Thyme Restaurnat at Premier Inn, Portsmouth, Port Solent in Portsmouth

Pensé que la comida en este restaurante era una de las mejores comidas de conveniencia que he tenido en años, estaba deliciosa ya un precio razonable. Tengo dos comidas principales y dos juegos de desayunos ya que me estaba quedando en el hotel por dos noches y no me puedo quejar de ninguna de las comidas. El menú tenía una buena selección, la comida era deliciosa, el servicio era bueno. Sinceramente, deseo vivir más cerca, ya que estaría comiendo aquí todo el tiempo.

No habíamos comido en este restaurante antes, ya que estábamos alojados en la posada de primera clase y decidimos probarlo. Era muy tranquilo, ya que era justo después del año nuevo, miramos el menú y era muy diferente del menú habitual para las carnes, habíamos reservado el desayuno y preguntamos si podíamos mejorar la oferta de comida, lo cual hicimos, lo que me gusta del personal son muy amables y serviciales, y nada es una molestia, la comida era muy buena, los dos teníamos gambas para comenzar, luego comí un pollo al curry que era muy bueno, en general, la comida era un buen estándar Lo único que arruinó la noche fue que hacía mucho frío en el restaurante y en el bar. Informé a la camarera y luego nos mudamos a otra parte del bar. Al final tuve que ponerme el abrigo, hacía mucho frío. . Estoy seguro de que había una buena razón para esto, pero nos desanimó, acerca de regresar a este hotel. La comida era buena, el servicio era bueno, sin embargo hacía frío.

Siendo un huésped habitual en Premier Inn en todo el país, estoy acostumbrado a la variedad de restaurantes que se encuentran en sus hoteles. Me parece cada vez más irritante encontrar diferentes condiciones con respecto a "ofertas de comida". Este lugar ocupa un lugar alto en el menos complaciente. Solo carling, vino o refrescos incluidos. Solo cuando expresé mi insatisfacción se ofreció a Magners, tal vez mi servidor lo omitió por error. No se ofrece cerveza real. No se ofrece cerveza / cerveza premium incluso con un recargo a pagar (como se ofrece en muchos otros restaurantes adjuntos a otros Premier Inns). El menú de comida es estándar como en muchos otros. Me faltó ver cualquier salchicha y puré, Doom bar pudding n mash. El menú está marcado con aquellas comidas que tienen un suplemento para aquellos en una oferta de comida, pero no menciona qué comidas no están incluidas / disponibles en una oferta de comida Grrrrrrrr. Es muy molesto saber más tarde que algunas cosas no están disponibles; debería ser más claro desde el principio. Las comidas sabían bien. El pudín de toffee pegajoso fue un placer. Servicio justo

Visitamos como estábamos alojados en el Premier Inn y fue conveniente. Tenía cena y desayuno y en ambas ocasiones la comida era de buena calidad. El menú de la noche es un poco pequeño, pero disfrutamos de lo que teníamos y los precios estaban bien. El servicio / personal era bueno y si recomiendo una visita

good food , breakfast and dinner , we stayed at the hotel , but had guests over for dinner a few times. good selection , good service , and they keep the kids happy !

Checked into the premier inn next door after a 5hr drive, unpacked and walked to Thyme. Waited a couple of minutes as there was no greeter on the door. The restaurant was obviously two thirds empty yet we were asked to wait whilst he seated a booking who were behind us. On his return he asked us to wait 15 minutes before he could find us a table. Pretty sure I could see several myself. Needless to say we didn't stick around.

As part of premier inn, a very poor management to lack basic foods, ice cream and the staple of steaks, we had to wait while ice cream came from the supplier even so a twenty four hour supermarket just a short walk away, sad my friend,sad

I've eaten at Thyme before when I stayed in London at Blackfriars and the food isn't exactly Corden Bleu but it's tasty and fast and well presented and the staff are friendly and welcoming. The restaurant ambiance is great and it's a nice place to eat and it's warm and tastefully decorated. I finished again with the Eaton Mess and thankful to say it was equally as delicious. The menu is great value and I'd rate it as "tasty comfort food" and you won't be disappointed if your looking for something fast, convenient and delicious.

Staff on bar were friendly but staff in restaurant forgot to call us in for dinner from bar area . Limited choice for vegetarians , pricey for what we had .

