The food was absolutely horrible. Only just this side of edible to be honest but we were hungry and the place was packed so didn't want to raise a fuss

Love the building. Food is pretty average. Beer and food Price are cheaper than other restaurants. I generally go here if i just wanna talk with my friends and get some cheap beer and don't want anything fancy. The app is really useful too.

We were visiting Guildford, as you do. Outside, it was a rainstorm of biblical proportions. The rain was attacking us from all angles, vertical, horizontal, it had no preferences. The wind was howling, joining the rain in it's downward dance of watery doom. Meanwhile, we were wandering the streets, like two awkward ducklings, soaked through to the skin. Our showerproof coats were absolutely no match for the monsoon that struck that day. Water ran down our faces, filled our shoes and drenched our underwear. We were a tad moist. The Rodboro Building was to be our oasis. Hot coffee, our salvation. It was no coincidence that the pub was rammed to the rafters, the rats had climbed aboard the ship, but was it a sinking vessel? We would soon find out... Tables and chairs were in short supply that Sunday afternoon, but we did ultimately find two backside perches, almost next to the toilets. The steady stream of soaking wet punters heading to the bogs to dry off was out entertainment while, the hot-ish coffee warmed our wet spirits. It was grim day, it was an average pub. The Rodboro is a Wetherspoons pub and everything exactly where we expected to be. Dreadful carpet, as much coffee as we could drink, staff trying their best, some smiley, some solemn and the normal raucous hustle and bustle of a 'Spoons pub catering for the masses on a budget. We left, warmed up and ready for the rest of the day. It was still tipping down, obviously.

I went here with my girlfriend last night. The inside of the shop is beautifully decorated and the counter bar is very large and spectacular. Drinks are available in many flavors to choose from. Reasonable price, arranged at a very cheap price. The atmosphere inside the store is not crowded. The design of the place looks truly tasteful.

You know when you come to most Wetherspoons pubs that you are going to get a decent meal and pint of beer for no great outlay and this place is no different. £1.79 for a pint of Greene King IPA is absolutely amazing. It's £7 in central London non-Wetherspoons pubs. Food is always good. Never had a bad meal here.

Having used spoons in Guildford for a number of years went today Sunday 6/10/24 Spent most of the day there with friends bar staff lovely until. Evening staff took over was greeted by a very rude woman no please or thank you it was do you want a drink not can I help you and also did I forget something as you still at bar in a very abrupt way. I spend a lot of money in spoons I do not expect to be treated this way as I try to be polite to staff and customer s and expect to be treated like wise .

The atmosphere was good compared to the Wetherspoon's I went to on Mars!

A very large spoons, modern in design, large selection of drinks, there are 2 bars in this spoons, 1 upstairs and 1 down, food was good and came to the table quickly

Some rude member of staff told me off for clapping, which other people were doing. Unnecessary.

Ok its just a Wetherspoons, but very clean, nice building and good value for money

Horrendous attitude from staff. I had to correct my order as it was not entered on the till correctly. Argued with me about what was said instead of simply correcting the mistake. Will not return.

Lovely food n drink. Free refills on coffee and tea etc. Great service.

Always great ... gets busy on a Fri and Sat evening but with a fun friendly atmosphere.

Poor pint , badly poured, a non experienced bar tender or not interested or maybe both.

It is a nice place with good food but not somewhere to go if you want quietness.

Alice served us the entire night while all over bar staff ignored us she was absolutely amazing and honestly the way we got along she is now one of my considered friends and favourite bar staff here ever! She made us feel so welcomed and comfortable while the rest made us feel invisible and forgotten! Shes just overall born for the role! And joey has made us feel the exact same on previous nights she’s such an amazing bar worker ! Joey has always answered my questions when I’ve been curious about prices and the menu as I suffer with anxiety a lot and she has always always been the only staff member to put me at ease.

Excellent pub in the centre of Town. Formerly one of the first car factorys in the world . Good food.. Good beer/ drinks. Only losing a star because of slightly slow service..

We visited today about 3.30/4pm it was really quiet which was nice. The seat on the sofa kept sliding and my 6 year old ended up in tears because the seat had come away from the base of the chair and pinched her finger as she tucked her chair in. The service was ok, staff were friendly enough when you saw them, but didnt see many staff at all 2bh. My Mum and daughter had fish and chips which they both enjoyed. My youngest daughter had a childs pizza which she left most of cause it was near enough raw. I had the halloumi wrap which tasted ok but I was really unwell about half hour after eating it. Not nice when you are out shopping and have to leave your basket of stuff to find the nearest toilet. We have visited here loads of times and have always enjoyed our time here. However we were extremely disappointed today which is such a shame.

