Waited one hour fifteen minutes for fish & chips and the restaurant was half empty and they were turning people away . I have never waited so long for service. They need more staff .

The worst food I’ve ever had in a Premier Inn. I waited a long time for a watery macaroni cheese, probably microwaved. As I was hungry I ate half of it. The tables were old and sticky. I’ll read reviews before eating at a Premier Inn again.

A chain style restaurant with the typical menu catering for all tastes. There were some shortages to be expected in the current situation but not a problem. The meals were tasty, well prepared and came in recent portions. The staff were all helpful and efficent.

I have eaten here a few times and the food is usually pretty good, this time I ordered olives to start but did not realise they were for sharing and the bowl of olives with feta was huge and for £2.49 amazing value and very good unfortunately I could not eat them all too many, I have the Mexican rice bowl for main with no topping as I do not eat meat so had a side of garlic flat bread which was the size of a pizza and could only manage 2 slices food was excellent quality and the staff great especially Sophie who I believe was quite new to the role but she did a brilliant job, and as a lone diner was made to feel very welcome, Thank you

I stayed in the premier inn and dined at Thyme it's quite cosy and very relaxed my waitress was great very attentive. I enjoy the haddock and mozzarella fishcake tho the lettuce on the side should have been left off and it was going grown and soggy. My mains consisted of the Mediterranean salad and a side of patatas bravas which were really good and so many delicious olives on the salad, worth a visit really relaxing

Had our evening meal here as staying at the Premier Inn. We ordered a beef burger and the chicken burger. Both really good. Would like to mention the trainee who was mainly our waitress who was very good. Only drawback is we had to go and ask the guy at the bar if we could settle the bill as the staff seemed to have disappeared for ages!

This is the restaurant linked to the Premier Inn where we were staying. We ate here on our first night. Staff were friendly and we were seated and had our order taken promptly. After over half an hour I had to ask if they could chase our starters. They then returned immediately with them and I suspect they had been plated but left forgotten until our enquiry. Our mains arrived before our dirty plates had been removed. My breaded chicken was very dry and the crumb extremely hard around the edges. My wife's battered haddock was all hard dry batter with very little fish inside. Her chips were extremely over cooked and inedible. We complained about the chips when the meals were delivered and the waitress promised to bring another portion. This she did but by then we were just finishing our meal. The whole service took over two hours which was far too long for a simple two courses. We eventually got the bill but no one came to take payment so we took it to the cashier. I should say that our server Holly tried her best to remedy the situation but the problems seemed to be in the kitchen. We returned to the restaurant in the morning for breakfast. We both chose the Continental option rather than have anything cooked. This means you help yourself to a selection of cereals, fruit, bread/toast, bagels and pastries. All of these were available but other items like milk needing replenishing and plates not being available meant you had to track down a member of staff to deal with it. On our final morning a notice outside the restaurant declared a 40 minute wait for cooked breakfasts so we went across the road to an alternative eatery.

Staying at the Premier Inn on business so easy to use the on site restaurant, part of Premier Inn so not a pub chain, limited menu but ok, service was ok but they seemed to be trying to do too many things other than just serving in the restaurant, my food was ok nothing special but it did the job, my food was slow but I was working on my laptop so no issue, one diner did complain that they had waited 50 minutes for food and she had two kids who need to get to bed, was ok but may just use the KFC next door if I stay again

This is the restaurant within the Premier Inn - and it brings down the standards of the hotel. I had the best night (you do, really, sleep well at a Premier Inn), and the breakfast buffet was great - lots of options! But dinner was a let down: I ordered grilled meat (how difficult is it to get that wrong?) but got the impression that the meat had been fried (in stale oil) before the grilling. The chips were awfull (no idea how they managed to make them taste so bad) and, worse still, the plate on which my meal was served was not only cold, but could most certainly have been cleaner. The staff was friendly, but could have had a smile on their faces... and it would have been appreciated if they had been a bit faster in looking after the guests (at breakfast as well). Sorry, Premier Inn gets top marks for the hotel, but fails on the restaurant side of the equation!

After a disastrous visit to the nearby GBK, we tried this place - with trepidation - but we needn't have worried: it was fab! The burger was massive, tasty and great value, and the staff could not have been more attentive! Really very, very good (and great value for money)!

