We went for the wine and dine experience for my birthday it was fabulous and I thought great value for money..2 of us had scallops 1 had sticky chicken and 1 had squid for main we had chicken steak and belly pork all the food was delicious the wine that came with the package was lovely we had Will as our waiter he was very knowledgeable pleasant and very attentive 5 stars for him.The atmosphere is nice all round great place to eat and drink will be returning in a few weeks.

I really enjoyed my evening at the Bulls Head, Woodhouse with our friends whom one was celebrating a 65th birthday. It was a fabulous deal meal.! Our waiter was a lovely lad called Will he was so knowledgeable regarding the menu and explained the different dishes and wine. My husband had the scallop starter but I had the squid which was so nice. For our mains we chose the rib eye steak & barbecue chicken with a sauce…so so delicious. My husband had a chocolate bomb sweet & I exchanged my sweet for a cocktail 🍸. Such a great deal and we all agreed well worth the money.

Went for a graduation meal celebration yesterday.Absolutely fantastic. Could not fault anything..the food,the service,the ambience.All really lovely. They did charge us for complimentary graduate champagne but quickly resolved it without question. Would highly recommend.

We love popping in here for a quick drink on the way home, snacking on the range of small plates or booking for a lovely lunch or evening meal.

Had my 62 guest wedding meal on 6th July 2024. The staff were superb and the food was excellent. Would definitely recommend. Noah, one of the waiters, was extremely friendly and always had a smile on his face.

Just like to thank all the staff for the wonderful service at the wedding reception we attended. The food was excellent and nothing was to much trouble. A special mention to Noah who definatley went above and beyond and put a smile on our faces with his customer services. What a disappointment ! Shown to our table at 2.05 pm for Sunday Lunch. Very quickly served with drinks , and food order taken by 2.15pm. Then it all went downhill. Meals arrived around 2.50pm on hot plates, but the food was well overcooked and cold. My trio of roast meats comprised of a small chicken leg, one small slice of hard beef and a 4inch by 2inch piece of pork. My wife had 4 slices of beef which were overcooked and hard. No member of staff came over to check on us either during the meal or even after we had finished. At 3.45pm, by which time we were the only occupants of that section of the restaurant, I had to go looking for a staff member to attend to us, so that the table could be cleared. As we were now well past ordering a desert, we ordered 2 coffees. These came with one of them badly spilt into the saucer. If we hadn't insisted, that would have been left as it was. The young girl took the cup and saucer away, and returned with a clean saucer , but with the original cup which was half full and streaked with coffee down the sides. Then, once again we were left to our own devices in the empty area of the restaurant. I then had to wander off to the desk to ask for the bill. This was presented and I paid. The staff did not speak or even acknowledge our presence as we left. We have visited the Bull on several occasions and always enjoyed the food and service, so we are not just complaining for the sake of it. Todays food and most of the service was appalling. Why ? Sunday lunch and a good service is not rocket science. It totally spoilt our day.

Fantastically spacious bar and eating area. I didn't eat here myself but the food looked delicious and was expertly presented. You can tell that everyone that works here takes pride in what they do.

I recently treated my family to a meal her with 26 of us.. the staff were outstanding and couldn't do enough for us.. the food was second to non... I would recommend here to anyone and will 100% be revisiting in the near future ❤️

