The restaurant menu was very sparse. The quality and presentation of the food was poor. Having complained about this at the same hotel in past nothing happened then and I doubt it will now. The only reason that Iate there was the meal deal otherwise I could have gone to McDonalds.

Ate at the restaurant when visiting the premier inn, there was a very limited menu of only 9 main meals (4 of which being different variations of a chilli con carne). Ordered the rigatoni, the pasta was chewy and the bolognese was tasteless; also did not taste freshly cooked. Staff were pleasant but did not ask how our food was and took 20 minutes to clear our plates when there was only us and one other table present. Would not eat here again.

I visited the restaurant of this hotel while staying locally. I arrived at 5:50 and was one of only 3 people in the restaurant area, I ordered and the staff member explained the kitchen opened at 6pm and I’d have my order by 6:10pm. I explained I needed to be finished by 6:30, so that was fine. At 6:16 I received my order but the order was clearly wrong, I’d order a vegan burger and got a bacon cheese burger, the same member of staff apologised, took the wrong order away and said the new order would be 6 mins, I waited until 6:40pm and when I still hadn’t received my order went to the bar to pay for the drink I had. Although the staff were apologetic, I was surprised they didn’t waive the cost of the drink as a gesture of good will as I left without even receiving the order I’d place over 50mins earlier.

The menu was very very sparse . Much better food in McDonald’s. The SPECIAL burger was just a chicken burger ,i asked what made it special and was told they have a chef in tonight who can prepare a chicken burger ,most nights you can only have a beef burger .the rest of the menu was a choice of curry or curry ! Don’t eat at this place as they will make excuses all the time .

If staying at the Premier Inn this restaurant is located in I would say a big yes to eating there. Food was very good well presented and plenty. I had over the 2 nights I stayed, for starters the lamb kofta with Greek salad the next night the salmon and avocado with salad (I asked for some extra virgin olive oil or balsamic vinegar to go with and was given an ample bowl of both together. Both were served with slices of ciabatta. Mains were haddock and chips and the chicken breast in breadcrumbs with garlic melted butter fried egg on top with chips. Staff were friendly and helpful. Very good worth a try

Very basic food, badly cooked. It took 35 minutes to produce the food. The bread buns on the burgers were burnt and scraped, the chips were almost cold, the fish was a cheap freezer brand like a large fish finger, the cole slaw consisted of curled up chopped veg with no sauce, the chicken burger was almost cold and soggy. Some improvements after sending the food back but the thin fries had been reheated and were totally unpalatable. Basically they didn't get anything right but the staff were very pleasant. Pretty appalling.

Great chicken wings, good steak and the sundaes are enormous. Yes, a basic menu, but enjoyed what we had and enough choice to suit all

This was the roomy in house restaurant to the Loughborough Premier Inn Hotel. Excellent for convenience and a decent choice of menu with at least some respite from " fast food". Very good value for money and excellent, helpful staff. And non sticky tables!! The breakfast was excellent, good Costa coffee, and decent wine menu.

I stay at the Hotel on a weekly basis and the food is very hit and miss. I always tend to order medium rare stak and moe often than not, it comes over cooked. To be fair to the Staff, they always offer to have another cooked for you, but somehow, I think after a long day away from home and for £15, it should be right first time.

The deep fried mushrooms were too dry and the BBQ sauce to overpowering. Fish and chips average - chips don't taste better if they are put in a cone in a pottery dish.

Menu is not hugely extensive but certainly has enough choice for evening meal. Not fancy but well cooked and cheerfully served. Good value.

the breakfast in the restuarant was good, but the evenign meal was average at best, three of us ate and each meal was worng to that ordered, not in a big way but annoyingly so.Steak order without salard, arrived with salard, gammon ordered well done wasnt, etc..A bit more attention to detail and this could have been a good meal and a 4 star

Our son ate for free as we were staying in the hotel. The hot buffet had the usual cooked breakfast selection, lots of pastries, juice and hot drinks. Fantastic service from friendly waiting staff.