I have a client in Chichester who I visit annually, as this hotel is just around the corner I normally stay here. This time I didn't but I did pop in for breakfast as it was exceptional last time. What a difference a year makes - in short the £8.99 Full English was disgusting! Last year I praised the local, genuine sausages, dry cured bacon, yellow eggs, black pudding from a butcher etc all served on a massive plate. This year it was the total opposite - watery scrambled eggs, plastic sausages, tasteless bacon, dry black pudding all topped off with diluted orange juice. When the waitress came over and asked "Everything OK" I told here the above. As she had been there for a few years she could do nothing but agree as she remembered the previous excellent breakfast that was on offer. What really annoys me is the reduction in the size of the plate - this is not a buffet - it comes direct from the kitchen, so what is the point in doing it? There are plenty of hotels in the area, I won't be sleeping or eating at this one again. Cost savings really work don't they Premier Inn?

Atmosphere was just right background music not too loud and of a good variety. Everyone was helpful and attentive. Quality of the food was excellent. Our friends were just impressed and said it beat the one they had been enjoying in Bosham hands down. Variety of food and drinks very good. Popping in for breakfast next week. Well done for opening an unique 3 in 1 restaurant, good luck for the future!

Ate here when staying at the Premier Inn which it is part of. It is a very small restaurant and from what I could see was only used by those staying in the hotel unlike some of the other restaurants attached to Premier Inns. The downside of this was that it appeared that there was no clear assignment of tables to the waiting staff. This resulted in long waits for our orders to be taken since everyone else assumed that another member of staff had taken our order. That aside the food was good.

Can't fault the quality of the food, but you have to wait a long time to receive it. From our experience when it does arrive it's wrong or things are missing and the staff don't seem that concerned about correcting it - just blaming other staff!

My partner had around 14 of his family in Chichester for a gardening party, as a gift to his father who recently celebrated his 80th birthday. With myself and my partner's Mum, we totalled 17! The only requirement was that we preordered around an hour before arriving for the meal. Everyone was welcoming, cheery, obliging, and all requests, queries were dealt with rapidly with good humour and grace. Yes the odd thing was missed off, or someone's steak not quite cooked how they preferred but again, it was resolved. My steak was delicious... Sooo much better than many I've had in Beefeater and pubs recently. The wine was superb. And a very loud, happy celebration was had by all. Special thanks to Faye and Deb, the chef (sorry I forget your name) and a even bigger thanks to Chloe who was a Star Give them all a raise!!

I had a meal here while away on business, the staff here are all superb, these guys (and girls) know how to look after you. They all work with a smile, and make sure everything is all as expected. and nothing seems too much trouble, Food was also pretty good, and plenty of it at a reasonable price. I also must say a big thanks to Jamie, I was desperate for drink after a long journey and he ensured I got it promptly, GREAT SERVICE

Had a family meal here and it far exceeded my expectations. Wasn't expecting much but the steak was the nicest I have had for a long time and was cooked to my perfection (medium rare). The vegetables were perfect. My child had the child's menu and she loved the pizza and garlic flatbread. The puddings were delicious. Very good value for money. Also had breakfast and that was also cooked very well.Waiting staff very attentive without being intrusive. Will definately return.

This is the Premier Inn's own restaurant, not run by another organisation like in most Premier Inns, and all the better for it.The cooked breakfast was fine, plenty of choice and served quickly (maybe too quickly if you want to browse through the other offerings and have cereal first), this suited me as I had limited time on a business trip, but if you're chilling out i suggest you ask them to delay service for 10 minutes.I had two evening meals there, the menu is a bit restricted to the popular chain style (mainly burgers, pizzas, pasta etc with some welcome salads etc interspersed). I had the hunter's chicken one night and fish and chips the other. Each was well cooked with good ingredients, most enjoyable. The service was helpful, friendly and efficient, so full marks here! Contrary to another review, the bar was well-stocked.I'd eat here again, and in preference to the nearby establishments at Chichester Gate.

Although the restaurant food is limited and delivery of food ordered can be very slow. The restaurant staff are warm and friendly and try their best. The restaurant is under sized and not well thought out. The bar choice is limited and in need of a draft cask beer and draft cider.

A delicious meal was had, I quickly demolished the mighty mixed grill, meat was all cooked well. Based on the food a 5 out of 5. Staff let it down a bit, no life and little interaction. No cider on tap so over £4 a bottle, pity. And don't charge an extra 50p for triple cooked chips that were worse then normals chips. Breakfast (premier inn style! i.e. all you can eat cooked food) was again delicious. YUMMY!

This place is always busy around lunchtime, hardly surprising given the value. Sadly, I have recently found that my clothes have smelt of smoke after I leave, which is unusual these days. I have also found the food to sometimes be undercooked, which can spoil things. Whilst I respect the concept, this place is a victim of it's own success, offering value that is head and shoulders above anywhere else of it's kind.