I live in Birmingham but my daughter lives in Leicester city centre. I have visited many pub / restaurants in Leicester over the last few years but none have persuaded me to become their regular return customer. So, I was still searching for somewhere new where my wife and myself could celebrate our youngsters 26th birthday on late May’s Bank Holiday Monday. I did a search using Google maps and just by chance hit upon this place located in a place I had never heard of before, ie. Woodhouse Eaves. It had some good sounding Reviews so I booked a table for the 3 of us. What a lovely place I thought as I entered this unknown to me Leicestershire Village and on entering The Bulls Head its interior certainly enhanced my expectancy that this choice was going to be one of my better decisions. All 3 of us have very different tastes in food or drinks that we prefer. My daughter loves trying different types of Cocktails and non Spicy Food, my wife loves trying out English draught beers and will literally eat “anything” (including very Spicy food) and as a Driver I make sure I always drink a low / non Alcohol “my own drivers drink” (developed over many years of experimenting) but not all Bars have what I prefer and also I am a Vegetarian (but I eat Seafood, so a ?). So, firstly the Bar satisfied our wide and very diverse drinking preferences “so a big thumbs up from all 3 of us”. After being seated Alexandra introduced herself and said she would take all our food and refill drinks orders. We carefully studied our food choices (as we like to share each other’s food dishes, eg. for appetisers /starters, main course and desserts) whenever we eat together. So, we ordered two Starters “to share”, Squid and the Mushroom dishes. Both were Delicious. For main course, my daughter chose Chicken, my wife the Pasta with the King Prawn (+ the Scallops extra option) and I chose the Salad (+ the Sea Bass extra option). My Salad dish was so plentiful that I was able to give half of it away to be shared. In turn my wife shared some of her King Prawns and 1 Scallop with me. My daughter was not quite so generous but I did manage to pinch 2 chips from her plate. All 3 main course dish’s were simply delicious and my Salad was the best Salad dish I have ever been served, just great. For our dessert we just picked the Trio selection and all 3 tasted just fantastic (and there was just enough for all 3 of us to taste and enjoy EACH of these 3 small, BUT very delicious desserts). Just a great choice for our 3 very different and varied taste buds. In our 2 hours being seated my wife had tried several beers and drank 5 Pints and was well satisfied and my daughter 3 different Cocktails and was also very happy on her birthday. For myself I was just so very happy that after years of searching around Leicestershire at long, long last I had found a place that truly made our Family meal together so, very, very enjoyable and all 3 of us so very happy and satisfied.i could not be happier with my Salad main course choice (with the Sea Bass, King Prawn and delicious Scallop). Wow. We are already planning two return visits. First on Saturday, 15th June (a day before Fathers Day) and we will then return for my wife’s birthday on Sunday, 21st July to sample this places well Reviewed Sunday Roast Dinners that I am sure my wife and daughter both being BIG meat eaters will enjoy BUT also I feel confident my Vegetarian option will be delicious also. What a great place located in a lovely Leicestershire village. I highly recommended. The Old Bulls Head to anyone reading my Review. Just the best Pub meal all 3 of us could remember ever. We have been customers of bulls head for nearly 20 years, we have always enjoyed the food and service which is why it’s always been at the top of our list for Sunday roast. We visited last year, and the service and food was appalling but we thought we would try again and to our dismay - no improvements, the food was terrible and the service was atrocious. The bar staff struggled to take our drinks order (we was a party of 6) and when put right, the attitude from this member of staff was rude. The table next to us was complaining about there bill and for some reason all the wait staff felt the need to watch and listen (for 15mins) rather than attend to the rest of the customers. Unfortunately we won’t be coming back and definitely won’t be recommending. It is such a shame that our favourite pub of 20 years has let itself down

have not been here for a few years, so I was delighted when a celebratory meal was held there . The Old Bulls Head certainly lived up to all my memories and the amazing food . This is certainly an upmarket pub . On entering , from the very first second, you feel that you are somewhere totally different from the normal run of the mill pubs . The decor is beautiful and lavish, and the atmosphere is in line with how l would expect such a place to be . All the staff were smartly dressed, extremely polite , friendly, and accommodating. I was in a large party and was amazed at how well we were accommodated and the seating arrangements spot on . Nothing was too much for them , the food and drinks delivered in record time . The food was awesome, and the service and teamwork by a very competent staff was nice to see , extremely well trained . It was refreshing to see the manager playing his part and helping out as we were not the only large group in that night . Price wise, just a little dearer than some places, but you get a lot more for your money, so it was expected . An amazing evening thank-you to the staff and manager . I Deffinately will be returning, so l suggest you try it for a special date night out . Steve.

We went for my friends birthday meal this evening what can I say.. the menu is unreal the food is 10/10 service 10/10 this was my first time dining here and I couldn’t recommend it more... It’s very rare to find restaurants with this high quality of food and isn’t lacking in flavour. Compliments all around! Can’t wait to come back and try more of the menu!

Had a lovely meal Saturday night for my father’s 81st birthday…. It was a little slow ordering drinks but as soon as Will our Server started looking after us it was perfect…. Big shout out to Chef Chris. All our meals were perfect as was my last visit.

Waitress very good....food pathetic. Chips overcooked so hard and inedible...fish same. Compensated by charging half price...but food should be better. In this upmarket venue. Spoilt our visit....and will not visit again!

A special shoutout to waitress Lucy, whose dedication and expertise made our dining experience unforgettable. She went above and beyond, liaising with the chef to ensure every bite was safe and delicious for my gluten allergy. Couldn't ask for better service or a more accommodating staff. The Old Bulls Head has definitely earned a top spot on my list of favorite dining destinations!