Bless them. A somewhat rag tag mob of kids attempting to run a fully booked 500 room (I might be slightly out on that but there's a lot of rooms) hotel and restaurant? What can possibly go wrong. Food took forever. Staff looked sleepy and disinterested. And my own personal bug bear...... The tables were sticky. I might go a bit more upmarket next time and head for Frankie and Bennies.

Had meal booked for 6 people for 7.15pm went in on time waited over an hour for meal to arrive in the meantime we have two ,four year olds tired and hungry from theirs day on beach ,getting very stressed told our order had gone to the bar now why would the waitress who took order give it to the bar ,and why if she saw us with no food did she not go to find out why ?? Finely got the boys to bed but two of us waited ages for dessert finely we left at 9.10 so two hours to have a meal ,not very happy they discounted our bill by £20 but spoilt our evening .going to send letter of complaint to premier inn head office when I get home

We stayed at the Premier Inn across the road and their catering facility was shut. We crossed the road and were very pleased with our All Inclusive breakfast which is in a quite comfortable restaurant with pleasant staff.

I visited this resteraunt on 12th June 2016. Me and my girlfriend were staying in the premier inn next door. The Camembert starter was very nice but that's where the good food stopped appearing. I ordered a medium rare sirloin steak which came out well done. I asked for a new steak to be cooked medium rare again and it came out with the underside not even cooked. We had chicken wings side which were also overcooked and dry.

Great tasty food and excellent quality. Special mention to Georgia who was very professional in her service. Lovely young lady who goes about her business with a smile on her face. The other staff serving were top class as well, very well done to all and look forward to eating in this establishment next week

My wife and I visited in September last year and experienced the longest waiting time for a simple meal ever. During the wait at least five tables left without ordering meals. Our mood was good and we decided to sit it out. The staff interest levels were as low as we have seen! So a second chance came about this past weekend! Improvement?? I don't think so. My wife is passionate about her steak being delivered blue. This one arrived above the medium to well done on the scale. In fairness the taste was ok but not as requested. The waitress did credit this off our bill. As a consolation we ordered an Irish coffee. A mud coloured sludge appeared in a glass! I am not accustomed to complaining but took the "coffee"to the creator? at the bar with a picture of a correct example on my phone. He looked at it and advised me they had to use their shaped glasses!! Not a clue. Sorry guys - twice and out!!

Stayed in Premier In Port Solent and thought we would try their Meal Deal.The service was excellent from start to finish, the member of staff taking our order was very pleasant and helpful when my wife wanted a small alteration to the item on the menu.The service was quick and efficient and the only slight downfall was the air con made it a bit chilly.The food was presented and tasted good the shallot and red wine sauce was very good accompaniment to my steak , for some French fries instead of chips may not appeal but for us was a good change.Cannot fault for the price.

We were stopping at Premier Lodge before an early boat the next morning so decided to eat in. A pleasant meal, but quite unremarkable, nothing out of the ordinary. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Stayed in the Premier Inn Hotel for four nights on business with a colleague, and figured it was convenient to eat in the Thyme restaurant downstairs, so we booked a table. On arrival we were seated and given menus but not offered a drink, the next couple seated by the same hostess were offered drinks and were told about the 2 for 1 offers available, which they took advantage of. We still hadn't been served.....15 minutes later we were finally served and I asked about the 2 for 1 on drinks, to which I was told "it's only available in the bar" I explained that the couple at the next table had been offered drinks, by your colleague, to which I was told "I will have to check with the manager" seriously! We did eventually get 2 for 1 and the food was ok, but the service and attitude is shocking.

Staying at the Premier Inn so booked the Meal Deal offer which is good value. Staff very friendly. Standard food for this type of restaurant. The evening meal was good, but the cooked breakfast poor as self service and kept under heating lamps so didn't taste very fresh.

The best thing about the restaurant is the friendly and pleasant staff. The menu is heavy on burgers and steaks with not much choice is you want a lighter meal. My chicken caeser salad had a good portion of chicken but was heavy on the dressing and the croutons were soggy. Avoid early evening if you prefer not to have kids running wild!

Lovely breakfast spent 2 nights at the hotel so came down in the morning to lovely well cooked breakfast help your self service so was able to choose how much bacon I ate

I used this place a few times before and it has always been good but you can only review your experience and this one wasn't good. Bank Holiday Monday night and Tuesday morning. Staff here are usually lovely but something seemed to be going on. Lad working the tables was okish but generally a bit indifferent. Two families near me seemed to be ignored totally after being seated and waited a long long time just for drinks and had to ask again for them. My chicken wings starter were ok but arrived with no sauce or slaw as advertised. The main chicken curry was average and the popadoms were soft. I was then charged for 3 drinks when I'd had 2 which wasn't the end of the world but I then had to wait a further 15mins for it to be amended. Breakfast was poor. 2 x luke-warm pale veggie sausages, greasy eggs and greasy mushrooms.