Grei frokost, og ok meny. Salaten jeg bestilte, druknet dessverre i grillsaus - de andre var mer fornøyde med sine retter. Ville ha likt kokte egg til frokost - de stekte blir som gummi når de ligger en stund.

Stayed at the premier inn for a couple of nights with my husband. We decided to dine in the Thyme restaurant, which was on site. The staff and service was superb. Very friendly and helpful. Now for the food. What can i say except it was exeptional. You always expect a decent meal, but our 3 course meal was way beyond that. It was well presented, tasted amazing and was good portions. I would definately dine there again.

Really enjoyed my meals at this restaurant. Welcomed by a very nice restaurant manager and served by his impressive waiting staff. They give the impression they are there to make sure you have a good experience and they certainly done this on my visit. Quality of my steak was very good and I enjoyed my meal from start to finish. Thanks you. See you again.

We decided to dine in the Thyme Restaurant located within the hotel. The service was very attentive and the communication from Paul, whom I assume to be the manager was great. The 2 course deal for £12.75 was just enough for us all to be suitably satisfied. The chicken wings were hot & moist and the moist wet wipe and Tabasco sauce was a nice little touch. The chicken Thai curry, steak and pasta all received good reviews from my friends. I did feel a bit jealous when the desserts arrived at the table and I'd already eaten as they also looked great. We even managed to finish our meal with a well made Irish coffee and biscotti. The team on duty were very young yet attentive to all of our needs. Again, at breakfast the service was far beyond what we expected. The poached eggs were perfectly cooked and the self serve breakfast buffet was the best I've ever tasted in any hotel brand. Keep up the great work and we will be sure to return soon. What a pleasant surprise that a hotel restaurant was not just catering for guests stopping within the hotel.

The staff are young but give excellent service to accompany a standard Premier Inn menu - with which I have never been disappointed. The £22.95 meal deal - a 3 course meal with a drink and breakfast the following morning is excellent value!

We stayed at the Premier Inn and came back to Thyme for deserts and drinks after an evening in town. There was quite a selection of deserts and we can recommend the chocolate brownie and the caramel apple crumble with ice cream. The staff were helpful and polite both in the restaurant and bar and were quick to clear the tables.

I stayed in the Premier Inn- one of my reasons for doing this on business trips is the rooms and the adjoining restaurant. I was a little disappointed at menu - but enjoyed the food I had. The Ultimate Burger was huge!I didn't feel out of place as a single traveller on business and the staff were friendly.I would go again to Thyme

We stayed overnight in the adjoining Premier Inn and booked a table at the restaurant for our evening meal. We were informed that a new menu had just been introduced and asked us to be patient as they'd had a few teething problems with food, service etc.We didn't experience any problems whatsoever - the service was excellent, the prices were fair and the food was delicious. I had one of the best chicken curries I've ever tasted. We really liked the décor, it felt warm and cosy.I don't think this restaurant has been open for very long, we would certainly recommend it and eat here again if we were staying in the area.

Sadly, whilst this location is temporarily closed, I look forward to being welcomed back to a local and convenient place to eat which serves typical menu items at affordable prices.

A passable Wetherspoons pub that served a purpose that morning to give us a spot to rest up and have a coffee. Totally unmemorable and unremarkable, a Wetherspoons pub that feels like it has had it's time and they've had enough. Really didn't enjoy either of the 'Spoons in Loughborough at all which is a shame. When run properly, Wetherspoons has a place in a town, sadly not in Loughborough apparently.

My daughter went in for 1 lot of chips with her bank card while I waited outside, they charged he £7 for a cone of chips , when I went in to ask them about the price they charged her they just chucked the money on the counter with not one word ! Not even an apology! The manager couldn't even speak to apologise either and was stood next to the girl who has no voice ! It's not how you run a business How many kids do they do this to ! You can't see the price on the card machine as its behind the screen facing them . Very rude staff , I will not be returning