Price's are great but after visiting the pub for the first time yesterday I wasn't impressed with the staff. There was a female behind the bar that didn't make us feel very welcome and I witnessed her being quite rude to an old couple. The old man had ordered the wrong drink for his wife and when his wife explained this to her she was very blunt and said it wasn't her problem he had ordered the wrong drink and she would need to purchase another. Friendly bar staff should be a must surely. I won't be returning, I doubt the old couple will too.

Cheap grub but quality. The place is well decorated and the atmosphere is splendid. It is a family restaurant and the food selection is great and like all Wetherspoons they have a hot drink free refill. The toilets are fairly clean and the place is huge. The staff are friendly and what else can I say but nothing.

Discussing staff in guilford weatherspoon .....rude ..and the managers are the worse ...never will go there again

Went to watch the Euro final, which was very crowded. Due to the crowd, the quality of service was not as good as usual, which can be overlooked. However, the quality of food and drinks was excellent as always, and I experienced a great atmosphere and excitement, even though England finally lost the game 😢

Met here with a couple of old friends and after we had 3 pints and a meal each the upstairs manager came over and said he wouldn't serve us any more because one of us had apparently fallen asleep at the urinal in the toilet. Absolutely bizarre and ridiculous, never go there again, revolting staff and he wasn't the only one.

It's a weatherspoons, it is what it is. Ok, for a few drinks but atmosphere and service is a little lacking.

Great place as it used to be a car factory and they've kept some of it so it looks amazing inside.

Horrible customer service by some of the female staff and the manager was supportive of that behaviour as well. Truly disappointed at the service and the attitude towards customers.

Wetherspoons basically, staff were quick to take empties from our table, didn't eat at this one, the Englabd friendly against Iceland was on, the atmosphere was alright.

I came here today, and a couple of weeks ago, an about a week ago after that (and a lot more) and I am never disappointed!!!! I love coming here as I love the food, service, accessibility, facilities and the environment. The food is affordable and very tasty! I love the large mixed grill, very yummy. The desert is… ooh yeah (absolutely incredible). Toilets are good, service good! Recommend for a lovely lunch. If you’re interested, if I’m feeling lucky this is my usual -> one large mixed grill with chips (ketchup and mango chutney on the side) and for dessert a warm cookie dough sandwich! Very filling and yummy!

Really nice place, very big and it's got a nice atmosphere. We went on a Saturday night, so it was really busy, but we still managed to find a table. Service was pretty quick given that it was Saturday. The food was good too, and arrived very quickly. The atmosphere was nice, if very loud, but that's to be expected when people are pre-drinking for the clubs nearby. Prices are very reasonable because it's Wetherspoons. Would've been nice if I could have found a ketchup bottle that wasn't empty, but again, Saturday night so they were all gone and the staff probably didn't have time to refill them.

Visually a very nice building, and you can't beat wetherspoon prices and the speed of service! Will definitely be back as the building is so nice, lots of history, tastefully designed.

Beautiful period building. Order over at the bar or through the app. Good value food, quality of food in line with the price. Portion sizes have not shrunk too much over the years but prices, like everywhere else, has gone up quite a bit.

As Wetherspoons go it's not too shabby. Well presented in a fabulous historical building.

IT WAS 10:40PM. I SAT DOWN. I ORDER RAMEN, PEAS AND STELLA ON THE APP. A YOUNG LOOKING GENTLEMAN WITH A PATCHY BEARD DELIVERED MY FOOD. OH MY, THAT CAKE WAS WONDERFUL. I WILL BE RETURNING FOR ANOTHER MOUTHFUL😛😛😛.

Just ordered a medium rare gourmet steak. Very last time. I also stained my pants with chewing gum glued to the bottom of the table. Had a great time, thank you.

the absolute WORST Wetherspoons I’ve ever been too!! We were having a laugh and a joke at our table as it was a friends birthday, the manager came over and said “keep it down” I replied with no, we’re not even being noisy or loud? Then she marched back to our table and DEMANDED to know what I said. Very rude and shouldn’t be in management at all! 0/10 needs a new manager.

The food was unfortunately quite average. The service was OK (one waitress was handy in helping sort a parking issue out) but we were never asked how our food was or if we needed anything else. We had to go outside due to a live music event on (this I expected as I was forewarned, and it was heated and under cover which was nice, however, people were smoking cigarettes which, because it was under cover, meant the place smelled quite badly of cigarette smoke which I find very unpleasant.

I've started the Wetherspoons tour, travelling to all different venues. Since I started 2 months ago I think this place is my favourite. Located in an old Motor Factory this place is full of character and history. I got a nice pint of Mad Squirrel Trident for £2.80. Can't go wrong. I give this places a 10/10 compared to others I've been to.

