IT WAS 10:40PM. I SAT DOWN. I ORDER RAMEN, PEAS AND STELLA ON THE APP. A YOUNG LOOKING GENTLEMAN WITH A PATCHY BEARD DELIVERED MY FOOD. OH MY, THAT CAKE WAS WONDERFUL. I WILL BE RETURNING FOR ANOTHER MOUTHFUL😛😛😛.

Haven’t looked at any other review but shocked to see how low the average is! Went here for first time today for a pre theatre meal with my 10 year old daughter and I literally could not argue with the value for money. We had 2 courses and a drink each for £20, perfectly decent pub food, the atmosphere was good, the loos clean, for the price it is having 5 stars or circles. Now off to look at what others are complaining about.

Just ordered a medium rare gourmet steak. Very last time. I also stained my pants with chewing gum glued to the bottom of the table. Had a great time, thank you.

the absolute WORST Wetherspoons I’ve ever been too!! We were having a laugh and a joke at our table as it was a friends birthday, the manager came over and said “keep it down” I replied with no, we’re not even being noisy or loud? Then she marched back to our table and DEMANDED to know what I said. Very rude and shouldn’t be in management at all! 0/10 needs a new manager.

The food was unfortunately quite average. The service was OK (one waitress was handy in helping sort a parking issue out) but we were never asked how our food was or if we needed anything else. We had to go outside due to a live music event on (this I expected as I was forewarned, and it was heated and under cover which was nice, however, people were smoking cigarettes which, because it was under cover, meant the place smelled quite badly of cigarette smoke which I find very unpleasant.

I've started the Wetherspoons tour, travelling to all different venues. Since I started 2 months ago I think this place is my favourite. Located in an old Motor Factory this place is full of character and history. I got a nice pint of Mad Squirrel Trident for £2.80. Can't go wrong. I give this places a 10/10 compared to others I've been to.

If you are young and in guildford... not a bad place to get a drink on a friday nigh

Staff in this Wetherspoons confiscated my 18 year old daughters provisional driving license and refused to return it to her as they thought it was fake. Fortunately she found a police officer who went in and verified her identity and retrieved it on her behalf. She was utterly humiliated and almost left without her driving license 2 days before her driving theory test.

As this chain its a bit better than average. Ramen noodles with 🍝 don't bother

Food was terrible chips were stale chicken was raw inside i wouldnt go back for food. Atmosphere was good its a nice place just unfortunate about food

This is the stickiest Wetherspoons I have ever been to. Literally every surface is sticky. What are they cleaning this place with, glue? Apart from that, it’s alright.

Horrific, staff are extremely rude and entitled. Would not go back again nor recommend any people to go there too. Absolutely horrific.

On this occasion we had to leave, couldn't hear ourselves speak over the loudspeakers, walked round the place to see if there was a quiet table . . .there wasn't! It was the same throughout

Food was ok, but prices have gone up just like everywhere else. Pub itself was super noisy and very busy. Its not a quiet family pub, more for the younger people on the weekends.

I only went in for a coffee. Great price and free refills. Excellent! Staff were very friendly too.

Not all menu items were available, served something slightly different from what was ordered, but my own fault for going to a Spoons !

Very reasonable curry and a drink for £10 or there abouts. Made for a nice evening.

Ok it’s a Weatherspoons. So cheap and cheerful. Sad people watching… breakfast beer and wine seems to be the norm . Breakfast was ok though not as warm as it could have been . Staff are friendly. Place is clean and tidy . Has a huge selection of beers .. bit too early for me though!!

Big spoons in the middle of guildford. Plenty of seating upstairs and downstairs. Rare steak was cooked perfectly, really enjoyed my food and drink!

It's a fairly typical Wetherspoons. One good side the food is not bad. Good price, large portions, not bad at all. The bar though is understaffed. One person at best, at worst you need to wait for someone to appear. Good range of drinks though with a great selection of craft ales/beers at very good prices.

I've been here a few times in the past. A large Wetherspoons branch near the train station and on the edge of the town centre. A rather wonderful Wetherspoons branch in an old car factory and certainly one of the better ones, in terms of the building - in the surrounding area. Ordered the Veganuary BBQ Stack Burger and a pint of Leffe Blonde. Leffe arrived within a few minutes of ordering. The BBQ stack burger was well presented, although I thought the chip portion was slightly on the mean side, especially as the prices are a little more expensive than many other Wetherspoons branches. This particular meal is £9.53 in Guildford, £8.97 in other locations I've been to. No other complaints with the food taste or quality though. Worth a visit if in Guildford centre!