Lovely place, staff very friendly and cheerful, food was brilliant the only thing is it was the first time we'd been and even though we were impressed with the food and service it would have been better if they provided a gluten free menu and also more choice of soft food such as shepherds pie for someone who for some reason can't have solid food, but apart from that really enjoyed 😋

We had a nice enough night, Will was amazing and really helped to make the evening. The food was expensive for what we had. We've had a few chateaubriand's, and this was the smallest. It was cooked beautifully, though my chips were over cooked, but the portion was really quite inadequate. A few of our table found the music to be overbearing, mainly because it was dance style music, but the staff kindly turned it down when it was raised. Staff were fab, but we weren't blown away this time sadly.

From the Moment we walked in we were greeted by Friendly Members of Staff we should have been 3 but one was un well we were shown to the table again a very nice young lady asked if we wanted Drinks and then brought us the Menu's she asked if we had any allergies we didn't after a while she came back to take our orders.....I might add the Food was Excellent I had the Pie My Friend had the Burger......the waitress came and checked if everything was OK..... She came back and asked if we would like Desert which we both did I had Creme Brulle my friend had the Brownie..... All in all it was a very good lunch great atmosphere Highly Recommended

Had a delicious lunch here last weekend with my family, food was delicious and we had great service from Alex all afternoon! Will 100% be back again

The Bulls Head is in our top 5 of places to eat but on this occasion it failed to live up to previous experiences. Gone are the chunks of rustic breads replaced with sliced loaf, the fish was poor in contrast to other nice white pieces. No tartare sauce and a drier portion of the minted peas. As we selected our dessert a number of the flavoured ice creams that accompanied the desserts were unavailable and then when we ordered coconut it tasted of rum. To tap it all when the special offer was taken off the starter was not deducted and has remained on the paid bill

Amazing Mother’s Day We arrived at our given time expecting to wait a while as we knew it would be busy on Mother’s Day. Our table was ready on time, and we were shown to it by very friendly host. I cannot fault any part of our experience my mother, wife and 2 children thoroughly enjoyed our time. Service was second to none, incredibly friendly and we were never rushed at any point. Considering how many covers they would have had all food was served together and was delicious. We spent two and half hours eating drinking and having fun. Well done the whole team !!!

Went here for dinner as we were visiting our granddaughter who is studying at Loughborough university. The food was really excellent and the service was very good. They would have got 5 stars but the bar as you enter the pub doesn't really have any service but there was no sign requesting you use the main bar around the corner. That said I would recommend The Old Bulls Head to anyone and we will certainly be returning there on our next visit to Loughborough.

Mothering Sunday last evening The pub was very busy and I think over booked which caused the food to be luke warm , poorly presented and of very poor quality with some meals of meagre size. Long wait for the sweets and condiments in short supply . ( also sauces in bottles passed from table to table which is not be very hygienic ) I felt we could have gone to a local restaurant chain and got better food than at this Premium Pub . Not good value for money at all and very disappointing .

Visited this place for mothers day, food was good but the service was ridiculously rushed and felt like they was trying to push as many people thru the door as possible which really ruined it. We had an early booking and they didn't have what my child ordered on the menu even tho it was 12.15!!! No non alcoholic prosecco and no apple sauce for the pork. The moment we had finished each course our plates were taken and then the next course was brought out which really made the occasion feel disappointing. We have dined here numerous times before but would be hesitant to book again.

Sunday lunch was lovely with huge Yorkshire puddings. The service we received from Tom was vey good just the right amount of hospitality and always with a smile on his face. I had the apple & damson crumble which was excellent the best crumble I’ve had in a long time.

Have been before and this was our second visit, having decided fish and chip Friday was needed. Always great for parking, not too long a wait for a table and with a great drinks list who minds, the food was great, best fish I’ve had for ages. Stuffed ourselves with the best sticky toffee pudding ever (gym needed) thank you again for a lovely lunch!

As older people sometimes we find restaurants a bit too noisy for us but our lunchtime visit was lovely. The atmosphere was welcoming and the waiting team were very attentive. The food was gorgeous and well cooked. Thank you all and we will come back again.

Came here with friends at lunch time, for a meal. The food was absolutely amazing, staff were extremely friendly and couldn't do more for you. Everything was table service, beautifully decorated, nice big car park. Couldn't recommend this place highly enough. Definitely give it a try you won't be disappointed. Made a lovely change to go somewhere where the food was that amazing.

A quiet Monday night, but a lovely meal with fresh ingredients. Enjoyed the mini deserts and hot drink, a great idea. Robyn served us and was helpful and quick. Thank you, we'll be coming back.
