Thai express for making me and my stomach happy !!

I tried their pad Thai before and it is really too salty to me. Need to drink a lot of water after having it. So this time I try their Tom Yum Soup with noodles & prawns 🍜 I requested a little bit spicy not too spicy cause I am afraid it will be too salty again. But this time the Tom Yum Soup is quite nice. Not very bad and they got different size for you to choose. I like that cause sometimes I may don’t need that much for lunch time so I can choose a mini one for myself. But if you are hungry and want more you can choose a medium one or even bigger one.

Ordered noodles with battered chicken today. (G Pad sew with battered chicken.) All was ok until the guy picked up the chicken in his bare hands No gloves and put it in the wok. When i questioned it he just shrugged. I asked for a refund and was refused. I love Thai food but will never eat here again

Portion size was good and the food tasted good, enough to go back. The quality of the meat in the dish wasn't the highest standard, but acceptable.

Unreliable. Whats the odds that the restaurant didn’t have Chicken Wing with literally black soy sauce? It was fine when i ordered few days back but then its no longer stocked? I waited an hour to get refunded but could not go through and get messages said the food was delivered to my address an hour later. Just to know that there was NONE delivery actually being made. Ridiculous attempt.

A student would do a better job cooking Tom Yum soup. The vegetable was raw (including the onion), the soup bland. Cup noodles from a supermarket taste better.

So bad experience. I ordered a noodles soup and there are many bugs in the soup. I ask them to give me refund but they refused. They want me to try the trash food again. Won't go there anymore.

The food was adequate, nothing special. Massive portions which is good if youre hungry. The fried rice is overseasoned and not authentic, but i enjoyed most of it. The batter and the battered chicken is a bit too thick and stodgy. For £7.50 can't complain too much

Laying in bed with the worst case of food poisoning. I had the tofu red curry and after a bite it tasted off. The tofu 100% was gone off and the rise of dry and tasted stale. Really not the one

First time seeing peanut sauce pad thai, and this restaurant called thai express, theres no ingredients can related traditional pad thai at all. Stay away from this restaurant, and do not try their pad thai, it is disgusting.

I tried this place twice in a week as I had an uber eats deal and so wanted to get a range of items before making a decision. I will say this is distinctly Thai food in that the menu does mainly lend itself to Thai items as opposed to generic Asian/Chinese items. I tried the most popular dishes according to the app and will say the food was decent at first try, with the wings being coated in a rather nice sauce. However, I was a bit disappointed that I had picked the spiciest option and it barely had a hint of such. The second time I brought this up in the order notes as I ordered the noodles and wings only to find that not only was the food not at all spicy, it was really quite bland and the wings were sauceless and dry. I had thought at first what I was missing was a kick in the meal but the repeat order showed me that a lot was lacking in taste and flavour and so whilst I give this 4* for the price I paid it should be noted there was a heavy discount in that calculation for me.

Today (13 March 2022) I tried Thai Express (Guildford) restaurant. I wouldn't say it’s that authentic Thai. I ordered a stir fry ginger chicken with rice, tasteless Chicken with the same size pieces and too much soya sauce on the rice so couldn't eat it. Food is worth the money, The Money gone down the bin.

We ordered a Tom Yum noodle soup and chicken fried rice. The rice was OK.. But Tom Yum soup was no where near being Tom Yum, absolutely plain soup and I even went to the counter to ask whether they got the order correct. They said it was Tom Yum, which clearly didn't taste as one.

Having a Thai wife I know what Thai food is meant to taste like, the food presented here is far from Asia food, the Thai noodle soup was as bland as dish water, no flavor at all, the stir fry look as if they picked it off the floor, abit more flavors but not no way near Thai. As for the cashier a smile to your customers would not go a miss….never again

Just ordered before seeing the reviews, l asked for extra beef, but there were literally 5-7 slices so if l did not order extra beef then there wouldnt be beef inside ?

Today I tried that restaurant, I tried green curry chicken with rice, veggie spring rolls and general thai and I did not like any dish, just the rolls was okay, bland food and few ingredients, too much rice, unfortunately we will not repeat.

Awful place. We ordered a veggie meal which was delivered with meat in it. I am a vegetarian so couldn't eat it. We also ordered veggie spring rolls which had a hair on it. I'm surprised it is allowed to serve food. I am lucky it was not an allergy.

Average thai food. Agree with other comments re there being way too much soya sauce on the rice. Also had the sweet and sour beef - it was ok but the the meat tasted pretty mediocre. Ironically I couldn’t really taste much of the sweet and sour sauce, perhaps because the rice had so much soya sauce on it! Fine for a quick meal, but there is definitely better thai food around in guildford.

Place would be great if everything wasn't drowning in soy sauce to the point that you could drink it at the end. When I try to ask for half sauce only one guy seems to get it right. This woman got it wrong today and when I tried to say it was too much, she corrected me on what I wanted. It sticks to the plate and goes furry when they put too much.

Every time I come to Guildford I go here! The food is always perfect and although I would t say it’s that authentic it still is so tasty! For hot food on the go or for a quick lunch this is the place to go. I recommend going for the chicken fried rice hot. Good selection on the menu to choose from and there is something for everyone who likes Asian eating.

Worst food ever. Ordered no5 which is fried rice with prawns. It had so much soya sauce which made the rice over sweet. Looked disgusting tasted even worse. Hardly any vegetables in the rice. Posted the picture with review. That does not look like fried rice. Money gone down the bin. I would give it 0 star or even minus star if possible.

Service was super speedy! This was a great place for lunch and enjoying some spicy food. Excellent menu choices. All the staff were very knowledgeable about the menu -- and gave good recommendations. All in all, a great experience!

Now this is what I call FOOD. Very big very tasty plate for a good price- hard to find good portions for a decent price when eating out, but I had a good meal here. Only been here once tho so I may have been lucky, some people say its hit or miss.

Can be hit or miss. Had fantastic orders initially which gradually declined in quality. I had a wrong order recently and today I ordered a stirfry salad, the box was crammed more than 3/4s full with iceberg lettuce, topped with very little stirfry and 4 pieces of beef whereas before Ive had proper stirfry and beef throughout the box. For nearly a tenner I dont expect a box of lettuce and I dont believe that would be served to me if I was sitting in their restaurant.

Nice food but if you're a vegetarian be careful, It's alittle misleading. So just them fully aware you want the vegetarian option with no meat. Because some of the options like the tofu will have meat with it and they may not say. So just be aware. Other than that, it's great. Quality fresh food, with a fair price.

Normal service has been resumed. I've been eating here for about five years and over time their standards slipped. Indeed, it has been about a year since my last visit because the food had gone downhill. Today I had Thai chicken fried rice and it was amazing. Very happy.

Its horrible food i ever had.We ordered Fried rice and Thai pad noodle with prawn in thai style..The food came and it was taste less ..really bad couldnot eat more than 1 spoon.They use the crap vege as Tomatoes it almost makes me puke.. As we went their last time it was good .But,We are really disappointed with their food this time.Never go back to this place and Highly Not Recomended..

Should have been nicer than it was. Red curry prawn dish contained 5 prawns, 4 with tails still on. Way too much sauce, which while spicy, didn't taste of a lot. Just a bit meh really.

Love the Thai Green Chicken curry. Certainly my favourite. Nice to see the food freshly cooked right in front of you. Lots of choices like stir fries, to curries to noodle soup. Yum!