Always a stable for a cheaper meal out. Food always comes quick & can usually get a table. Could be cleaner and less sticky but that’s spoons.

Well-decorated building, great service, comfortable seating and reasonable prices. Only let down slightly by the quality of the food and the manners of the fellow clientele this evening. Will be back another day I'm sure!

Went yesterday afternoon (22/12/23), had cod, beans and chips and a pint of Corona for £9.01, normally £11.72 (there is a promo between 2-5pm, Mon to Fri), the meal was delicious and considering how busy it was, the service was very efficient and friendly. I was on the top floor, the young lady in a light blue shirt seemed to be in charge and her and her team did an excellent job. The atmosphere in the pub was very pleasant, I think this is the best Wetherspoons I've been in. Well done!

My wife and I went here for a meal after watching a movie at the Odeon nearby. We both ordered the same meal, 8 oz classic steak, chips and Mediterranean salad. It was delicious and the meat cooked to perfection. The only minor complaint I have is that they use those small plastic thin tubes that you squeeze out mustard, for example. . These are cheap and tacky. Same with the salt and pepper paper sachets. Mayonnaise and ketchup comes in the standard squeeze bottles, so why can't at least the mustard? And regular salt and pepper mills/shakers. The food is very resonably priced, so perhaps this means small sachets. I shouldn't spoil the review with this, as everything else is wonderful. I come here before or after I see a movie with a friend of mine.

An interesting building in a good location. The food and service was good. Being a weatherspoons the prices are reasonable. I recommend for a decent cheap meal.

A great menu with lots of choice at great prices. Extensive drinks choice from real ale to cocktails.

Just fabulous in all respects. Helpful staff, good service & the layout, (an old factory building from the early 1900's) is brilliant. There's a lot of space & whilst this pub is big, it never feels too busy.

Whats not to like about a Spoons, Good honest food ,quickly served at a reasonable price. You always know what you are getting whether it's Liverpool, Newcastle or Guildford.

We came here today and Mellisa greeted us and cleared the table from the previous sitting. From beginning to end she gave 1st class service and couldn’t do enough for us. It was very busy but she offered to get us our sauces (which we politely declined as we could see she was run off her feet) she came back in good time to make sure everything was okay and if we needed anything else. She was so polite and friendly and just amazing. She is an absolute credit to your team at Guildford and the company!

I tried the ramen noodles + drink for £10.49 and was pleasantly surprised! It’s the cheapest place by far to get a beer in Guildford, but a decent pub with a good atmosphere. Great value for money for both food and drink.

Me and a friend came here today for breakfast I had a large breakfast what was ok to be honest egg didn't taste great but over all ok. My friend had a small breakfast and bowl of fruit what may I add was moldy we had it sent back and lovely lady went to to her boss and we got a refund on it. We won't be coming for a while.

Looks closed from the outside. Busy at lunch time, staff available but no greeting or acknowledgement. Sat briefly before realising I was in a dead spot and couldn't order from the app, looked for WiFi but saw no information. So I wandered around looking for a table near a window, most were occupied or dirty. I eventually went upstairs and found a table I could order from. Food came quickly and was at expected standard for Weatherspoons. Would have been nice to have the option of removing chips and buns from my burger as I don't eat carbohydrates often. An average experience that could have been elevated by the atmosphere. I noticed lots of painting needs looking at amlong other things. While writing this a fight occurred so I left. Permanently.

Dropped in for a couple of drinks after a Sunday morning shopping trip in Guildford. The place was VERY busy, with many families enjoying brunch or an early lunch. We had just drinks (coffee and soft drink followed by beers before lunch elsewhere). The window seats give you a great view of the hustle and bustle outside. Good Wetherspoons.

As Weatherspoons go - this one is quite nicely done. Its not fancy, but is not pretending to be. No complains on food as Weatherspoons go. Staff seems nice, service is swift, and no fuss - really appreciate no one staring at your plate and asking questions when your mouth is full. Can be busy at times, but that's understandable.