Reasonable prices lighter menu than adjacent beefeater. Super friendly service that helped me look through what I could eat being gluten intolerant! Enjoyed the meal and didn't feel rushed to leave once we had finished our food. Would return!

We were staying at the attached Premier Inn so it was convenient to eat here. The restauant wasn't very busy when we visited and service was at a good pace. My husband's steak was very good quality as was my salmon dish. Reasonable, average prices. Service pleasant and efficient.

Staying at the attached Premier Inn we took the meal deal and ate in the Thyme Restaurant. It was surprisingly good with a wide selection of meals covering the usual pub-type food and more exotic options. I had a chicken salad which was well flavoured and a good selection of fresh salad veg and the chicken was still moist but well cooked. Reasonable selection of wines and overall good value. I wouldn't make a special trip to this part of Portsmouth just to eat at the restaurant, but if you are in the Premier Inn its probably better than going out.

Ate here with my family whilst staying at the Premier Inn.The food was lovely, we were waiting a little while but food was fresh so didn't mind so much. We did the meal deal which was really good value!My little one was quite taken with our waitress (Hazel) who was lovely with her, a real credit to Thyme/Premier Inn!.The breakfast was also fresh and plentiful and lots of choices, would definitely return here next stay.

Lovely atmosphere and really nice food. We had a late change of plans but there was no problem accommodating us without a booking.

We stayed at the premier inn whilst visiting Portsmouth for the weekend and decided to use their restaurant for ease. I have visited Thyme restaurants in the past and had a good experience, however this is probably the worst service I have ever received in any restaurant. The staff are pleasant but have no idea what is going on. They spent so much time taking that the cooks had to deliver the food. We waited around 25 minutes for the drinks to arrive and a further 25 minutes after ordering for our starters to arrive which were ok. The mains arrived around 30 minutes later and we're all nearly cold. The ribs were sent back and was told they would cook a fresh batch but It turned out they had just reheated the food which then arrived after everyone had finished. The meat was then dry and very tasteless. The 2 deserts we ordered had melted with half the ice cream running down the edge of the plate. Throughout this we were not once apologised to or asked how the food was despite complaining. We then spent another 20 minutes trying to sort out the bill which was incorrect 3 times. I would not recommend this place to anyone and will never revisit!

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights at early May bank holiday. Breakfast on the Sunday was rubbish as we had to wait ages for half of hot buffet items. Staff tried not to make eye contact when you went to approach them as I felt they were embarrassed to not be able to give answers. Sunday night we thought we'd try an evening meal. Myself & my fiancé had breaded mushrooms that were so overcooked you couldn't pick them up with a fork. When the main courses eventually arrived a burger & steak were both cremated & very dry. Although we ended up not paying for our food, most of which couldn't be eaten it was too late to go anywhere else. I would not eat here again

The staff are helpful, polite and friendly but not in your face while trying to eat. Food was lovely and everyone around seemed to be commenting on the food quality

Very sad in here on a Friday night. Service is slow, they seem to love spraying tables and cleaning with a cloth that has seen better days. Place is really empty, it says wait to be seated, people did and then just walked away.. They had run out of fish and chips and curry on a Friday!!! I think you need to look at this as I have never been to any restaurant on a Friday where it's DEAD quite and they don't have these basic things available.

Typical food for the brand, service good but unreliable as overstretched at busy times. Good selection at breakfast too.

Had dinner here when staying at Hotel. Service was quick, friendly staff.Took advantage of meal deal which is very good value.Main course (ribs) was excellent. Well cooked and presented.Sweet (trifle) was disappointing. It was served in glass bowl and was slopped over sides. Looked as if no thought had gone into care of presentation. Was not as illustrated on menu. Aside from that it was very tasty.

Lovely food for all 7 of us. Not just taste but also value for money! And the special offer of meal and breakfast made it even better.

To avoid disappointment, it is best to book. The food is ok, service ok, price ok, easy to eat here while staying if you're tired.

We had a lovely meal here. Prices reasonable. But the following morning at breakfast, the plates/dishes were very dirty. Had to go through about 10 plates in the pile before I found a clean one. Despite that the breakfast was great.