If you are young and in guildford... not a bad place to get a drink on a friday nigh

Brilliant place, food and staff

Staff in this Wetherspoons confiscated my 18 year old daughters provisional driving license and refused to return it to her as they thought it was fake. Fortunately she found a police officer who went in and verified her identity and retrieved it on her behalf. She was utterly humiliated and almost left without her driving license 2 days before her driving theory test.

As this chain its a bit better than average. Ramen noodles with 🍝 don't bother

This is the stickiest Wetherspoons I have ever been to. Literally every surface is sticky. What are they cleaning this place with, glue? Apart from that, it’s alright.

Horrific, staff are extremely rude and entitled. Would not go back again nor recommend any people to go there too. Absolutely horrific.

On this occasion we had to leave, couldn't hear ourselves speak over the loudspeakers, walked round the place to see if there was a quiet table . . .there wasn't! It was the same throughout

Food was ok, but prices have gone up just like everywhere else. Pub itself was super noisy and very busy. Its not a quiet family pub, more for the younger people on the weekends.

I only went in for a coffee. Great price and free refills. Excellent! Staff were very friendly too.

Not all menu items were available, served something slightly different from what was ordered, but my own fault for going to a Spoons !

Very reasonable curry and a drink for £10 or there abouts. Made for a nice evening.

Ok it’s a Weatherspoons. So cheap and cheerful. Sad people watching… breakfast beer and wine seems to be the norm . Breakfast was ok though not as warm as it could have been . Staff are friendly. Place is clean and tidy . Has a huge selection of beers .. bit too early for me though!!

Big spoons in the middle of guildford. Plenty of seating upstairs and downstairs. Rare steak was cooked perfectly, really enjoyed my food and drink!

It's a fairly typical Wetherspoons. One good side the food is not bad. Good price, large portions, not bad at all. The bar though is understaffed. One person at best, at worst you need to wait for someone to appear. Good range of drinks though with a great selection of craft ales/beers at very good prices.

I've been here a few times in the past. A large Wetherspoons branch near the train station and on the edge of the town centre. A rather wonderful Wetherspoons branch in an old car factory and certainly one of the better ones, in terms of the building - in the surrounding area. Ordered the Veganuary BBQ Stack Burger and a pint of Leffe Blonde. Leffe arrived within a few minutes of ordering. The BBQ stack burger was well presented, although I thought the chip portion was slightly on the mean side, especially as the prices are a little more expensive than many other Wetherspoons branches. This particular meal is £9.53 in Guildford, £8.97 in other locations I've been to. No other complaints with the food taste or quality though. Worth a visit if in Guildford centre!

Always a stable for a cheaper meal out. Food always comes quick & can usually get a table. Could be cleaner and less sticky but that’s spoons.

Well-decorated building, great service, comfortable seating and reasonable prices. Only let down slightly by the quality of the food and the manners of the fellow clientele this evening. Will be back another day I'm sure!

Went yesterday afternoon (22/12/23), had cod, beans and chips and a pint of Corona for £9.01, normally £11.72 (there is a promo between 2-5pm, Mon to Fri), the meal was delicious and considering how busy it was, the service was very efficient and friendly. I was on the top floor, the young lady in a light blue shirt seemed to be in charge and her and her team did an excellent job. The atmosphere in the pub was very pleasant, I think this is the best Wetherspoons I've been in. Well done!

My wife and I went here for a meal after watching a movie at the Odeon nearby. We both ordered the same meal, 8 oz classic steak, chips and Mediterranean salad. It was delicious and the meat cooked to perfection. The only minor complaint I have is that they use those small plastic thin tubes that you squeeze out mustard, for example. . These are cheap and tacky. Same with the salt and pepper paper sachets. Mayonnaise and ketchup comes in the standard squeeze bottles, so why can't at least the mustard? And regular salt and pepper mills/shakers. The food is very resonably priced, so perhaps this means small sachets. I shouldn't spoil the review with this, as everything else is wonderful. I come here before or after I see a movie with a friend of mine.

An interesting building in a good location. The food and service was good. Being a weatherspoons the prices are reasonable. I recommend for a decent cheap meal.

Just fabulous in all respects. Helpful staff, good service & the layout, (an old factory building from the early 1900's) is brilliant. There's a lot of space & whilst this pub is big, it never feels too busy.

We came here today and Mellisa greeted us and cleared the table from the previous sitting. From beginning to end she gave 1st class service and couldn’t do enough for us. It was very busy but she offered to get us our sauces (which we politely declined as we could see she was run off her feet) she came back in good time to make sure everything was okay and if we needed anything else. She was so polite and friendly and just amazing. She is an absolute credit to your team at Guildford and the company!