Wow! Super venu on several floors! Visited on Halloween evening and the staff had made an effort to dress up! A couple of them with superb results! The beer was good too! Nice to see the Irish stout on handpump!

Several different seating position's ,unfortunately views are onto very busy road ,food was ok ,person who served us at bar was not very competent , food ordered through app which worked OK and service was quick and efficient.

Of all the Weatherspoons we’ve visited Guildford always comes bottom when it comes to the cooked breakfast, plates are cold, breakfasts are luke warm and tasteless. They should take lessons from the Havant one (always excellent).

Where do i start? The Margarita pizza i had was truly magnificent and is the best pizza i've eaten in a long time. Service was very fast for a pub, and waitress apologised for ten-minute wait (which is unheard of in a pub as i've waited for my meal for much longer elsewhere) and she was so nice and polite. The only thing i think they could improve on is that the plate is easier to cut pizza on as when i tried cutting mine it kept moving the plate. Thank you Wetherspoons for such a calm, relaxing experience.

Excellent Spoons,great food and service.

I drove a long way to visit this one, and it exceeded my expectations. Freedom breakfast with extra black pudding, unlimited hot drinks and a superb American pale ale for a little over a tenner! No problems with the service, quality of the food or the excellent craft beer. An impressively restored historical building with acres of space for indoor dining and drinking (small beer garden, however). Izzy is an enthusiastic ambassador.

Food is good. We had curry and fish and chips and both dishes were tasty. The price is fair and the atmosphere is good.

Didn’t get any photos unfortunately but this was a typical weatherspoons pub, but without the up hill and down dale excursion to the (clean) toilet-impressive! It is on 1st floor though not ground floor. Food and drinks yummy as always. Staff were in full swing for Oktoberfest & the rugby was on so very busy, but they coped brilliantly

Bland but cheap food. LOADS of options. The building has character.

Cheese and ham panini was all panini and hardly any filling and the chicken bites were more batter than chicken. Very disappointing

I arrived early morning, bought a coke and something to eat. The barman was helpful and friendly. Moving upstairs, and wanting a second drink, I made the mistake of interrupting the phone conversation of the lady behind the bar. In my defence, she had an earpiece in and I didn’t notice at first. No wonder, when she eventually noticed me standing at the empty bar, she seemed to find my presence something of an inconvenience and completely forgot her manners!

Atmosphere can be quite loud with shouting uni students but other than that it's not to sad.

Large choice of beers, plenty of space to sit

My daughter went out on Saturday night, she is 38 and doesn’t drink, she said the security men were so rude to everyone, she did complain and one security man was removed from the floor she was on, who do these men think they are? They won’t be going back that’s for sure, I believe they’ve just been fined a lot of money because of one security man, I think you should re-train your staff Wetherspoon.

A busy spoons with sensible prices for food and drink, an outside seating area for drinking and smoking. In the town centre of Guildford so great for shops and trains etc .

Good pub/ restaurant. Deep fryer was broken at the time of visit but it is fixed now. Would reccomend

Delicious food and very kind barstaff who helped me with directions for my job interview. Although the toilet had a tramp asleep in one of the cubicles. Thanks for the great breakfast.

Huge range of drinks at half the price of anywhere else. Efficient staff and table service. Full of youngsters by evening but if you want a good cheap drinking session it's the place to start.

I really like this pub It had a good atmosphere during the day however it would be better to have more signage for no drinks outside in the evening and clearer rules on no hats in some parts of the bar

Fair prices but it's just unclean, sticky, bathroom looked like you were going into a horror movie with a flashing light if you want abit of a cheaper pint then go here otherwise just go somewhere with abit more care.

Lovely building. Usual spoons food. We had breakfast on Sunday morning. Nice and quiet despite some peeps enjoying the footie. Good coffee ☕️ 😋. Fantastic and unique levels of seating. Outside there is a small area to sit.

Good choice of food. App based ordering crashed, not just for us, but others too.

Very cheap beer & cider. Table service via app is also amazing. Usually packed full of people of all ages. However, even though the pub is full, the staff make every effort to keep the pub clean and friendly. Security is also balanced and reasonable. It would be great if USB ports were available for customers. If these could be added, many people would stay longer...

Nice pint of Zealous lager - 2nd pint of same few weeks later tasted watered down. Hmmm