Lots of food on offer in this restaurant and has a very cosy feel about it. There is a very colourful and decent menu with lots of food and drink to choose from. It is a great place to have breakfast and dinner!

Overnighter for business.Booked an early table for dinner.I've eaten here before and it's been consistently good.Staff are always welcoming and seated quickly.Thought I'd try the 'Full House' hot dog.Was ok but the corn on the cob was stone cold, although it had charred edges giving the impression it had been grilled. At a guess I'd say this was a pre-cooked, then frozen, then poorly microwaved re-heat job.A minor quibble but it did put me off the rest of the food.Probably should have mentioned it to the waitress but t.b.h just wanted to get back to the room.Hey-ho...you win some, you lose some.

Had breakfast here after staying at the Premier Inn. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, seating us immediately and explaining the breakfast options quickly and clearly. Buffet-style breakfast with excellent choice of good quality hot and cold food plus juices and hot drinks. Considering that you can eat as much as you like, at just over £8 for breakfast, I think this is pretty good value.

A nice surprise with good food and service. Very good value, great if staying at PI.A bit short on atmosphere! But everything else good.

We had BnB it was really good the kids loved it and we would definitely go back. Very clean good quality food

Very slow service sat at 9.15 after waiting for an hour for a table for no apparent reason, the restaurant was quiet and there were empty tables. Had a starter which took 30 minutes to arrive and the main took another 45 minutes after finishing our starter! The restaurant was very quite, we were the only 2 people eating!Rude staff, very unprofessional!

Dined here as a part of our stay at the adjoining Prremier Inn and paid £22 ish for the meal deal which included full English Breakfast.They've changed the system now so that the meal deal includes any 2 courses on the menu and a mere £2 for a 3rd course.My Wife had the duck parcels for starter and the Burger for main. I had a Prawn Cocktail starter and a mixed grill main. I was reluctantly expecting a huge mixed grill which would be over facing but actually, it was the perfect size. Didn't seem small as a portion but not too much to either over fill you or end up leaving half of it. The steak came medium rare exactly as requested and everything else was cooked to perfection.Our little 10 year old really enjoyed the hot dog and chips and finished off sharing a huge chocolate ice-cream sundae with us both.Service was great and the value exceptional

Recently stayed here with my fiancé for a simple couples night away, my first time staying at a Premier Inn & I was very impressed. The car park was large & full of free spaces, the outside of the building was appealing & welcoming & well sign posted. The reception area was clean, tidy & presentable & the checking in process was done with minimal fuss. Our room was very clean, had everything we needed & was spacious. The shower was large & ran well with plenty of hot water. The bed/pillows were extremely comfortable & a good night sleep was guaranteed as their advertisements claim. Before staying here I had often opted to stay in other hotel chains but after this experience will be pushing for the Premier Inn where possible in the future.

Stayed here for one night at the start of march and as usual the room was spotless and very comfortable however what let this hotel down was the restaurant and the speed of the service, It took over 30mins from the point of ordering to get my starter a prawn cocktail then a further 30mins to get my main which was the hot dog which when I received it felt like it had been microwaved as the bun was so hard I could not cut through it with my knife it's the first time I have felt let down at a premier.

stayed here last weekend and had such a nice meal, the food was brilliant, perfectly cooked. It was one of the best meals i've had in a restaurant. the staff were amazing, it was busy but the service wasn't effected by this. Very friendly staff and more then welcome to help with anything we needed. My wife had the fish and chip and she said it was fab, which is a massive compliment coming from her as its normally an 'its alright', nice size as well, not too big or too small. I had the mixed grill and every single item on my plate was cooked so perfectly i could have eaten it again. The restaurant looked really nice, very well presented, nice a cosy, some really nice colours in there and very nice atmosphere, very chilled. The value for money is pretty good also. Thank you for such lovely service and food.

the service was brilliant, really freindly servers and wait for food was minimal, when food arrived it looked well presented and hot, tasted as good as it looked!

We stayed at Premier Inn on Sunday 25th August.Entered restaurant at 19.30, and served at 20.00,I had fish & chips, and the batter on the fish was so hard I had difficulty in reaching the fish!It was inedible. This was the worst food I have ever been presented.My wife had a pasta dish which had the texture of rubber.The restaurant staff agreed and offered us a replacement dish which we declined, and said they would not charge for the meal.Very comfortable hotel, excellent staff, but would NEVER eat there again.
